This spot came highly recommended by a friend to take advantage of their pool and I am so happy we did. We reserved a cabana for our group of 4 which including a carafe of sangria. The pool was the perfect temperature, the cabana allowed for the perfect amount of shade and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing pool day. We did offer a pizza and a couple beers to munch on and appreciated the kind service from our server Carsyn. This was the perfect girls day, but could also be a romantic pool day with a partner and a fun family day for the kiddos. Hope to be someday soon. read more

It's disappointing to be writing this review because we've genuinely looked forward to visiting the pool every year. We started coming in 2024 and became members in 2025. Last year, I would have happily given this experience five stars. Unfortunately, this year it's only one. Would have been a 3, but closing a pool by August 2nd drops it down to a one. The highlight of our visits has been the pool staff, especially Donavan and Quincy. Their friendliness and excellent customer service are the main reasons we continued coming back after our first visit this season. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere felt very different this year. Taking away so many lounge chairs to add four more cabanas, that no one ever rents, was a bad business decision. There were a couple days we wanted to go to the pool and have lunch but there were no chairs available. That never happened in 2025. As members, we paid all year to only have access to the pool for about two months (due to the early close), which doesn't feel like a great value. I also miss the member wine tastings that were previously offered at the pool. As a parent, those were a convenient way for me to enjoy one of the membership benefits and try the wines before ordering. Now putting in our orders is just a guessing game so I just pick the cheapest ones. Also, this year they started counting my daughter as a guest which took away my ability to include our friend who spent good money every time she went last year. As a business it just makes sense to not charge for kids and let us bring in more money for you by inviting another paying customer. A lot of changes this year definitely resulted in less money for the winery. This property has tremendous potential, and it's disappointing to see such a beautiful space underutilized. Given Southern California's climate, it seems like the pool could remain open for much more of the year. Adult evening swims, movie nights, and other special events could create additional value for members while encouraging more frequent visits. Even staying open on Mondays and Tuesdays in the summer adds two more days of revenue. I hope management takes another look at how this space is being used. Expanding the pool season and offering more events could benefit both members and the business, while also creating opportunities for more consistent staffing. I truly want to see this place succeed because it has so much potential and we do love it. Sadly this year was a let down. Unfortunately, looking forward to cancelling my membership next week. Also, there are event staffing companies that can get you bartenders and lifeguards by tomorrow if that is your only setback and reason you are closing early. read more

I'm super disappointed that you've chosen to turn off the comments on your Instagram post alerting members to the fact that the pool is closing significantly earlier this Summer then promised so I felt the need to post here because as a loyal member of your winery year after year my voice, our voices deserve to be heard and acknowledged. Turning off the comments thus deleting the multitude of not positive feedback about this decision does not change how the members and those with upcoming reservations feel. So, I was there yesterday, my usual Sunday reservation. (I come on Wednesday and Sundays weekly in the summer) and was told of the news! Can we say ABSOLUTELY DISHEARTENING!? I'm really upset because I'm a member for your pool. Truthfully there aren't enough wine club events or perks to keep a membership year round but I like many others have been a loyal member year after year because the pool is my daughter and I's "happy Summer place" this is really terrible management. How are you staffing? Its insane to me that I talk to people right here in Temecula who have absolutely no clue this place exists? Where's your marketing team? It would make way more sense to me to close for two weeks, have a pavement pounding hiring fair and then open back up until the end of September or at least Labor Day. Marketing is my specialty if you need help, I will help you. This pool is an amazing place, and I truly feel you aren't doing your do dillegence. People need jobs, college students are still here, there has to be a better way. I recently visited BOTTAIA Winery for the second time. My first time had been almost six years ago. We were taking my friend for a wine-tasting week-end for her birthday, and I remembered that it was a really beautiful place. So, we decided to begin the day there. BOTTAIA offers poolside seating for $40 per chaise. We considered spending the afternoon poolside and ordering wine throughout the afternoon, but instead, opted for the outdoor patio seating so that we could move on and check out other wineries later in the day. We arrived just prior to 11AM when the winery opens, and we were the first group to check in. For non-wine club members, we could not make reservations, but it wasn't crowded at all that day. We were seated readily on the patio. On our way to be seated, we walked through the gift shop which was really cute. We enjoyed our seating as it had a nice view of the hills and the vineyards. We studied the menu for a bit and finally decided on the dry sparkling rose'. It was very nice. I do think it would have been nicer to have a server rather than having to