We made our way back to this, wonderfully modern, beautifully appointed winery and tasting rooms. We got lucky this time as they put us in the barrel room that they keep at a nice cool, 62° Mandatory temperature to keep the wines tasting delicious. We had the pleasure of being served by our wonderful wine steward , Alayna. She gave us the rundown of all of the delicious wines we were tasting and of course she gave us just a little bit more of the ones that we really adored. Very friendly service. Their Montepuciano is the best in the valley and deserves recognition. The tannins are perfect and the boldness of the wine pairs well with their spectacular charcuterie board. Love this place!! From the moment you walk in, you feel how special this place is. It transport you to a new modern, classy, relaxing world. My bf and I tried the wine tasting that came with the charcuterie. It came with 5 wine selections and samples of other ones too. We had Dennis as our server and he was amazing, friendly, personable, and even gave us great recommendations for dinner. It's been YEARS since I've been to the Temecula wineries, which is a long overdue trip. On our way to Palm Springs, we decided to squeeze in some wine tastings, and this was on the list. The first attempt was a no-go since we came when it was closing. So we tried again on our way down, and the customer service was impeccable! The staff remembered us on our first trip and immediately provided us with a table in the patio. First of all, I love the modern design of winery, which is not typical of wineries in the area. The design, coupled with the high ceilings, neutral colors, and the outdoor seating, gave the winery an airy feel. Our waiter was Dennis, and he was very informative with the variations of wine and made several recommendations for our wine flights. They only serve apps here since they don't have a license in the tasting area to provide hot food. I loved the delicate flavors of the white wine and robust and deep flavors of the reds. As we sampled the wines, we were treated to live music. Afterwards, Dennis gave us a tour of the property, from the barrel room, wine making room, and various other rooms that can be enjoyed as a wine member. From the service to the food, everything was amazing and DEFINITELY fulfilled everything on this hot day ! Our server Emily was great!!! Very friendly and such an amazing server. Of all the vineyards I've been to in Temecula, I would say Bottaia has one of the best views. Also going to give them an extra star for the fact that they have a pool. We didn't try the pool, but did try the wine and cheese pairing/tasing. It's $72 per person. You can choose either an antipasta board or a charcuterie board. It comes with 5 wine tastings. I would say that the board actually comes with more than enough food for the pairing. We each also got 3 additionally complimentary tastings for a total of 8 tastings. I'm generally not a fan of the wines of Temecula but this place has several decent ones. The facility itself is quite nice with an upscale feel and has a cool barrel room and deck for sipping wine or doing a tasting. Reservations are recommended but I came on a cloudy weekday where there were few people and a walk-in could easily be seated. The Deck is a covered patio and has a lovely view of the vineyard, perfect for a relaxed wine tasting experience. I sat there and did a tasting flight, choosing five red wines from their selections. The pours were wonderfully generous and I appreciated that the flight was delivered with each glass labeled as to which wine it contained. The woman who brought the flight and checked in on me was very congenial and offered information on the various wines I chose. She also did a soft sell of their member program; members have areas of the facility that are separate from non-members where they can enjoy the wines including a swimming pool. I find the prices on the bottles to be inexplicably high but I still purchased a couple anyway (a barbera and a montepulciano). I would recommend this as a stop for anyone doing wine tasting in Temecula. read more

We recently spent the weekend in temecula and visited this winery. My wife and I had just finished wine tasting at our hotel fown the road and wanted to take advantage of another winery experience. After ordering some food with the waitress, my wife mentioned that she needed something to eat as she felt alittle tipsy. Naturally, I figure this would be the result of tasting a few wines, but nothing out of the ordinary as far as we were concerned. We were very respectful, quiet a d reserved, eager to continue are wonderful afternoon. The waitress came back and told us that she did not feel comfortable serving us, as my wife mentioned the word tipsy and that was a "trigger word". We were taken back as we did not act out of line or show any signs of impairment, nor did we behave deliberately or disrespectful. We were neither sloppy or slurring our words. We simply requested a wine tasting and some charcuterie to go along with our experience. We asked the manager to come and further assist us and she was of no help. She backed her employees decision as I can understand she would, but I felt discriminated against. Everyone has several glasses of wine poured at thier tables, laughing and drinking. We simply ordered food amd were denied service. After articulated discussion with the manager, we were ultimately denied service. I will never spend another dime at this location, nor recommend this winery. I was felt humiliated and disgusted with the treatment I received. If we were drunks and trying to get wasted, we would be at a bar or pool side cabana in Vegas, not a winery. BOTTAIA, managing is not easy ad we have to tough decisions sometimes, I get it. However, your judgment call on us was not warranted and I hope you will learn from this post. Treat others with kindness and try not to judge people so quickly. Spent today poolside in a cabana for a friend's birthday. This was my second time at the Bottaia pool and it was even better than the first time. Our server HUNTER was outstanding! We never had to go looking for him, he checked on us at the perfect times. He kept the tasty drinks coming and the pitchers of water full. He had great suggestions. An absolute pleasure. We ordered, 2 pizzas, 2 orders of chicken nachos, Crudite trio, and 2 orders of calamari throughout the day. The food came out extremely fast and was delicious. The staff came around to see if we were comfy with the pool temp. When we said it was a little chilly they turned the heater in the pool on! Great music too. We made reservations and I have to say I'm used to the Napa Valley area's Wineries, however, Bottaia was absolutely stunning and I think Temecula is worth the drive. The breathtaking view of the vineyard from our table made us immediately feel relaxed. The service was definitely on par for the style of the Winery. We were immediately taken to our table when we checked in and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We shared a few flights of wines along with a couple of the appetizer plates. As regulars at several local wineries and long-time wine enthusiasts, my husband and I had heard quite a bit about this place through conversations with wine servers in our members' lounges. Curious, we decided to visit and see what all the buzz was about. Upon arrival, the interior gave off the feel of a clean, modern condo...something you'd typically find in a 3 to 4-star hotel in places like Bangkok, Samed, or Phuket. It didn't quite match the "fancy" reputation we'd been led to expect. We were greeted by two ladies at the front desk, and I asked if we could purchase a tasting. Our goal wasn't just to try the wine, but potentially to join as members if we enjoyed it. Surprisingly, we were asked if we had a reservation...on a weekday, no less...while the tasting room itself appeared empty. We were told that tastings were reserved for members only, which was confusing. How are potential customers supposed to decide if they want to join without first trying the wine? We were eventually seated outdoors on the far edge of the deck, in a windy and cold spot with no heater or service in sight. The experience felt isolating and unwelcoming. My husband is white, and I am Asian, and unfortunately, it did feel as though we were treated differently because we are a biracial couple. Whether intentional or not, the treatment we received made us feel out of place and unwelcome. Given the lack of hospitality, we chose not to order anything and decided to leave shortly after. Based on this experience, we won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend this place to others. read more

