Bojangles used to be a favorite, but I haven't been there in years. The fries were too salty. The cole slaw was pretty good. The sweet potato pie was pretty good, but not as good as I remembered it. My wife thought the chicken was good: KFC level. I didn't try any of it on its own, so I'm not sure. I made the mistake of ordering a chicken biscuit sandwich, as I used to like that here. It turned out that it was a Cajun chicken biscuit, though: too spicy for me. My wife gave me some chicken to put inside the biscuits (her meal came with one too), and that's most of what I ate. I do wish they gave you butter and honey for your biscuits, as that's delicious. Those biscuits are particularly messy to eat with your hands. We spent $18.06 for the two of us. If it was not for wifey really liking Bojangles, We would have went somewhere else. The chicken was hot and tantilizing so were the fish sandwich and fries. The food was worth the wait but the service was the worst Ive had. We came during lunch and there a 12 minute wait for for chicken. The cashier was at the drive thru on her telephone while we waited and waited for her to take our order. There were several workers present but no food was moving out. I was flabbergasted with the service not the food. The food was excellent! This is the only Bojangles in the area and it should just close down. This is the era we live in. Greek tasting chicken with very crispy and light crust. Better than other drive through chicken restaurant chains by far.

We came in for breakfast to try a Bo-Rito, a large flour tortilla packed with sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs, hash brown rounds and sausage gravy. I'm going to say large again because this was enough for two people. It was good but the biscuit sandwiches are still the best morning fare, fluffy and fresh baked. So after milton we did disaster relief catering and were driving back from new Smyrna. Nothing anywhere was open Thursday. Even buccees didn't have food. Food is always good but the service left something to be desired as well as the cleanliness of the dining room. The bathroom had feces smeared all over the bathroom floor so that you had to be careful not to step in it. The dining room floor had not been swept in what looked like for months and the tables weren't clean either. I felt dirty after sitting in the cleanest booth and it was at 930 in the morning! Stopped in on the way to the beach, needed a little bit of carbs and some protein and that's easily fulfilled at a chicken joint no matter the time of the day. Today it was a country ham biscuit, out of habit I ordered the meal even though I'm not a fan of their half dollar size hash browns but I needed a drink so rounded up it's probably the same cost. We decided to eat inside to avoid getting crumbles on the seats and grease on the steering wheel. The counter person was definitely a morning person she was extremely outgoing, energetic and very friendly I'd guess she was either high on life or hyped on caffeine she was like a second cup of coffee to me. Although they had been open a few hour the dining area was spic and span clean not that I'd eat off the floor but I'd say the five second rule may apply here. The breakfast sandwich was simple a premium slice of country ham and a delicate light buttery biscuit, I got a Dr. Pepper in lieu of any red-eye gravy if that's even an option and yes I drank half a cup before refilling and finding a booth window side. Two country biscuit meals totaled a little over $12, a bargain in my options considering it was served warm as if it was freshly made. We don't have any Bojangles where I live so my experience with this chain has only been when I'm traveling but I do like them - how much depends on the options there is a Chick-fil-A across the street so I guess I like this place more than I thought. For fast food fried chicken it's pretty good. The chicken was moist and seasoned properly. The sides of Mac&Cheese was ok not terrible. The mashed potatoes with gravy were satisfying. It's such a sad day for the Johns family. Our beloved Bojangles in St. Augustine Florida has become another FAILING fast food restaurant. I remember the grand day it opened several years back. Our hour drive from Daytona Beach to was filled with excitement and cheer. Just the thought of that spicy chicken biscuit or the delicious steak biscuit along with the scrumptious Bo rounds was at times almost overwhelming. Well that time has now passed. The last 3-4 visits have been heart breaking to say the least. These last few visits have left us devastated, yes my friends, devastated!! The lobby is always locked up (unless someone from the "main office " is there, the employees are horrible, and the wait-time for your mediocre food gives "fast food" a bad name. I know this "what used to be" fine southern establishment will soon be just another eyesore seen in passing along highway 16 off of I-95. To my Carolina friends, I apologize!! Florida may never truly know or understand the meaning of "true southern spicy chicken" or the joy of being greeted with a big "Welcome to Bojangles" It's BoTime. In closing, I will just say this, like every successful, or in this tragic case failing business it starts from the top. We stopped for breakfast biscuits on our way to Jacksonville on a Sunday morning. We went inside and there was no one ahead of us. