Management is a BIG issue here. They lack a good leader and you can tell instantly when you walk in how disorganized this place really is. The General Manager,Leland Lewis, is horrendous and very loud. He watched our table the whole time, to see when we will get up to re-seat the table. We weren't even there for more than 1 hour. BIG TURN OFF!! Servers have shirts out, greasy hair, not clean cut at all, shirts not ironed looks tossed in a drier and worn out. One was even torn, which I noticed as he passed our table. Maybe this is the farmer boy aka server approach to the theme, which doesn't work on Park Ave. I have a shop a block down and know how the clientele is especially if you're paying $18 for a cocktail. My suggestion to the owner other than hire a new guy to run your place, if you're paying high costs for your listed menu items at least look presentable not arrogantly hairy and unclean. Have the area where I dine and place my feet clean. The glass had a piece of dry lettuce still stuck to the side when it was handed to me, by our server Jon. My silverware had water stains on it and not polished. Flies are an obvious issue. Fix it. Food, the concept of American Cuisine on Park Ave is a plus. Kuddos on that! I would like to see more items with onions maybe onion rings as a choice of side rather than fries or sweet potato chips. Options, give us options. Truffle Lobster Mac & Cheese or your rendition of boca shepards pie would sound dreamy. Just drooling thinking about it. Lobster claw platter or a meat platter that has lobster, steak, chicken and fish for us meat lovers who come in with big groups that want to try everything. Flatbread was burned around the corners, but for the most part I loved it and ate around the black parts. Salad was off the wall and it was great. Not a big fan of house made dressing, but to be fair they make great salad dressings.The truffle fries are too salty. Great fries, but over kill on the cheese and salt maybe turn it down a degree for the perfect balance. BE CONSISTENT is my advice, which is something Boca lacks. Last but not least, your dessert options are dull and boring. The Burger King down the road has better options and that's pretty sad. read more

Not a fan of blogging. Came here this evening with my husband. Not busy at all more so dead, but it's Monday so it's understandable. Stood at the hostess stand for about 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged to be seated. Not a good start. My entree came out and the portion size was ridiculously small for the enormous price they are charging. My husbands entree looked sloppy and his portion also was less than average. We took three bites into our meal and we both were done. Too salty and bland is how I can describe it. Everything was salty, which left us very thirsty. Maybe they do this to make their guests drink more alcohol. It took our server another 20 minutes just to get us water to get this awful aftertaste out of our mouth. Comparable to other restaurant we visit weekly on this strip it's outrageous how you can get the same burger blocks down for less. We thought okay maybe it's the ingredients and they use something else. Nope, it's the same beef! Not worth it at all. Better restaurants on Park Ave that have friendlier staff and better food that are reasonable for what they are charging. Pay attention to your guests and be reasonable on portion size or people will start taking business elsewhere like we are. Boca's motto should be, "Nothing that will leave a memorable experience and far from impressive." read more

Being a native of Winter Park means I've dined on Park Ave. and strolled it on many occasions. Just about every time, I see a new place holding up residence on Canton and N. Park Ave. No business can outlast a 6 month window which is why the locals like to joke and say that corner is cursed. WELL NOT ANY LONGER! Boca is here and they are here to STAY! The decor is classy and chic, ambiance is perfect, and the food is OFF THE CHARTS. Whenever I choose to sit at a table I always request Sarah and now my new favorite Toby. Both servers make dining there a real experience and have some awesome suggestions. But if I see Chantal or her sister Sierra behind the bar I'll take a seat there and have the best bar experience than at any other bar on Park Ave. and that's something to be proud of! These girls have got it all and make the drinks PERFECT! I have a blast every time I chat with the two of them. All in all, there isn't anything in Winter Park that competes with this place in any category. Boca is the new restaurant alpha of Park Ave. Cheers! read more

