I saw one of my favorite artists, talib kweli, here a few weeks ago! This place is a combination of a bowling alley, sports bar, and concert venue. It should not be a surprise, but it's rather huge. My sister and I already had tickets, and all we had to do was show our IDs, get our tickets scan, and we were able to go right in. From the entrance, there are no signs that indicate where the stage is, so you have to walk around a bit, but it's not difficult. The bowling lanes are straight ahead and there's a long bar. They have some cool looking cocktails, and the one that really caught my attention was a peanut butter espresso martini. For the longest, because I was afraid of how much it would be (it actually wasn't too bad), I resisted the urge, but after the concert, I got one and it was delicious, even though it was not jazzed up and looking fancy like a typical espresso martini. They put it in a plastic cup and that was pretty much it haha XD. Anyways, the concert was a blast, and it's awesome that we could literally stand right in front of the stage, no barriers or security with a gap. It was an awesome crowd, and even the some of the artists came into the crowd. Even though it's not the smallest space, that made it feel more intimate and it was a fun experience. The sound was amazing all around too. I haven't been to many concert venues in NYC, but I have no complaints about this one really, though the drink's presentation was a bit of a letdown for me. Such a cool venue! Live music, drinks, and bowling!?! This place is super cool, from the intimate feel of the stage to the crowd to the vintage feel of the bowling alley it really feels like a hidden gem with some major acts gracing the stage. The drink prices are surprisingly reasonable and the staff were incredible. This is not your typical music venue and worth a trip out there to go check it out no matter who's playing! read more

Brooklyn Bowl is not just a bowling alley. They have concerts as well. I had never been to a concert here before this past weekend. I have bowled here a few times though. They have a big open space when you walk in that has couches and seats and where you check in for bowling/ coat check. And then in the back is where there are a few bowling alleys and they have each two big couches and tables to enjoy your food and drinks at while you bowl. The food here is nothing special and the drinks are also nothing special. They do have a good variety of beers. I had a NA mocktail lavender lemonade and wow it was super sweet I took like 4 sips and could not have the rest. When I gave it back and told bartender I was done he said it before I did.. Too sweet? So maybe others have said this too. It is a fun spot to have a party or go out with friends. read more

Do More. Do You. I really love street art. So much fun to wander through Williamsburg and discover fun murals painted along the faces and walls of the brick buildings. Didn't go into Brooklyn Bowl as it was closed on an early Sunday morning, but so happy to stumble across their fun images. An astronaut. A floating dog. A bowling trophy. A kayak. A trombone. A ping pong (or table tennis) paddle. A spatula. A rolling pin. A cut avocado. A sunflower. So random. So imaginative. So much fun. Like an oversized version of I Spy. We were very disappointed because we do eat ketchup or mustard, which were the only condiments that were available. We only have barbeque sauce or A1. Came Saturday night for a show with a bunch of friends and we wanted to have dinner. We got a hummus platter, 12 piece mixed chicken basket, red beans and rice, coleslaw, french fries, collard greens. The chicken although good was not a true 12 piece as they had some wings that were so small we thought it was a piece of chicken that broke off from another piece. It was good but not as good as their other locations. The sides were good and maybe shareable with one other person. read more

Always fun catching a show here! It's a relatively small venue (attached to a bowling alley), but despite that, the dance floor has never been too packed when I go. Drinks are expectedly expensive. Sound quality pretty good. The staff were all friendly too. Overall positive experience, and always happy when an artist I like performs there. read more

