Boston Burger is such a fun, special occasion restaurant. Not somewhere I would go all the time but great for families, kids, birthdays, date night, etc. The burgers are solid and they have great sweet potato fries. Fun menu with a bunch of different types of food, not only burgers including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings, and more. The milk shakes are honestly just as good as they look. We walked here after touring Fenway Park, so I had to order the Big Papi Burger! Bacon, griddled hot dog, fried egg, guacamole, pickled red onion, lettuce, tomato, papi sauce. It was huge! served with potato chips, and I chose baked beans as a side $23.40. My wife got a sampler, $24. I don't remember what the name of my son's burger was....The burgers were delicious but messy, the chips were a nice touch. The baked beans were pretty good. My wife and I were visiting the city and did some shopping on Newbury St and needed a lunch place in the area. This was perfect. It was the middle of a warm spring afternoon lunch rush but we were sat immediately and the food came out quickly. Menu is huge and you had to pretty much read every full description of every item in order to not miss anything. I think you could come here a dozen times with a dozen different people and still not hit every item they offer, and that's not even to mention the specials. Portions were quite large but we powered through. Burgers came with a side of homemade kettle chips (standard but good) and baked beans (very plain and unnecessary) or coleslaw (didn't try). My wife *needed* fries so we got the garlic parm which were excellent. Burgers were very good though extremely messy. Like eat it without putting it down and deal with the napkins at the end messy. Strawberry Shortcake freakshake was only possible to tackle by deconstructing it, but again power through. Not what I would have picked but my wife was happy. The menu here is HUGE! I feel like I could spend hours looking at it... but what draw me to it is all the food on Food Paradise (one of my favorite shows!). Not only is the menu huge but the burgers and milkshakes are huge. To start, my husband and I shared the 'Bruschetta Fries' which had parmesan, tomatoes, basil, garlic, pesto mayo drizzle and definitely my favorite out of everything we tried. They were delicious! For his entrée, my husband got the '420' which was mozzarella sticks, fried mac & cheese, onion rings, fries, bacon, golden BBQ sauce, American cheese. This was, again, HUGE and came with potato chips and baked beans. I got the 'G.O.A.T' which was a special burger for this month and had a beef burger, fried goat cheese, bacon apples, prosciutto, fig jam, mixed greens, citrus honey vinaigrette. This also came with potato chips and coleslaw. I do like coleslaw but did not care for their version and I am not a fan of kettle cooked chips so I didn't try those. Unfortunately, we did not have any space for one of the milkshakes. I did try one of the alcoholic drinks with my order - I do not remember the name but it was DELICIOUS. Burgers are delicious and the "diner" vibe that the restaurant is going for is executed to perfection. The drink selection is very small, which was one of the only downsides to my experience. The wait staff was friendly and helped keep wait times short for those waiting for a table. read more

My friend is visiting the U.S. for the first time and wanted to try a true American burger, and I'm so glad I brought her to Boston Burger Company. We ordered the Alpine Burger and the Burger Bomb Burger and split them, and they were both so delicious and bursting with flavor. The burger patty itself was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were also amazing, they were so crispy and flavorful. The restaurant itself has such a cool vibe - it has a very American feel which is exactly what I wanted. The servers are also great, they came and started friendly conversation with us made us feel so welcome. I also have to say that the food came quite quick, and the place is very well priced considering the large portions we were given. I would definitely recommend Boston Burger Company and I'm sure I'll be returning soon! read more