walk up to the bar to order. It is a fancy place so that would have been a nice touch. We found out that they do serve light food items on that patio and more lunch options in the small cafe below. Scrolling through IG and I came across Bottaia Winery. They have a pool you can use Wed-Sun 11:00am-6pm for $40.00 I made my reservation online or you can call. Upon arriving I immediately notice how nice and beautiful the surrounding space is. I checked in with hostess and walked to the chaise lounge chair. They provided me with 2 towels, iced water & menu. My host Quincy introduced himself and took my order. I ordered the kids chicken tenders and fries. My food didn't take that long to come out. My chicken tenders & fries were delicious. My host Quincy checked on me periodically to see if I needed anything and if he saw my water needed a refill he would immediately take care of that. Quincy is truly a gem and an asset to Bottaia Winery. The temperature of the pool water was perfect. My overall day was perfect. When I returned home I noticed I must've left my bathing suit either in the women's bathroom or on my lounge chair. I called the hostess at the pool and they found my bathing suit and put in the lost & found. Thank goodness they didn't throw my brand new bathing suit in the trash. I'll definitely be back and enjoy a peaceful day poolside. read more

Walk away to just get back in a long line to do it over and over is nonsense. There were two people pouring and then it was one. Really lacking in service and I would not return. Update (2026): I'm genuinely saddened that I have to update what was once one of my favorite reviews to write. Last year, I praised Bottaia because of the incredible people who made the pool such a special place. That wasn't an exaggeration. The staff created an experience that kept our family coming back week after week and was the primary reason we maintained our membership. Unfortunately, this season has been the complete opposite. The decision not to bring back Donovan, despite him continuing to work for the sister property, was incredibly disappointing. He was one of the biggest reasons so many families felt welcomed and cared for. Losing someone like that was a huge mistake. Management decisions this year have only made things worse. One manager treated both guests and staff with a level of disrespect that was impossible to ignore. While that manager was eventually let go, rather than promoting one of the outstanding leaders already on the team or bringing back previous management with a proven track record, Bottaia hired yet another outside manager. Sadly, the culture still doesn't feel the same, and it's difficult watching staff members who have been loyal for years not be treated with the respect they deserve. I want to make it very clear that this review is not directed at the long-time pool staff. They continue to work hard, remain friendly, and do everything they can despite the decisions being made above them. They deserve recognition because they're the ones trying to hold everything together. The final straw is the announcement that the pool will close on August 2 instead of remaining open into October as it has in previous years. Summer has barely begun, and the pool is the entire reason many of us pay for a membership. Removing the biggest membership benefit months early, especially after all the other disappointing decisions, feels like a slap in the face to loyal members. Instead of listening to the concerns of members and investing in what made this place successful, Bottaia seems to be moving further away from the experience that built such a loyal community. Our membership was never about the winery. It was about the pool and the incredible people we met there. Those people created something truly special, and it's heartbreaking to watch that culture slowly disappear because of poor leadership decisions. I sincerely hope Bottaia takes a hard look at the direction it's heading. The dedicated staff who have been there for years deserve better, and so do the members who have supported this place season after season. What happened?! I was really looking forward to summer so I could visit my "favorite" winery, but I'm incredibly disappointed. It seems inflation has hit everyone, but this was a shock--last year, upgrading to a cabin was $50, and this year it's $100! I would love to know whose bright idea it was to raise the price this high. Are they suffering from a lack of memberships and trying to make up for it this way? I drove over 48 miles for this, and an updated email beforehand would have been lovely. On a positive note, the customer service remains phenomenal. I was happy to see Quincy again--he's an absolute joy and provides such helpful, kind, and exceptional service. Honestly, that was the only good thing about my visit. I even asked if they were under new management because, once I paid to get in, everything seemed to go downhill. While the drinks were good, the food was not. They brought out 12 chips with about a tablespoon of guacamole and salsa--I actually asked if they had dropped the chips on the way over! It's wild that the food prices stayed the same as last year, but the quality has plummeted. I can't believe the excessive price hike just to sit by a pool with absolutely no perks. Paying $100 just to sit poolside and use a cabin to change into my swimsuit is not worth it. Last summer, I was a regular and came out at least six times, even bringing my coworkers I already told them not to bother. After today, I won't be back, so those extra visits I usually make definitely won't be happening. The quality has gone down they need the old manager back because whoever is running this place now needs some serious help. In our search for a new winery to join, we decided to check out BOTTAIA Winery this afternoon. The winery is beautiful, with a laidback, step up from causal vibe. There was a good saxophonist performing, and