Brooklyn bowl is a blast and such a unique venue in Williamsburg. First of all, walking in feels like you are in a giant warehouse because you are! The walking into Brooklyn bowl experience was easy and quick. I was asked for my ID for my wristband because it is also a venue for under 21. I received my wristband and my stamp, my tiny purse was checked and then my ticket was scanned. After this short and painless process you can check in your coat by the coat check area and they also have a merchandise area for the artist singing that night for sale right next to the bar. This venue is enormous, the bathrooms are upstairs, there's a common lounge area by the entrance and then you see all the bowling lanes to the right when you walk in. The concert stage is off to the left of the bowling lanes. While waiting for the concert to start they are playing similar artist's music while we wait for the opening act to begin their set to set an ambiance. The concert stage has great sound quality considering that there is sometimes background noise from the bowling to the right of the stage. I came here to see Katherine Li, Mxmtoon, and Scary pockets. I have been here twice now and I would come back for more concerts or even bowling. The two times I came into this venue has been for concerts but I do like bowling and would be open to coming here for a fun time hopefully getting strikes and spares. I haven't tried their food, but I would be interested in trying out their food. I have ordered a beer from the bar and it was quick service. They also have free water available on the side of the bar. Their women's bathroom is spacious with plenty of stools and seating in the lounge area. I would definitely recommend coming to Brooklyn bowl for some fun bowling with friends, date, or even coworkers and of course to check out a concert at their stage. 10/10 recommendation read more

We brought our 4-year-old to Brooklyn Bowl for Family Bowl Day on 2/23/26 and left with one hour of bowling after nearly two hours of being misled and managed poorly by staff. Writing this specifically for families, especially those traveling from outside the neighborhood with young kids like we did, with limited weekend time to waste. We arrived at 12:15/12:20 pm, just after Family Bowl started at noon. We missed an available lane by minutes and were placed on the waitlist, which was no biggie. Before deciding to stay, I asked the front desk attendant for some clarifying info - asking directly if she knew how long the wait would be and whether their 2-hour lane limit, posted in large print at the check-in desk, was being enforced. Questions that would inform our decision on whether to wait or not. She confirmed some lanes taken by walk-ins were being used for only 30-60 minutes and told us walk-ins to wait for a text to return to check-in. Great - my family and others made decisions based on that information. Some went to nearby restaurants for brunch, decided to drive around a bit and take in Williamsburg until they were summoned back. Some ate at the in-house restaurant. We decided to wait since we were #2 on the waitlist and hung out in the waiting area with our son. It's a very lively space, lots of movement, good music and cool decor. But then ...an hour after our initial check-in, we were informed that multiple pre-made reservations would supersede the entire walk-in waitlist, several lanes were out of order, and the facility was closing early. All of this was known at 12:30 when we checked in. None of it was shared with us or any other walk-ins. When I raised this, the front desk attendant became defensive. After speaking with two additional staff members about the lack of transparency, I stepped outside with my family to figure out our next steps and received a text that we had been removed from the waitlist entirely with no explanation. I also flagged to staff that a group of young teenagers outside, also walk-ins, had no idea about the reservation situation. Staff moved them to the top of the waitlist ahead of my family, who had been waiting longer. I have no issue with teens getting a lane. The situation itself was the problem. We were eventually offered one hour on a lane, with the caveat that a pre-made reservation was incoming to occupy the same lane. At the 1 hour 5 minute mark, staff approached us and we were asked to wrap up. As a small business owner, I understand decisions that make sense on paper but play out poorly in practice. But why advertise Family Bowl Day if only 4-5 families will actually bowl while dozens sit on a waitlist indefinitely? When we left, over 20 parties were still on the waitlist with 3 hours of business remaining before early closure. That is not a family event - that's a useless waitlist; a nightmare for folks with children. Families considering Brooklyn Bowl for Family Bowl Day should know: reservations take full priority, capacity may be limited, and the facility may close early since they run adult only event in the evenings. Staff WILL NOT volunteer this information. You will likely find out only after you have already waited. It's a weird "IFKYK" situation that no one has time for. On the plus side - the food servers and waiter on the lane were great. Our lane malfunctioned and wouldn't return the ball - the lane tech was great too, was quick in rectifying which was appreciated since we were being timed pretty closely. Everyone works so hard for weekends with our kids, right ... who wants to literally argue their way onto a bowling lane on a Saturday afternoon? Our time and money will go elsewhere, and we will be sharing our experience with our circles. read more

