Server was great. Lots of people coming to and from the table instead of just letting him work with us though, made it feel a little busy. We had to keep telling people the same things over and over. Things like "someone already said they were getting that for us" not that we needed to keep asking for things! Important difference.) The manger, I think, kept saying he would get things then ended up over committing to tasks and someone else would end up doing it. This isn't a complaint just something I'd suggest having a discussion with with staff and change- lots of business do this because they want to be attentive but it comes off sloppy and messy and just ends up interrupting the meal more than anything. Everyone was doing this with the best intention though. Only love and advice here! The drinks were very good. Loved seeing all the holiday themed stuff everywhere VERY VERY cute!!!! we loved the heart napkins and the whole vibe was 10/10. I thought my food was bland, everyone else loved theirs, so I won't dock starts for that. Excited to visit this place again next time we are in town. I've been in the industry over 20 years and have seen many place fail, flail, and have great success. (If you were so busy you wouldn't have, or at minimum KNOW you wouldn't have, time talk to every one. I never once saw you "delegate" a task to someone else. I saw you repeatedly say you'd do a task then someone on staff notice it wasn't done the do it for you. You told the boss you'd seat us then wandered off to do whatever behind the bar and she sat us- her job you didn't need to butt into btw. You did say you'd get cheese and did it yourself. You came by a bunch to make sure our table, and every table we could see, was happy but it seemed more for ego than anything because you kept repeating how but YOU are from the second we walked in until we left. You said you'd get my father in law another drink then it simply never came but whatever we just left without another high priced cocktail on our bill, your loss. Stopped by for a happy hour cocktail. It's actually in the basement but there were people dressed as if they were from the 1940s and 50s. Fun time great bartenders. Great interior decoration to speak of that time. If you get a chance, even if you're not hungry because it is a restaurant stop by at the bar and have a cocktail. read more

Wow! I cannot say enough about this place. We truly enjoyed our evening. We came to Flying X Speakeasy Lounge for dinner. Shauna was exceptionally nice. She was informative about the menu and accommodated our seating preference. Marcus and Tim are both the most creative and thoughtful people. Their place conveys the history of the 1920's with an exotic twist. Everywhere you look there is history being displayed. Just an adorable, relaxing, interesting ambiance. Even the bathroom decor will have you talking. Aside from the atmosphere the food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing! I would recommend ordering from the beverage menu if you do not have a particular beverage you enjoy. Marcus is not only a great mixologist he is very knowledgeable about the history of the town. Pendleton does not deserve this place! Solid atmosphere, intimate vibes & delicious food with world class service! From the time you walk down the steps & enter, this world takes you back. The team that brought this Speakeasy is evident they have put their passion, heart & soul into this wonderful experience. This gem should be packed every night. For starters we enjoyed their signature "Smoking Gun Old Fashion" (which is a must order experience). The sweet smoky flavor of the appropo Pendleton whiskey mixed in with all the other ingredients made for a delicious drink. We had apps only (bc we were headed to a family dinner). The Stuffed Mushrooms were fluffy, fresh & incredibly flavorful. The Italian Meatballs hit the spot, perfectly seasoned. The Prawns Cocktail were delicious & cleaned throughly. Can't wait to go back for dinner! Bathrooms were accommodating filled with cologne, mouthwash, fully stocked of paper towels & incredibly clean. One of the coolest swankiest vibes anywhere, dark and underground, nice music, very cool vintage furniture, very nice servers, super chill and relaxing. Not cheap for sure, but the food I got was tasty and above average. I originally had a gripe about the service and one of the owners immediately responded to my issue, which I think is about as good as you can get with any misunderstandings these days. Definitely recommend checking this place out for the ambiance and yummy food and drinks. read more

Food is over priced for the simplest fancy plate they throw together. Inconsistent hours. The owners aren't very pleasant to their employees or to honest critics. I expect the owners to retaliate a hateful response but I dont care. I am entitled to an honest review. They're horrible business owners! And this speakeasy is awful. Called when on the road gave out eta and was offered to pre order... we chose not to do that as not sure of realistic time. Got there with 5 minutes to order dinner...the bacon carbonara was like a food orgasm.... SOOOOOO GOOOOD! Marcus and Tim were amazing! Can't wait to come back and try something new. We stopped in to the Flying X Speakeasy last Saturday night and had an absolute BLAST! We asked Marcus to make us whatever drinks he felt like making, and he brought us out several different delicious concoctions. It is evident that he takes a lot of pride in his craft. Marcus and Tim have created my new favorite place that I intend to tell everyone I know about, because trust me when I say, your life will not be complete until you have experienced Flying X. I only wish I didn't live 4 hours away or I'd be a regular. For dinner, I had the fettuccine alfredo with prawns which was the best alfredo I've ever tasted. Wow! This was recommended by a person in St. Helens! Her friends are owners of the establishment. What an amazingly pleasant surprise! Located in the Pendleton Underground, the ambiance is eclectic! Fashioned in the "Speak Easy" era decor, the walls and decor provide lots of browsing opportunities! But the FOOD! Wow! Our table ordered a variety of dishes so we had some great comparison material. The portions are outstanding, maybe a bit large but that's what doggie bags are for, right? From a huge dinner salad to chicken fried steak - the meals were a solid hit! The Chicken Marsala was incredible! The sauce was perfectly flavored with fresh mushrooms mixed in. The chicken was moist and tender. The Bacon Carbonara was the "best damn ever!" The drinks were spot-on delicious! The margarita was spectacular, even the virgin one was perfect. The old fashion was perfectly fashioned!