This is my second review and my first review was taken off due to communication failure with booking a party, so I decided to give this place a second shot and actually dine here. I read up more on the location before I came in through a review by Orlando Weekly and was excited to learn Jake Brenchley created a great menu. We get to Boca and everything is kosher till we get a horrible Napa flatbread completely burned on the edges and soggy in the middle. My friends ordered other things that were ok and I asked our waitress if I could speak to the chef. The waitress responded would you like to speak to Mike or Angel? I explained to her I would like to speak to Chef Jake and she informed me that Jake is no longer with the company due to personal reasons with Boca. I was very disappointed that Chef Jake is no longer associated with Boca Winter Park. That should tell you a lot when this location has surpassed many chefs and none of them have stood around longer than a year. Boca has officially become my new favorite brunch spot! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was perfect, and our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. We decided to take her suggestions for our order, and boy, are we glad we did! The first dish she recommended was chicken and waffles, something neither of us would have picked on our own. But WOW, it completely blew us away. The crispy chicken thigh paired with the Belgian pearl sugar waffle and bourbon maple syrup was a sweet and savory combo that hit all the right notes. That said, my absolute favorite was the house-cured salmon lox. It was so fresh, it almost tasted like sashimi--no smoky flavor, just pure, amazing taste. The deconstructed presentation was perfect, and the herbed cream cheese was to die for. We also tried the lobster wontons, which were delicious, though I wouldn't call them a must-have like the other dishes. And let's not forget the espresso martini--it was absolutely spot on. I had a great experience at Boca! We were seated promptly at 7:45 for our reservation. Boca is usually really loud, but we were there on a Tuesday and it wasn't very busy. Our server was prompt and personable. We ordered lobster wontons, which came with a citrus soy glaze. It was good but I would opt for other appetizers next time. For our entrees, I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and my friend ordered the braised pork tacos. I always order the gnocchi, and it was absolutely perfect this time. It was the perfect sweet and savory balance. For dessert, we ordered the orange crème brûlée. It wasn't too sweet and the crunch on top was unreal. It was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time! I highly recommend Boca if you're in the Winter Park area! read more

Took the family for lunch Friday 30th to Briarpatch. The line was 30 min long and they were nasty to us. Walked down the street to Boca and what a wonderful welcome they gave us. Accommodated all 7 of us. The food was awesome and the service even better. You have to check out the back room with all the fresh lettuce growing on the walls and see all the local produce they use for the meals. The place is elegant but welcoming. The decor is beautiful. Everyone's lunch was perfect. This is going to be my favorite restaurant from now on. Can wait to bring our best friends to enjoy the place again and again and again. read more

Asked to speak to gm and was told he's been missing in action for a week, but contact corporate if we have any issues. Who would ever state that to a customer unless you're trained by a moron? The service is pour and looking at the older reviews it's something they are known for apparently. Took a long time to get my order. I got irradiated seeing other people get food before us and we were there longer. We could have just called Panera to walk it over and deliver faster than the service at Boca. Could this place be any better? What Park Avenue was really missing! My girls and I came in on Thursday and had dinner. Chef Jake was amazing with his Lobster Pot Pie creation and the Napa Flat bread is TO DIE FOR!!!! Later our server let us know that it's ladies night upstairs at their other concept Park Social a totally cool concept 60's and 70's lounge. We were greeted with free champagne and that itself was shocking. Great staff and service. I recommend and will be back. read more

I frequent this bar often and just about every time I've had the pleasure of being taken care of by Chantel. She's a fantastic bartender and really does this place some good. Any question I have she's able to answer and she can make one hell of a drink (and did I mention strong?). Food is also a huge plus. Had the duck a week or two ago and it was out of this world. Great Service ! As a family with kids , we don't get out a lot & don't always get the best service as we seem a inconvenience . But this was not case last Sunday. Why do they have Yellowfin Tuna BIBIMBAP on their menu when they have no idea what culture kimchi is from or how to even pronounce the words correctly. This restaurant doesn't have the quality of a high-end establishment. It's in a very nice location, but the food itself isn't up to par. The wine glasses are dirty, the service is very slow, and the food is just okay, but it should be better, especially considering it's located in an area with other good restaurants.
