The food was good and the service was fast. The customer service was very polite. Did not walk inside, but use the drive-through to order my food. Have been to this location a couple times and the food hits the spot. Usually my go to Greek spot when I am in the area. read more

Greek Express - Grilled Chicken & Rice - Greek Near Me - Powell, Ohio

I ordered 2 kids mini gyro meals (which include drink and fries) for $7.00 each, expecting to pay $14. The employee at the drive through window told me the total was $21. When I tried to clarify my order, and let her know I expected the cost to be $14 her response was "that's the same thing." She also told me there was a "range" on the price, then proceeded to tell me the cost was $5.10 each......when I asked to speak with the manager she told me he was on vacation. I then asked to speak with someone else and she told me "no" and closed the window. read more

Greek Express has the Best Grilled Chicken Kabobs with fresh peppers, onions and mushrooms and rice. It is a very healthy and delicious meal. Their food is always made hot and fresh When ordered so patience is a virtue when ordering this meal which takes 15-30 minutes depending on how busy they are during lunch and dinner hours. It is definitely worth the wait! Highly recommend! read more

This place was great, the tzatziki sauce was awesome. Even the wife who doesn't like to try new things enjoyed it. The baklava was on point as well. The staff was very friendly and the place was super clean.....we will be back read more

Order 3 chicken gyros and lemon soup, I was given lamb instead of chicken. But before that when i was getting a order taken by the white blonde kid who was extremely rude, then i waited 10 mins to just pay for the food, after i got home and realized i was given the incorrect Items and called and according to the mouth breather gyro = lamb. Lol how dumb can you be. This place is a joke and a waste of time read more

I go through the drive-thru on a regular basis; almost weekly. I LOVE the gyro salad & fries. The salad has a very generous portion of meat, everything is fresh and the dressing is sooo good! The service is always prompt and pleasant and I appreciate the convenience of the drive-thru. read more

Ugh- I'm sorry to say that this was really bad tonight. We ordered two chicken gyros, a salad, rice, and hummus with extra pita. We've ordered before and it is usually okay, but tonight was not good at all. The hummus was grainey and also watery at the edges. I'm assuming it was not fresh because we have enjoyed it in the past. The pita served with the hummus had some hard spots as if it may have been freezer burnt. The chicken in the gyro was fine, but the sauce was so full of garlic that even after gargling with mouthwash, I still can't get rid of the taste. read more

Greek Express is just fast food. It's nothing horrible. The food isn't anything special though. It has all the typical stuff you think of from a place like it. There's all kinds of Americanized greasy goodness in there. I had a falafel pita. It's about $6 for only the pita. This is a few bucks more if you want fries too. It's nothing special. The falafel doesn't have much flavor or seasoning and it was kind of burnt too. It has several combo meals. Strangely falafel was not one of these. It seems more popular for carryout. It only had a couple of tables with customers. They also have a drive thru if you're wondering about how authentic the food is. read more

After waiting 10-15 minutes past our time for food, we did not receive all the sandwiches we had ordered. Annoying but it happens. But when we called for the missing food to be refunded, we were scoffed at and told to deal. Very disappointing because we have loved the food but we won't be able to risk it again for a lunch order. read more

This place has gone downhill! Ordered a large veggie gyro and a supreme gyro. I called back to request no sauce on the veggie pita as my husband is vegan and the girl said she "would tell him". I received a veggie gyro WITH sauce and a supreme gyro with NO SAUCE AND NO MEAT! Ipaid $20 for lettuce and tomatoes! Going to get a refund and not going back! read more

I have easily eaten hundreds of dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) over the past fifty years. The Greek Express in Powell makes by far and above the absolutely best dolmades I have ever eaten. All of the food is very good and generously portioned, but the dolmades are to die for. It is nice to have a fast food restaurant in the neighborhood that is different from your typical hamburger or chicken menu. I recommend that you give it a try, read more

One of the best fast food places in my opinion. It's great to just be able to drive through or pop in and have a nice gyro. Also, their fries are some of the best. Thick, crispy, textured, and seasoned. It's also nice to change it up and have options like spanakopita or dolmas or Calamari salad. read more