I've been to Brookly Bowl a few times over the years. Always for concerts, never for the bowling experience. Its a nice place to see a show. The concert is usually loud enough to drown out the noise of the balls knocking the pins down. We usually like to get some eats before the show. The menu has gone down significantly over the last few years. Used to have better variety and more to choose from. No more poke bowl. I was sad to see that option no more. Was there this past Wednesday to see guitar virtuoso Matteo Mancuso. I decided to have the chicken strips for $12. What a mistake that was. Didn't come with a side. Just 3 incredibly SMALL and sad chicken fingers. Lame. It was like a kids meal, but worse. Did they taste good? They were Blue Ribbon chicken strips so I expected something top notch, but it was just not it! Drinks were good. I doubt I'll eat here again before a show. $90 for 3 drinks, tiny chicken fingers and 1 small French bread pizza (that one was pretty good)?? No thanks! When going here, just come for the concert. Big area on the floor in front of the stage. The lanes are to the right of the stage and the bar with t.v.'s is towards the back. No barricades and it's easy to get a spot in front of the stage. The sound is great and everything in that area always runs smoothly. Bathrooms are upstairs. The women's bathroom is huge with a nice lounge area before you go in. Dark but clean. I'm sure I'll be back for another show again. I'll just come for the show and that's it. If you get to the show early, they have a lounge like area before the bar to chill at. Just do that instead of wasting your money on the sad restaurant part. I'll possibly come back to try the bowling. One of my favorite places to go in Brooklyn. I've been here about 4-5 times now and have always enjoyed my time here. I highly recommend checking their website ahead of time and seeing what's going on, as bowling lanes tend to be first come first serve. You can always join the waitlist and hang out at the bar or on the dance floor while you wait. Once you get a lane, you can order drinks and food to your section. Everything here is very classic bar and bowling alley food, but so delicious and hot. The nachos here are some of my favorite. Shows here are really a unique experience, especially if you get to enjoy one while bowling at the same time. The dance floor can also get packed, depending on who's playing. Lots of cool cover bands and shows come here and they have a variety of family friendly events as well. Upstairs is surprisingly cool as well and where the restrooms are. Brooklyn bowl offers an interesting dichotomy. On one side of a large open space you have a bowling alley. Right behind that you have a bar. And to the left of it you have a large stage for live events. From the outside is very unassuming. Once indoors it's like a whole another world. Definitely a full-sized bowling alley. A lot of fun and a lot of young energy. It was really cool to watch a live show with performers while people bowled in your peripheral vision. Every once in awhile when the music stopped I would hear the ball hitting the wood floor and then the pins being struck. I don't drink, however I always like to buy food when I go to an establishment to help keep them in business. I ordered a chicken sandwich and french fries. Honestly the chicken sandwich didn't taste that flavorful. Wasn't well seasoned. The fries were very thin fries. Overall not my favorite meal from an establishment. Had tickets for HANABIE Saturday, March 14, 2026. Band canceled their appearance while we were outside. (They did a meet and greet.) Tried to get a refund from Ticketmaster as I only wanted to see Hanabie all the way from Japan. Apparently the venue had the two opening acts perform, so despite the headliner not performing, the show was technically not canceled. No refund. I hope Yukina's (Hanabie's singer) throat is better as I see they also canceled the next night, but it was pretty lame of this venue to screw over patrons who specifically came to see the headliner and cannot get a refund or were never offered the option. read more

