I decided to trade in my phone and upgrade to the newest model as well as make some modifications to my plan, and Verizon made it very easy. I think what helped is I did the order online and then did same day pickup. Upon walking into the store, I was instantly greeted by the friendly staff member, showed the receipt of my transaction and he went off to fetch my new phone which he returned with in less than 5 minutes. He also explained what I needed to do to complete the trade in of my old phone (backup and move data, turn off find me services, reset all) and I was able to complete this same day and they gave me full trade in value for it despite it being a 6 year old device. Overall I was very happy with how my transaction went and have experienced no issues. Store is easy to get to and has ample parking and is clean, open and light inside, pretty much your typical tech store anymore. For me it was the easy and hassle free transaction that made this a good experience for me.

When I visit this store it's always very clean and I like the self check-in which allows the staff to know what you're there for and to hopefully address some easy cases right away when it doesn't require any lengthy conversation. I will say that if there are a few people in line to see an associate, at times you can expect to wait for quite a long time. This isn't the associate's fault, it's just that some cases are quite in depth and it can unfortunately cause a long wait. I've had to visit the store to switch out some equipment and maybe I was lucky, but it was painless and quick - under 10 min. It's always nice to have a store to go to in case you need to address some issues in person.

This location is by far the fastest phone store I've ever been to. Sometimes they'll even help you before you finish checking in, and if you do check in, your name is barely on the list for a few minutes before you're called. No long waits, no stress, which is rare for cell phone stores. The store itself is clean, organized, and calm, so it doesn't feel overwhelming like some other carriers' locations. They carry a wide selection of phones and accessories, so you can pretty much find anything you need for your devices here. And yes , the brand new iPhone 17 is in stock so if you've been waiting to upgrade, this is the place to grab one. The customer service is excellent. Amir helped me during the visit and he was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. There is also a self payment machine inside. Another plus is the location. It's right in the Sam's Club and Walmart shopping center, so you can easily run other errands before or after your visit. There are also plenty of restaurants around, and even a Dottie's right in front ( if you're a local who enjoys stopping in). The whole area is convenient and has everything you might need in one trip. Overall, I definitely recommend this Cox Communications store. If you're tired of waiting forever at other phone stores, come here where they're helpful and make the whole experience stress free

They raised their minimum speeds, initially, I was on a 50Mbps speed, but my last speed test showed I was around 80-85Mbps. This did come with an increase in my monthly bill (from $50 to $65) and there is now a fee ($3) that I'm not sure what it is for. Value - The price per Mbps is good. Based on the numbers above it was about $0.75 per Mb. Compared to Cox which offers 50Mbps at $50 is $1 per Mb. So it really depends what you need the internet for and if you prioritize value or overall cost. Service - When I call Century Link, I'm usually on hold for 25-35 minutes when I call in the morning. I couldn't use their website to perform what I wanted so I had to call, but there is no call back option. I also did not have one of my signals when I got set up initially. One of the cross box connections was wired incorrectly so I was only getting one signal. It took a few visits from a technician to figure it out. When I check their website for internet plans, I see there there are two options for a monthly price of $55/month so I don't know why I was paying $68/month, but I wasn't even offered that when I wanted to cancel service. Also be aware that if you cancel one day after the start of a billing cycle, they will not prorate it. You will need to use their service for the remainder of the cycle even if you already have a new provider.

On top of constantly throttling internet or trying to say they were using a "dedicated connection." Tell that to my 12 mbps download speed through the month of January and February during peak hours. I needed to get existing DirecTV service reactivated for my Mom's move from an old unit to a new unit in the SAME apartment building and update her billing address. Simple, right? I first called DirecTV and after explaining this very simple request to DirecTV, I was transferred by DirecTV to Bel Air to handle this because I guess they outsource the service and support for the Las Vegas market to this failure of an outfit. The first Bel Air guy (Vince) was new or incompetent or both. After 50 minutes on the phone, he transferred me to the Billing dept. to update her address (literally a different unit # at the same address) and reactivate the service in the new unit. Transfer failed and I was disconnected! I called back and the next guy (Anthony) seemed to know what he was doing, but then told me the Sales dept. needed to reactivate the account because they handle moves (upsell opportunity I was not interested in). Gave me the main phone number as the number for Sales. I told him that is the main number I had just called to get to Support. He said "I guess they changed the number for Sales dept". Transferred me to Sales (which was the main phone number with the same phone tree choices) and guess what happened?!?! Yep, call was disconnected again. I called for the last time. Pressed the applicable number for Sales and (you know what happened next) the call failed I was disconnected for the final time. You cannot even get to Sales! Their phone tree (yes, I know how these systems work) is all screwed up and you cannot get to the people who are supposed to work there to sign-up new customers or service existing ones. Bye bye!

Clear Airport Security: When "Fast" Became a Memory…read more I've been a Clear member since the early days, back when it actually felt like a superpower. You'd stroll up to a pod, scan your eyes, and a friendly ambassador would whisk you straight to the front of security while everyone else was still fumbling with laptops and belts. It was glorious. Now, in 2025? The magic has quietly evaporated. Clear has aggressively grown its membership over the years, which is great for business, but they've failed to scale the one thing that matters: operations. Inadequate stations, same (or fewer) staff at many airports, and procedures that haven't evolved to handle the crowds. The result is almost comical if it weren't so frustrating: the Clear line regularly takes 2-4 times longer than the regular TSA line. I've stood there watching the standard queue move steadily while Clear members shuffle forward in a sad, snaking herd, waiting. I only still have Clear because it's a free perk with my credit card. Otherwise, I'd have canceled long ago. These days, I'm seriously considering just walking past the Clear lanes altogether and using regular TSA Pre-Check, because at least that line actually moves. Here's hoping they reinvest some of those membership dollars into actual speed someday. Until then, "Clear" feels like a very expensive misnomer. Photo shows the super long and stagnant Clear lane...with only one TSA Agent/lane and a single "Ambassador." Next to the TSA Pre-Check with 4-5 TSA Agents and lines.
