The vibe is this surprisingly great mix of Italian restaurant and sports bar - TVs with sports playing, full bar, but still serving legit, "worth-the-carbs" Italian food. Service was dialed in all night, too. Attentive without hovering, and our drinks never even thought about getting empty. We ordered the Fettuccini La Bella, Lasagna Campania, and garlic cheesy bread. Everything was delicious and served faster than expected - A PLUS. Great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe that makes it way too easy to stay longer than planned. Just pace yourself on the carbs (or don't, I didn't).

Everyone ordered a side salad, which was served with crisp lettuce mix, red onion, craisins, tomato, and the deadly cucumbers. The ranch dressing I had was creamy and smooth and very good. For dinner we had the Siciliana pizza, lasagna, the chicken wrap, and a create your own pizza with tomatoes, bell pepper, chicken, and a red sauce. Everyone in our party was quite pleased with what they ordered. I especially enjoyed my sausage, grilled onion, and cheese of my thin crust pizza. It was gooey and melted and just the way a pizza should be. The serving sizes were ample, and several take-home boxes were needed. Our server was fabulous. She came around just when needed and did not linger or interfere with our conversations. When the restaurant gets full, it can get quite noisy, but we were still able to hold our conversations and enjoy our evening. All in all, we had a lovely evening with satisfying and tasty meal selections alongside good company.

The Miyazaki was just whiskey and soda water. It seemed like the other ingredients were missing. Hard to drink. The waifu was obviously missing the Thai basil. It was still good though. We got the edamame, veggie rolls...with chicken, and the chicken satay. The edamame was good, except just the top layer had salt, with a pool of water on the bottom ones. Weird sauce with it. Maybe a thick peanut sauce? The veggie rolls were as such. 5% chicken 90% lettuce. The chicken satay was very excellent. Both sauces provided were very yummy. The szechuan beef came out like an Asian fajita plate. It was good, except unreasonably spicy. The server was rude to me several times. For no reason. I'm a pleasant man! He complemented the lady on her dress, said mine was not nice and handed her the bill at the end. This is despite me ordering everything for us and also going to ask him (at the bar) for additional silverware and napkins. The table next to us had to go ask him for additional water. Which he provided a pitcher for them to pour themselves. You decide. Anyways. The atmosphere was cool. However, the other reviews are correct. If you closed your eyes, you'd be at a rave. The food was a solid 4, good taste and portion size, while the service was a bit lacking at the beginning. Came in a weekday for a late lunch. A few other groups already there. We sat in between two other groups, would have liked a bit of space. We were asked about our order immediately upon sitting, but then had a gap for maybe 6 min before we were asked again. Not sure if we were giving off a vibe, but we did look around a bit for the server. After ordering the food came out quick and was plated nicely. I was very satisfied with the Grilled Shrimp bowl. It looks deceptively small, but there is some depth to it and the hearty rice and beans are underneath. The flavors came together well, the salsa and pico, roasted corn, the grilled shrimp themselves, and some creaminess from the beans, just all around solid and would get again. The guacamole seemed like an afterthought, although it may have partially tempered heat from the salsa (but the creams and beans were doing this too). My other party members enjoyed their Guava Lemonaide, Enchiladas Verdes, and Carnitas Bowl. We finished our food and stayed at the table to chat, until we were ready to leave. Staff thanked us for coming.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and on point throughout the visit. Service felt polished and welcoming. I ordered the Cadillac Margarita and it was excellent. Smooth, well balanced, and easily one of the highlights of the night. The atmosphere also leans toward a higher end cantina feel. Warm lighting, nice decor, and a space that feels like it wants to be elevated. Then there is the food. Instead of the usual chips and salsa, they brought out fried Mexican wheat crisps. They were fine, but they felt more like something you would grab at a Hispanic flea market than something you expect at an upscale cantina. Not bad, just unexpected, and a little confusing given the setting. We ordered the flautas and those were genuinely delicious. Crispy, flavorful, and paired with a generous portion of guacamole that really worked. No complaints there. The pozole pappardelle had good flavor, but calling it pozole based felt like a stretch. It tasted good, but it did not really hit the mark of what you expect from pozole. The amount of chicken was also pretty light, especially for a $28 dish. At that price point, you expect a more generous portion, and it just was not there. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was very good. That said, it tasted different from the last time she visited. Not necessarily worse, just different. That suggests to me that there may be some variation depending on the day, but the flavors were still solid. Overall, Perch feels like it is caught in a bit of a food limbo. The atmosphere suggests a higher end experience, but the limited menu and some of the food choices do not fully match that vibe. It is not bad, and there are definitely things done well, but it does not quite come together as a complete experience. I would go back for drinks and happy hour, but I am still undecided if it fully delivers on what it is trying to be.
