My family loves this place. We are regulars. The food is amazing and when they say the food will be done in 15 minutes for pick up, it's always ready on time. A few years ago I brought family from out of town to try their gyros and lemon cake. They absolutely loved it. I even had a Greek patient once tell me Panini Opa has the best lemon soup in town. She told me it's hard to find great Greek food in Columbus. I'm giving a four star because one of the new cashiers is extremely rude, but I've never seen her there before. This review is for the bridge park location. I couldn't find a separate page on Yelp. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. I got the shrimp bowl. It was delicious!!! Hot, good seasoning. Shrimp was cooked nice. Could have used a sauce. My son had the chicken tenders and fries. Good tenders. Fries were salty. We had the calamari appetizer. It was inedible. The pieces were so rubbery I had to spit out 2 pieces so I just gave up. Also they have bottled soda, which is nice, but it's not a twist off cap. How confusing for a grab and go style place. The gyro was good although I didn't realize getting it spicy you didn't get the white sauce. I was disappointed but it was good none the less. Went for lunch today and tried some new things! No wait, quiet/chill space, plenty of seating (outside, too, yay!) and friendly service. It's such a solid spot for a lunch, too, because it's a fair value for the quality of food you get. Today the Mr. got a spicy gyro and fresh cut fries all of which he said was really good. Had a jumbo giro and it was large and delicious. Crowded, but the staff and patrons were really friendly and we snagged a table before our order was ready. After checking on my rental properties, it was time for lunch. I like Greek cuisine and when I saw this restaurant on a major road in in northwestern Columbus , I decided to stop. I usually check social media and YELP before stopping. The restaurant has a long bar area serving mostly wine a beer. I ordered a draft beer called "Truth" ($6) for a 12 ounce glass. It was cold and tasted a lot like a Corona". The bar stretches most of one side while tables and chairs line the other side. There is also outside patio seating. I ordered the "Fish Gyro" ($11). It exceeded my expectations. The fish was moist with a lot of fish included while the other ingredients (lettuce, peppers, onions and a special sauce added to the excellent flavor of the panini. While I was there customers were coming in for their take-out orders. It seemed like this restaurant is a popular lunchtime option. That is always a good sign. Great food, great prices. My husband had the gyro and said it was the best he's had in a long time! I opted for the four dip appetizer with veggies. The tzatziki and hummus were my favorites by far. The place is cozy, bathroom was clean, and the location is great. I'm giving it five stars because I'll definitely be back and I have no complaints. BUT...there were a few things that confused me a bit. 1. Some food was served on dishes, some on paper plates. Disposable dinnerware, reusable cups. 2. Is this a fast food place? Fast casual? Upscale casual? The ordering setup is fast food. They call your food out and the register asks for a tip like a fast casual. They sell wine and have beer on tap like an upscale casual place. I really don't know. 3. They reserved a section of the restaurant, but they don't take reservations...? Gyro was very good, the garlic sauce was delicious, plenty of feta and meat, and pita was warm, soft, and held the contents well. The fries had a yummy seasoning on them and were done well. Panini Opa has a freestyle Coke machine in addition to many bottles of wine available. You order at the counter and my meal was ready in about 5 minutes. Their menu is clearly marked with Gluten Free options and their staff has always been very thoughtful and able to answer questions. Honestly the ONLY reason it's not 5 stars (for me) is because they just yell out your name (a la Taco Bell) when your food is ready and you have to walk up and get it. I had the avgolemono soup which is one of my favorite soups. It has lemon, chicken, rice, and sometimes egg. Theirs had a lot of good flavor and came with pita which was a nice touch. I also ordered a side of their lemon potatoes (can you tell I like lemon?) and they were really delicious. They were cooked perfectly and were almost creamy. I finished my meal with their baklava which was good, but a bit of a large portion. It would be nice if they sold the triangles separately for a bit of a lower price point. Nice spot! Happy I live close by. I came in to try the grilled lamb chops ($28). I was surprised at how much food arrived! It comes with a hearty looking Greek salad and a nice bed of rice for the lamb. 6 nice sized pieces definitely don't upset! For dessert i was told about a special in -baklava cheesecake. We live nearby and always hear great things about the food. Finally decided to try them and were not disappointed. The Greek salad has pepprocini peppers not pepperoni as listed on Yelp's menu which made me happy coz I don't eat meat. The potatoes tasted lemony but I wasn't expecting half a baked potato! The spicy chicken is flavorful with lots of banana peppers, onions and lettuce to balance the spice. Hummus was good but not as authentic as others from middle eastern restaurants.
