Boston Pack and Ship shipped several antiques from my great aunt's house in Cape Cod to Southern California. These items included chairs, tables, and an original oil painting. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the packing. All goods arrived in perfect condition. I have posted a few pictures that show the quality of the packing. I would definitely trust them to pack and ship valuable goods across the country. read more

I used Boston Pack and Ship to send an antique piece of furniture from Boston to Sedona, AZ. I can't say enough about their service and the quality of the packing. Item arrived on the day they said it would and was in pristine condition. Easy to work with and great customer service. Highly recommend. read more

I bought a few items from an auction house in Boston back in November, and the auctioneer recommended Boston Pack and Ship to get said items to my home in San Diego. Nothing big, just a few 8x10 photographs. Simple! I called and spoke to Gene, who told me that they would be over to the auction house later that week to pick up my items (as part of a group pickup). Awesome. I asked Gene to either call or email me when he needed my credit card information for payment. So far so good. Friday came and went. Nothing. Ok, it's getting close to the holidays...I get it, they're busy. I gave them another few days. No response. Two voicemails and an email. Nothing. Finally, a week later, I get a hold of them again, only to find out that "something happened" and that they didn't pick up my items. Gene assured me that he would reschedule my pickup as soon as he could. That conversation ended with him telling me that he would call me in 'the next day or two' with a final price for shipment and insurance. Over a month later, I'm still waiting for that call. I finally got so frustrated with them that I just called another company in Boston, who picked up my items THAT DAY and had them in the mail to me the day after. Maybe they blew me off because I only had a few small items to ship (quoted at $195 plus insurance), or maybe they forgot about me. Either way, as the owner of a medium sized business myself I know from experience that you aren't going to be successful if you can't take care of the 'little guys' as well the larger players. Zero stars if I could. By far the most unprofessional company I've ever (partially) worked with. read more

I've done 5 cross country moves in the past 10 years. This one was by far the easiest. Thanks to Bill Yankee - kept in contact, extremely friendly. I just kept thinking during the entire process that this is way too good to be true. There's going to be a catch. Moves had NEVER gone this smoothly for me. Other movers I've had have done the extra charges tacked on at the day of delivery routine so many times that I'd become used to it. My move was relatively small and simple. Anything larger than storage totes, I sold. I had a total of what I thought was 23 totes. Bill said I had 24. A-ha, I caught 'em, right? No, Bill was right. When my totes arrived, sure enough there were 24. I counted wrong. I was going to ship everything UPS or USPS - but this was definitely the way to go. Everything arrived on time and safely. I read the previous review of this place and can't tell you how opposite my experience was in terms of the staff. I only pretty much dealt with Bill. But Bill was exceptionally patient and reassuring through the whole process. read more

I highly recommend Boston Pack and Ship for any long-distance or international moving needs. I was referred to them by another company, so kudos to that company as well. They advised Boston Pack and Ship would be better suited to my shipping needs, and they were. I moved from the Boston area to a city in the UK about 90 minutes west of London. I had of course never done an international move before, and they answered all my questions in a friendly, professional and timely manner. (And I had a lot of them!) They explained the costs and the entire process to me in a way that made sense to a lay person and were very kind throughout the process. We very carefully packed our own boxes with household goods, but took valuable desktop computer towers and several PC monitors to them for packaging and they arrived in excellent condition. As the Yelper Chris C. posted before, it was very high quality packaging. The packaging of our computers and monitors looked just like the antiques packaging in Chris's photos. And like Geno mentioned in his review, I have come to expect moving companies to come up with something new to charge me for at the last minute. Not this one. Upfront, clear and very helpful. Support a local business with your next move and hire these guys! My husband and I are glad that we did! Thanks, Boston Pack and Ship! read more

