I absolutely love the food here, but we rarely come here, as there are some things about this spot that I wish would improve. The food is absolutely worth the price. But it's a bit bold to charge the same amount as Northstar Cafe when the service experience is not nearly as premium. As a guest, you wait at the door to be seated, and you're standing there with a bunch of confused DoorDash drivers. You get a table that you have to trust is claimed for you, and then have to go stand in another line for counter service at the back. This line moves slowly because you can't see the menu until you are right by the counter, so people have to quickly figure out what they want when it's time to order... and to no surprise, this slows things down a lot. Even more frustrating is that this line to order overlaps with the exit point from the kitchen, so you have to dodge servers who are running hot food to tables. After you order, you have to wait in yet another line for the one beat up Coke Freestyle machine in a tiny crowded corner space. There is no space where guests can get extra napkins or to go boxes, and if you want a refill, you again have to wait to use the Coke machine. Once you pay, you are pretty much on your own to get anything you need -- and you have to stand in yet another tiny crowded space to wait for what you need. The overall ambiance is akin to a sports bar or a quick-service restaurant, but you're paying the premium price you'd pay at a full service upscale restaurant. And the food really does deserve that price... but the hospitality experience is just so lacking that I'm not willing to spend the money, which is frustrating considering these are all fixable issues. Koble really just has an identity crisis. Are you an upscale, full-service restaurant? Are you a quick-service lunch spot? Are you a sports bar? Please pick one and commit to it. read more

First off, the food is spectacular. Check the menu and you'll be ecstatic with so many choices (go ahead and order multiples.) Sandwiches are big enough for two meals and I don't say that lightly. Deserts will make your mouth water. Very coastal so don't be put off by more formal look outside. Order at the back counter then find a comfy seat. I can't continue to rave without mentioning staff. Saganaki was delish and comes with a show (the server lites it on fire), spanakopita wa good better the next day. This was our first time ordering from here as we are new to the area and disappointed is an understatement. We placed an order for delivery through Chownow and upon arrival it was clear multiple items were missing. I called the restaurant to see what options were available and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Once I was put on with a manager she was dismissive and rude, saying "it's just a soup and salad" that were missing. As this was my wife's dinner, it did not go over very well. The options she then proceeded to provide were us coming to pick up the rest of our order (defeats the purpose of delivery), or offering a gift card of the amount of the missing items. She informed me they would not be able to provide any sort of refund as that is handled by Chownow. After reaching out to Chownow I received the email in the attached screenshot. Koble did not provide satisfactory solutions and is now refusing to work with one of their delivery partners to resolve the issue. Be very wary of what you may get with this restaurant! read more

Terrible customer service. Placed a pick up order. Arrived 5 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready. There was a long line of people ordering, after standing in it shortly - went over to the area where food is given out and asked about our pick up order. Was very rudely told pick up orders are in the same line as people ordering. So 15 minutes later we were given our order when finally getting to the counter. That order had been sitting there the whole time. So obviously cold fries etc. How hard is it to give someone their pick up order? I've never been in line waiting to order and been mad that a pick up order was taken care of. Common sense. A better system needs to be put in place. It's been a few years (pre pandemic) since we've visited Koble Grill. It's really quite conveniently located in Uptown Westerville but we just didn't seem to go there as much as we did. We went on a recent week-night evening and had a most enjoyable meal. This is a quick casual place - you order and pay at the counter and then find a seat and they bring your food to your table. Koble has an interesting menu - Greek AND italian - which makes it easy for everyone to find something they like. I ordered the Greek panini which is a panini made with Greek gyro meat and feta cheese. Also ordered fries. My wife tried the fish tacos. Our meals were excellent and the service (i.e. the delivery to the table) was good. It was an enjoyable meal and evening and we'll be back. read more

You can't go wrong with Greek and Italian and their menu has both so you'll definitely find something to your liking. It's a place-your-order-before-sitting situation which is super efficient and helps move groups along. As for food, I totally recommend their chicken gyro. The pita bread is soft and fluffy and holds everything together. They don't skimp on the chicken and veggies either and the sauce really ties it all together. Also their Greek side salad is huge. Grilled Octopus - it was amazing with charred kinda balsamic taste 2. Calamari Fritti - right crisp and great dip! For the mains: 1. I wasn't sure what to expect but was met with a wide array of food options and a casual environment that was easy to have dinner at but would also be fun to grab a drink at! Uptown has convenient parking with several lots, and is very walkable! The DORA also makes it fun to explore, especially on a summer night. Koble is a grab a table and order at the counter option (which is not the vibe I would have immediately expected) but nicer than most restaurants this style and the waiters still bring you your food! They have a large bar and menu with food options to please everyone. I was very pleased with my Greek salad - I forgot to take a picture before I started but tons of toppings, an appropriate amount of dressing (though you can always get it on the side), and a delicious warm pita! I've eaten at Koble Grill several times over the last two years. I rarely stray from something with gyro meat (gyro sandwich on pita or gyro salad). It's always good, if not great. Koble serves its gyro salad with a good vinaigrette dressing. I probably prefer a more traditional Tzatziki dressing and maybe I could get it if I asked. Others in my group have ordered the gyro bowls with rice and other ingredients and have enjoyed them. Service is friendly but limited to ordering and paying at the counter and then placing a number on your table where they drop off your food. They have a full bar and if you order soft drinks you get them yourself at the dispenser. We went on a Friday night and there was a good crowd but still tables and bar seats available. This restaurant's operations were designed by a kindergartener! I didn't realize I would need to compete in the Hunger Games to get a table. When we entered the restaurant there is a sign to order at the counter. We proceeded to order our meal, pay, and got a number for our order. However, after walking through the whole restaurant there were zero available tables. There was one singular table that wasn't occupied but someone has placed a bag on it to hold it. After walking around trying to see if any tables would be available soon a "hostess" asked we if we wanted to be added to the wait list for a table. We told her we already ordered our food and she asked like that doesn't change the waitlist for a table. Seems wildly backwards. We opted to cancel our order. The cashier asked if we wanted to change it to a to go order, so it appears this happens often. We were visiting the area so had no where to go to eat it, thus the canceling. My daughter and I went to Koble early evening in July on a weeknight. When we walked in we realized that there is a place to order in the back so we decided to sit at the bar and avoid that. The chairs had backs so we were comfortable. There were hooks for purses on the bar at our knees which was a plus. It is the ambiance of a sports bar without the noise when we were there. We both ordered drinks: Greek Mule, which was refreshing but expected, and a Coconut Creamsicle Margarita which was delicious! We also ordered appetizers: hummus which was very good and spanakopita which was just okay. It wasn't what I expected--more dough than filling. The bartender was very attentive and ensured our appetizers came out first, allowing us to enjoy our drinks and the appetizers. I've always wanted to try moussaka and since this was made with ground beef rather than lamb, I decided to give it a try. It was delicious and huge! My daughter enjoyed the stuffed pepper. For dessert we shared walnut baklava. It was tasty but cold. I prefer it at room temperature. I think the coldness added to some crystallization of the honey making it hard. Can you say leftovers? The bartender was nice but I had to ask for a beer menu and never got to see the wine or cocktail list. I should've ordered a salad. They looked fresh. I asked the difference in the two shrimp dishes and was recommended that the rice was great. It was NOT. I don't think it was rinsed or it was old and reheated. I have had better microwave dinners. There was not a flavor in that bowl. The shrimp was ok, not really grilled. The veggies were a good texture, but there needed to be lemon, oregano, salt, anything.
