Brooklyn Bowl is not just a bowling alley. They have concerts as well. I had never been to a concert here before this past weekend. I have bowled here a few times though. They have a big open space when you walk in that has couches and seats and where you check in for bowling/ coat check. And then in the back is where there are a few bowling alleys and they have each two big couches and tables to enjoy your food and drinks at while you bowl. The food here is nothing special and the drinks are also nothing special. They do have a good variety of beers. I had a NA mocktail lavender lemonade and wow it was super sweet I took like 4 sips and could not have the rest. When I gave it back and told bartender I was done he said it before I did.. Too sweet? So maybe others have said this too. It is a fun spot to have a party or go out with friends.

Do More. Do You. I really love street art. So much fun to wander through Williamsburg and discover fun murals painted along the faces and walls of the brick buildings. Didn't go into Brooklyn Bowl as it was closed on an early Sunday morning, but so happy to stumble across their fun images. An astronaut. A floating dog. A bowling trophy. A kayak. A trombone. A ping pong (or table tennis) paddle. A spatula. A rolling pin. A cut avocado. A sunflower. So random. So imaginative. So much fun. Like an oversized version of I Spy. Definitely worth a quick stop if you are in the neighborhood. Maybe next time, it will be open and I can check out if the inside is as entertaining as what is on the outdoor walls.

For my birthday I went to Brooklyn Bowl to see a show and have dinner with my family. We all ordered burgers. We were very disappointed because we do eat ketchup or mustard, which were the only condiments that were available. We only have barbeque sauce or A1. We were very saddened that our dry burgers were not offered with sauce. I don't think we will be back because this is very disappointing

Came Saturday night for a show with a bunch of friends and we wanted to have dinner. We got a hummus platter, 12 piece mixed chicken basket, red beans and rice, coleslaw, french fries, collard greens. The chicken although good was not a true 12 piece as they had some wings that were so small we thought it was a piece of chicken that broke off from another piece. It was good but not as good as their other locations. The sides were good and maybe shareable with one other person.

Brooklyn bowl is a blast and such a unique venue in Williamsburg. First of all, walking in feels like you are in a giant warehouse because you are! The walking into Brooklyn bowl experience was easy and quick. I was asked for my ID for my wristband because it is also a venue for under 21. I received my wristband and my stamp, my tiny purse was checked and then my ticket was scanned. After this short and painless process you can check in your coat by the coat check area and they also have a merchandise area for the artist singing that night for sale right next to the bar. This venue is enormous, the bathrooms are upstairs, there's a common lounge area by the entrance and then you see all the bowling lanes to the right when you walk in. The concert stage is off to the left of the bowling lanes. While waiting for the concert to start they are playing similar artist's music while we wait for the opening act to begin their set to set an ambiance. The concert stage has great sound quality considering that there is sometimes background noise from the bowling to the right of the stage. I came here to see Katherine Li, Mxmtoon, and Scary pockets. I have been here twice now and I would come back for more concerts or even bowling. The two times I came into this venue has been for concerts but I do like bowling and would be open to coming here for a fun time hopefully getting strikes and spares. I haven't tried their food, but I would be interested in trying out their food. I have ordered a beer from the bar and it was quick service. They also have free water available on the side of the bar. Their women's bathroom is spacious with plenty of stools and seating in the lounge area. I would definitely recommend coming to Brooklyn bowl for some fun bowling with friends, date, or even coworkers and of course to check out a concert at their stage. 10/10 recommendation

From the band... they CANCELED. (Hope she feels better!)

Had tickets for HANABIE Saturday, March 14, 2026. Band canceled their appearance while we were outside. (They did a meet and greet.) Tried to get a refund from Ticketmaster as I only wanted to see Hanabie all the way from Japan. Apparently the venue had the two opening acts perform, so despite the headliner not performing, the show was technically not canceled. No refund. I hope Yukina's (Hanabie's singer) throat is better as I see they also canceled the next night, but it was pretty lame of this venue to screw over patrons who specifically came to see the headliner and cannot get a refund or were never offered the option.

Love love love Bowling plus kid music events on Sundays! A perfect mix of things plus add on food and drinks. Always love popping in here for a good time. Whether it's with my hubby to see a band or with the kids, I definitely recommend. Great neighborhood, good food and fun times are always had

I've been to Brookly Bowl a few times over the years. Always for concerts, never for the bowling experience. Its a nice place to see a show. The concert is usually loud enough to drown out the noise of the balls knocking the pins down. We usually like to get some eats before the show. The menu has gone down significantly over the last few years. Used to have better variety and more to choose from. No more poke bowl. I was sad to see that option no more. Was there this past Wednesday to see guitar virtuoso Matteo Mancuso. I decided to have the chicken strips for $12. What a mistake that was. Didn't come with a side. Just 3 incredibly SMALL and sad chicken fingers. Lame. It was like a kids meal, but worse. Did they taste good? They were Blue Ribbon chicken strips so I expected something top notch, but it was just not it! Drinks were good. I doubt I'll eat here again before a show. $90 for 3 drinks, tiny chicken fingers and 1 small French bread pizza (that one was pretty good)?? No thanks! When going here, just come for the concert. Big area on the floor in front of the stage. The lanes are to the right of the stage and the bar with t.v.'s is towards the back. No barricades and it's easy to get a spot in front of the stage. The sound is great and everything in that area always runs smoothly. Bathrooms are upstairs. The women's bathroom is huge with a nice lounge area before you go in. Dark but clean. I'm sure I'll be back for another show again. I'll just come for the show and that's it. If you get to the show early, they have a lounge like area before the bar to chill at. Just do that instead of wasting your money on the sad restaurant part. I'll possibly come back to try the bowling. The lanes are shiny and look new and the leather couch seating looks cozy.

