This was one of the few places which was open on July 4th. We had a dinner reservation just in case (party of 7). The restaurant was nice in terms of interior. We placed our drinks and order. The food was really good. Started with few drinks (parker margarita is a must try), couple of beers, Bang banh shrimp, crab cakes, salmon with sides - brussels sprouts. The bread and oil which they served was way too good. Could resist asking for more. The girl who served us was very polite but the guy who came to serve our drinks was little confused and sounded rude (at least that's how we all felt, wasn't sure if he wanted to sound rude). Hence the 4 stars on service. Otherwise overall good experience dining here.

Worst food and service in 10 years. Waiter was hopeless. Kitchen sent out lobster that looked like a rubber chicken. 2 steaks were significantly undercooked and had to be sent back. Table was never cleared of anything well after we were finished. Been coming here often since opened. Doubt we will ever come back.

Straight to the point. Not that great. I was really hyped about this place since all I heard was really good things about this place. To begin with wait time for drinks was about 10 min. Food was about 45 to an hour. One thing I will say is that the drinks were good! That I will give them. I ordered Filet miñon with Lobster tail with my steak well done. I got it rare really pink. It was a little too cold too. Lobster tail was good to that. Drink orders were mixed in between dinner with not all plates coming at the same time. They forgot one of my friends plate lol so he had to wait an extra minute. For my first time, it was not that great of an experience. Ambience is good , restaurant is really busy so that's a plus.

Complimentary warm bread with butter and pesto dipping oil. Corn chowder has potatoes and bacon.

Delicious every time. They have creative beverages and delicious food. Their happy hour is fantastic (see all pictures). They are not gluten-free friendly (zero substitutions) and you need to ask about dairy (if you have allergies) on items as they may not mention sauces in menu descriptions.

Myself with my son Nick enjoying his lunch during COVID-19 at his house in Pendleton, OR.

A Mixed Bag with Room for Improvement (2.5/5)…read more We visited Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar for lunch and left with mixed feelings. While a couple of items stood out for decent flavor, the overall experience, especially the service and value, didn't quite meet expectations for a mid-range bistro. What We Ordered: 1. Fried Calamari - Lightly crispy and seasoned well enough, but the portion was small for the ~$20 price tag. The artichokes and pickled onions on the side were a nice touch and helped round out the dish. 2. Avocado Toast - Served as four half-slices of toast with a thin spread of avocado--decent, but underwhelming. The scrambled eggs were passable but felt commercial. The arugula salad on the side was overdressed and heavy on cheese, likely gorgonzola. 3. Steak Salad - The steak cubes were overcooked and arrived cold, which was the biggest disappointment. Though the salad greens were fresh and plentiful, the dish was heavy on cashews, and the cheese flavor was intense. 4. Breakfast Burrito with Fries - I didn't try this personally, but our friend said it was not memorable. The fries looked average--crispy but nothing special. ‍ Service: Service was polite but lacked attentiveness. After being seated, we waited about 10-15 minutes to receive a drink order. Only two glasses were brought out for three people, and when our appetizer arrived, no utensils were provided. We had to request basics that should have been automatically offered. We did appreciate the server accommodating our request to change tables for better sun however. Ambience: The interior had a retro-upscale family restaurant vibe--maybe reminiscent of a 1990s aesthetic. Some might find the design nostalgic, though it felt a little dated to us. The lighting fixtures were interesting and varied in design, which added a little flair. Pricing falls into the $30-40 range per person with an appetizer, so expectations were naturally higher. Final Thoughts: Twigs Bistro has potential, but inconsistencies in food quality, small portions for the price, and inattentive service made the visit less than ideal. While we enjoyed some elements like the calamari and fresh greens, it's not a place we'd prioritize returning to--especially given the number of great dining options in the area.

My wife felt the glass and it was warm. She asked if he could just shake it with ice to make it cold and he did, but also re-touched all of the olives with his bare hands to put back into the martini, and then served it with two straws. All the while he kept running his hands through his hair... my wife never touched the martini, we paid and left. He was a super nice guy but he should know better etiquette when working as the bartender of a nice hotel bar and for sure should know how to make a martini as its a staple drink. Very disappointed with our visit, unfortunately.

After ordering, our drinks were brought out, but the food still wasn't at the table at 6:45. We asked for crayons so the children could color, but they were not forthcoming. I got up after 20 minutes to get the crayons myself. I ran into the waitress and reminded her that we needed crayons. She went and got them. We talked about leaving and paying for our drinks. The waitress came and told us there was a "glitch in the system and our ticket didn't print." That was an explanation without meaning. Our food began to arrive in pieces. It took another 15 minutes for everyone at the table (4 adults and 2 children) to get their food. Someone in management came out and comped my daughter's appetizer. Upon paying the bill, there was an automatic 18% tip added to the bill. We are good tippers and would have left at least that much (not because the service was good and not because we loved the food.) It wasn't the money I objected to, it was taking my right to determine what we would leave as a TIP (to insure promptness). It really ate at me. I called the restaurant where a women answered and told me the manager was too busy to speak to me, but she would have him call me back if I told her my problem. She became snippy and rude as I explained my issue. Later, she called back and in the same short and irritated way told me that the manager wouldn't talk to me, but they would return the tip to my credit card. I told her that was not the goal I had in mind. I wanted to let the owner/manager know that I don't like the policy of adding a tip without consent. She told me the policy was printed on the menu (I guess I was looking for food and missed the legal ease.) I suggested that the policy should be on a sign as you enter the restaurant so that people don't feel violated when you assign them an amount to leave the staff. She said, "So, do you want the refund?" I said, "yes", which kind of surprised me, but her attitude sent me over the edge. I provided my credit card information and will NEVER return to this restaurant!
