Decaf vanilla latte with almond milk

I've been coming here for years and even when I moved out of state. I still make sure I stop by for treats. The owner Khamla is such a sweetheart!! By some miracle, she remembers me and always ask about my mom. This bakery is the best place to get an almond croissant. I've tried them other place, even internationally and nothing can touch hers (just make sure you pre-order any of the stuffed croissants). She puts some much love into her baking and it shows with every bite. The shop is quaint and charming with seating. And when you walk in the door, the display case will take your breath away. Definitely stop by for the best baked goods in Connecticut!!

The strawberry pastry is my favorite!

So delicious! Pastries and breakfast sandwiches, service, decor - you can't beat BouNom.

Khamla and her warm, friendly staff really know how to make you feel special. From the moment you walk in the door, to when you are choosing from a selection of the most delicious pastries you've ever had, to being rung up at the register - you feel like you're walking into a friend's home and they are ready to take care of you. There are a handful of third spaces and bakery/cafes where my partner and I are regulars, and BouNom is at the top of that list. We can't seem to stay away. Khamla is not only generous with her patrons, but with the community at large. Her space is inclusive, welcoming, and so easy to feel like you can be yourself. It is no wonder that she is a crowd favorite in this region! Our faves : bacon egg in a hole, blueberry petite bites, blueberry maple pound cake, cheddar chive biscuits - honestly anything you order will be no doubt delicious!

This is such a cute bakery. The owner of the bakery was at the register and she was so incredibly kind and had such positive energy! We went on Valentine's Day and they were sold out of many items. I was able to pick up a BouNom roll and loved it - I warmed it up a bit after getting home and it was delightful!

BouNom Cafe & Bakery has been on my foodie bucket list for a while and finally checked it off my list! It is worth the hike and I highly recommend visiting early to have the best selection of items because they will sell out. They specialize in French and Southern-inspired bakery items. We visited on a Sunday morning, the crowd was steady, but we got through the line quickly and efficiently. There is a small seating area, decorated with blues, cute, cottage style-decor. We scored a table to eat a few of our treats and enjoy our tea and coffee. My mom and I got a variety of goodies from sweet to savory: Scallion Roll, Tomato Bacon Cheese Bite, Blueberry Petite Bite, Wildflower Honey Buttermilk Biscuit, Cinnamon Roll, Caramel Bun, and Latte Bun. For drinks, I got a Matcha Latte with Butterscotch and my mom got a Maple Cardamom Latte. The drinks were piping hot. The pastries and baked goods were phenomenal--where do I start? The Latte Bun was to die for that it had a lot of cocoa and espresso flavor like they grounded up chocolate-covered espresso beans. I anticipated the cinnamon roll to be really good. Shout out to Jason P. for the reco since I learned from his Instagram Reel that BouNom's Cinnamon Roll was on a list and named Connecticut's best cinnamon roll. This cinnamon roll was might just be CT's best... The bun was moist, cinnamon-y and sweet, but the real star for me was the icing. Not too sweet cream cheese icing with vanilla bean. It was SO good! It's surely a must try. Like most bakeries, there items will rotate with a few staples and the offerings maybe different during your visit. I loved my matcha latte because it was perfectly blended, had a lot of flavor, and not too sweet. My mom enjoyed here coffee and we liked that there was a variety of unique flavors like cardamom rose, maple cardamom, and seasonal flavors. All our goodies were packed up in the cutest take home box. They pay close attention to the smallest details. The prices are a bit steep, but the quality is worth it. It was a long drive for us and we indulged. Highly recommend giving them a try if you are in the area.

This place was so good! Some of the best pastries I've ever had. The owner and staff were so sweet and helpful! BouNom was so cozy and very cute inside. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely adorable cafe. Have been waiting a little to try this place as I heard a lot about here. Definitely go early as items will sell out ( they sold out when I was there!!) you can also preorder if you want something specific but I can see why the hype for this place is high. Absolutely delicious and a great addition to this area. The pastry was soo good and I can't wait to try more. I had lemon loaf cake and was too sweet with a coffee. Perfect little morning treat- strongly recommend

Took a little bakery hiatus but had to come back and try these new items, very delicious. Banana chocolate muffin {5/5}: Hands down one of my most memorable muffins I've had in awhile. Maybe I'm weird in that I love very moist and flavorful muffins and this was just that with plenty of bananas and chocolate throughout. Finished it before leaving the store....will have to buy multiple next time Sausage biscuits and gravy {4/5}: I'm not the biggest fan of biscuits and gravy, but this was I could get behind. Buttery golden biscuit that went really well with that sausage gravy. Scallion roll warmed {4.5/5}: if you love cheesy bread and scallions, you'll absolutely love this. London fog {4.5/5}: fragrant and sweet, great for a cold day

