So, I don't get why everyone else has issues with this location. I went in to get three new Galaxy phones, switching over from Tracfone. The three employees there were very helpful. It did take about an hour to give my information, to set up the new phones and get the payment done. They were able to answer all of my many questions about my new service and the plan. I got the family plan: A one-time payment of about $224 for three new Samsung J3 Galaxy phones and then after that $131 monthly for UNLIMITED call, text and data. It would have been $110 monthly but I decided to go ahead and get the $7 insurance plan for each phone.
Better safe than sorry, right?
I am almost three months into owning these new phones and I am more than pleased. It truly is unlimited talk, text and data with no overcharges or surprise charges. I am in western Washington, nestled in a valley by Mt. Rainier and I receive very good service. Inevitably, I do lose service when going through the valley or high up in the mountains but that is only to be expected.
The body of the phones have stood up very well, the first 2.5 months with no cases. I know, reckless, right? But we were in the middle of a move across the state and were unable to order anything until settled at our new address.
Ironically, I cracked the screen of my phone on the VERY DAY that I placed orders for phone cases. I greatly advise to get cases for your phones because they are so slim that they are hard to grip and slip out of your hand very easily.
The OS is easy to use, layout is clear. Be prepared to uninstall a lot of needless apps though. The camera on the J3 takes very good pictures and video with no grain. No dropped calls, easy to set up voicemail system.
Make sure you check your account monthly and that you have your payment due IN the account BY the date due. You can make your payment via credit card with the Boost app and it will automatically be deducted on the due date.
Overall, I was more than pleased with Boost and this location. Helpful staff, good phones, decent plan. I compared and did the research for all the different carriers and their options, plans and coverage. I would advise that you do the same to choose a carrier that best fits your needs.
Pro Tip: Don't buy your cases in-store. You can get quality cases and a much larger personalized selection off of Amazon for a quarter of the price for the in-store cases. And, even though the phones already come with a protective screen cover, I would advise to add a secondary one. I went a week without a secondary cover and the screen was already getting fine scratches just by being in my pocket.
Pro Tip II: Your monthly payment is due on the day of the month that you purchased the plan/phone. MAKE sure that you have your payment due amount in your account by that date. If you are on the family plan, MAKE sure you make that payment with the default phone on the plan.
Pro Tip III: Don't freak out when you see the Boost Mobile App say that you have *insert number of days* remaining on your service. It will automatically reset after your payment is credited on the due date. read more