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich. John ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich combo with lemonade. I got an awful sweet tea. We waited 10 minutes for the biscuits to be cooked. Breakfast was awesome! I would have preferred lunch, but it was too early. Our cashier, Ieshia, suggested a supreme combo. Cajun strips & fries and graciously had the kitchen make them for me. Bojangles finally reach Florida. I has this chain of restaurants 2 years ago at North Carolina. Now they have restaurants at northern Florida. Bojangles has their independent building with it own parking lot for fried chicken. This fried chicken joint has good crispy coating and spicy seasoning. I like their chicken because the spicy flavor is actually on the meat not just coating. We have three pieces and two pieces meat combo. It come with choices of side. We love their dirty rice side. I ain't been to Bojangles since Jesus was a baby. I cruised through the drive-thru and ordered me a sausage biscuit breakfast combo thing. I pulled up, threw my money at the lovely lady, and got my food. That sausage biscuit was prolly the best thing I ever put in my mouth. Hot, soft, and pillowy with a slight crunch to the top. Oh so buttery. I had to park my truck. I was gonna have one of those moments that can get you arrested. At first I wasn't sure about those tater tot things. They were big for a tot and round. Only four? Four was enough. Big, crunchy, and fried to perfected. So good I forgot to put ketchup on them. I did order an extra biscuit for a proper taste test. A little extra butter and some jam. I have always been a fan of the Bo. Give me a sweet tea and some biscuits and honey and I'm set. I stopped here while on a road trip with a friend and we were fortunate enough to be able to dine in. The set up for us was different than some. We ordered and found a table- you're not able to get your own drink which is fine, they get it for you. The person who made ours yelled out my name and when I signaled him over he said, "I can't do that." And he dropped it in this center area. Now that's fine but I noticed his teammates bringing food to other people's tables which I thought odd. Additionally, I went up for a plasticware and honey and was greeted with a , "what do you need". Was just very abrupt and not really friendly while everyone else seemed to be enjoying their work day so overall this kid was really killing the mood at this place. But one thing that you cant ever kill is the taste of these freaking biscuits man. I would die for this biscuits and wish I had one with me right now. We were staying at the Courtyard hotel next to Bojangles. Stop by Bojangles to get dinner. Big mistake on our part. We like the sweet potatoes pies. We needed 3 they had 1. They said they would cook some more 10 min wait. We felt like they did us a favor for serving us what on the menu. So we try the next afternoon since it was so close to the hotel. Same answer we have 1 left. We wanted 3 The girl at the counter told us that they were out of stock and could not cook any this time. They were also out of tea to drink. Had to settle for less. We were leaving the next morning we saw where there was a special 2 biscuit's for $5.00. We pass the up and his time and went to another restaurant and it was Great. First time eating at a Bojangles pulled up in the drive-through waited nine minutes for the person in front of me to order after was done ordering we pulled up and waited another 3 to 4 minutes our order three times could not hear us pull up to the window paid gutter drinks half full ordered ordered a large meal got medium drinks because they ran out of large cups and went to go put the straw in my drink and there was only half a cup of soda in a medium cup so I sat and waited, asked for my soda to be filled up properly employee at the window was very rude and dismissed me after handing me a cup of soda back that was still half empty and simply just told me to park in spot number one and slammed the window closed will not be returning lack of respect and management. I am going to start this review by saying how super duper excited we were to find out there is finally a location near us!! Well sort of near us but we visit St. Augustine several times throughout the year. I was referred to this restaurant years ago when I traveled for conference. I introduced my husband to Bojangles years ago when we went on a road trip and now he is obsessed! We visited when we arrived in town