I'm a pulled pork gal myself, so I always order that with mac & cheese and I'm always happy. Drinks: I'm a beer drinker, and their craft beer selection is absolutely solid. A venue I had ventured into once before but I have not endeavored to eat here. For those who love and appreciate the art of BBQ and smoked meat, this is your place. We happened in here to see a friends band play. Sadly, we got there very early and didn't know how late they were going on. (Weekend entertainment does take the stage later than say the Happy Hour talent.) However, that didn't stop us from scoring bar stools right upon entry and that gave us the vantage point of the amazing collection of liquor from their extensive selection. That coupled with the various brews on tap. We opted for a Kentucky Vanilla Cream Ale and it was like sipping on a vanilla shake. Not a beer drinker by nature but this was so tasty. Located in the heart of Patchogue Village. Lots to see and do round these parts, especially as the summer months approach. One caveat... parking in Patchogue is horrible. And be very very careful drinking and driving. It's like fishin' with dynamite for the local law enforcement. My husband and I have been meaning to try this place for a long time and finally did. It was a bit spur of the moment, but so glad we gave it a try. We went to supper early (we've been dieting so we were hungry LOL)... so the place was quiet and almost empty. We started off each having a Montauk Watermelon IPA while we browsed the menu. Anyone who thinks because it's a BBQ place all they have are ribs is sadly mistaken. We decided to each do the "2 Meats" and to get different things so we could try a bunch of varied items. I got the barbecue shrimp and St Louis ribs, plus potato salad and collard greens. My husband got the sausage and barbecued chicken plus mac n cheese and corn in the cob. Both meals came with corn bread as well. Everything was delicious! With each bite of every new flavor we were both making multiple enjoyment sounds while commenting to each other how good it all was. The sausage had great flavor. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The shrimp was tasty (though maybe a bit over cooked). The chicken was plump and juicy. Even the corn on the cob tasted super fresh and crisp. And it all paired brilliantly with more watermelon beer. The ambience was okay, nothing special and when filled with people it might feel a bit cramped. I wouldn't call it a romantic date place... unless you go when it's slow like we did. This is one of those "I don't understand how this place isn't rated better" reviews because Bobbique? You rock my BBQ socks (odd statement there). The other night was my third time dining, first time Yelping and all systems were go for a lovely que meal. You'll find Bobbique right along the ever growing Main St. of Patchogue, and it holds its own as being worthy of choice anytime you make your way into the area. So my girlfriend and I were there on a Tuesday night due to Groupon purchase, but that was just to save money. Bobbique on its own is still worthy of full price. Start off with their laundry list of beers, both in bottle and on tap. I went with Braven's Dark Pale Ale and my GF decided to join me in alcohol by partaking in an Austin pineapple cider. Look up and you'll notice plenty of tap handles and growlers as part of their rustic, beer-ish, BBQ decor. Also, a bathroom trip is needed at some point, especially if you're a true craft beer fan. You'll see what I mean. Beyond drink, there is food. Not just a little food, but a ton of food! The menu is filled with BBQ favorites and they really hit almost all of them. When I see those meat combos I just can't say no. Two choices for $20 with two sides and cornbread? I'm sold. St. Louis ribs and smoked sausage with mac 'n' cheese and sweet potato fries rounded out my tray. Well, I could barely see the tray because there was so much tasty BBQ covering it! A ton of smoky, chopped sausage, several slathered, meaty ribs, a generous helping of sweet potato fries (with sweet dipping sauce) and a creamy mac that could put Kraft out of business (the cornbread was good too, he deserves mention). It was delicious all around. As was my GF's pulled chicken (same sides for her). The place was pretty darn empty on a Tuesday night and luckily that didn't stop the service from rockin'. Our waitress checked in with us a few times throughout the meal and even brought my GF a box at the end (without asking) as she just knew she had something to doggie bag. Shout out to our waitress's awesome Moustache Brewery hoodie as well. By the way, if you're an avid Yelper and you haven't checked out the cash back feature recently added then you're missing out. Bobbique gives 7% cash back on your meal. As soon as the waitress rang up the bill I got a notification of my money return. A big BBQ thanks to Yelp and Bobbique for that little extra savings. Overall, Bobbique deserves higher star rankings than what Yelpers have brought it down to. This third trip solidified it's wonderful food, drink, service, and pricing. Went for early lunch. From the looks, the place gets a hefty clientele. I ordered the combo, great variety. Hubby ordered the ribs, perfectly done. The teen ordered the chicken sandwich, which he loved and it was a decent size. The ribs were the best we've had in a while. They were tender and meaty, also not salt laden. The pulled pork slider was on the spot, not buried in sauce. Wasn't sure if the beans were from a can, but they were delicious. Mac and cheese side was perfect with the ribs. My journey with Bobbique has been long, arduous, and now, pretty darn rewarding... When this place first opened, I got one of those restaurant dot com gift card gems, and head over to check out some BBQ, see if they could come close to some of the great BBQ I've been lucky enough to check out. You know, the kind of BBQ a New Yorker can only dream about, with sweet tea and country girls; all jokes aside, I sat at the table, reviewed