I spent all day travelling and walking through the city preparing myself to eat a big dinner. Apparently, that wasn't enough! Lol. I ordered their 420 burger which has your usual beef patty and melty cheese, in addition to an onion ring, bacon, and 2 mozzarella sticks. It came with a side of chips and a sauce. This thing was massive! With the unique topping of mozzarella sticks and onion ring, it added more crunch and cheesiness to my burger. Knowing this place was popular for their milkshakes, I ordered the Dough My Goodness. Unironically, I did say "Oh My Goodness" when the waitress brought it out. This was a meal by itself. It had a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, scoops of cookie dough, chocolate chip cereal around the cup, and a bunch of whip cream. Completely forgot about the part of it being a milkshake, so in addition to all of these toppings, there was a delicious milkshake underneath it. The milkshake ended up being my meal for the night and the burger was my leftover. Everything tasted delicious, the waitress was very nice and gave me plenty of recommendations, and the overall experience was enjoyable. Highly recommend this place! BUT BE WARNED!!!!!!!! Great burger joint! Of my favorite things about it is you can sub a turkey or veggie burger for anything on their menu! As a non-beef eater, this is huge. I had the Vermont burger with cheddar and maple infused mayo. It was outstanding. I also highly recommend the white sangria, it is the perfect go on a hot summer day. And this is a small tidbit... First time trying Boston burger and had high expectations going in from looking at the menu. They offer a huge variety of every possible burger you would want, assorted apps, other sandwiches, and even cool milk shakes that look delicious! The restaurant itself is right on Boylston street with outdoor seating and indoor seating. We went outside since it was a nice day. My GF and I had the homemade mozzarella sticks which weren't bad but actually had have had too much cheese in them, garlic parm boneless wings which were just chicken tenders barely tossed in the sauce which the sauce was pretty awful, the fries we had to order on the side couldn't even sub the chips for were ice cold but prob would have been very good if came out hot. The killer bee burger we had which looked awesome on the plate was just average at best for being a place that specializes in burgers. The Caesar salad we got was room temperature and not crisp so that was also a miss. The service was a little slow and not too attentive. Not to mention there was a guy blasting music 5 feet away from us so that made it difficult to enjoy our dinner but not the businesses fault. First time at Boston Burger and everything was going well until I saw the server/bartender Nick making someone else's S'more's Frappe and not wearing gloves while he touches marshmallows and graham crackers that go on and around the frappe. Whenever I'm in town visiting Boston, this is one my teenager's favorite places. Boston Burger puts a creative twist on their craft burgers. These burgers (and plant-based ones as well) are generously topped with ingredients that, when layered together, make for delicious burger. Two of our favorites are the Artery Clogger and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Their burgers are huge, so I have yet to try one of their incredible looking milkshakes. Hopefully during another visit, I'll leave room for one of these amazing looking treats! Service is always fantastic, and their atmosphere is fun and casual. They are popular for a valid reason. Highly do not recommend for anyone with an allergy. Called ahead to ask if they can accommodate celiac, but said no. So, I brought my own food to eat while my friends get food and was told I am not allowed to eat. I explained as part of the ADA they are required to accommodate anyone with a disability, including allowing celiacs to bring their own food if necessary. We knew from the Instagram page that this place would be good. We split the strawberry shortcake frappe and the milkshake was the perfect thickness and had some strawberry chunks. The shortcake on top of the frappe was alright, nothing special and a bit dry. Doesn't mean I wouldn't order it again, though. For lunch, we ordered the 420 burger and the mumbo #5 sandwich. The burger was phenomenal, and everything was cooked to perfection. The mumbo #5 sandwich was a mistake on my end - I should've ordered a burger... I mean, the place is called Boston BURGER Company... that being said, it was alright but probably not as good as any of their burgers would've been. Anyways, whatever you order will likely be a lot of food and we couldn't finish it all. Everything comes with homemade potato chips and a side of baked beans or coleslaw. The 420 deal is real! Come from 4:20-5pm and the 420 burger is yours for $4.20. Do not come at 5pm or you will be denied this deal (I speak from experience). Contrary to past publicity, it does not end at 5:20pm. The person at the front also checked his watch to confirm that we made it in the time window... Only eat in and only one per person. I came on a random Tuesday afternoon at 4:26pm and we got the last table there! There seems to always be construction at this location but I guess that doesn't deter people from dining there. The 420 Burger is essentially fried appetizers (1 onion ring, 2 mozz sticks, some mac n cheese, etc) in