Bang bang shrimp
Loretta C.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and it was fantastic. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly. I had the Wednesday bang bang shrimp special. Yum!! And my husband had the soup and salad, which he loved. The bread was perfect with nice crunch and oil dip. We will need to get back to Bonefish soon. Restaurant was clean and seating comfortable.

Blackberry Sangria to start the meal

We didn't feel like cooking tonight and hadn't been to Bonefish in a while. The one we used to go to had closed. But there is still 2 others within 45 minutes from us. This one in Surfside, we hadn't visited before. This one was set up differently but still had the comfortable upscale environment we enjoy. Our server, Sarah was alot of fun and Kim hit it off with her right away. We started with our usual Blackberry sangria to prime the pump. Kim ordered the Signature pasta with shrimp and I had the Cod Imperial (see pics for description). She said her pasta was good, but had a little more "Heat" than she usually takes. But she is a hot spice lightweight! My stuffed cod was very good. I was accidentally served an extra serving of garlic mashed potatoes along with my rice instead of broccoli. Not a big deal , the broccoli came out a minute later so I loaded up with extra carbohydrates! My only negative was that the Jasmine rice was a bit undercooked. Some grains were actually a bit crunchy (everyone has bad days). Luckily I received the extra garlic mashed potatoes. Other than that, we like Bonefish and will come back to this location again.

The lunch menu was fantastic with big portion sizes! Could easily split a lunch meal with two people. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating.

Super amazing! Had the shrimp and grits the hostess was very sweet her name was "makenzi"! And server"ginger" was very nice definitely plan on making a future reservation with the family!

Reservations are not accepted, but you can add your name to the waitlist and receive a text when your table is ready. The restaurant has both an elevator and stairs for access. The second floor features a gift shop, the third floor offers air-conditioned dining, and the fourth floor is home to a rooftop bar. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the blackened mahi mahi platter. It came with asparagus (the smallest I've ever seen), and I substituted the grits for the Quay slaw, which was light, crisp, and refreshing. I also sampled my husband's she-crab soup and flounder bites, both of which were delicious. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. It was softer than versions I've had elsewhere, but rich in flavor without being overly decadent. Ripley was our server and did a fantastic job taking care of our party of 11. She kept our drinks refilled, checked on us regularly, and promptly cleared plates as we finished. The restaurant offers beautiful views overlooking Marlin Quay Marina, the Main Creek of Murrells Inlet, the surrounding saltwater marshes, and the Atlantic Ocean. We also spent some time on the rooftop, where a pleasant breeze and live music made for a relaxing atmosphere. It's easy to see why this establishment was named a 2025 Best of the Beach winner. Between the scenic views, welcoming ambiance, excellent food, and attentive service, it's well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

We went around 5:30 on a Sunday, got seated right away and were walking out by 6:30. That's rare for a good restaurant with a good view in summer. I'm sure it's not always like that, but we hit it just right. We would absolutely eat there again, even if there was a wait.

This is an open rooftop area in warmer months but with the clear panels and heaters above, it was great for February...look at that sky!!

This place is so good we came here twice and just know, I DON'T do that. When I'm in a new place I…read morewant to try it all. But The Claw House put up a good argument justifying both visits. Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.
