I had driven by this place a few times and it always seemed to be poppin'. (From what I've heard, this is the biggest/ nicest Bosque Brewing location here in town- I wouldn't know to compare). Plenty of outdoor seating, great views. We came here with a large group and they were very accommodating. I got the 1 steak taco and 2 chicharron for $8. Burgers seemed to be popular here and the fries looked well seasoned. The tacos, yet small, were the perfect size. The chicharron was cooked to perfection (unlike some places here in town that do it- wasn't chewy, wasn't fatty, and was more like a crunch, meaty bacon). I felt that the tacos were a little dry otherwise and kept thinking the chicharron came with a lime crema instead of a salsa. I kept trying to flag down our server but she didn't come back by the time I was on my 3rd taco (my mistake, it was the chicken ones that have the crema I later discovered). The steak one was a little tough, but it had good flavor to it. No complaints here, will be back. (P.S. elephants on parade sounds interesting, doesn't it??) read more

Inattentive waitstaff delivered our meal with no silverware. Hamburger was good, but was clearly the last item to complete our order as the onion rings and fries were room temperature. Disappointed in this trip. Past visits were better. I keep writing because 10 minutes ago, the last time our server came by, we were nearly done, but he still hasn't brought the check or checked to see if we're ready. Pretty good! Traffic in Bernalillo is wretched though. This new place is larger, the stairs are weird (watch your step, says my hobbit hubs) but seems like all the tables were full. We found a couple of bar stools available. I had the fish and chips and the Scotia beer. ($5 at happy hour--ends at 6 pm). The French fries are amazing! Crispy and herb seasoned just the way I like them. Peaches was the bartender. I over tipped her because I had a Scotia (13%) but she was friendly and knows her stuff. Came here after a long drive. Saw the reviews and hoped for the best......bad decision! Food was all cold. Ordered Chips/Queso and had to ask for them 2x. Drinks were not filled, food wasn't good. The kitchen being far from the tables doesn't help. We got 2 quesadillas, 2 order of wings, 1 Sonoran dog and 1 Burris tacos. All were cold-what are the chances????? Don't waste your $$. read more

Growing up in Abq means growing up with the most incredible mountains and sunsets. I never get tired of seeing the Sandias, and this Bosque location provides the prettiest views. Of the many local brewery options in this city, Bosque has ranked at the top for me. And now with a Bosque cider added to their already amazing list of drinks, I'm even more of a fan. There are also delicious food items to choose from on their menu (really good French fries here!), and they're sizable enough to share if you're just wanting a few bites to try. Indoor seating is a smidge limited, so big parties aren't ideal if you're looking to sit inside. But I can't wait for warm summer nights to spend out on their patio! read more

After trekking 8 miles north to Alaska...we were excited to park our legs at Bosque Brewery. We sat upstairs....we ordered the peanut curry chicken wings, house salad and a flight of brews. But service was lethargic. We were asked if we want water? We said yes. None was served. Finally we were told of a "water station" was nearby to get our own water. The wings were delicious...but, we could never order more sauce. The House salad was good...but, the blue cheese dressing was little runny. The beers were from good to some off pudding. Good but not great. There are other NM breweries churning out better product, and the food here is hit-or-miss. (I had a great Impossible Burger, yet I had a terrible mac n' cheese. Let's review this place for what they do best: BEER. Today, the first Saturday they are open, the kitchen was closed... food truck outside, but let's be real, I love Bosque because their brews are on point. Let me share our favorites for the day: #1: Elephants on Parade--a lightly fruity wheat for a girl that usually likes porters and stouts. Yes, you heard me right. This is the epitome of a summer brew. Not too sweet, not too wheaty, but just right. #2: Scotia-- holy moly, an 8.4% scotch ale that tastes like heaven? Yes! This malty 16oz mug of deliciousness hit the spot as we looked out over the river and to the Sandias on the 2nd floor bar. Nope, it's not skunky. It's perfect. #3: Pistol Pete's 1888-- sigh... this was a hard one for this Lobo through and through, but it was light and I dreamed of pairing it with pizza. It's a little more on the IPA end, but again, I'm looking to branch out from my traditional Porters/Stouts and it was a pleasant surprise. Service was fantastic! Our bartender and bar-back were so personable and helpful. This location is already an instant hit and it's no surprise why. We plan on making this a frequent weekend stop. This is my second review of Bosque brewing North. The first was right after it opened, and hadn't worked out the kinks. (Pre pandemic) I have to say they have stepped up and become a great destination. The beer has always been good, so no issues there. The food was the problem when they opened. That issue has been fixed. We had an excellent green chile cheese burger with some of the best fries around. Like everywhere else they are short handed (so chill out and have some patience), but everyone we encountered was willing to help and had a great attitude. Stop by for a great beer, burger, view. Stopped in Sunday after golf at the nearby Santa Ana course, for some supper and a beer. Food and beverage was good. Service was prompt. The amount of dirty dishes on every empty surface was off putting, as was unattended upstairs bar piled with dirty glasses. The entire length of the tables on the upstairs enclosed porch was covered with dirty dishes as was the upstairs bartop. Having to eat while being surrounded by uncleared tables was definitely not very appetizing. read more