a burger, and comes with chips and either coleslaw or beans as the side. The coleslaw had a weird aftertaste with the burger and its sauce (my friend thought so too), so maybe try the beans instead. The bed of friend mac n cheese at the bottom was a great addition. You know that the burger is a heart attack in food form, but I made the mistake of looking it up and people estimate it between 1200-2500 calories, so eat at your own risk. I thought the burger would be mind boggling impressive, but it was as expected, like not as crazy as their shakes look. Maybe because the burger is overwhelmingly brown. The burger also was a bit colder than I would have liked when it came out, like as if it had sat on the counter for a bit before they brought it to our table. Service was pretty good. Dive bar-y atmosphere. I would come back another day to try another one of the monstrous burgers or milkshakes, but I'd have to fast all day first. read more

Stopped by Boston burger with some friends on our last day in town and it was really good. The space isn't super large, but they were able to get a group of 4 seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The service was solid with our server making sure we got everything we ordered. For food, I had the 420 burger which was MASSIVE, I normally hate burgers with too much because everything falls out, but the bun they use is perfect and holds all the fixings together nicely. We also split the nacho fries and mango habanero boneless wings. I'd probably skip the fries next time around since they weren't amazing, but the wings (which were more so strips) were super tasty and tender. We also split a strawberry shortcake shake for the table and it was insane. Huge cake to top off a tasty shake. Definitely would not recommend trying to attack one alone. read more

I ordered here again, after being disappointed last time, I just assumed maybe they were having a bad day or because I ordered on a weekend night the burger I got wasn't as good because they were rushed. But today was a Thursday and yet my burger was... lackluster. I ordered through ubereats and they completely forgot the pesto mayo, and if they ran out I wish they would have let me know at least so I could pick a different mayo? But instead I just get a condimentless burger and because of that, it's dry. I don't know why every time I get a burger here, something is wrong whether it be a missing condiment, miscoooked burger, or poorly done sides (this time the chips were soggy and pale, unlike the usually crispy golden brown). I really used to love this place but their efforts really feel like they don't give a crap haha. It's not like these burgers are cheap either. They're all $15 minimum. This place is no joke when it comes to their burgers and milkshakes. Dine in if you can because it's best to eat everything right out of the kitchen-- you still want the the crisp of the fried stuff (fries, onion rings, mozz sticks) as well as the melty cheese. If you want a super stuffed, meaty burger this is the place to go. We got the mac attack, 420, and the whiskey tango foxtrot which were their top 3 most popular ones per the waiter. We also got a side of mumbo fries out of curiosity. The mumbo sauce was ok, you would probably be more of a fan than I was if you enjoy sweet and tangy sauces. It did pair well with the creaminess of the ranch though and the fries were crispy, delicious, and had great texture. The burgers were absolutely enormous and SO stuffed. If your burger has mozz sticks in it, eat it ASAP! Otherwise they get hard and its not as good anymore. All the burgers had so many flavors it was like fireworks on my taste buds. The crispiness from the onion rings, and mozz sticks, gooeyness from the mac n cheese, and the PATTY. The patty was THICC. You have a choice of how you want it cooked, I recommend medium rare. We went here for dinner. We had the following: 1. Mac and cheese aracinis - 7/10, I feel like you really just cannot go wrong with anything mac and cheese related 2. Chips and guac - 5/10, nothing special but what was a bummer is they give you the exact same chips for the guac appetizer as you get with the sandwiches 3. Traditional cheeseburger - 5/10, nothing special. Just a decent burger 4. Chicken pesto sandwich - 5/10, again nothing special. The pesto aioli was very yummy though. 5. Fries - 8/10, now these were tasty but really a bummer that you have to pay for them separately. At a burger place, fries should be the guaranteed side. I dig this place a lot! All the food I've had has been great! Haven't had one thing that I didn't enjoy thoroughly. But, be warned- this is NOT a low-calorie or diet conscious spot. Even though they may have some "vegan" options, if you eat at this place, you are consuming ALL of your daily calories in one meal!
