I used to really like this restaurant and would frequent it weekly. I enjoyed getting the pecan Parmesan crusted trout entree with tilapia. That is, until I took a bite and got broken glass in my mouth, some of which I accidentally swallowed. I stopped going there for a very long time after that. When I started ordering it again, it was rarely crispy and the breading was often falling off. The consistency I came to rely upon was gone. I no longer order the chowder as I can no longer deal with fatty undercooked bacon. Also, the bacon in the wedge salad is almost never crispy. The potatoes au gratin are hit and miss. My family and I had Easter Dinner at the Bonefish in Brick, NJ today. There were 7 of us including 2, 90+ year old Grand Dames as we fondly call them. (Not easy for them to get around anymore) Our meal was as good as it always is at Bonefish, we love it there. I just wanted to commend our server Camille M. who went above and beyond taking great care of us. She made helpful suggestions about the food and reward program, which I had forgotten I was a part of. She was attentive, helpful and had a GREAT personality. This is my favorite sea food restaurant. Even though the menu is the same as others of this chain, they step it up a bit. Our server Nick was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had one of the specials which had several different sea food items on it, giving us a good variety. Went here for the first time with my fiance on a busy Monday night, and everything was great. Our waitress Stephanie was quick, and got us everything we needed. The food was fantastic especially the calamari. The prices were not expensive at all, and they gave you big enough portions that left us both full. The free bread before our meal was an added bonus. My girlfriends and I went here last night for our monthly dinner. I hadn't been in years so I was excited because I love their Bang Bang Shrimp....it did not disappoint, it was delicious. Our waiter was great and fun. We all ordered the filet mignon. My friend and I had beautiful filets, juicy, cooked to perfection. Our girlfriend ordered the filet mignon but it looked nothing like ours. Hers was dry and looked old. Just had a horrible experience at Bonefish, the salmon came out burnt and dried out. We notified the server, she said a manager would come over. She did not. After a long wait, she came over and took the meals back. The food finally arrived and the fish was undercooked and cold. The manager came back and removed the plates. She did not offer to replace the second dishes. The server came over and told us that she removed the meals from the check. On Tuesday December 27, 2016 we called and made a reservation for 9 with two high chairs ar 5pm When we arrive they had not set up for us and when we were seated there were no high chairs! So we had to to stand with the kids for 5 min while they got the high chairs, then one didn't have a belt so they had to find one with a belt. We had TWO waitresses and we didn't get our dinner after ordering for over an hour!!!! We also asked if they can bring the kids meals out asap and nope when the meals finally came out the adults were served first and the order was wrong ! I ordered twin lobster tails and It didn't come with the drawn butter so I asked right away for it and we'll about 15 min later after asking 3 people it arrived but only after my lobster was stone cold! The waitresses were not anywhere to be found so I could even tell you what they looked like! We also asked several people for ranch for my grandsons chicken fingers and it finally arived xs3 but it took forever! Salad was serve red early then they said it wasn't ours one one of us but keep it then tried to serve it again right before dinner was served. They gave us an extra kids meal which we sent back but then they charged us for it, we had the waitress take it back and correct it. Second visit to this location. What makes this restaurant special is the attentive service and friendly staff . Food was very good, I had grilled trout and it was perfect. My wife had a special dory that she loved. Kids had Kobe burger and Thai noodles. The BFG may be a chain, but this location has superb service and consistently good food. Worth the trip. read more