More than half of the place is VIP. The whole bowling alley and all the couches chairs and tables. A bar right by the entrance. Empty seats guarded by a bouncer. Can I just get something from the bar? No You can't. Two bartenders for everyone else. Angry bartenders. The WiFi is slow so it takes a while to figure out what you owe. They don't take cash so you have to wait. After the show starts, forget about getting a beer or water. You can't fill a glass of water in the bathroom!! It's a motion detector sink and they need to change the batteries. And the show is way too loud. Usually a pair of swimmers ear wax is enough for me but not here. No water anywhere. The venue gets five stars for vibe, decor, the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff, but the food is overpriced and a major disappointment. Years ago, I went to BB for a meal and it was sublime. My friend suggested that I try the burger, and it was beyond what I expected. It was juicy and flavorful... it had that YUM factor and was well worth the price tag. A few weeks ago, I was there for a show and was excited to eat there, only to be greatly disappointed. BLAND!!!!!! I ordered and paid extra for blue cheese crumbles and grilled onions and absolutely did not get my monies worth. I was not in a mood to make a formal complaint because I wanted to enjoy the show and have my guy enjoy his night as well. He ordered a pricey chicken sandwich, which was supposed to be a special. He was pissed and only ate a few bites of the sandwich. He stated that he thought that they would have been respectable enough to use a chicken breast. We arrived here at 8pm and the band didn't start playing until 8:30pm. The cover charge was $17. If you know the band isn't that popular, I recommend buying the tickets there. I live close to the Philadelphia location and go all the time, so I was excited to check out the original Brooklyn location. Great area, fun space with 2bars. The price to bowl was double the price in Philly. The bowling shoes need to be replaced. Very damaged! Also, no pool tables, arcade games, air hockey, etc. like the Philly location. Went to see the Hanabie concert here. We drove 2 and a half hours to get there. The band unfortunately couldn't play because the singer had a sore throat which was understandable. They at least came out to tell everyone how sorry they were and still did the VIP meet and greet. My problem was this venue. Instead of being told there was an issue and at least letting us go in to buy merch, use the restroom or buy a drink and wait in line, we were left outside. We were in freezing cold for many hours without any clue. Then inside we were rushed away from the merch to wait in a VIP line that wasn't ready. Staff didn't even organize the line correctly. We were near the front, but they let others walk over and cut in line so it was a mess. No one knew where to go. On top of this, general admission was let in, allowed to buy merch, and stand directly in front of the stage while we were still in line. GA was $40. VIP paid $150 plus the $40 ticket. A few staff members didn't help or were annoyed to. Finally GA got moved back (once people were yelling) so VIP could finish meeting the band and get into the pit. THEN staff didn't let anyone out of the pit to buy merch or even use a restroom. So, we were stuck waiting longer until Hanabie announced they couldn't play. People left but we stayed since the other bands were going to give us a show at least. During the first song my friend went to buy us merch since we couldn't even buy any. It sold out. The staff was told VIP was "all set" so they let GA buy it. The girl at the booth said she wanted to save some for VIP just in case because she was confused, but they told her no. So we missed out on the jersey we drove almost 3 hours for, and we've been fans forever. On top of this, this show was my niece's Christmas present so that really bothered me. I don't blame the band, as one staff member told me it was their fault. I blame this venue for not knowing how to take care of their customers. Don't leave people in the cold for hours, don't give people attitude when asking for help, and get organized. Learn how to communicate. Do better. read more

As a bowling enthusiast I was very excited to visit this place as I have heard so much about it. Pros and cons. It's a very nice space but under the hood there are a few things to note. The cocktail drinks are overpriced and not that good. I had the coconut bay breeze which was most juice with maybe a shot of alcohol for $16. The couch seats fit the decor but they are not comfortable at all. You're better off standing. Now the billing. You get one big bill which includes your cost of the game, shoes, and any food or drinks you may have had. Unless you pay attention you could be tipping on the total amount which isn't right. You'll have to manually calculate that on your own. The servers are standing right behind you as you bowl which is a little weird. We felt like we are being watched. The bad was playing music which was cool but for our first time we caught a set where they were practicing and the sound was really loud and annoying. The prices were decent compared to other places in the city so I'll probably be back. read more

Came here for a concert and wasn't quite sure of the set up based on the online pics. So...you have the stage, concert area to the back of the building/street side when you walk in. There is standing room only, and if you want a good spot, get there early. This pic below is from like 7:10 pm with a 7:30 show time. But the main act, it was packed, and I was almost pushed to the stage...so get there early. Not to mention if you're short...gotta be close to improve your sightline. The music and sound was amazing! Standing so close to the stage you could feel the bass. Only downside was if you needed to go to the restroom, you are SOL trying to get back to your spot. We immediately closed into open space...so you move, you lose. Show finished around 10:30pm and there was another late show?!?! So crazy. Getting a lyft/uber home was easy...train getting there was fine...back at night wasn't my cup of tea. :) read more