plenty of people eating on one side of the outdoor area, while the in the other section (where we were seated) people seemed to mostly be having wine. We walked up to the bar and informed the server that we were there for a tasting, and that it was our first time there. Typically, at other wineries, when we tell them that it is our first time visiting their winery, they are very welcoming, and are happy to tell us about the wines they offer. This lady only commented on what a nice day it was, and when we told her we were not familiar with the wines on the list, she told us that they only offer Italian wines. She never asked what types of wines we enjoy, or made any suggestions. When we asked about any particular wines, her response was "that one's really good", but gave no description, comparison, or anything that would make us want to try them. She gave us no information on the benefits of a membership either. We left here disappointed and underwhelmed. read more

Bottaia is such a gem in Temecula. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service is warm without being pushy, and everyone we interacted with was genuinely pleasant. I had Sean for my first tasting in the barrel room and then again later out on the patio--he was fantastic both times. The barrel room itself is cozy and intimate, with plenty of tasting options so you can really explore what you like. As someone who's sensitive to heavier reds, acidic foods/drinks, and anything too spicy, their Sangiovese has become my go‑to--it's smooth, balanced, and easy to enjoy without any harshness. The patio is another highlight: beautiful vineyard views, lots of space to relax, and sometimes live music that adds to the atmosphere without being overwhelming. Their charcuterie board is one of our favorites, and honestly, one tasting is enough to split if you're trying to keep things mellow. They also have indoor lounge seating for members, which looks like a great spot to unwind. Overall, Bottaia is absolutely worth a visit--great wine, great service, and a beautiful setting. They have good indoor seating and outdoor seating and even a pool and cabana which is discounted for members. They have a really good sparkling rose that was bomb!! Was def my favorite The service was decent could have been more attentive but it was pretty busy. I feel they need more food options and play better music for good atmosphere. This place has a fun fresh feel, a white building against the green rows of vines. Our visit was on a very warm day, so once you enter the AC feels amazing. The staff was very friendly right from the start, given us options of either the barrel room, main room with spectacular views or the patio overlooking the pool. Beautiful venue. We reserved seats for $40 each a week or two beforehand to save spaces. When we arrived, they had a walk in special that came up to $27! The walk in special included lounge chairs, two glasses of sangria and a wristband to access a private changing room. We were served by Quincy, such a cool guy, very nice and helpful. We ordered the chicken nachos which were tasty but the chips were thin, they weren't very crunchy. We also ordered a side of fries and a burger that came with fries. The burger was cool, I wish it had more pickles and a sauce maybe. The sangria was light and refreshing. We then ordered the bottaia pecorino white and the angry wife white. The pecorino had a lightly sweet after taste but was good. The angry wife white wine was light, not much flavor profile. The weather was perfect, the pool was fullll! This was my first time here, and went with a group of five others (one of whom is a member there). We were taken outside to the massive patio overlooking the vineyard. There were so many tables and comfortable couches; the perfect setting for a nice wine tasting. Bernadette was our hostess for the tasting, and she was wonderful! You can either buy wines by the glass, or you can custom- build your fight of four tastings. I chose the flight, and Bernadette was able to describe all of the wines on the menu so I could put together the perfect tasting for my palette. They offer items you can snack on with your wine. We got a charcuterie plate and hummus; both were perfect! Their specialty is Italian varietals, so if you want a comfortable place to sip on some, this is your place! This was my first time at this winery and I was not disappointed at all! My friend is a member of the winery so we were seated in the outdoor member lounge area and enjoyed a beautiful view of the winery itself. The weather was gorgeous, sun was shining, there was a nice breeze also. Our server was Antonio and he was very helpful going through the wine list with me and helping me choose flavors he thought I'd like the most since I don't ever drink wine. Went to try the famous Temecula wineries and Bottaia was talked about a lot so I decided to take a visit with my partner and do their charcuterie & wine tasting package. Upon arriving, we waited about 5 minutes to be seated and were greeted by a great view of the winery, though it was the wrong season to see the grapes growing and stuff. Our waitress was super helpful and pleasant, describing each of the wines and their rich history as she was pouring us some to taste. The charcuterie board to was a stunning display of different fruits, vegetables, cheeses, nuts and crackers, some of which I was afraid to try but mustered up the courage to when the waitress described which foods paired with which wines. Each recommendation was spot on and to be completely honest, there was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy, my partner included. It's always a special treat to go to Bottaia! We love their light and airy patio as well as stylish and gorgeous lay out of the tasting rooms inside. It's alwyas a beautiful occasion in Bottaia. Also, love their tasting flights and it is a good deal with memebership. If you know what you like, then