I have been a long time customer of this restaurant (12 years). When the owner spent more time at this location, we often engaged in long conversations. The crew in the back was also very friendly. When they saw my family and me, they came to the front to say hi. My last visit was January 2, 2021. I brought family to taste the great food. Unfortunately because of the time we are living in, I asked why the people in the back were not wearing face covering. The young lady in the front gave me a printout noting an OSHA regulation stating unsafe conditions for cooks if face coverings were used. I totally understood that part. However, those assembling the gyros should since they are breathing onto the food we were about to consume. Not wanting to put the young lady in a difficult position, I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, very politely indicated they were not required but if I wanted, he would the person assembling our food to put on a face cover. That person, when asked by the manager to put on a face mask, stumped to the back and started yelling. She said "GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!". I called the manager back and asked if he heard that. He was very apologetic. I informed him I would not be buying food today because of the employee's behavior. Then there was another statement by the employee in question. She said "GOOD!". The following day, I went to their site and under the tab "Contact Us", I detailed my experience. After a week, I did not hear from anyone. Perhaps those working in the back assembling the gyros may not be required to wear face covering. But those of us who value our health are watching and expect every precaution is taken to enhance our experience. I don't need a response anymore. I do hope employees are better trained not only on customer service but health and safety as well. read more

In the past years they consistently got our drive-thru orders wrong (always asked for the cucumber sauce - but always got the house garlic sauce) so we backed off for awhile. Mediterranean food is so personal, what one person likes another hates and vice versa. Is Greek Express the more authentic Greek food ever? No, but I think for a fast food experience that is a pretty darn good. I always get the chicken gyro and my little girl gets the chicken and rice. The pita is always fresh and soft and I really enjoy the gyro sauce. The fact that it is close to my house just makes it that much better. read more

So yummy! I love their chicken pita. I'm a stickler on cucumber sauce and this place has very good sauce! Their pita bread is soft, the chicken is tender, and their fries are delicious. I almost always use the drive thru and service is generally friendly and quick. Maybe someday I'll try more than the limited menu items I've had, but it's hard to go there and not get what you know is really, really good! It's hard for me to give Greek Express an accurate rating. I would say that it is a 3.5, but of course I can't select a half star. I go here when I need a quick fix for lunch. The drive through makes it a great alternative from the other fast food around the area. The prices are reasonable, and it is only $1 to get a bigger gyro, which is a lot bigger. At the drive thru they do often have a hard time hearing you, but they seem to get the order correct. As for the food, everything seems fresh and I enjoy my chicken gyro. My husband and I really like this place for a quick meal. I don't believe they have much indoor seating, if any at all. We always do the drive through. You get a ton of food for not a lot of money. The fries are really good. read more

Okay, I'm going to have to give four stars because this is a great option for fast food. I mean, I've never been inside, so I can't even offer a rating for anything other than fast food here! And as far as that goes, I feel much better about it than most alternatives. I have two young kids who love their schedule, and once in a while I'm caught with no plan for the next meal due in 10 minutes. I will not feed them McDonald's (etc.). I don't care what you feed your kids, but I'm not doing it. Subway is an option if you don't mind hauling the kids in to get the food. I get anxious when I realize I'm going to have to come up with something edible from a drive-thru for my children. It really, really bugs me. So I'm pretty grateful that Greek Express is an option and my kids love it. We've only stopped a few times, so we're still not fully familiar with the menu, but we've had the vegetarian pitas (veggie gyros) and the tzatziki sauce is awesome. The pitas are awesome, too, although admittedly not a health food. I'll still take it over most alternatives. The hummus is not the greatest, but the pitas are so good it doesn't really matter. The spinach feta pie is good, too. And I didn't hear any complaints the one time we tried the fries... Also, the service has been incredibly friendly, and they've never made a mistake with our order. Came here for a very quick, order and inhale lunch one day. The staff was very nice and the food was just your run of the mill Americanized Greek food. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to go here as it's nothing special, but if I ever find myself in the area with a hankering for some Greek food I won't hesitate to stop. read more

Usually go to the Polaris location & our experience at this location was very unfortunate. Small portions, under seasoned meats, rude employees. I even asked if my meal was correct & they said no & had someone add what was missing, however the portion was still incredibly small for the price. This place has amazing food but I swear every time I get food from there they forget the white sauce it's like they horde the stuff like liquid gold it's incredible stranger hours sometimes and enjoy attempting to talk you out of any kebob meal. I live in Cleveland, Ohio but often visit Columbus for work roughly 1-2 times a week. Not being familiar with the area, I went on yelp to find some decent restaurants close to me which ended up being the powell location. Walked in, was greeted immediately and was also walked through the menu and explained the awesome options, even though it was during lunch rush. I got the spinach pie and the chicken kebob!! WOW! When we're craving for that gyro.. this is the place we go since it's down the street from us. I usually get the mini gyro since it's a pretty big serving. For the side, you can get their seasoned fries which is really tasty or the lemon soup which is nice too! The also have the meat that's wrapped in grape leaves which is delicious too. I've been going to Greek Express at this location for years. While I have had great experiences over the years, I have to say the service (and food) seems to have taken a nose dive. While I used to go to Greek Express 1-2X per week, I find myself going maybe once per month now. The food and service both are so inconsistent it has become quite annoying. 50% of the time my order is missing something, and I typically don't find out until I get all the way home, and the customer service is poor. The staff used to be college-aged and they took the job seriously but now it is run by a bunch of high-schoolers that couldn't care less. I really enjoy this place. It is small with limited seating and decor, and it can be hot inside during the summer if you want to eat in, but it is not really trying to be an eat in place so much in my opinion. It seems to do well with the drive through window and that is the route we usually take to get food here. My wife enjoys the salads and the gyros but I am all about the gyros. They have a number of sizes with each providing an ample meal for the price. In my experience across about two dozen visits, the meat is fresh and flavorful, the lettuce and tomato is good quality and that sauce is pleasant and tangy. I often get an order of hummus which I think is very good and the bread is always fresh. I understand the comment on the fries, as most Greek places do have the larger soggier fries and they have their desireable qualities. However, I think the fries here are fantastic. They have always (not sometimes, always) come out fresh and hot and very crispy. Crispy like the way McDonald's fries used to be when they cooked them in beef fat. I think they could use a bit more seasoning to make them even better, but I can attest that my son who is indifferent to McDonald's fries ( which are still pretty good) starts eating these fries right out of the bag on the way home. Another thing, the staff is always very friendly and the service through the drive through window has always been very fast and the order's accurate. Drive by and give it a try. read more

The best fries in the world! Everything I've gotten is so yummy!! No problem with service either.

Even though I enjoy their food, I have to bring up the constant issues regarding their customer service. First, they are not consistent with their hours. They are supposed to be open until 9:30pm throughout the week, but I have been turned away as early as 9:15-9:20 (tonight, even) with no reason. I get off work late, so me and my boyfriend make it to their drive-thru between 9pm-9:15pm. If you go earlier (lunch time), they make the kebobs with no issues. If you go through the drive thru in the evening, they will tell you it could take 5, 10, or 15 (these have ALL been answers we've received) minutes to make a kebob. We've specifically gone at 9pm to go early enough for them to make the kebobs and they say it's not enough time. It's unfortunate that they are not consistent because their food is good. read more
