My boyfriend and I were craving fish so we went to Bonefish Sunday 1/14. The food was good. The bang bang shrimp was so good!!! The main plate (Chilean sea bass and cod imperial ) was over cooked, small portioned and salty, but it did have really great flavor... the reason I am reviewing was because I was overall impressed with our waitress. I don't know her name but she was just so friendly and quick and it was a breath of fresh air! You don't get that very often anymore in the hospitality industry. My overall impression of this place is that it has decent but not amazing food, and has slow and subpar service. I went here with my family for lunch, and it took quite some time for us to be seated. We also were given the dinner menu despite the fact that it was 1 pm, so that was kind of weird, because other people were eating brunch. Bang bang shrimp - flavorful and a good portion for the amount that you pay. A good bang for your buck, if you will. Lobster rolls - was pretty decent, although I'm not a lobster roll connoisseur by any means. Caution though, it does have a good amount of celery. I really don't like celery. However the celery wasn't too overpowering. The size of the lobster roll is moderate I would say. We had Bonefish at Polaris delivered to St. Ann's Hospital. There was no silverware and no napkins. They charged $7.70 for these 5 little pieces of asparagus and $4.00 for the soup that was approximately 1/3 full, and that is the whole order of my daughter's fries. I called the manager (Jeff) and he said there was nothing he could do. My husband and I eat there enough to know their portions. So, what can I do? Bonefish is a delightful alternative to red lobster if you are looking for a classier seafood dish. I had the *new* lobster stuff shrimp and I wasn't disappointed. Very nice sized shrimp butterflied so they could add a lobster meat stuffing on top, it was a great pairing. They have a great collection of sides to compliment seafood dishes as well. Their beer selection is small if you like drafts. And the restaurant is slightly chilly so dress prepared for that Otherwise enjoy! read more

The decor here is very nice. Most Bonefish Grill locations are well decorated I feel. I sat by the bar to eat my meal. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I came on a Friday night so the place was buzzing. My cocktail was pretty good and strong- Pineapple Martini I ordered Wagyu Beef Potstickers for appetizers. Maybe I am sensitive to salt but it was too salty for my palate. I had the Rainbow Trout for my main along with sweet potato sides and another item. Not really great tasting. For seafood, it didn't taste fresh. I came because I also signed up for this reward program that a few other restaurants participate in. If I return, I think I will just try the steak and keep it simple. Am sure the salt content on that will be high too. read more

My son and I went to dinner. We LOVE the bang bang shrimp. Believe me this is incredible as I hate shrimp but we cleaned the plate! Sirloin and fish were fantastic. Their steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes were really good! We were so full we didn't have room for dessert. I've had dessert before and it's fantastic so make sure you don't over eat like we did. Today i met 2 friends for Happy Hour. I ordered Calamari and Bang Bang Shrimp. The Bang Bang was amazing as was my raspberry drink. The Calamari was over cooked. Under the breading it was white which led me to believe it was frozen too long or frozen n unthawed multiple times. The biggest problem i had was with the waitress Britany. Britany brought my friend back her change minus .17 . When my friend asked her about it, she said that when they are busy, they do not give back change. The bar area was not full at 18:00. My friend said okay, and left. She gave her a 3.00 tip in spite of, and all she had was 1happy hour $5 drink and 1 $6 food item. I call that theft! What is due to a customer is due. I wonder how she would have reacted had she been paid but was short the change. I am sure law Enforcement would have been called. This was our first visit to a Bonefish so I had high expectations. Wife and I came on Sunday at 1230pm and was sat right away. The dining room was maybe a quarter filled. We were surprised it was so quiet. The dining was white table cloth but dress is casual. We were greeted promptly and sat right away. Waitress was good, prompt with all drinks and follow ups. I ordered the crab cakes. Came with red remoulade sauce. Was very good! Crab was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. The sauce was spicy and was a solid accompaniment. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos. Was excellent and had a flavorful taste and just a little spice. I didn't want fries so I ordered the Cole slaw instead. I found that too sweet. But the tacos were a solid 9-10. Wife got the George's Bank Scallop and Shrimp. Was very good. We both agreed we would go back again and likely ordered the same items. Wow!! Started off with a sangaria(yummy). Then we ordered the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer.. It is shrimp on a small bed of lettuce with the shrimp coated in a spicy sauce!! Not too hot.. I'm normally not a big fan of chain restaurants but Bonefish Grill is not your typical chain. We had reservations for our most recent visit and arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation and found a couple of seats at the bar. The lady tending bar was exceptionally pleasant and very efficent. She took our order and served our drinks promptly. We were seated at our table within 5 minutes of the time of our reservation. Our server was very good -- which I describe as attentive without being overbearing. She was there to refill our water glasses and take our drink orders without being intrusive. Overall - our service -- from the hostess to the bar to the waitress in the restaurant was all excellent. A trip to Bonefish Grill would not be complete without an appetizer of "bang-bang shrimp". This is one of my all time favorite appetizers and was as exceptionally good as I remembered. For dinner, I started with a cup of the roasted tomato and red pepper soup and my wife has the Bonefish house salad - both were very good. The dinner menu always includes a number of specials and my wife and I both ordered the "steak topped with lobster thermidor" special and it was excellent. Prices are a little higher than the standard "Polaris Pakrway fare" - aka cost of the casual chain restaurants but they were lower than most of the fancy seafood restaurants. I've been coming to this location for years. It's become a family hangout. Everything here is wonderful. The service is great. The bang bang is awesome!!! The menu is large. You can get awesome fish or go for a hamburger or meat. The sides are delicious and the desserts are tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