Where to begin. At the beginning I guess. We walked in and the staff was hovering at hostess stand. Not very welcoming but whatever, it was 4pm on the dot so maybe we got them by surprise. Took about 7 extra mins to order, that was our decision , because the menu looked great, plus our server was all over us, which isn't a bad thing. We got shrimp app everyone loves. It was good. But that's where the arrogance of the chains come in. After we placed our order and the server found out we weren't drinking, we became less important it seemed. My fish was completely over cooked. Had the server come to check on us , they would have known, but maybe not cared. My guest's food was a complete pile of chaos. Nowhere in the description said chopped rosemary. That is a great assumption everyone loves chopped rosemary and a pile of shredded carrots on their seafood. At no time did the server ask us how things were and was not very professional. Meanwhile the weird seaside heights clubbing music was blaring while the hostess was dancing and singing about 3 yards away from my suspected microwaved expensive fish. The server finally took my fish away 10% eaten , and asked if I wanted it wrapped . I said no thank you and I asked if it was grilled. I got a " yea" over their shoulder.It was obvious there was something wrong. Had there been a supervisor around , I'm sure none of this would have happened. For the first time I'm motivated to write a review. This Sunday we went to one of our favorite restaurant Bone Fish in Brick. I was told wait time would be about 20-30 minutes. Not a problem, we patiently waited for over 30 minutes. Wife and kids stared to complain, I seen people came after us and seated already. I thought to myself, maybe they call in. Wife had my son went up to ask front desk, they said very soon. Ok, few more just came in sat down. I went up myself and ask why everyone seated but us, there's hardly anyone waiting and many open tables. Your pager must not be working, we sat and waited inside. We sat right away. Than the server took longer than normal to visit our table. When he did come, we order apps, drinks and our dinner. I, also mentioned how long we waited to be seated. Our apps came before plates, drink and water. Waiter came around many time to next table and never refill my son's soda. I had to tell him after he place all dinners on table and ready to walk away before he realized soda empty. No one asked how our dinner was. We had one of the best waiter experiences here, even my son complimented how great he was. I MUST SAY THE FOOD IS STILL VERY GOOD. But I must say management is a very big concern. Made the trip to this Bonefish grill just to try a different Bonefish Grill. We usually go to the Manalapan Bonefish, but wanted to try a different one. We will not be going back! We always get the saucy shrimp, it's our favorite thing to get at Bonefish. What we got at Brick Bonefish was not what we get at other Bonefish Grills, it was cheap on the shrimp, and cheap on the cheese and sundried tomatoes, but had an enormous amount of sauce "almost running over the edge of the plate" that tasted like some cheap spaghetti sauce. I give it three stars not because of the food but the staff. I called to make a reservation on a Saturday and the girl who I spoke to was rude. Not acceptable in my book. When we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes for a table and the three hostesses were miserable! Not friendly, no smiles, no welcome: nothing. These are the first people you see when you walk in, so I'm overly nice; it throws them off. Apps there are always great. Bang Bang Shrimp, Fried Calamari, Tuna Sashimi. I went for the crab cake and steak for dinner . One crab cake: didn't like it at all. It was tiny and mushy; no substance to it. Steak was perfect. My hubby had fish and chips which he enjoyed. Stopped for a drink with my girl friend, I'm 64 years old so I'm not a beginner. All was going well till I went to the men's room. The seat on the bowl was smeared with shit, their were a pair of underwear on the floor all full of shit.. Someone was not having a real good nite. I lost my appetite and almost thru up. I returned to my seat at the bar and told my partner what happened. I then went to the hostess station and asked for the manager, she came out and I showed her the picture of this shitfest I saw. She saw wait a minute a disappeared, she came back and said I had to pay for the one wine and one draft I had at happy hour. The bar was full and we couldn't eat the food after the stomach turning experience. Then it got out of hand, all the people at the bar joined in and said it may have just happened and it wasn't their fault. The manager really fucked it up, I did it discreetly. All the would have said is in sorry and your one wine and one draft and the shrimp is on us. But no they turn it into a scene in the restaurant. I payed my bill in full as that what they gave me. Totally poor more than poor customer service. That manager should be relieved of her job ASAP, as if she did the right thing all would have been quite and forgotten but now I will telling and sending that disgusting picture to everyone of my Facebook friends and even people who are not my friends. read more

Went there with two other couples, it was our first time eating at Bonefish Grill after hearing how good Bonefish Grill is, unfortunately we were not impressed. My husband and I both got the grouper and it was tasteless. The restaurant looks very nice inside but the tables are sitting on top of each other and it makes it VERY noisy it made it difficult to have a conservation. For the prices there are too many other places I would recommend. Don't think we will return too soon. read more

Was there on Easter Food was good waiter was efficient but three problems were 1- Cannot use the front door as use a cane and have mobile issues and staff were very rude when asked to use regular door by their reservation desk. and 2- waiter would not let us enjoy our dessert as he stood there until we filled out the LONG survey and 3 - why oh why must we rush the salad every time to keep up with your schedule of delivery of entre??? otherwise food is good and value is fair. read more

The service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes to get a drink and when the Bloody Mary's came they were not good. They were so thick it was difficult to drink. Everyone kept apologizing and still service did not improve. The bus girls are not trained to bring any food or drinks over. This is a mistake and waste of resources.
