Went to Lu Lu's for the first time and had an amazing experience with a friend. Seared Halibut with Risotto: The halibut was very good! It was easy to cut through (falls apart easily). The squash with it is fresh! I loved the creamy texture of the risotto. I haven't had halibut in many years! I loved the 3 dips with the house-made potato crisps. My favorite dip was the smoked steelhead. The crisps are very crunchy! Baked Feta Cheese w/ Honey Drizzle: The scone like pastries are really good! Super fluffy texture. Add the feta on top then an olive on the cheese, and take a bite! The warm pastry with the creamy sweet honey feta cheese and savory olive blends so well together. It's an amazing sharable appetizer and I highly recommend it. Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream: The rich flavors of the pie are delicious! The apples are cooked perfectly and not too crunchy or mushy. The cinnamon isn't over powering the whole pie, but enough to know that it's there. My friend loves apple pie and rated it a 10 out of 10! The vanilla ice cream tasted good, but if you have ice cream outside on the patio be sure to eat it before it melts. It was 98 degrees. The hostess at the front when I walked in is so welcoming! The food was served at a good pace. Definitely a place worth visiting. read more

Underwhelmed, again. Got the prime rib special, wife got the tortellini. Mine was 50/50 fat, the horseradish side was mostly mayo with zero bite. Both of us got sick when we got home, maybe it was the grilled zucchini that was common to both dishes. Don't know, won't be going back to find out. Five visits so far, four were meh at best. My husband and I went here on a Wednesday night. We stayed in town while we were driving home from visiting family. I was honestly highly disappointed. We tried coming on Friday 8/21 but you have to book a reservation so decided to hit this place on the way back...should have went elsewhere. For how highly rated and recommended this place was...I wish we would have spent our money somewhere else. I ordered the shrimp risotto which was excellent but my husband ordered the fish and chips. My food arrived hot but his arrived cold. We told the server and she had the kitchen remake it but it took awhile and I had practically finished my food when his arrived and the fries were still look warm. The food itself was just okay. The tortellini with shrimp was amazing- the shrimp had the best texture I've ever tasted for it. Besides a few overpriced appetizers, food was great. Said appetizer warnings- do not order the candied bacon!! It is just bacon with sugar on it. Very highly priced for only a few pieces. Then, after we sat down (inside), we were bothered by flies the entire time. Second impressions mean a lot as well. Anyway we ordered the Green Chili Burger, the Halibut 2 PC Fish + Chips, and a Farmstand Salad + shrimp. The green chili burger was very good, served with a roasted poblano Chile pepper. The halibut was delicious, flaky and served hot. Our friendly waitress, Paige, went out of her way to make some cocktail sauce, because they don't have any; it was perfect! The salad was also very good, and had five good sides to shrimp added. The interior is nice, simple and elegant. We really enjoyed our visit to LU LU Craft bar & kitchen this past Friday, while visiting the Tri-Cities. The service was really good, greeted immediately, they found our reservation, got to our table, our server was at our table very shortly thereafter. The place was not that busy when we got there, but it definitely picked up with some really large groups dropping in. Friday night at the river! We all chose something different on the menu from the burger, the fish and chips and one of the salads. Everything was prepared very well, and we really enjoyed it. As expected, a beautiful spot for a restaurant and it only got better. The Thai Steak and Noodle was phenomenal. Located right by the riverside with beautiful views, which is definitely the highlight of this place. Unfortunately, the food took quite a while to arrive after ordering. The restaurant gets very crowded on weekends, and overall, I wouldn't specifically recommend it unless you're curious to try it for yourself. read more

I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Coleslaw. I wish I had gotten pictures because this is the Best Coleslaw and Chicken Sandwich I've ever had. The brined and battered chicken breast was oversized for the bun - not a bad thing- with avocado, bacon, pickled jalapeños and coleslaw. The flavor profile was not too spicy, but spicy enough with the perfectly, slightly sweet bun and acid hit from the fresh, crisp coleslaw. I wouldn't change a thing. We came here to celebrate my friend IM 70.3 finish post race in TriCities. Lulu Craft Bar + Kitchen. It for the most part basic all American menu with burgers and steaks and seafood. Little of everything. The best part is the location right along the river off the trail path runs for miles along the river. The view is real nice and great spot if in the patio during the race see everyone coming home to the finish line. I ended up getting green chili burger and fries. Tasty. The burger was cooked perfect, loved the combination of the green chili the cheese and all worked. It nice hearty burger so getting bang for ur buck. Fries were good. Service was five stars. During the summer months, the back patio is an ideal place to enjoy shareable bites, cool libations, and ocassional people watching. I don't normally like gin, but The Rose cocktail was refreshing, fragrant, and light. The veggies, feta, and hummus platter was large and filling, and even four of us couldn't finish it. I come to the Tri-Cities about twice a year for business and LuLu is a place a have to stop at each time I come. After 4 years of coming and talking with the local bartenders and how they need to add 805 beer to the local tap, I was Surprised and super HAPPY to see they have added it which is a local beer for me back in Central CA and probably the best beer you'll ever drink hands down. I ended up coming here twice in the two days I was here for business just because they have 805 and also..........good food hehe. I like to order the chips with three sides of guacamole and this time around I decided to go ribeye with some shrimp. Food is also cooked on point and the portion sizes are exactly what you expect and then some for what you pay. Quality is always great and the service keeps the flow going without skipping a beat. Sitting in the bar is fun as the bartenders are always friendly and talkative if you want them to be and always make a great mixed drink recommendations that seems to change perfectly throughout the week from the bartenders whim. Food 2/5- appetizers were good, but the mains were really under whelming. For the chicken and waffles, the chicken was dry and didn't have flavor. We've occasionally go to Lu Lu's for dinner and for the most part really enjoy it. This time we were a bit disappointed in the food. For appetizers we tried the Chicken Pops which were the best part of the meal. I had a Burger which was tasty, but the fries were barely warm and appeared to be scraped off the bottom of the tray-- a lot of small pieces. My girlfriend got the Garlic Shrimp Risotto dish. She was disappointed and felt that for the price, it wasn't up to par. It The Risotto was a bit too overdone and mushy. My star ratings are based on value for price so even a low cost restaurant might get high stars. In this case, the $87 dollars for the two meals (tip included), the value wasn't there. That said, the service was great and the general vibe of the place is always great. I think Hamburgers and Salads are probably the best bet. The location next to the marina makes it a desirable place to hang out, and yes, we'll go back, but will be a bit more careful about how & what we order. When we do I'll update. read more