I'm not usually the type to get online and write reviews, but i felt that I needed to address something I overheard when my wife and I were dining at your restaurant this past Saturday. We were sitting at our booth, which was located towards the back of the restaurant, and we heard the manager (larger gentleman with glasses) reprimanding one of the employees about something. He wasn't yelling, but the way he was speaking to her was very rude and disrespectful. Again, we are unaware of the details, and the restaurant was pretty loud, but my wife saw her crying in the bathroom. Furthermore, a short time later, we overheard him talking negatively about her to another gentleman while standing in the dining room. As a man who runs his own business, I would never speak to one of my employees in such a demeaning manner. We love your restaurant, so it was very disappointing to hear the way your management speaks to employees. read more

I don't normally leave such bad reviews. But the food last night was atrocious. I wish I would have taken a picture of the plating of a filet mignon and crab cake with cheesy potatoes. There was a premium side of Brussels sprouts that was on another plate presumably because it needed to look like an added value. It was simply a hot mess. Unappealing before it even got started. An initial bite of the filet warranted a "That's good roast beef" - not a compliment to a steak. The other entree at the table was a chef's starred cobia with shrimp. The lemon caper sauce was bland. The Caesar salad was lack luster. And it all started off with an appetizer that was anything but. I can't even remember the name of the dip that came with the chips. I've eaten here once, but I thought Bonefish Grill was very good. Not great or amazing, but a half notch above Red Lobster in my opinion (my husband differs, though). I found everything to taste fresh, but my husband found the flavors dull and the plates underwhelming. For our appetizer we had the Thai Coconut Shrimp - the shrimp were large and hot, but the breading was overcooked a little and a bit crunchier than expected. Good spicy Thai sauce, though. My meal was the Rainbow Trout with broccoli and squash. The trout was so fresh tasting and super simple (no butter appeared to be used on either my fish or my broccoli) -- but since I'm all about trying to eat healthier these days that was a good thing. This, however, is what my husband did not like about Bonefish Grill. He ordered the swordfish, which was a pretty small square, with broccoli and mashed potatoes. He wasn't as pleased with his meal as I was with mine needless to say since he prefers butter on everything. Overall I would probably give Bonefish a 3.5 out of 5, but since I can't I bumped it up to a 4 since our waiter was friendly and professional AND they are open for lunch on the weekends (as all restaurants should be!). read more

We were here the other day for dinner with friends. The food was delicious! Really, very good. However, I can't say that I ever remember having a bad meal at this restaurant. They also have a GF menu, which is nice for my husband. My daughter had fish & chips (the kid's meal bersion) and I had the Cobb salad with shrimp. Delicious, all of it! The only recommendation I can make is for them to not turn the music up during the dinner hours. The restaurant is already very loud being an open concept place. So, the music just made us all have to speak louder & louder in order to hear each other. We will be back surely for the food! read more