Came to bowl for a team event and the live music on a Wednesday night. We made reservations at 6pm but didn't know that in order to have the full table next to our lane, you need to book 2 lanes as the table is in between. Honestly the website doesn't warn about this and we weren't told at the reservation desk so we booked one lane for 8 people. After starting bowling and ordering a full table of food we were then told that we would have to share the table with another group which in our state was incredibly awkward as we had covered the table in food we ordered. At that point we weren't able to book the other lane as well and the entire set up is terrible for larger parities and we really should have been told we should have booked the other lane as well. Moving on to the food - we ordered salads, ribs, wings, and fried chicken to share. Honestly everything was pretty below average with the ribs and wings having the same overly sweet sauce and the chicken was crunchy but had no seasoning and we even thought it lacked salt. I would recommend not eating here if possible. The live band was fun but the service and food were just terrible. I would not recommend coming with a larger group. Also do be warned that the sound system is very loud when there's a band and it's difficult to talk with your group with the music on. read more

I visited Brooklyn Bowl on a date and we had a pretty good time. The service was great. The cashier and our waitress was really nice and super helpful. Of course I forgot to bring socks but I'm happy they had some available to purchase. There was a bit of a wait to bowl but by the time we ordered food at the table, our lane was available. We were able to start the game and bowl for about 2 rounds which is when our food came. The food was delicious!! And I was so happy because I was starving lol I ordered the special of the day which was blackened catfish that came with mash potatoes and collard greens. My date ordered something light (calamari) because he ate beforehand. I ended up eating his food too! Our bowling experience was also pleasant. The couches were comfortable, the venue was very clean. There was even a hand sanitizing station under the keypad which blew my mind! The only critique I would say is the music was not hitting the way I would have hoped. While I've been to the Brooklyn Bowl a number of times over the years it's not until a couple of months ago that I've made my return after several years not visiting the cool event space. Now I should stress that I'm not actually a bowler but have instead visited the Brooklyn Bowl for concerts and special events like Guitar Shows and the like. As an event space its pretty awesome with a decent sized stage in front of a very nice capacity floor area. There are no seats the concert space and I guess if you want to be close to the performer that you must get there on the early side. In the times that I've attended the shows here I can tell you that bowling continues on the opposite side of the shows but it doesn't seem to affect a show based on the loudness of instruments over the crashing of the pins. The stage is easy to see from way in the back by the bar if you should choose to hang over there and I found the sound and lighting to be on point. The cost for entry is depending on the artist being showcased and while some shows could be as low as $20 there are others that can be much higher. There are two large bars with one at the entrance and one by the concert section and there is also a Blue Ribbon restaurant with awesome eats. It's priced accordingly since inflation and stuff is just really expensive these days but its all very well prepared and I think you might like it. I should mention that these are fully stocked bars and not just beer and wine etc. You can get a number of different spirits and while its been quite a time since I've drank, I did love the beer selection at Brooklyn Bowl when I had them. Oddly enough I have not managed to bowl here yet and perhaps I should make that a 2024 mission to do. I'm very rusty and would need a pair of shoes for it since I don't like renting such things, especially after a pandemic but that's just me. I highly recommend this place for a good time spot for you and gathered friends. Check it out. read more

I went to Brooklyn Bowl (to bowl) last week and had a great time. I am an absolutely horrendous bowler but it was still tons of fun. Drinks seem very pricey, even the beer but I guess they're also an event venue so that makes sense. The employees were helpful and nice and the price to bowl isn't bad. You pay by lane per half hour so it can be cost-effective if you have the right number of people. Keep in mind, they have ticketed events so sometimes you have to pay to get in the door (even if you're just there to bowl). I'm sure I'll be back for a concert soon! read more

Excellent Place for fun and family time. My brother asked me to meet him here with his friends. I am glad, I made the effort to stop painting and get out of my place. With all the great reviews, what else can I say?... Excellent fun spot, Live Music, Great Drinks, Excellent service by the waitresses ( very pleasant and welcoming) And finally, the FRIED CHICKEN!!! Rock.And.Roll with some great food! Visited Brooklyn for some beers and ended up at Brooklyn Bowl on a Saturday night for the tribute show to Bruce Springsteen. We glanced through the menu while waiting for the show to start, and thought the food really looked and hell yes it was delicious! We ordered the Blackened Atlantic salmon which was so yummy! It came with red beans and rice and a dollop of amazing fresh herb Mayo! I'd go back for this! We also got the Joe Russo's Almost Burger with meatless patty that came with a good amount of American cheese, grilled onions and fries.
