Hyde Tap and Lounge has officially become my favorite spot in the Tri-Cities. Tonight we had the shrimp, artichoke dip, wings, pasta, and a dessert...and every single dish was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared from start to finish. What really sets Hyde apart, though, is the service. It wasn't just good...it was exceptional. The attention to detail felt personalized and customized, and the staff (Alex) made the entire experience feel special. That level of hospitality is hard to find. Between the amazing food, incredible atmosphere, and top-tier service, I can honestly say this is the BEST place in the Tri-Cities right now. Great place for a date night. Cool restaurant with plenty of drink options. Tried the poutine and the Pow Pow Shrimp, and it was delicious. They've also got a good selection of drinks, beers, and wine. Kudos to the great service, too. From first appearance on the outside and then upon entering, this was our kind of place. The casual yet upscale decor is relaxing and welcoming. We were greeted warmly, seated in a comfortable spot and cared for so nicely. The menu items all sounded amazing, but we settled on a couple burgers and oh my, they were outstanding. Admittedly, a bit of a fry snob, I can honestly say they are delicious and the sauce selection for fries includes both classic and funky options, we loved them! Visited Hyde Tap and Lounge on a Thursday night. Customer Service: We were greeted right away and seated at a table in the bar area. I'm not sure why the host didn't ask if we preferred dining room or bar seating, but we later moved to a booth in the dining area. Our server was very friendly and professional, consistently checking in to make sure we were doing well. Food: We ordered the salmon with risotto and a side of sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the salmon was extremely salty, and the risotto was undercooked and still quite hard. The sweet potato fries were also over-fried. Overall, the food we had was underwhelming. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful and modern. It seems like a great spot to hang out or go on a date. Based on the food quality, I'd recommend it more for drinks than for food. read more

Came for an after-dinner desserts and drinks. Hyde has slightly dark lighting and feels like a lounge, where we could sit and chat until they closed down about 11 PM. Service was initially prompt and frequent, but during the second half of the night I wanted to flag the staff to order another drink and I had trouble finding the waitress. For food we got the beignets from the dessert menu. This was a 10-piece of puffy square doughnuts with a sprinkling of powdered sugar, and came with two dipping sauces. I liked the size of the beignets, it was perfect for a single bite but enough surface area to get sufficient sauce. The caramel sauce is thicker and sweeter, and I preferred the cream sauce. I thought the dairy and lighter sweetness paired well with the light and fluffy and already sweet beignets. I first checked out the cocktail menu and selected the Rom Com Ricky. With gin, lime, St Germaine, soda, and their in house BBB Syrup. The syrup is made from Balsamic, Butter, and Black Pepper, and was an easy to sip and refreshing drink. The BBB was the top line taste, with the balsamic bringing a slight acidity and the pepper contributing slightly to aroma and then some extra zing on the back of the tongue. The lime also contributed acidity and some tartness, an acceptable pairing with the BBB. I enjoy the terpines from Gin but could not detect them here, so a neutral spirit like vodka could have been swapped and it would not have changed my drinking experience. I was still thirsty, considered other cocktails but was entranced by the tap list. The on-tap list is sizeable and has a lot of international variety. Many options caught me eye, and the waitress was able to answer questions and also let me sample a few before making a decision. I selected the 14. Varietal Mango Bazango Tropical Wheat, it had an aroma of mango and drank like a typical light wheat beer. I could easily have had two or three in a sitting, it was refreshing and easily shippable. I also tried the 28. Bale Breaker Mango Summer Ale. I found the aroma of mango to be even stronger, yet it too had a muted mango taste while drinking. The bitterness was higher than then Tropical Wheat, which the menu lists as an IBU of 30. I could certainly see how a bitterness balanced with sweetness from mango would be a great and refreshing drink during a warm summer. Lastly I tried the 41. Winsome Ciderworks Asian Pear Cider. Strong pear aroma on top of a moderately sweet cider. I prefer my ciders a bit less sweet / more dry, but I liked the pear aroma. Looking at the menu I should have tried the 42. Tieton Cranberry Cider since the tartness of cranberry could have balanced the sweetness of apples. Guess I will just have to return for more drinks and try out more of the food menu too. read more

Extremely disappointed with our experience at this place. I was charged $80 for a single shot of 818 Reserve without the waitress ever clearly disclosing the price beforehand. At no point was I told the cost, which feels very misleading and completely lacking transparency. Prices like that should always be communicated upfront so customers know exactly what they're agreeing to. The lack of communication and honesty really ruined the experience. No one wants to feel surprised or taken advantage of when they receive their bill, especially for something as simple as a single shot. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not what I expect from any establishment. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Service was friendly. Restaurant was clean however they had put rugs down... wherever there wasn't a rug was very slippery. Not sure what was on the floors but my shoes did not have any traction. Food was excellent with the note that the items we are claiming to be spicy were not. They were super flavorful and delicious, including the pow pow shrimp and which Thai salad. I'll be honest, this probably was some of the worst service I've ever had. But because this is gonna be a food base review, I will only deduct one star from the service portion. I didn't order a bunch of things here. I just had the chorizo nachos and those fell flat on its face. The chorizo was cold and there wasn't even much of it. It just taste really bad and the fact that it was $20 makes it worse. I feel as if the true value of those nachos are maybe seven dollars. Also, I forgot that I asked for no jalapeños and no onions and both of them were in the nachos. I walk into the restaurant no one's out front and I go up to the bar to place an order and the lady is just looking at me as if I'm an intruder . There is a saying, a good steak doesn't need any sauce and I can say that was a fact with the ribeye I ordered. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife got the chicken pasta and wow was the sauce creamy and rich with flavor. Hands down the best place to eat in the tri -Cities, I can't wait to come back and try everything else. I feel like this place is trying to be fancier than it needs to be. Blue cheese burger was decent. Fries were OK tasting but soggy for my liking. The Wagyu was not worth it at all. This restaurant is amazing. I think it's the best meal I've ever had in the tri cities! I got the "mom drink" it tasted like a strawberries and cream lifesaver and it had a good amount of alcohol in it! I didn't taste it, but I felt it! And the grilled cheese was out of this world. My friend got the spicy chicken Thai salad and she said it was delicious. My son got the kids meal cheeseburger-they out lettuce and tomato on it free of charge and he ate ALL of it. He is 5! And it was huge. It looked like an adult meal. The rosemary Parmesan fries are totally worth the $2 upgrade. They were so good! Catherine was our server and she was very charismatic and attentive. Open ceiling, lots of metal and glass and the floor is stunning! The service team was welcoming, professional, and engaging. The drinks, wow. So many beers on tap, the one my husband tried was pure alchemy (#36 Rogue Blackberry Honey Kolsch) so much flavor going on from start to finish and each sip was a repeat performance. I had the Paradise now! Tart, complex, and refreshing. For dinner my husband had the ribeye, cooked to perfection! I opted to have a starter for my dinner of the Pork Belly Burnt Ends Poutine, oh.my.goodness...it was absolute flavor perfection! The cheese curds were a nice counterpoint to the pork belly, the BBQ sauce added a tangy kick, the French fries themselves were perfectly cooked and flavorful (on the few that weren't covered by all the other yummy goodness)! If you went through the reviews someone mentioned the salmon being extremely salty and it is true. The pasta is good, the steak sandwich is not too bad. The service was just off. Our server was okay no issues with her really but she didn't even tell us her name. When our food came out by someone else one of my friends asked her for Tabasco sauce and she just pointed to where he could get it which threw our group off. So when our server came back we asked for some and she brought it. Also when we asked for our checks the server comes back with the handheld pos and taps all our cards right on the spot.
