Girl Dinner special
India H.

If you're looking for things to do around Park Avenue in Winter Park, Boca Kitchen is definitely a spot to keep on your list! I stopped in on a Thursday specifically to try their Ladies' Night Out "Girl Dinner" special, and for $15, I thought it was such a cute little deal. It comes with a small Caesar salad, truffle fries, and a charcuterie-style sampling with cheese and meat served on baguette. It's the perfect amount if you want a few bites while catching up with your girlfriends without committing to a full dinner. They also offer $7 drink specials, including cocktails like a Cosmopolitan and Dirty Martini, which makes the whole experience pretty affordable for a night out on Park Avenue. The Ladies' Night Out special is offered on Thursdays from 4-10 PM, so if you're looking for a cute and inexpensive way to start your weekend a little early, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Overall, Boca has a really great menu, but I especially love that they offer specials like this. Good food, cocktails, and Park Avenue with your girlfriends for a reasonable price? I'm here for it!

Magical dining menu

This is the first restaurant I tried for magical dining besides Mordisco (with the help of Yelp!). The ambiance inside looks so nice. It seems more romantic than casual but not a fully romantic place. I had the tomato salad, butchers cut (was an 8 0z flat steak), and the orange vanilla crème brûlée. Our server Emily was so friendly, nice and knowledgeable. She really was such a pleasure to have as our server! The food was so good! I loved the steak and that tomato salad -omg if you love tomatoes-just get it! The vanilla orange crème brûlée I didn't like though. It tasted like egg with a flick of orange. I honestly didn't know if I was gonna like it or not but yea. No thank you. I love creme brûlée normally but I am picky with the flavor of it so that may have had something to do with it. Other than that though, so good!!! I'd definitely come back even without the magical dining. It was a great way to try the place out without fully committing. So happy I got the chance to experience magical dining with them.

Came here on two separate occasions. Once for a group dinner and the other for lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. Did the dinner influence the lunch plan? Yes, yes it did. Firstly, the have a little backroom that can easily accommodate a fairly large group. I sat back there for both the dinner and lunch. Everything me and my colleagues as well as friends and family ate on my two occasions tasted amazing. My lunch poke bowl tasted SO fresh. The cocktails were great. All of the flatbreads ordered were unique in flavor. I love a very flat flatbread pizza and this one did not disappoint. My sister loved the burger. The staff was extremely friendly from the hostess stand to the service. If anything, my only tip is give yourself time. Parking can be a nightmare on Park Ave. especially on the weekends and the service can be a little delayed but still friendly as mentioned. I had a good time on both of my visits!

Ladies Night dinner!

I finally got to try Boca's Ladies Night special on Thursday. It comes with a mini charcuterie, ceaser salad and truffle fries. The perfect portions for a hot girl dinner! I also got a side of grilled chicken for the salad. A side a chicken is pretty bland at restaurants, but I was thoroughly surprised by how flavorful it was. Wonderful service and great ambiance. Will definitely come back for another ladies night!

Came here for magical dining to have a meal with friends. The staff here were super nice and helpful. The food here was not impressive as the drinks. We got the steak fritas and I felt like I could have made this at home. Fries were over cooked and we had to send them back. The desserts were okay as well. This would be a great happy hour place and maybe get some apps but overall the food was okay.

I've been to Boca a few times and my experience never seems to be quite up to par with expectations. This time I visited for magical dining and my meal was hit and miss. I ordered the meal with Milanese Chicken Breast and the chicken was a bit over cooked. I ate my meal but my friends had to send back parts of their meals because they were over cooked as well. Although my entree was not very good, my heirloom tomatoes salad starter and the southern orchard crunch dessert were pretty tasty. My spritzer was good too. The wait staff is always very nice and personable and the restaurant is well kept and clean. I will likely return in the future but it won't be my first choice for dinner.

Went for magical dining and food was just ok. Our waiter Matthew was great but it was a long wait for the food. They didn't seem prepared for the amount of people who came in for magical dining and ran out of dessert options. The restaurant itself was clean and cute. Nothing special nothing horrible. Overall just fine.

Service from the bartenders were great! Vibe for happy hour was nice. Wish there were more options for food. The truffle fries are okay but the ahi tuna crisps were great!

