I just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone how good Dickeys can be! My hubby, two kiddos and I went to the Queensgate location today for lunch and the gal working the counter was so sweet & made our experience even better. Food was excellent. Clean atmosphere. Overall wonderful experience! Kids eat free on Sundays under 12! Only two things I'd recommend for owner is havin front doors leveled so they are easier to open. Alarms from cooking sides shouldn't beep more than 3 times from the time it starts. It was the only thing that disturbed our lunch! Will be back again to see in a few weeks how it is! read more

The service was awesome. Happy and joking around with us. The seating area was clean and all the towel rolls were full. The food however was pretty average. Everything was cooked very well. But not hot. Not even hot enough to melt cheese, even partially melted. The onions were huge slices instead of diced and not sautéed. The ribs fell off the bone but did not have the silver-skin removed so one side was super hard to chew. The mac n cheese seemed like it was more like stouffers than made from scratch. Realistically i do not who opened first....but this place is trying way too hard to be like Porters. And if you want delicious BBQ, I will make the drive to Porters. The nastiest of all nasty! First of all, we ordered via a delivery service & they were great. We opened our bag to discover they forgot a side. Ok, not the end of the world. Opened one container and the turkey was pink & iridescent- clearly not fully cooked. Our next mistake was to order dessert. The pecan pie was this measly little thing that was so old this layer of slime had congealed on it. I used to go to Dickeys before they closed down. I thought I would try the place again and get a lunch special. I Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 and there was 1 table occupied. So basically nobody was there. I noticed that the lunch specials had all gone up in price from before (what's new) and it was rib day. I never had good luck with their ribs. Too small and dry for me. It was $13.50 for 3 ribs, a side and drink. So, I skipped that and decided on a pulled pork sandwich. When I entered someone from the back had shouted, "I'll be with you in a minute". So I waited, decided what to order, and wait, and waited. I could hear folks talking in the back but they never showed up to take my order. Hmmm. Ordered BBQ chicken and sliced brisket with M&C and BBQ beans. I give them one star since they have unlimited UNsweetened iced tea and one star for timely service. The BBQ chicken breast came skinless with nothing else on it. The sliced brisket was sliced to the half way point but not beyond. Figured out fast it was because it was a giant pile of gristle!!! Un-cutable with the plastic silverware provided. I wasn't going to eat it anyway with all the fatty gristle. The buttered roll was rock hard. The BBQ beans were good. Ice cream is ice milk and I threw it away too. $16.06 total- won't bother going back. Other folks might like it, I didn't. read more

I decided to treat my family to some yummy bbq on a Friday night. I placed an order to be picked up. These pork "ribs" were the driest, smallest, carton of beef jerky I have ever purchased for $27.00. I ordered a full rack of ribs and honestly thought they shorted me on the order when they gave me a small box. I understand the portion might be small, but the fact they were so dried out made it worse. Go to Porters. At least there you know the food will be good. read more

I was blown away by the customer service and quality of food that Dickies BBQ served that day. I had a large order for a graduation party and fed quite a lot of folks (obviously we practiced social distancing). I ordered multiple pounds of briquet and pulled pork with all the sides and my guests full and happy. I had left overs and they were almost as good as the first run. Pretty good, it's getting bumped by a star because this is my husband's favorite BBQ spot (yes even over you know where, weirdo). We always get a 3 meat plate and take the extra home for lunch. The meats are all pretty good except the texture of the turkey always seems weird. Chicken can be hit or miss but chicken is easy to dry out. Well and sometimes the ribs dry out. The sides - ack. I love the tanglers but oh the heartburn so I don't order them anymore. The potato casserole is the only staple side item that seems to have stayed more or less the same recipe and yummy. Everything else seems to go through a constant evolution. The potato salad used to be dill based, now it's mustard based. The baked beans used to be good, now they taste like they are doused in brown sugar. Mac and cheese is too processed tasting. Hubby likes the green beans. The new good: they now offer cornbread or Texas Toast instead of a roll and they started putting onion and pickles on your tray again! Yes. Super frustrating GrubHub order. We ordered Dickey's 80th Anniversary Combo (see description In photo below) and a loaded Baker with meat, as well as an extra brownie (chocolate with snickers). Waffle fries, and barbecue sauce. We were missing a brownie, the Cole slaw (both of which were part of the anniversary meal), and the barbecue sauce. The potato did not include butter, cheese, or bacon as ordered. When we called, they said we had to come in because they could not bring it to us nor could they refund our money. We live outside of town, and the trip back in is about 30 miles round trip. The manager (?) we spoke to, Misty, while apologetic and promising "extras" to make it worth our while, did not come through. She wouldn't give us the right brownie that was included with the meal, but instead gave us extra of the blonde brownie, our cole slaw, an extra personal serving of baked beans, and still no barbecue sauce. I would think you would want to make the order right, check the description, and make sure the customer is taken care of. We are regular customers, but this time they really blew it. read more