To rate my experience with this location I will give it 0 out of 5 stars Bonefish Grill 1930 POLARIS PARKWAY COLUMBUS, OH Manager - "Shane" I placed an order online via the website for curbside pickup Thursday evening May 6th. My drive to this location is about 25 minutes so I knew I would get there a little after the estimated pickup time, which is fine not the issue at all. Now, I have not visited this location since pre-covid, so my assumption was that per the curbside pickup option on the website, that requires your vehicle description like many other places I use curbside for, once you pull up someone would bring your order to your car. I get to the location at about 8:20p and I park next to a vehicle I assumed was there for curbside pick-up as well. I notice two women at the window who work for the establishment so I figure they would be bringing my food out. I sit there for about 5-7 minutes and one young woman comes out and gets into the passenger side of the vehicle next to me. She sits and talks with the person for a while and the second woman comes out to another vehicle I assume and goes back into the restaurant. At 8:31p I decide to call into the restaurant as there is no signage that indicates you must do so; the site does not indicate this either, but I did call and not receive an answer. I hung up and waited 5 more minutes and called back twice and did not receive an answer. I go inside and I see a bag with my last name on it which I pick up and take to my car. Upon checking my bag there were no napkins or utensils and the food was not fresh. The fries were burnt and soggy, so I proceed to take my bag back in to get a refund. The two ladies that work for this location are at the vehicle next to me, so I had to open my door halfway to exit to not hit the one lady standing outside the car. I go in and she follows behind and asks politely how she can help. I proceed to explain I would like to return my food and get a refund. The gentlemen she brings over is the manager, in which I ask him what the process of curbside is pick-up to which he explains you have to call when you pull up to the establishment. I proceed to tell him I called three times with no answer and I would like a refund. He then asks me "what's wrong with the food?" and I answer it isn't fresh. He then asks how long ago my order was placed and asks me again what is wrong with my food. I show him the fish and chips plate which he responded, "yes it's fish" and I asked, "do you see the fries" which he couldn't until I picked them up as they were burnt and the same color as the fish. I did not speak much as I knew going in, I wanted a refund because not only was the food horrible, but the entire experience was terrible. The manager tells me "he's not trying to make an issue and that I was mad" as he asks me about the food. I advised him I was not mad, which I wasn't at all. I was most certainly disappointed in not only my order which I applied my tip when I paid, but I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. The manager advised it would be a refund to my card and I left. I am waiting on that refund to process. I plan on contacting corporate as well. To conclude, I would like to also leave some suggestions. 1. If your curbside pickup requires you to call in, someone should answer the phone. 2. If your curbside pickup allows for customers to tip prior to, why would we do that if we come inside to pick up. Who are we tipping at that point? 3. If your curbside pickup has any specific directions necessary to ensure the transaction is pleasurable on both ends, there should be signage outside of the restaurant & specifics on the website. 4. With the experience side, there should be some sort of etiquette required that gives your customers a sense of hospitality when they pull up to your establishment. (All 3 of the employees seen me when I pulled up as I watched them in the window, they had one curbside order, me, I should not have to call when both workers knew I was there as they were outside in the parking lot with me at moments during my wait) 5. In the leadership role, I would suggest that your management learn to use words of empathy & truly understand certain body language or tone does not equate to being mad. Instead of using antagonizing trigger words that would, in turn, make some upset, try a different approach. 6. Also, a note for leadership, there were absolutely no customer service skills used in the interaction I had yesterday which resonated with the staff. I would think that not only am I paying for the food but also the experience and interaction. Your management also did not acknowledge, apologize, or ask how we can make this right. Blatantly sarcastic and certainly disconnected from my experience as a paying customer. read more

Wife and i decided to have lunch here during a day of Christmas shopping. It was a first visit for both. We started of course with the bang bang shrimp that we have always been told about. And the rumors were correct, they are very delicious! Perfect amount of heat that is not overpowering. I was also surprised at the amount we received. There was plenty for both of us to munch on before our meals. Since it was lunch we went with choices that were on the lighter side. She had the Fish and chips, which she said was cooked very well. Not oily at all and had a nice crisp crunch. I ordered the blackened fish tacos. The fish was cooked well, and the pico was fresh and tasty.