and before we left. The restaurant was immaculate! Maybe because it was new but seriously, one of the cleanest fast food places I ever saw! And don't get me started on the bathroom. I went to wash my hands and stopped dead in my tracks after entering. I was in total shock so I didn't think to take pictures. I have never been in a bathroom so immaculate and zen like! I mean there was a staff member I think polishing the silver doors and I think the floors too! There was lotion and mints provided for customers as well. The food is always filling, soulful, and delicious! I always order sausage and cheese on a biscuit with extra biscuits. My husband orders bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit, along with a chicken biscuit. If you go, it will be a waste without having a biscuit. Always get the biscuit. They serve jams and honey as options with the biscuits but I eat it just plain. The staff were a little unprofessional but still fun. They were happy and joking around with each other, which honestly, I would rather see than anger and negative attitudes. I actually received extra hash brown tots (I forget the name of them) because I was patient and they took rather long to serve. The mashed & gravy is amongst my favorite for fast food type places. I can eat a gallon bucket of it. The grilled chicken was pretty good. Could be my go-to. So this was my second opportunity to dine from this location. As usual I went through the drive-thru and there was a bit of a line. We placed our order and received it within a reasonable amount of time. When we got up to the window to receive our order they went to give me someone else's order and I had to clarify what was in my order. The person working in the window apologized and spoke to someone else and they all seemed generally confused about what was what. They handed me a drink that they weren't sure was the one that went with her order and told us to check it to make sure it was the right one. As we were quite hungry we pulled into a space to enjoy our meal. We open the bag to check things and all our food was there and correct. The only problem I had at this point was that my order included coleslaw and they did not include a fork for me. I also realized no one had asked if we wanted any type of sauce and I would have liked some of the hot sauce for my meal. Since you can't go inside I didn't deem it to be worthwhile to get back in the Drive-Thru line to just get a fork as the line had grown quite a bit longer. Because of this it was near impossible for me to eat and enjoy the coleslaw. The restaurant meal was still quite good although the chicken didn't quite have as much flavor as the first time that I dined here and the french fries were slightly overcooked. I typically frequent the Bojangles in Sanford, but wanted to give this location a try. I was pretty surprised by the quality difference - the tenders and sauces at this location are frozen/premade compared to the fresh tenders and house-made sauces in Sanford. You can absolutely see and taste the difference. Additionally, the fries I ordered with my meal were super stale. On the plus side, the biscuit was excellent (no notes) and the customer service was really pleasant and polite. I think the main issue at this location is product ordering/stocking choices, which I assume are choices made by the manager(s). Would highly the manager(s) visit the Sanford location and follow take notes on the food quality! read more

Bojangles has been closing restaurants in the area. We were in St. Augustine and stopped by to pick some up for tail gating. We tried to order the 20 piece but the worker said they "couldn't sell" any of their larger family meals because the manager and area director told the employees they need to "save the chicken" for other customers throughout the day. I was so excited when we passed a freaking Bojangles headed into St. Augustine that I said we MUST stop here for dinner after! When we pulled up we had our window down and the person in front of us waited for a good 5-10 minutes to even order. When it was our turn to get up they took a while to get to us and made us repeat the order quite a bit. The guy also seemed bothered by us, but hey it's 8pm. I feel you dude. When we got up to the window and he handed out our teas my husband asked which one was unsweet and which was sweet. Dude goes, "I think this one but I don't know." Spoiler alert... his guess was wrong. When we were ordering we asked for medium dirty fried rices not knowing that we couldn't order a medium. Imagine our surprise when a sample of dirty fried rice was in our bag. We asked the guy if it was a medium and he said oh no, we don't do mediums.... well good to know because I would have gone for a LARGE friend! We had to wait for him to come back to window because there were no sporks in the bag and no napkins. As we were driving down the road we tasted our fries and they were not seasoned...
