Came to town to spend time with my daughter and figured we would have a nice sit down dinner. After 35 mins we cancelled the appetizer we ordered. After almost another 15 mins we paid for our drinks and left. The food never arrived at the table. Never been so disappointed. It literally ruined our night. I could understand if they were busy but only 7-8 tables were seated and we didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Very disappointed. If you don't have over an hour to sit and wait I don't suggest going. The owner reached out to me and I responded back but still no call or email. Not sure what has happened to this location but stay away. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because our server was lovely and very nice. I first went in where the hostess was clearly high on something. It was a Wednesday and they were not busy. I told the hostess I had a party of 2 and she needed to speak with the manager. When she came back she didn't remember speaking to me and asked me if I had reservations again. When I told her no for the second time she told me "that's a problem" and when I asked her what the wait would be I lie you not that she looked at me with a very concerned face and said 15 minutes. Not sure what the problem was but ok. It didn't take long to get to our seat and the rest of the night was disappointing. We got the staple bang bang shrimp as an appetizer for it to come out over cooked and only slightly drizzled with bang bang sauce vs being covered. The most amusing thing was my husband and I ordered the same thing, filet and crab cake only my steak was rare and his was medium. They brought us the plates and someone from the kitchen ran to our table and did a side by side view of our steaks analyzing which plate should go where. When my husband and I both cut into it they literally were both cooked the same. Also I should mention that we ordered the filet for them to give us big sirloins instead (I think they thought we were stupid). The flavor on them was nice so we ate them as is because my husband and I don't like sending stuff back and making a scene. Our crab cakes were falling apart and didn't have enough bread to hold them together. As mentioned it was one big disappointment. Opening our Entertainment Book, we came across Bonefish Grill so here we go...we visited the establishment on 17 bypass. Big parking lot so plenty of spots. Greeted at the door by the hostess and we got seated right away. Britney was our server and we was greeted with a smile and explained the menu - all fish freshly delivered and I chose the Imperial Cod. If I was to guess, it was 6oz. Served with 2 sides, I had garlic mashed and Cole slaw. The slaw had an Asian taste to it (ginger). It was a flavor full taste but I was expecting more of a quantity, especially being a piece of cod. My cut was off the flat end of the cod....guess I was expecting a thick cut. I also got another side, premium choice: bacon mac-n-cheese. I forget what kind of cheese is in this but not my thing. It was good but I wouldn't write home about it or probably order it again. Next meal was the 6oz Filet mignon with steamed broccoli and garlic mashed. The filet was cooked perfectly. We noticed the cut had a fat sliver running through it. Again, wasn't expecting that on a filet mignon....but delicious. I think if it wasn't for the buy one, get one free...we would have not come. I would say, this is a great first date place. Excellent decor and not that loud so you can talk. Our return visit would be based on the group we would be with....or another coupon. Last night a dear friend & I decided to catch up on some lost time & a nice dinner at Bonefish Grill. Neither one of us are drinkers so we skipped the cocktails & appetizers. We both decided on one of the specials of the night. Caribbean Cobia. The Cobia was grilled to perfection with 3 shrimp a top the fish. It came with a nice pineapple salsa . I decided to have the steamed broccoli & garlic mashed. My buddy opted on the sauté spinach & the mash. The meal was superb & we both ate everything on the plate. We both were full but couldn't resist the mouton chocolate lava cake. It came out in a bed of strawberries topped with whipped cream. I couldn't finish it being so big. I was in SC on vacation with friends, and over our week there had many great meals, but our experience at Bonefish Grill surpassed them all! The service was excellent with a friendly and attentive server. We had lots of questions about the menu while trying to select from so many great choices. The server was very helpful with information and guiding us to our choice. All three of us had great meals, finished with key lime cake that was delicious! The cocktails we had were really good and memorable. I usually get either fish and chips, bang bang tacos or the shrimp & scallop dinner. I ask for all scallops. This week I had scallops. They were good and plentiful. I couldn't finish my meal. Our daughter is a big fan of their Mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. Oh Bonefish, my favorite date night spot. How I wish you could be as loyal to us