Brooklyn bowl offers an interesting dichotomy. On one side of a large open space you have a bowling alley. Right behind that you have a bar. And to the left of it you have a large stage for live events. From the outside is very unassuming. Once indoors it's like a whole another world. Definitely a full-sized bowling alley. A lot of fun and a lot of young energy. It was really cool to watch a live show with performers while people bowled in your peripheral vision. Every once in awhile when the music stopped I would hear the ball hitting the wood floor and then the pins being struck. I don't drink, however I always like to buy food when I go to an establishment to help keep them in business. I ordered a chicken sandwich and french fries. Honestly the chicken sandwich didn't taste that flavorful. Wasn't well seasoned. The fries were very thin fries. Overall not my favorite meal from an establishment. It's probably good fair when it comes to bar food. This isn't a restaurant. Overall my experience was good. I enjoyed the live entertainment. The bowling alley was really cool and the atmosphere was nice

This is such an interesting venue. Amazing concerts on one side, bowling on the other. Crazy as it seems, you don't hear the bowling pins falling as the concert plays. The acoustics are great and there is plenty of room to move around. Standing room only. No seats. Bathrooms are clean and staff friendly. With a restaurant and bars, it's a nice place to spend an evening. Plenty of parking on the street so don't bother with a parking lot. Come and enjoy.

I've been here for a couple of concerts the staff are excellent and chill. I love the fact that thee is water readily available at the bar. The space is wide open and right beside the lanes. But the star is the chicken!!! Blue ribbon chicken to be exact. We ordered the 8 piece dark and whoa!!! It's made to order so it took awhile but it was worth it also comes with a side of honey.

The venue gets five stars for vibe, decor, the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff, but the food is overpriced and a major disappointment. Years ago, I went to BB for a meal and it was sublime. My friend suggested that I try the burger, and it was beyond what I expected. It was juicy and flavorful... it had that YUM factor and was well worth the price tag. A few weeks ago, I was there for a show and was excited to eat there, only to be greatly disappointed. BLAND!!!!!! I ordered and paid extra for blue cheese crumbles and grilled onions and absolutely did not get my monies worth. I was not in a mood to make a formal complaint because I wanted to enjoy the show and have my guy enjoy his night as well. He ordered a pricey chicken sandwich, which was supposed to be a special. He was pissed and only ate a few bites of the sandwich. He stated that he thought that they would have been respectable enough to use a chicken breast. The first thing he bit into was cartilage and that ruined the meal for him. I know better next time, if I happen to go to a show or bowling that I should get food before or after. I hate this, because I like this place.

Us stuck in the pit waiting because staff wouldn't let us leave.

    Do you have a coatcheck?

    Yes, we do!

Saturday, 2/19, we are a group of 11-15 adults, wants to reserve lanes with tickets show and food served, can you tell more how to organize this event? Are unvaccinated individuals ok?

Hey Janet, please email events@brooklynbowl.com for assistance. In accordance with NYC's vaccine mandate, all guests must provide proof of full vaccination to enter the venue.

On Saturday, 2/12 there is a music event. Can we bowl during the music event or is it closed for bowling that night?

We will be open for bowling that night, though you will need to purchase a ticket to enter the venue.

I am hoping to come to the Family Bowl event on 2/17 (Presidents day) between 12-6 PM with my kids . We are going to be a big group of about 6-8 adults and 5 kids. Do you know if we can reserve lanes?

The stage isn't high at all.

How's this place on a Friday night?

Hello Leggo. It's usually pretty packed on Friday's and they tend to have some sort of event going on, so call ahead or check out their event calendar as there's a fee when an event is happening. Hope this helps.

Is there usually a long wait for lanes on Saturday afternoons?

Yes there is the weekends are when they are the busiest mommy friend and I went on a Saturday around 7 and the wait was crazy to get a lane

Is there any available concert seating or is it all standing room?

It depends on the night. We have a restaurant with seating and if you rent a bowling lane, you will also have access to seating. On weekend nights, we're typically standing room only on our GA floor. If you are disabled or in need of seating for… Read more

Is there usually a wait for lanes on a Sunday? If so, about how long?

U would suggest calling to get an update on events , you can also check their site.

    Yeah they're pretty strict now.

Do you have to be 21 and over if all you wanna do is bowl?

    mprcòy

Would this place be appropriate to bring 3 kids (7,11 and 13) to to bowl tonight, if we come right at 6?