a glass or a bottle is better deal of course. Saw this place on Tik Tok and decided to try it out. Luckily I live 5 minutes away so it was no hassle to get there. I had made an online reservation for two a few days prior and showed up at 11am and was helped quite quickly. The process was smooth and quick. The staff here is great, no complaints at all. I paid $50 for the private cabine which includes a shower, mirror, shampoo, body wash etc. it's a great feeling to rinse off after the pool & sun and change in a clean space. The $50 also includes two chairs and umbrella, towels, and two sangrias. Pretty good deal for an all day by the pool in beautiful wine country. We stayed from 11-3:30. Our server was Quincy and he was awesome!! He came by, took our order (we got the nachos) got us water, soda, and my beers. He was very attentive and on it at all times. Everyone working here is really great. There are two sets of bathrooms close by, a bar, little splash area, cabanas for rent and a lifeguard on duty. It was really relaxing, my daughter and I had a nice time. The only drawbacks are that kids are allowed, so there is some noise and splashing around activity. I'm a mom so I have nothing against kids it just doesn't fit the vibe for me. The food wasn't too bad in price but the nachos had barely any chicken and they were just meh. They do play music in the background which is nice too. It's a beautiful setting and I really enjoyed the laid back day with my daughter. This review is for the pool area. Took my wife here for her birthday. Service was great and the pool itself was very nice however the cocktails were absolutely awful. I dont know who is in charge of what they make there but every drink was worse than the last. After trying 4 different cocktails we gave up and switched to sangria. The cocktails seem like they were designed by someone who exclusively drinks wine and has never had a cocktail before or were made for people who lack taste buds. Honestly that terrible. She took the time to explain the situation, apologized for the issues we experienced during our visit yesterday, and even compensated us for our flights. I really appreciate the company's efforts to address the problem, and I'm willing to give this place another try on my next visit! Original review: This place was suggested quite a few times while I was searching on Reddit, so I decided to check it out. We had reservations at The Deck for a wine tasting, and since they offer wine flights there, that's what we went with for our 2 p.m. reservation. We arrived a little early and were seated before 2. What was really frustrating, though, was that we weren't greeted for the first 30 minutes. The service here was honestly disappointing. Our server was very nice once they finally came by--no complaints about them personally--but overall, I won't be returning or recommending this place. It took about 40 minutes after being seated for our wine to arrive, and when it finally did, one of my boyfriend's tasters was half empty (see photo 2). Maybe we came on a bad day or they were short-staffed, but my hopes and expectations for this place definitely weren't met. I was really disappointed, I had high expectations, but that seems to be always the problem. The waiter was not trained properly and everything seemed to go down hill from there. The waiter did not know about the wines and did not know what to recommend. I did not like how you had to order everything all at once either. It just felt rushed and we had a reservation. In addition, we ordered the charcuterie tray, which was appetizing that paired nicely with the Spumante. The wines here lacked depth overall after the sparkling, and even with age weren't going to get better unfortunately. I felt the ambiance was really basic, the environment lacked character, it was really bare bones and didn't know what it wanted to be besides a copycat winery of the one next door. read more

What a beautiful experience! Bottaia is always great, but Bernadettte gave such excellent service, I had to leave a review. She gave great recommendations and advice. Happy hour was an unexpected surprise, and the blondie brownie dessert tasted so amazing with the sweet late harvest vermentino that we brought home a bottle. We had a very disappointing experience at Bottaia Winery. Upon arrival, we were told there would be a 30-minute wait and instructed to wait in the tasting room. We ordered some tastings and waited patiently, but after an hour we went back to the front desk to check, and were told our table was ready. Why didn't anyone come to get us sooner? To make matters worse, we were shocked to learn that you cannot take the wine you purchase in the tasting room onto their outdoor deck, which is only steps away. This policy makes no sense and left us having to chug our glasses before being seated, which really ruined the experience. When we finally sat down, it took over 15 minutes for anyone to greet us. At that point, we decided to leave. The lack of communication, strange rules, and poor service made it clear this is not a place worth returning to. Save your money and time and visit another winery instead. read more

Sister ship to Ponte Winery is BOTTAIA Winery. We had reservations for their wine tasting and it was quite the treat. $25 per person for 6 varieties with a bonus of a taste from the barrel which will be ready to bottle a couple years out. Our host Carrie was a HOOT!. She explained the wines, she explained the Winery, she explained the process, protocol and other functions they have at BOTTAIA . Clinically white all around in the lobby. The Barrel Room is cute; it is a barrel room. They have the Pool and the Lab to which I am excited to try on my next visit out to Temecula OK! I joined the wine club. Oddly, I am a red wine person but I selected their white wine variety in the club. Impressive to me because I am a red wine lover, I did enjoy their white varietals.
