The fried green tomatoes, however, were pretty excellent except they fell apart easily and a lot of pieces hit the table before they got into our mouths. Alas, the thing that ended up irking me the most was that I was charged $3.29 per cup of decaf coffee. You read that right - per cup. I was alarmed when I saw that on the bill, especially since they didn't have any cream despite serving brunch there until 4pm (we arrived at 2:30pm). That had to be a mistake, right? No fancy syrups...just decaf. I asked our server about it and she confirmed that it was per cup. Had I known that, I would have gotten something else - the drink specials were less than what I paid! I got the double cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. The flavor of the burger was amazing, and everything complemented each other perfectly. 10/10 The fries were hot, fresh, perfectly crispy, and had great seasoning. 8/10 by themselves and 9/10 with ranch. Their homemade ranch was another banger. I dipped both my fries and burger in it, and it took the whole meal to another level. 10/10 The mac and cheese was a different take on the classic, and I wasn't complaining. But I am so limited in what I may eat, that I had to ask for a plain hamburger and grilled mushrooms--cooked on a space that that was freshly cleaned off on the grill. I was so wrapped up in explaining this to very patient counterlady McKenzie (I believe) that I forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table--brought singly out by Fernando (I believe)--I realized that I hadn't asked for the lettuce or tomato and I mumbled that to myself. But, I did not ask outright! Lo and behold, not a minute later Fernando appears with a plate of lettuce and tomato. How terrifically caring is that!?!?! And my burger was perfectly cooked and I did not have a bad reaction which means McKenzie got all the instructions exactly right and the chefs did exactly right, too! I thank all the staff very much! I wasn't excited about another chicken tenders place and more on the way. This is much better than your standard KFC. The strips are nice size and they offer about 20 different sauces. The staff is very friendly and it's new and clean inside. There is also outdoor seating in case you bring the dog. What we had: 4 Tendie Combo - I had the Thai sweet & spices sauce and the Creole honey mustard. The tenders were perfectly cooked and tender. The crinkle cut fries were crisp - just like I like them. The sauces were perfect. 2 Chick'ito Combo - my friend had one with buffalo sauce and another with the chimichurri ranch. He said both were very good and he got Jalepebo ranch for dipping the fries. We will be back to try some of the other offerings. Next up will be the burrito for me.