It's pretty much a bar that has bowling. I've seen kids there on the weekends though it was much earlier time (3 pm). I believe it's at your own discretion. General crowd is tame though.

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

I got lucky one night when there was no line & my girlfriend and I got a seat. To start off, the ambiance is rock solid, they got the classic old school American/ New York look. Beautiful lights, a sky line art work, comfy leather seats, and you can scribble on the table I love it. It's a very small menu, we ordered their burger, clams, wedge salad and Sunday. All of the items were fine, I personally didn't like the clams, I felt they were too dry, the burger was good but nothing you can't get anywhere else. The salad and Sunday weren't worth it. However, what was very disappointing, I believe they cook using cheap oils, because after our meal, my girlfriend & I just felt really bad in our stomach. I really wish this place well and hope they last, but the hype is way too high and I think they need to switch the oil and quality of their ingredients.

The beef was tender and gravy like underneath, not too salty) Desserts: - Tokyo Banana Sundae (well made and delicious if you like banana) - Sticky Toffee Pudding (the toffee sauce is yummy and soaked into the pudding nicely!) Would definitely come again to try other menu items! I'm a fan!

I got a Brazhoot of Happiness panini (the smaller option), and it was amazing. So much mozzarella, so much prosciutto, and the vinegar peppers balanced the taste so nicely. A little crunch, a little chewiness, some sour from the vinegar, and a lot of salt...what a combo. I also got an iced coffee drink, it was espresso poured over a coffee slush. Different phases of coffee and all of them were delicious. They make a mean espresso here, for real. Fantastic spot for great Italian deli food, definitely worth a visit!

Sabino was working the register and was incredibly friendly. Although I wanted to eat my sfogliatella later, he gave it to me first. It my first time ever having one and it was freaking delicious. It was warm and flaky with the perfect amount of pistachio filling. I def savored each bite and contemplated getting another one but ultimately decided not to. My salad came out shortly after and was better than I expected. The croutons were ginormous but also seasoned and worth each bite. The salad was tangy and had plenty of shredded Parmesan, which I loved! I got a chance to talk with Sabino a bit before he left. Because he had difficulty on the register, he gave me some later cookies which I thought was an incredibly nice gesture. I more than enjoyed my visit and already can't wait to come back! Things to note: it's pretty small inside so plan on either standing or getting it to go as there's only 3-4 stools to sit on.

Between the three of us, we ordered the borscht soup, Polish appetizer sampler, pork schnitzel, duck pierogies, and lastly a cheesecake to finish the night. I was stuffed mid-dinner but somehow the roasted potatoes kept luring me back in. Borscht soup (with mushroom dumplings) was nice and hot, great to settle my stomach that was feeling a bit off earlier in the day. Polish appetizer sampler is lovely to try a bit of everything. I really enjoyed the cabbage wrap. Duck pierogies was a first for me. Good portion sized, savory and not light on the meat. Pork schnitzel was nicely breaded, crispy and thin. The roasted potatoes on the side was so well-seasoned, no additional add-ons necessary. Cheesecake was decent, and the server delighted us with three little candles on top to celebrate. Unbeknownst to us, there's music on Friday evenings! Great mood uplifter. It was pleasant to have a guitarist playing live music, while we munch away.

I tried two of their popular dishes, the Moroccan scramble and ricotta pancakes, and while they were beautifully presented, they fell flat taste wise. I had to rely on hot sauce and pancake syrup to get through them. I finished my meal only because I hate wasting food; otherwise, it would have been left untouched. The space itself is very cozy, borderline uncomfortable. Seating is extremely tight, to the point where you're practically pressed up against strangers. If you're not okay with close quarters (and close scents), this might not be for you. It's a small place with bar seating and some outdoor tables, and when we came around 10:30am on a weekend, it was already packed. Expect a possible wait and a waitlist. Service was just okay, no real check ins and more of a quick, transactional feel, almost diner like. Overall, this place did not match what I envisioned. With so many great options in Brooklyn, I'd personally skip this one and try somewhere else.

First & foremost, the interior of the restaurant itself is really nice. Second, all of the employees here were absolutely lovely including the waitress Francesca & the bartender HK. It was actually his second day there & you honestly couldn't tell at all- he was quite knowledgeable & helpful. Third, the food, drinks, & dessert were all fantastic- so five stars all around! I ordered the Formula One drink to start. It was strong & sweet without being overbearing. For dinner, I ordered the miso brussels & croquetas. Both were fantastic, especially the black truffle manchego croquetas. Believe in the hype- they're absolutely fantastic! Now, there is always room for dessert, & of course I got the soufflé. I don't know if the flavors for the soufflé rotate but I got a 70% dark chocolate soufflé with a fantastic ganache to match it. On top of that, I believe Francesca had also poured a caramel sauce (not 100% sure) & a scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it off. It was absolutely fantastic & a real treat. All in all, I'd definitely be back at Madre & look forward to trying more of their appetizers & entrees.