Hubby and I stopped by for a quick lunch at the Richland, Wa Dickeys. After looking at the menu and app we decided to walk in to order because it would be quicker. On the app, our order came to $24 something. Inside the restaurant, the exact same order came to $33 something. When I asked about the difference, the manager just said it was the app and corporates fault. No offer of a refund or free food. After I said we wouldn't eat there again, he finally said something about a discount if we came back but he didn't ask our names or numbers. Grrr. read more

The BBQ meat is actually really good. Both my friend & I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with two sides. I got mac & cheese & coleslaw. Now, if I was grading on sides-it would be a 3. They were just ok. My friend got fried okra & waffle fries. Surprisingly, although frozen to fried-the okra was pretty good. Other than that-just stick to the meats. Service was nice & fast & the place was decently clean. The aroma in the establishment was pretty enticing & the free do it yourself ice cream was fun. I would definitely go back for that brisket sandwich but skip the sides. read more

Dickey's is a chain and I don't think people realize it's fast food BBQ. That being said, it's pretty dang good fast food. What I love about Dickey's~ well they have fried okra and that deserves a star all of its own! Next they offer kids eat free on Sundays (with the purchase of an adult meal). Their spicy cheesy kielbasa is legit. Onions are the best here. You get free soft serve ice cream cones afterwards. What's just ok~ They do often run out of meats (this is chain wide as it's happened to me at other locations). Their meats can be cold or too dry at times. When the brisket is on it's ON but when it's dry it sucks. Customer service has always been stellar and stores are clean. read more

So I order a turkey dinner for thanksgiving , the first time I called they asked me what I want it and I clearly stated I want it the smoked turkey ! Then the next day the manager calls me again asking what about wanted to order and I clearly said I wanted the smoke turkey for the 2nd time . Then he calls the 3rd time that I had to pay now and tell them a time for pick up and he asked me again what I wanted again for my order I said the smoked turkey ! So the day before thanksgiving we go pick up our order , they forgot our pumpkin pie and we had to go back . Now the day of thanksgiving when i open what it thought was turkey it was Ham instead ! Now I don't eat pig and that's not even the case I order a turkey for a reason obviously "thanksgiving " and that's what I pay for , now there's no fricken way to call them because they are closed , I had family over and no turkey ! Basically my whole thanksgiving was ruin ! The next day I come to the place to talk to the manager about this issue , I tell the manager about it and he tells me he can refund only for the ham ! And he tells me well at least I got the sides ! Like are you dumb the whole thing about a thanksgiving dinner is to have our turkey , i didn't order a side dinner! Basically the whole point is who acts this way and thinks it's ok to think we going to accept this and not get out full refund ! This place deserves 0 stars sadly I have to put 1 to put a review on this nasty place ! Meh. I had the ribs with Mac and cheese and fried okra, the wife had a brisket sandwich with fried onions and "baked potato casserole" (aka mashed potatoes). Both our meats were cold, but tender at least; seasoning was lacking as well. My mac and cheese was also pretty cold, the sides tasted like they were obviously sent to the restaurant frozen in bags, then thawed and either boiled or microwaved. But it is a chain, so what can you really expect. If you're looking for good BBQ, go to Porter's in the parkade in Richland. But get there early, they sell out quick (which is the mark of good BBQ)! So yea, overall, meh. Not horrible, but not great. Meh. read more