Our first visit to the deck at Bottaia was last spring and we were eager to return. We were lucky enough to have Sean as our server a second time. He was very helpful, attentive, and friendly and informative about the wine club while remaining low-key about it. I joined, and I'm not a "joiner". This was a beautiful tasting experience, with sweeping, panoramic views of vineyards and rolling hills and the wines presented as a labeled flight in a cluster of separate small glasses. The charcuterie board was excellent, especially the marcona almonds, olives, and sage cheese, and complemented the flight. I wish I had taken a picture of the board! All of the wines we tasted were excellent and we bought four bottles of the Arneis for Thanksgiving dinner. We look forward to returning each time we visit or pass through Temecula. read more

Staff was rude. This winery has a patio wine tasting experience and then also a pool area that has a cafe. I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. While half my group were purchasing wine tastings on the patio area me and the rest of my group decided to go by food from the pool cafe and then bring it back over to the patio area to join the rest of our group since the menu over by the patio area did not have many selections. While ordering food from the pool cafe I asked an employee a few times if it would be okay if I bring the food we were purchasing over to the patio area once our food was made. He said that he would not see why that would be a problem. He said if anyone gave us trouble to mention his name. Me and my friend brought the food over from the pool cafe to the patio area and rejoined the rest of our group. As soon as me and my friend were about to begin eating our food, a lady rushed over to us in front of everyone saying we were not allowed to eat our food in this area and we would have to go back to the pool area if we wished to eat our food. Before I could even finish my sentence and tell her that an employee told us it would be fine, she rudely cut me off and told me I was told wrong. My friends who ordered wine and small tastings from the patio area were not allowed to bring their wine and small tastings over to the pool area to join us either meaning that all the food we had just ordered was cold by the time we had gotten to eat it. The women also watched and stared at us our entire time here to the point where we just went to a completely different winery due to the experience being so uncomfortable. There was no visible signs that mentioned not being able to bring food over from one area to another, no other winery I have seen has done this either. This review is solely for the pool experience. The pool is lovely, and I like that they have added cabanas. I've been coming here for 3 years now, and I've always enjoyed the drinks and food, but yesterday's experience left much to be desired. The food selection is very limited. When I first came mid pandemic (06/2021), they advised the menu was limited, as they were just opening back up and trying to figure it out. That was understandable. I went a couple of times last year, and they may had added a couple of new items. Back to my current visit, when we first got there, I only wanted to snack on some fries and felt I would order an entree later. I ordered fries, and to my surprise, I could get sweet potato, regular or a mix of French fries and sweet potato fries, so I opted for that latter. The waitress brought us fries that almost looked brown, they were luke warm and soggy. I don't know about you, but I enjoy my fries crispy. My man said they seemed like they were cooked in an air fryer, but even the air fryer will produce crispier fries. We sent them back and they were taken off the bill. We ordered a sangria carafe ($56 I believe) and it tasted bitter, watered down and disgusting. We drank it, because we didn't want to send back another item, but it was awful. Maybe without the ice dilution, it would taste better or maybe not, but I would never order the sangria again. Needless to say, the sangria and the fries were underwhelming, so we didn't want to order anything else, and decided we'd go eat afterwards. This was the most expensive wine tasting I did during my weekend in Temecula and also the least enjoyable. I had a feeling there was going to be a pretentious vibe here because they are very forward on their website about their members only amenities, but I was shocked that they put non members in a closed off, freezing room away from the main entrance. It felt like we were being punished for being a first time visitor. There was only one wine that I enjoyed during our 4-5 tasting experience. It was the last tasting of the younger wine from the barrel that smelled like a blueberry muffin. It may have been the first wine of the tasting that left a bad taste in my mouth. It was very unpleasant and nearly all the wines that followed just were not enjoyable. This winery was not for me and I will save my money and go somewhere else next time I'm visiting Temecula. read more

Beautiful place from the sign-in area, the general lobby/waiting area, barrel wine-tasting room, the more upscale wine-tasting room with food pairings looks classy, to the outdoor deck in the vineyard area. Each person receives a list of the wines that they're about to taste (7 total for $34), and there's a mini map of Italy under each wine which shows which region of the country that the wine originated from, and there's lined spaced under each wine for us to jot down our notes about the wines.
