The Miyazaki was just whiskey and soda water. It seemed like the other ingredients were missing. Hard to drink. The waifu was obviously missing the Thai basil. It was still good though. We got the edamame, veggie rolls...with chicken, and the chicken satay. The edamame was good, except just the top layer had salt, with a pool of water on the bottom ones. Weird sauce with it. Maybe a thick peanut sauce? The veggie rolls were as such. 5% chicken 90% lettuce. The chicken satay was very excellent. Both sauces provided were very yummy. The szechuan beef came out like an Asian fajita plate. It was good, except unreasonably spicy. The server was rude to me several times. For no reason. I'm a pleasant man! He complemented the lady on her dress, said mine was not nice and handed her the bill at the end. This is despite me ordering everything for us and also going to ask him (at the bar) for additional silverware and napkins. The table next to us had to go ask him for additional water. Service was incredibly slow, but the lack of communication is what really turned this into such a disappointing experience. We placed a pickup order and waited about 40 minutes without anyone checking on us or providing an update. Since we were short on time, I finally went to the server at the bar and asked if she knew how much longer it might be. She guessed it could be another 15-20 minutes but admitted she hadn't actually checked with the cook. I asked if she could please confirm the status, and she said she would. Instead, nearly 10 minutes passed while she remained at the bar chatting and laughing with the bartender, and we still received no update. At that point, we decided to leave and walked to Foodies to place an order instead. As we were almost to the entrance, the owner or manager from Soi came outside and yelled down the street asking if we were going to pay for our food. Had anyone checked on us during the 40+ minutes we waited or communicated the status of our order, we would have happily stayed and paid when the food was ready. What made the situation even stranger was that she then followed us to Foodies, came inside after we'd placed our order, and waited there until we received our food and left. It was honestly one of the most bizarre customer service experiences I've ever had. We're big supporters of local small businesses, which makes this even more disappointing. Soi 705 is a welcomed addition to The Park Way! I ran into this spot on a random whim with some buddies. What caught my eye at first was their Highball Cocktails, but once I tried the food I was an instant loyalist. Over the years the restaurant has grown a bunch with menu updates, interior design, and live music events for the community. Jo, the manager and mixologist for this establishment, has a passion for her craft and well as the family operation that you can taste in eat sip and bite. I really can't speak much higher about the welcomeness, hospitality, and quality. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could! read more

My family of four decided to try a new restaurant this past Sunday afternoon and came across Soi 705. Based on the reviews, I was expecting excellent food and friendly service. Unfortunately, the reality was disappointing. The service was lackluster, and our waitress, in particular was rude and dismissive. The atmosphere also felt more like a nightclub--dark and dirty. rather than a welcoming place for a casual meal. We ordered the baozi bunz, which turned out to be just one bun cut in half. While flavorful, $3.50 for essentially half a bun feels overpriced. I also tried their "pink drink," which was underwhelming at best. On the positive side, the food did take a bit of time to arrive, which suggests it was prepared to order and fresh. However, the overall experience fell short. The bill came to $150 for four people, and that was with two of us only having water. Between the steep prices, mediocre food and drinks, and poor service, I don't see myself returning. The rude service, in particular, sealed my decision. I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