Very friendly, on time, helpful throughout....Why 2 stars? They misplaced one of my boxes with a lot of essential and expensive-to-replace things in it. When it never arrived in The Netherlands with the rest of my things, I called, and sure enough the box was in their warehouse, and they'd somehow overlooked including it in my shipment. I'd have been cool with that if they'd offered to send it right over. But they said they couldn't ship one box, and only agreed to send it to my family in the US. Seems to me if a shipping business makes a mistake like that, it's on them to make things right. Two strikes: not including the box with my shipment and then not sending it over, somehow, at their own cost. They could have paid the air freight if they weren't allowed to send it by ship as a single box. Sometimes you take a loss to maintain your good reputation, and also because it's just the right thing to do. Very disappointing. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE THIS SHIPPING COMPANY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Explanation below. I've been refraining from writing this complaint until I was calm enough to form sentences. I have never in my life experienced worse customer service than from this company. I called the company and requested that they come pick up two boxes from my apartment to ship back to me at school. They came, collected my items, took my information, told me that they would ship them on the agreed date, and left. I emailed the manager with my shipping information and told him to inform me when he needed further payment information. When I arrived at school, my boxes were no where to be found. You can imagine how confused, upset, and frustrated I felt. I attempted to reach out to the manager and waited for his return call until the beginning of the work week (super unprofessional). Then, when he finally did call me back, he blamed me for not following up with the shipment of my items, regardless of sending him my information in advance. He blamed the customer. When I requested a discount for the late shipment, he blatantly and rudely refused. It cost me an absurd amount of money and they treated me with absolutely no respect. I hope you find a better company than I did. read more

Do not ever use this storage company...at least if you are a student. The men in the office are INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful, but the young men who deliver are actually very nice, pleasant and helpful. For the amounts they charge, they have no business treating customers like me in the manner that they did. I felt insulted when I was yelled at and poorly treated by one of them over a very simple misunderstanding. They also do not have their business in line and will often tell you that they'll do something and then when you ask them about it later, they will tell you that they have no idea what you are talking about. They stored my stuff, and it came back free of any damage, but I strongly advise you not to use them. I know that I will NEVER again. read more

Stay away. I got one estimate of pricing, then ended up with a $1000 more. Then they lose two important boxes of mine shipping with them, and three months of calls and emails, I don't get any sincere concern or action about my boxes, but rather doubting if I numbered my boxes correctly or if I threw them away. Then three months later I get a call from someone from a different company's warehouse (they use them for freight) telling me she found my boxes sitting there. If it wasn't for this lady, I would have lost my stuff forever. read more

I would recommend anything but this. It is overpriced and when I went to ship a box, they say one box is 60 dollars, and the man charged me 120 because my box was "bigger" than the others, they charged all boxes the same. Then I called the company to ask further and they gave me sass and a bad attitude. Terrible service and employees. It made me so upset that it ruined my day. read more

I am living in Austin and needed to have items picked up at my family's home in Boston and shipped to me. I arranged everything with Bill and Gene over the phone. They coordinated with my brother, packed the breakables better than I could have expected, kept me informed, and shipped everything on-time. Great service. Highly recommend them. read more

My experience with BP&S was great from the beginning to the end. Great to work with. Excellent communication, they did what they promised in every detail. Problems, as every move will have, were handled expeditiously. Would highly, highly recommend! read more

I called the customer service to get a quote. The representative asked me the standard questions, such as size of the apartment, and if there is an elevator. When I told him that there was 1 flight of staircase. All of the sudden he said he couldn't help me because the company is specialized in long-distance moving. But from their websites it is clear that they also do local moving, and if they really do just long-distance moving, he wouldn't have bothered to ask me all these questions from the first place. Their service might be good, but I never had a chance to find out since I was denied their service. So if you don't want to be discriminated based on the lack of elevator, or local moving, or etc, you probably shouldn't bother to get a quote from this place. read more

This company exceptional. We have had an absolutely fantastic experience with Boston Pack and Ship in moving some treasured belongings to Florida. Initially placed a call and spoke with Ryder who, based on our discussion, emailed us a quote the next day. It was very reasonable and stayed the same throughout the completion of our move. Their staff is outstanding. Two gentlemen came to our home to take our furniture, boxes, etc. were most pleasant and treated all of our belongings as we would. Ryder kept informed of the day our shipment would leave and the approximate date of arrival. We were contacted by the delivery company two days before they arrived...and within the schedule Ryder had given us. The delivery was absolutely fantastic. In 90+ degree weather, these gentlemen carefully emptied our portion of the truck and took extreme care of each item. A big thank you to Boston Pack and Ship for making this move so easy for us. k Happy Customer Florida read more
