a partially eaten piece of pie

We have been coming here for breakfast over the years and are never disappointed. It's a local hangout but all are welcome. At this visit I ordered the spanakopita . Delicious and more than enough for two meals. Omelets are big. Potatoes are good but extra.

Check the Specials board! Number 4 won my heart.

Hellas is a local place we have enjoyed for years. It's close, inviting, and friendly with a strong local flair. Their breakfast items have always been good and the variety is good. Something on the Specials board has always caught my eye and this Sunday afternoon brunch was no exception. What was exceptional is the intense and exotic combination in my omelet. Best I've ever had, which is saying a lot both for me and for Hellas. I've had my share of omelets over the years and we've eaten brunch at Hellas maybe a dozen times in the 20ish years we've lived in Dublin. It's always good, but this was amazing. The Specials board called it #4 and the ingredients were listed as roasted red peppers, bacon, mushrooms, capers, spinach, mozzarella, and avocado salsa. What a combination. Wish I could have eaten two of them! Thank you, Hellas.

Cranberry nut muffin cut in half and fried. Fried roasted omelet with bacon, mushrooms, spinach, red peppers, capers, and avocado sauce. The best ever fried potato I have ever had. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Owned by 3 Greek brothers in their 80s. This is a must stop to enjoy great food.

My premium omelette with awesome potatoes.

Hella-Terrific! Now THIS is a breakfast place! I had the most authentic ingredient filled omelette ever. I normally avoid omelettes in general due to the tendency to skimp at most restaurants. Not here! Perfectly cooked, not dripping in oil, real Sonia h and veggies, hot and filling. Don't get me started in their breakfast potatoes--- pure gold! I think the Greek owner cooked for Zeus because this b-fast was fit fit the gods. At $14 out the door with toast and constantly filled coffee makes this my favorite Ohio restaurant.

I've been going here for almost a year. It's one of the few breakfast spots I've found in the area that has a number of unique menu items and a lot of fresh preparation. This is an old cafe style restaurant. It's not fancy and new, but it is well maintained. They keep it clean and organized. The owner has a lot of pride in the place and it carry's forward to all the employees. Now here is why I would drive here from a long distance. If you're a brunch foodie in Columbus and cherish the mimosa and fancy seating, stay there. If you are a breakfast fanatic that loves perfectly cooked home style potatoes and smells of roasted tomatoes (their specialty), you need to head to Shawnee Hills. The omelettes are half the plate and the Greek inspired menu is the differentiator. Wait until you try the roasted tomatoes, orange peel in your omelette or the fresh spanakopita. For you breakfast sandwich types they have a pita that will give you something new. And there are plenty of other traditional items from pancakes and waffles to biscuits and gravy. I hope you like butter! ;)

Good traditional food at a comparatively good price. More to the average side and can't do 3.5 stars.

Best pancakes in C-BUS. They're dense yet fluffy and delicious. Also, the bacon is crisp and outstanding and the portions are huge.

This stop didn't disappoint. The rustic farmhouse feel is so authentic. The locations and bright and welcoming.... And then there is the food... We started with the blueberry lemon cornbread to share. It's a First Watch staple, and the butter takes it to the next level. I had the new barbacoa breakfast tacos... and they came with a side of black beans. They were delicious. The perfect amount of filling, fresh avocado on top. Such a filling and healthy start to the day. My husband had the Floridian French Toast. So much fruit on top he couldn't even finish it all. We will definitely be watching for a First Watch on our next adventure. Also to note, there was a large line to get in when we got there, but everyone was seated quickly. The friendly staff is quick and everyone was getting great service.

The servers are always quick to greet the table with coffee, which I love and offer suggestions based on taste. This morning I chose to try the lemon blueberry cornbread, biscuits with turkey sausage gravy and butter grits. The gravy and biscuits were great, I didn't feel the need to add any spices and the biscuits were beautifully fluffy. The grits were good, I'm a grits snob BTW. They were swimming in butter which I did not like at all. There was no need for that. They should be good enough to stand on their own without being overpowered by the taste of butter. The lemon blueberry cornbread was good but I couldn't find any hint of lemon in it whatsoever. The cornbread was sweet, but again there is a huge ice cream scoop of butter on top, not necessary at all. Overall it was a great breakfast with a lot of tasty notes. I will order the grits again BUT I will order them without the added butter next time. I will NOT order the cornbread again, it just didn't hit. The gravy and biscuits will be on rotation for me. These were delicious.

My family and I dined at The Pearl Dublin on December 23rd to celebrate my cousin's birthday while…read moreshe was visiting from Montreal. While there were a few minor service issues, our server was kind and attentive and acknowledged the celebration with complimentary desserts, which we truly appreciated. After dinner, my cousin and I went to wash our hands and use the restroom. At the time, all stalls were occupied and one was out of service, so we waited. When a stall opened, my cousin kindly let me go first. I finished and stood outside the stalls waiting for her for about three minutes. During that time, I noticed several people going in and out of the restroom area. I also saw a man sitting in a chair along the hallway wall near the stalls, hunched over. Shortly after, a woman exited the restroom and grabbed him to leave. I thought nothing of it and minded my own business. I also observed the executive chef enter one of the restroom stalls. When my cousin exited, she mentioned that the stall smelled strongly of smoke and that three girls had exited the stall before she entered. She said the stall smelled like marijuana but used it only because it was the only option available. She also pointed out that the man sitting outside appeared to be associated with the group who had been in the stall. We then returned to our patio table where our family was seated. Our server brought out her birthday pie along with another complimentary dessert. She blew out the candle, we shared dessert, and we began preparing to leave. A few minutes later, while we were still seated on the patio, the general manager, Nick Krafft, approached our table accompanied by Executive Chef Michael Wagner. We initially assumed he was checking in on our experience. Instead, he immediately stated, "I'm going to have to ask you not to smoke in our restaurant and bathroom," directing the accusation at my cousin and me. We were completely taken aback by both the accusation and the manner in which it was delivered. We calmly explained that it was not us and described exactly what we had observed in the restroom. We stated that neither of us smoke and never have. We even offered to have our belongings checked and explained that we had not taken any jackets or purses with us to the restroom, as our family remained at the table. Despite this, the general manager refused to listen or consider our explanation and continued to place blame on us. He did not speak to our server, who had interacted with us just moments earlier while bringing out the birthday dessert, nor did he attempt to investigate further or de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, my fiancé asked the general manager if he actually smelled smoke on either of us. He responded "yes," which was not true, and continued to push a conclusion he had already formed. No apology was offered. We spent over $1,000 celebrating a family birthday at a restaurant we had trusted and enjoyed in the past. Instead, the evening ended with my cousin's birthday being overshadowed by an unfounded accusation. There were many guests dining that evening, yet blame was placed solely on two women who had simply used the restroom. I am a Nurse Practitioner, and my cousin is a special education teacher for autistic children. Neither of us have ever smoked. Being accused in this manner was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unnecessary. I was later contacted by the regional manager, who was understanding. However, I believe this situation highlights the need for better investigation, accountability, and staff training to prevent similar experiences in the future. A personal apology from Nick, acknowledging his actions and taking accountability, would be an appropriate step forward after innocent guests were wrongly blamed and a birthday celebration was ruined.