as we are to you. It's only been two weeks since our last visit. Tonight you left us hanging out to dry. Let me explain... we are greeted by Lindsay, we order drinks and dinner (we frequent so we know what we want). Hubby's Guinness is delivered. Bread is delivered. My salad is delivered. I mention that I haven't received my drink to the lady (not our waitress) that brought the salad. Lindsay came back to check on us, I asked for salt & pepper. OMGOSH! We have been here before and it's always good. We always get the Bang Bang Shrimp and yet again it did not disappoint! This time I was craving a burger. I've never never ever had their burgers but the Vintner's Burger sounded too good to pass up. So very glad I went that way! Super delicious!! I got the House Greens along with it and it was spinach in some light sauce. I so desperately wanted the pumpkin creme brûlée but my belly ran out of room. Our waitress was lackluster, not bring correct drinks and having to ask her to bring bread, then she didn't even stop back to check on our how our meals were. What a treat! I've passed by Bonefish numerous times, but always assumed that as a chain, that the food would be average. I was so wrong! Our first experience was extraordinary from beginning to end. We had the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer, which was great, my husband had a filet and I had crab cakes. All cooked to perfection, delivery of each course timed just right, and outstanding service. Another annual visit has left me, well, not nearly as enamored as I have been. Perhaps it was a off night with our servers, but they definitely didn't seem on their A-game last night. The first impression was that hosting staff seemed overly concerned with their seating charts and not the actual guests. I stood in front of the station for a good minute before even being acknowleged. And then when greeted, I did not have a warm welcome. Our server was, frankly, insincere. And normally, this would not be enough to tamper a meal's experience, but it did. He was vocally too loud and annoying--His vocal quality appeared one of a frustrated actor and I felt he was on a large stage projecting his voice at us. We barely put our salads (just the salads) in our mouths when the manager came over with his routine "how is everything here?" I wanted to say..."it's hard to tell when I've only had one bite of lettuce." Note to management: wait until we're actually eating entrees to ask that question. When our entrees were served, the presentation was lacking--on the plate all the food seemed crammed to one side. it felt like the server had held them at an angle and they slid on the plate, but then I noticed everyone's looked that way as they were arriving. Again, I've been a customer here since 2007, my experiences have always been outstanding here, but the detail to customer service, the food presentation and even food quality appears to have changed drastically. I got the Tuna and it was way undercooked and I had to send it back and the haphazard service really tainted my enjoyment of the food and restaurant. Super disappointing. The last time we brought the parents and a friend for early dinner and were not disappointed! Everything that our group ordered came out hot and tasty with fresh, tasty salads and appetizers. Yes the decor was nice, the ambiance golf-sheik, and the food palatable, albeit over priced as par for the beach, but overall all clean and inviting. What I did like was, the food was hot, semi-fair portioned, tasty and well presented. What I did not like was the tourists, the golfers, ( which tend to imbibe little much), and the outrageously expensive appetizers...ouch!!! You do realize the fish is NOT caught in our waters? Right you knew that? Most of it is frozen or bought or flown in from who knows where. That said, if you do want to eat fish and not at one of the tourist trap feeding basket buffets then but all means visit this establishment, after all the food is good but pricey for what you receive...Do Not order alcohol!!! This was the worse meal that I have eaten. My son and I went there for Christmas Eve and had 6:00 pm reservations. We didn't get seated until 7:00 pm. I explained to them that I was unable to set long due to recent surgery. They said we will seat you as soon as we can. My son ordered seared tuna which was dark and old. It also didn't smell good. I ordered fish tacos. When I looked for the fish, there wasn't any. I called the waiter over and his reply was they probably forgot to add the fish. And he was laughing, who does this. The manager cane over and we told her our issues. She just walked away and then returned and told us there was no more seared tuna and that's the was it is suppose to look. I got a photo of seared tuna on my phone and showed her. She said I'll give you something else. I said is it going to take another hour and 20 mins to get this? She again just walked away. The food was so gross and needless to say, we were both fighting to use the restroom the entire night. I've written to them on their website, and called and haven't gotten a return call since Dec 26.