While visiting family last week we decided to order this location for delivery. They have ordered from this location multiple times and enjoyed their meal each time. It arrived quickly and was still nice and warm. Our order was a mix of kabob meals, salads and gyros. Everything was nicely packaged and the portions were great! We also ordered some baklava which was delicious. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would order again when looking for a nice quick service meal. read more

The food might be good, I guess. Idk. Walked into the dining area to order, stood there like a ghost for five mins and left. The drive thru looked kinda busy, but no one else was in the dining area I get places are understaffed and I'm fine with being patient, but at least throw a "hey buddy we'll be with you in a minute" my way. If you really want to try this place, go to the drive thru, but I probably won't be back read more

Consistently great gyros and salads. I especially like the drive-thru. They are always efficient and move the line along. I got the Gyro salad and the meat was plentiful and veggies fresh. I rarely put the dressing on since the feta is ample and flavorful. The dressing is great though. read more

This place used to be amazing. The food still tastes great however, I think they have joined the shrinkflation initiative. I used to go in there and get a gyro salad. I'm eating low carb, and that thing would do the job! Tasted great (still does) and enough protein to get me through the day and most times wouldn't need dinner! LOADED with meat! Sadly in the past 6-8 months, the portion of meat has declined to a point that even when I pay for extra meat, it's not even the same portion that was on it w/o extra from previous. I have even mentioned this to the staff and asked for a "good amount" of meat on the salad. They tell me "ok! we'll let them know in the back" and it's always the same, never changes. Not sure if it's under different management now or what but the quantity has declined to a point that I think today will be my last visit. read more

I have to say for a drive through Greek place the food is surprisingly good. The dolmas are in a lemon butter sauce and are seasoned so that they taste quite authentic. My favorite so far is the Greek salad with Gyro meat. Their Greek dressing is a little more creamy than I am used to but it's good. Their fries are also double cooked and have the extra coating! Why is it that greek fries are so much better than any other? Nothing inherently Greek about french fries and yet... If you want a gyro, fries and pop, you don't even have to leave your car. Perfect for a post Covid grab and go. read more

I came here and ordered a regular Gyro combo the french fries was freshly made when I got in to my Gyro the meat was cold So I called to let them know immediately what I got was a young guy telling another one about the meat was Cold and then he comes on the phone and say we got it so after thinking about it because the sandwich was no good I called back and talk to the general manager and I tell him about it he quickly say what do you want your money back I politely told him you do not have to worry about me ever again read more

Can't trust this place! The food is really good BUT it happened too many times that something is missing from our order, which is very annoying because I don't always check the bag until I get home and just got too lazy to drive back to get my missing items. After this has happened so many times, including tonight, I am suspecting this is intentionally done. read more

I always come here when I'm craving Greek food. Delicious gyros and fries! Never disappoints

Just an awful gyro - I cant believe they have the nerve to sell this. Yellow lettuce, old hard gyro meat and so much sauce the entire sandwich was a mess. Very disappointed since I've been eating here for years. Never again. read more

Food is okay, nothing out of ordinary, but we couldn't eat inside, I don't think they have the AC working, it was very hot.

Always loved the gyros here! The fries weren't as crunchy as normal last time I got them. But usually they are spot on! They need to throw them in the fryer a little longer next time. Otherwise, the gyros are some of the best around. The sauce is delicious and the meat is as well. I used to go here once a week back when it first opened, years ago. Will always come back for more. read more

Great place. Location is easy to get into. Food always tastes fresh. People are very nice. Everything looks so good to eat.