Egg in a hole, sticky bun, chocolate croissant, and cinnamon bun

The first time we tried to go there, everything was sold out, so they closed early. The second time, I made sure to order ahead prior to pick up. The place was so cute with a sit in area that had your typical cafe vibes. I was surprised there were items left when I went to pick up my order the next morning (Friday) at 11 am. Everything in the showcase looked mouthwatering. I admittedly plan to try everything haha. They sell French and southern inspired pastries. The story of their family immigrating from Laos to the US was similar to my family from Cambodia. It's inspiring to see them become successful! The prices were high but the products were quality; I think it's worth it. I ordered an iced chai latte to go as well; this drink was good. I'm looking forward to trying their hand crafted lemonades next time. The showstoppers were the pastries. I ordered the cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissant, Southern sticky pecan buns, and egg in a hole. The egg in the hole was amazing. I was only planning to take a bite since I already ate my lunch. I couldn't stop and ended up finishing it. It has egg, cheese, chives, and chopped ham/bacon in a croissant. The sticky pecan bun was buttery and sweet; the candied pecans had a sugary crunch to it; the most amazing sticky bun I've ever tasted. My husband had the cinnamon bun and said 10/10. Pro tip: put in microwave for 5-10 seconds, even better. In conclusion, I will be back sooner rather than later!

I came here since I went to get my car serviced at Hoffman in Simsbury and have been wanting to come since. I got to the bakery around 11:50 and majority of the baked goods were all sold out. Once everything is sold out they close. I ended up getting the banana chocolate chip muffin and some macrons. The banana chocolate chip muffin was really good. It evens had big slices of banana in it. Definitely different from places that sell banana chocolate chip muffins. Normally the banana will be all mashed up and incorporated into the batter. This one had a one up on all the banana chocolate chip muffins I ever had. It was sooooo good. The place had a cute and inviting vibe once you walk through the doors. I highly recommend this bakery even though majority of the stuff was all sold out. But that in itself tells you how good the place is. Definitely have to try and get there earlier. I want to see what it looks like when it first opens with all the baked goodies.

This is hands down the best cinnamon roll and cheddar bacon chive biscuit i have ever had!

My all time favorite was their Blackberry Mint Chai in the spring. I loved how unique it was and the flavors really worked! My dad really loved their grilled cheese sandwich. Their mission is imbued in their staff, products, how they set up their space, and how you order. We came here for breakfast on a weekday and had a lovely experience. They have breakfast and lunch cafe menus (+catering), yummy pastries (cookies, muffins and scones) and various coffees and drinks. We enjoyed the omelette (if you order more than 3 ingredients there's a charge) and the village breakfast which was eggs, potatoes (slightly blackened), sourdough toast (or wheat) and bacon. Prices are fairly standard ($11-14) and portions not very large. The panetonne, toasted coconut, and chocolate chip scones ($5 each) were all good and baked well. The honey latte and hot chocolate (most drinks are $4-8) were also very creamy and delicious, though slightly too sweet for our tastes (made it taste good though!) You order at the counter and then take a table and place a marker with nice words like "love" and then your food is brought to you. The actual space is very inviting, with lots of nooks and crannies (tables with chairs, couches, a fireplace). They also sell t-shirts ($30) and sweatshirts ($40-50?) which are pretty soft material, as well as ground coffee, cards, granola, etc. The other half of their space is their homemade pasta place so it's a unique layout and looked fun as well. There were plenty of customers cycling in and out, many sitting down with a warm drink and a pastry. Parking isn't huge but was not super super small but could be an issue if they got an influx of folks hanging out. Wouldn't blame them though because it's a comfortable place with free wifi. Looking forward to returning! Shopping like Whole Foods, walmart, and Shop Rite are all within a few miles.

Staff said everything is made from scratch and you can tell. The smoothie was so fresh and tasty. Grilled cheese was good! Overall great experience! :)

I'm pretty familiar Avon but Bela Vida is located away from all the other attractions, right next to a small fitness club. Bela Vida is such a beautiful space, there's positive words right outside the door. The beautiful plants all over the space made me want to stay. The natural materials made this place comfortable and relaxing. The menu of teas and protein shakes is the size of the whole wall. I decided to go with the Dirt Cake Lean & Fit Shake. I got mine in a medium size, which was a pretty generous size, and I realized I could have gone with a small. This was pretty chocolatey, but I could tell there was protein powder as the base. Well I knew what I was getting, so I wasn't so let down by the after taste. I will say this was my breakfast and lunch today. It was very filling and decently tasty. What I enjoyed a lot more than the shake it's self, is the space and the environment. It is a great space to be alone or with friends. I enjoyed reading parts of the book The Astrology of You and Me, they had on the little table. And the background music was a great counterpart. I plan to return here in the future and try something else.