They are starting a brunch menu and a few of us got the avocado toast; it was great especially with a little hot sauce especially if you like a little spice. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Fruit basket beer is a mix of cider and ipa and was a huge hit with our group. Give this place a stop! read more

My long time ABQ brewery fav... love the beer(best in ABQ) love the North location, and the food has always been greet... BUT today after another great experience, I found out when I went to pay that they've eliminated a place on the bill to give a tip to your server...who was great BTW..and now offer a "Donations" line in place of the tipping. The donation apparently goes to "minority causes" whatever that means. Frankly if Bosque's owners want to donate some of their profits to minority causes more power to them...BUT frankly to do so by taking away the option of tipping those who serve you, is in my unsolicited opinion ridiculous. Has its own Food Court ordering area, with a variety of choices, we tried their freshly made chicarrones (fried pork skins) a must try,including the grilled cheese sandwich, both are outstanding. I had high expectations. I really was hopeful that this would be a great experience. I have heard much and read much about this please and the reviews were mixed. Unfortunately this was not a great experience. We sat down and it took 20 minutes for someone to come over to our table. It's a Saturday afternoon about 2 PM and it wasn't that crowded. We were just basically ignored. My wife ordered a soda and I ordered an iced tea. They brought her can but no glass or ice. We asked but never got. We ordered chips and salsa with a side of queso They forgot the queso. I thought this was hilarious because another reviewer said the same thing happened to him. Apparently my wife and I don't always agree on what's funny. The Queso was very good. Warm, creamy with a little bit of heat and a nice beer undertone. We ordered green chili cheeseburgers. They weren't really cooked properly as my wife ordered medium well and it was medium to medium rare. She didn't want to bother asking for it to be corrected because she didn't want to wait. Not a huge deal but a detail. Very good quality ingredients but it just doesn't come together right. Seems like the meat is not seasoned very well. For Kobe beef it really lacks any type of depth or flavor. Overall a decent burger. The fries were amazing. Really good beer battered fries or something similar. Not a large portion but hot, crispy and delicious. Too bad you have to dip them in Hunts ketchup. Really, Where is the Heinz catch up? Bottom line is average tasting food with quality ingredients, a fantastic building with a killer view and service by people who just don't care. read more

Driving back from Sante fe, we got a little hangry and decided to stop by this brewery. It is in the middle of nowhere by the highway. Not too much of a fan of this place. Brew is good and food not so many choices. I tried their tacos with all different kinds of flavors, not too bad but I've had better. My favorite brew is the elephants on parade. We live nearby the Bosque North location in Rio Rancho and frequent it and all the breweries/tap rooms in the area. Bosque North is a regular stop to meet friends for a couple reasons. The location has great outdoor seating and outstanding views of the Bosque and Sandia Mountain. The beer is also exceptional; their standard IPA and Scotia/Scottish Ale are as good as anywhere. The seasonal beers are very good but are sold out too quickly, like their double brown and double IPA. Please brew larger batches.... They also brew a good hazy IPA. The menu has changed several times and is ok but still could use some improvement. I usually go for the green chile cheese burger or fish and chips, but miss the veggie egg rolls that are no longer on the menu. The service is hit or miss, some times great and sometimes you have to go find the wait staff or go to the bar to place an order. Service could be improved by having one wait person responsible for certain tables. Most of the time multiple staff are waiting on us. With multiple wait staff for one table or an area, there seems to be confusion when new customers arrive and if orders have been taken or been served. One other recommendation to Bosque North....a gate should be placed at the north fence line between the brewery and the Coronado campground/RV park. There's no simple way to walk from the nearby campground to the brewery because of the fence. We've stayed at the campground with friends several times and couldn't easily get to the restaurant/taproom. These days with the highway construction and ill-placed traffic lights on the west side of Bernalillo, it's not easy getting to the Bosque North location. Just saying, make it easier for your potential customers from the campground with a gate. read more

Start with the positive. Beers were really good. Now for the rest. service was terrible, they clearly need more staff. Just to order the first drink took 15 minutes. Getting a second drink took us waving over of the manager to get service as it had been over 30 minutes since we'd seen our waiter. Back to good news, 2 of 3 of us received the meal we ordered!!!. Bad news, 1 never received their meal!!. 20 minutes later we had to cancel the order and requested the check. Good news again, the waiter was willing to remove the meal that we did not receive from our bill. Very kind. Bad news, he didn't offer anything else to the person who did not receive his order. Free beer? Removal of 1 beer we'd ordered? Something? Bottom line, good for a beer at the bar, but don't get your hopes up for more than that if you order food. read more