Another great brunch at Boca! My mom and I came in and had a good experience. Service was great. We both enjoyed their cappuccinos. I had the farmhouse breakfast and it was fantastic. My eggs were cooked perfectly and it was a great portion. The restaurant is pretty and clean. This is one of our favorite brunch spots!

Stopped in here for brunch after seeing the line for that Briar place lol. This was PERFECT!!! I would come here again hands down. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I got zucchini fries and the chefs whimsy muffin- which was strawberry! YUM! 10/10 all around experience.

this place is really cute and i wish i tried their bottomless mimosas. the pig and a bee flatbread was YUM it was basically a meat pizza but it was delish. the parmesan truffle fries were also very good but you can't rlly go wrong w those. the brie and apple flatbread was okayyyy i didn't eat much of it but i didn't think it was amazing. the biscuits and gravy was questionable. im a self-branded biscuits and gravy connoisseur; i know what it's supposed to taste like and this was not it. not sure what it was about it but i was not its biggest fan and it wasn't necessarily bad it was just... odd

My friends and I visited Boca on Sunday for a nice bach brunch. We were very excited to try the food after one of our friends highly recommended this spot for the great ambience, drink selection, and tasty food options. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice older gentleman who ensured we found a seat within minutes. Our server, Matthew, was STELLAR and made us feel right at home. We ordered the lobster wontons and zucchini fries with green goddess sauce to start and WOW how yummy ! Definitely order MORE of the wontons- those are a 5-star starter. I ordered the Crab Benny for my meal and my friends ordered the Steak and Eggs, the braised tacos, and the knife and fork breakfast sandwich. My dish was the perfect portion and quite filling without feeling super heavy. My friend's braised pork tacos with the street corn were perfect. My other girlfriend's order, the breakfast sandwich, was a generous plate and brimming with flavor. However, the steak and eggs entrees fell flat for my other 2 friends. One ordered her steak medium and the meat was overcooked. The other ordered medium rare, and while it certainly looked like it, the steak was entirely too tough to enjoy. I also noticed that the breakfast potatoes were a little hard. We shared our disappointment with Matthew and he did his very best to accommodate us and correct the error. The customer service was amazing, I was very pleased with how they handled the feedback, especially after they comped the two steak meals and took the time to take our critiques seriously. Where the steaks fell flat, our server Matthew and the manager, Alexis, saved the day! Despite that mishap, the entire experience was extremely pleasant and I look forward to returning and giving another entree a shot.

This was a brunch stop. Parking can be tricky when a festival is going on. We made reservations. Seated right away. It's an airy open concept. They offer a nice size bar area and outdoor seating. We started with a Fritz Tree, mixed with Limoncello, Butterfly Elderflower and Hibiscus Grapefruit flavors and the Oversized Cinnamon Roll. Wow! The spritz were delicious, not too sweet. The cinnamon was perfection and a nice shareable size. For our main dish we ordered the House-Cured salmon Lox. It's served charcuterie style which really liked when sharing. The Crab Benedict was also a great choice and delicious.

Ask the Community - Boca

Where can I find their Brunch menu with prices? The one at their site does not show pricing and can find no images or pdf anywhere online.

Do they have bottomless mimosas for brunch?

When we went pre-COVID, it was $15 for bottomless. Not sure if anything has changed.

Is there a happy hour, and if so, days/times?

I recommend you call Boca directly and ask. Right now, many restaurants may not have set schedules like before. The last time I went the menu was limited.

Is there a private room or space for a group of 10-12 people?

Not sure about a "private room" but they could probably block off the back dining area (just past the kitchen window) to some extent to keep a generalized location for your group. The restrooms are also in that area though so it would likely have to…

What's the champagne brunch special? It gives the hours on the website but no information on pricing or what it includes.

$15 for bottomless mimosas. Orange, grapefruit, and pineapple.

Does Boca allow me to bring bottle of wine and pay a corking fee ? We have a special bottle and would like to be able to have it with dinner :) thanks !

Thanks for reaching out. Yes you can bring your own wine. The corkage fee is $20. Enjoy your dinner.

Are there any Vegan options?