We love Greek Express as a quick, pick up option when we don't have plans to cook at home. If you choose wisely, there are healthy options. We have probably been 100 times so I won't doc stars for one bad experience however it was a very annoying evening. Went through drive-thru, got home and was missing a gyro. Called and they said they'd have it ready. Drove all the way back and they seemed offended that I asked if it had been freshly made or if it was from 20 minutes before when I'd been there. Handed it to me with no apology for the inconvenience. Got home and it was a soggy, disgusting mess. It happens, I just wish that had at least handled it kindly. 4 stars bc the food is good and 1 bad experience out of 100 ain't bad. read more

I have fallen for this family owned business, especially when I am looking for quick Greek meal. I love their greek salads and usually get the gyro salad. Terrificly sized portion. Competitively and reasonably priced. They offer three different gyro sizes as well. The pita bread has always been fresh. The staff have always been terrific about answering questions and very gracious. They do have a nice size eat-in area. I've never seen the placed filled up to where you could not get a table. Unique is that they offer a drive-through service for a gyro shop. Yeah - definitey a fan here. read more

A Greek restaurant with a drive thru? By Jove, it works! Greek Express is a little less authentic to the more refined palatte, but I will take this anyway. Not every town HAS a Greek place, so the fact Powell has one, which saves me an excruciating trip down Sawmill is a major plus in the convenience book. The Gyros are pretty basic and filling. They have three sizes mini, regular and JUMBO. JUMBO will leave you with a sore gut and gluttonous regret. It is A LOT of food. I mean... A LOT. They also serve some desserts here as well, but they were pretty meh and nothing to rave about. Prices here are pretty decent for the meal you get. The food here is basic and your run of the mill Greek fast food. This place is great as a lunch destination, or whenever you need a quick bite. My only qualm is that it is HOT in there. Could we get a little AC out in the dining area!? Damn. So.. there you have it. If you want simple Greek food and don't feel like traveling for ions and fighting traffic, then Greek Express will satisfy that need for all you Powell-inians. read more

Pros: Accepts Credit Cards Drive Through Service Cons: The food is not that great. I'd rather spend or drive a little more and get something more delicious and authentic. Review: I am usually a fan of The Gyro Shoppe on Henderson road. What I am not a fan of--especially during the horror that is a Midwestern Winter--is the drive. I live by the zoo and I was interested in getting my Gyro fix closer to home. I decided to stop by the Greek Express on Powell road this week. The menu looks appetizing. I will say, the prices are pretty much identical to the Gyro Shoppe. A soft drink, fries and mini-gyro (which is still plenty of Gyro) was 4.99. Usually when I think of Greek food fries I think of droopy French fries that still have their skin and are DELICIOUS. Not so much the case here. The fries were sort of dry and seemed like the generic fries you could buy at the grocery store. If that's your thing, you won't be disappointed. The gyro itself had me saying Oops instead of Opa. There was really no flavor. The meat was dry. I still finished it because, hey, food. But I was unsatisfied when I completed my meal. If something is going to be horrible for your body the least it can do is make your tummy happy. The only reason I will not give a one-star is because of the service, I will say, was FANTASTIC. The staff is attentive and enthusiastic.. Also, they accept credit cards, which is a plus. If only great service meant great food! read more

For a fast food they have quality food. I enjoyed the fresh gyro wrap and delicious fresh French fries. They also have great customer service. My new favorite food. read more

The food was outstanding when I first began going here but has become inconsistent. I have gone on 3 separate occasions within the last month and have been served burnt french fries, undercooked meat in my dolmathes, and an extremely poor greek salad. The staff is always friendly but something had to change here to make the food quality begin declining. Hopefully it changes because I really want to continue going to this location. read more

Greek Express is one of my favorite options for those nights when we don't feel like cooking, but we don't necessarily feel like going out to a restaurant. Tonight I had the falafel greek salad and an order of onion rings. The salad was smaller than I remembered, but it had lots of tomato and cucumber and a surprising amount of falafel (I think six) on it, and it came with their house dressing which is creamy and delicious. I'm pretty sure the falafel and the onion rings were from frozen, but I liked them anyway. They have good gyros here too, and you can get combo meals without fries which is nice. This place is quick, cheap and different than any other fast food place around and pretty much everything on the menu comes with veggies so I can pretend its healthy-ish :) read more

Pretty decent place to grab something quick. I got the #8 Combo with French Fries and Chicken Gyro. The chicken wasn't that good; it was pretty dry, but the pita bread it comes with is delicious. I also got the Walnut Baklava and it was very good; except some may find it a bit too sweet. The environment is relatively friendly and it's a nice place to eat something quick. Wish the bathrooms were bigger as only one person can go in at a time. read more