Was a 1000% raving lunatic of a fan until this year- hoping they make a turn around. Last few visits the menus have been gross (filthy/sticky), food was overcooked, portions shrank, and waitstaff forgot to tend their tables. Had to call them over to place orders, follow up on requests, and remind them to get our ticket, and no, it wasn't busy. Most of the food was still good- a novice wouldn't notice a difference in quality. Atmosphere is still fun and the cocktail menu is fun to read through. Pictures in my review were from my smashing review from a year ago when I was in love with the place and the portions, service, and quality were outstanding. 5 stars hands down then... Ever had one of those dining experiences where you're excited to get there and it just goes downhill AND keeps going downhill until you walk... no, run out of there? This was my experience. The appetizer named Holiday in Cambodia was in my opinion pretty good. A nice sweetness, a bit of tanginess, accents of ginger and pine nuts... not bad. However, everything else was absolutely unacceptable and to add insult to injury it took well over 1 hour to get our food (Yakisoba noodles and an entree salad). Iced tea was nothing better than tinted water. The ice water had something resembling an oily film floating on the surface of my wife's glass. Spice levels were wrong and not to the request. I can go on and should, but this review isn't worth it because I have a gut feeling about this place. I believe that the kitchen and wait staff are either bored, emotionally bankrupt, exhausted or have simply lost all sense of passion for this restaurant. If I am right, please give it up and close because Richland and its community deserve far better. If I am wrong, do better for the next person to come in. Do a whole lot better. Walk in from the boardwalk and feels like you walked outside with it's unique street indoor decor. Lunch was quiet, like too quiet with no music. Oddly the initial interest in this spot was because of all the music advertising. Interesting menu but many were not available at the time. There are many things to love about Soi 705, and on average I'm sure they've earned their high rating. Unfortunately, they got my takeout order wrong, so I can't go with more stars based on my personal experience. The great: Service here is super nice. My order wasn't ready when I arrived, so I had a seat over on the side. The staff member who was checking on my order brought me a glass of water, a kindness I appreciated very much. The place definitely has a happy vibe, and it seems like a fun place to eat in. The just good: I called in an order of Pad Thai with tofu to go. They asked if egg and fish sauce were okay, so they're definitely looking after vegans. I said yes, they were okay. After picking up my order and walking it back to a park to eat, I opened it to find no tofu and just one piece of egg in the dish. I was super bummed because I really needed some protein. On the plus side, there were lots of veggies: broccoli, carrots, and cabbage, all cooked very nicely. The flavor of the noodles was also very good, with the tamarind tang I love in Pad Thai. So it definitely was a tasty dish, just not what I wanted. I'd definitely go back and give them another try if I get out to the area again. Pleasant surprise near the Richlands Farmers Market! Stumbled into this restaurant for the first time while visiting the farmers market, and it was such a refreshing break from the heat. The space inside was cool, clean, and had a really nice ambiance. We started with the vegetable rolls absolutely delicious and super fresh. For mains, we had the mango fried rice and Dan noodz. The mango fried rice was a standout flavorful and perfectly balanced. The Dan noodz were just okay for me, not quite my favorite, but still decent. I'll go with Meh for my one and only visit. Had an early lunch today and was the only customer there. Ordered the curry chicken fried rice. It was disappointing and rather lacking in flavor. When I explained this to the server, I was expecting to be asked if I wanted to try something else. But no. I was offered soy sauce and a chili fish sauce which helped provide some flavor but then the curry flavor was totally lost. On the plus side, I was given a 10% discount but would rather have tried something else and maybe then I could write something more positive. I want to love this place because the drinks are fantastic and the vibe inside is very cool. It feels like a nice little lounge. After 3 attempts I can confidently say that this place is not great. 1. The service is very slow. We were informed that there was a reservation coming in so we needed to leave our table by a certain time. They did not expedite our drinks or food in a timely manner to accommodate their scheduled reservation. 2. They do not offer compensation for mistakes or being out of things. We had 4 different items that were "out of stock". They did not offer anything for the inconvenience that their establishment was lacking. I don't need anything comped but a good restaurant knows their mistakes and downfalls and at least takes an unwanted beverage that a customer has to settle for off of the tab. 3. The management really didn't care that the service was bad. She basically said "yeah, sorry" about all of the issues we had. 4. The food wasn't good. Pad Thai does not have flavor. Boa bunz had way too much bread. Potstickers were decent. But at the price point, they should really offer better quality of food and service. I hate to rag on a local place but I also want people to know what their money goes to. We had an over $200 bill and to not be happy with it is very disappointing. Go with caution. read more

The food quality is very good, sometimes amazing, but it varies on who is cooking that evening. However, the price is very high for what you get. The ambiance is great and I highly recommend going there and spending sometime looking and soaking it in. The service is a problem. While they are very busy, and understandably so, the British bartender (?) acts as if she cannot be bothered. The guy who works there (maybe the owner's son) is sullen and barely acknowledges your presence. Other employees seem to always be new. The one nice and competent person seems to be the manager. She is often the only person who seems to know what is going on in the restaurant. The website is horrible. It is garish with very little obvious design to help customers. Their web presence announces new menus available on their site, but they do not appear there. The only way to figure out the current menu is to go to the restaurant in person. Asking on the phone would be, at best, a crap-shoot. Overall, go there for the food and ambiance, but expect a long wait, very little help, a large bill, and undeserved attitudes from most of the staff. read more

The noodles were like Top Ramen noodles, the egg was just a basic hard-boiled egg, not marinaded like they should be. The veggies were soggy, and the beef was way too salty and tough.