Hello Pam thanks for asking! We have vegan Wednesday's, which features a vegan staff meal for lunch…

The menu was extremely limited -- only three appetizers, two of which were salads, and the third (brussels sprouts) wasn't even available. The entrées and desserts were also limited to three options each. For a $60 per‑person dining event, we expected a memorable meal, but the service was slow and the wait between courses was unusually long. We also weren't informed ahead of time that parties larger than six are automatically charged an added tip percentage. The atmosphere and interior were beautiful, but the food itself didn't match the price or the occasion. My chicken entrée was shockingly small -- essentially the size of a single chicken wing -- served with six small red potatoes in sauce. It didn't feel like a $60 dish in any way. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering it was meant to be a special birthday dinner for my mom. This isn't meant to be harsh, just honest feedback. I truly hope management takes this seriously and improves both the menu and the service for future Magical Dining guests.

An apropos name for a gastropub in the heart of Winter Park Village, The Hangry Bison had been on my list to try for awhile. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our time, in large part because of the great service by Emi. She was attentive, engaging, personable, and professional. We also enjoyed the food cooked to order and the comfortable seating area. To start, our appetizer of soft pretzels and beer cheese arrived and was quickly shared (devoured - I was fortunate to get a picture). The warm, cheese-covers pretzels were solid, and a good choice to carry us through until our main courses arrived. I ordered the Build Your Own Burger, medium, complete with a write-on menu to check off my choices. Sweet potato fries asked me to try them out along with the Bison burger, which I had never eaten. My Bison burger with minimal extras and the Bourbon glaze looked appetizing, and the flavor of the burger held its own. Plenty of sweet potato fries joined the burger on the plate, and I enjoyed their slightly firm exterior with the soft, sweet interior. Even the leftovers tasted good two days later. I ordered and enjoyed The Soldiers Lemonade, but wished I had started drinking it sooner than later due to the crushed ice. The warm night quickly melted it. We agreed that we'd return again for the burgers, comfortable atmosphere, and great service.

It was literally bitter sweet, with the sweetness coming from the fruits, and the bitterness most likely from the liquor. It was still a good and refreshing drink. For the appetizer, I had to try their unique and popular pork belly s'mores. It looked like a dessert, but a sweet and savory dish. The pork belly was braised nicely and tender, with the marshmallow adding the sweetness. The homemade crackers were very nice, and the jalapeno added a nice kick. The main dish was the bourbon chicken. It was nicely tender and had a hint of sweetness from the bourbon. The rice went well with the chicken, and the broccolini was perfectly grilled. For dessert, the bread pudding with ice cream was a perfect end. Moist and delicious. It was getting full, so I was able to save some and enjoy at home too. The service was attentive with my bartender checking up with me occasionally. They were quite busy, but still friendly. The dining area looked dark and a bit more formal than last time I visited. The pasta was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The only thing I could say that would make it even better was if it was a little less salty. The mushrooms really carried through, the sauce was creamy, and the micro greens helped brighten up the brown color palate. The desert, I love bread puddings and this had a modern twist. The ambiance of the patio, looking over Lake Ivanhoe was truly lovely. My eggs were nicely cooked and my wife raved about her potatoes and the flavor of the fried chicken. The bad: it was a tale of two biscuits. The biscuit in my wife's chicken and biscuit meal was undercooked and raw in the middle. The biscuit with my biscuits and gravy meal was apparently baked and then broiled and rendered into a dry and brittle hockey puck. Both biscuits eternally disappointing. The ugly: Service. We dined outside in the patio area, but not before a near-15 minute wait to get the host's attention to get a seat. We arrived at approximately 1:15pm and the brunch service ends at 2:30. Once seated, we noted that the only other customers in the patio with us just received their check. After another 15-20 minutes I went inside to let someone know that we were either ready to order or leave. I went back to my table only to overhear our waiter complain to the host that he was too busy with a 6-top inside to concern himself with any customers in the patio. Seconds later, water was delivered and our order was taken. The food took an eternity and finally came to us at 2:15. Then we were abandoned. No one checked on us and at 2:40, I went back into the restaurant to get someone's attention to get a take away box and our check. The insult to injury was the check was presented and my wife's meal was charged $3 more than the menu price. They made that right, but it was still yet another fail in the overall experience. That was our experience. We hope your mileage Varys for the better