the menu, and couldn't wait to try everything. Bobbique has got their "queties" as they deem the ladies there to help ya out, and I'm sure they've got some sort of tea... However with a bar like this how do you order tea? The craft beer options and bourbons are a dream! The food came out and I was disappointed immediately when I recognized that Kraft style Mac n cheese they used to have, the BBQ however looked divine, so I dove in. The pulled pork was fantastic, the wings huge and sticky, and my only real let downs were the BBQ sauce on the table, and that krap they kraft up and call Mac and cheese. Visit two they told us they were no longer accepting the restaurant.com gift card after we ate so that was a bummer, and on top of that, our pork was sorta dry, and trying to make it better with their ketchupy BBQ was a joke. Over the years I'd go just to drink some great craft beer, both tapped and bottled; here n' there I would try some food, a good sausage a bad slaw, just sort of hit or miss whenever I went, the last time I got a big group together, 3 of us actually felt sick. Years went by like this and over the last two or so, we've all been back, over and over and over again, clearly something keeps you there. The food is way more consistent now, and always good, get what you like and stick with it, that's the trick. Good vibes, great live music, good food has conquered, their Mac n cheese has been resilient to say the least, and I'd even still get it as a side but their potato salad is where it's at! I love the pulled chicken (get it over the house salad) Sausage is great Collard Greens are fantastic Potato salad is dope Wings are still huge & sticky; yummy Corn bread is good the shrimp is worth the try for sure This is great drunk BBQ for sure and you'll always have a good time, bring good people and drink good brews. Just had my first dining experience at Bobbique last night and I have to say that I am already a fan! The bbq ribs and pulled pork were incredibly tender and succulent. The cornbread and mac and cheese were definitely highlights of the meal as well. For being such a reasonably priced place, you are getting high quality and very flavorful southern-style food. The beer list is top notch here! In addition to having all of Long Island's brews represented here, Bobbique had some pretty hard to find and unique craft beer. I went with the Ketucky Bourbon Barrel Ale which paired excellent with the hearty bbq fare. Although I was a little dissapointed they were out of Grapefruit Sculpin IPA from Ballast Point. Next time though! The waitstaff were frinedly and knowlegable when it came to their beer list and were quick to make paring suggestions. I went on a Monday night so it was as quiet as a morgue, but I would definintely like to return on a night when they have live music. Will definitely be returning here soon. Booze and BBQ - What more can you ask for? I've been here a handful of times and while it's not my favorite spot in Patch, I don't turn down the opportunity to hangout here. With the ample diversity of beers, there's always something for someone. Bobbique understands the difference between mass produced crap beer and interesting craft selections. Portions are fairly large so if you don't want to eat your weight in meat, consider sharing a two meat platter. Notable eats: Sweet Potato Fries - A smattering of both soft mushy fries and crispy little taters paired with a delicious maple dipping sauce. Sometimes the batches of fries are a little more greasy than others but the sauce really makes the difference here. These are a must try. BBQ Chicken- Yes! BBQ'd perfectly, moist and delicious. The 1/2 chicken really is an awesome deal here for $13. Some parts of it were a bit too pink for my taste so I happily tore apart the rest of the wings and breast with my bare hands. The BBQ sauce on the table is also great, however it would be nice if they included perhaps two different style sauces for us to smother our BBQ'd meaty goodness in. Cornbread - Sorry, if you don't finish it, I will. It's always been a hit and comes with the dishes. I've heard from two people that the black bean burger is - actually - pretty good and does not fall apart into a pile of mush. So, veggis rejoice in that there's something here that's recognizable as as food for you too. Unremarkable eats: The collard greens (which had an unusual aftertaste) and the the red potato salad really didn't thrill me. The one time I had the shrimp skewers they were seasoned well but way overcooked and rubbery. The last time I went they said they updated the menu and there was one or two items that they're not actually serving. Don't get your hopes up on the rum soaked peach dessert, kids. The crowd is lively and this place is almost ALWAYS busy. You're elbow to elbow with almost every other patron there which can be both entertaining or downright annoying depending on your out look and total number of beers consumed. I'm so disappointed!!!! This was a first family dinner night out since the lock down. We absolutely love this place. The food and service are always EXCELLENT. Tonight we packed up the kids and drove 20 minutes to have a good family night out. The waitress was great. The food was served so quickly and was hot hot hot. It was also so delicious. The night was on a great roll until we got our check. The bill total was $77 and change. My hubby gave his credit card and when the waitress returned the receipt was for $80 and change. I walked to the hostess station to ask why the bill was $77 and we were charged over $80. I was told that now they are charging the customers the 3% service fee that the credit card company imposes on them. THERE IS NO INDICATION ANYWHERE THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED THIS FEE! The waitress said that she was told to tell customers she doesn't have to tell them as it is listed on their website. Since you can't have a menu to look at, I opened their website at my table to figure out what I wanted to eat. I didn't see it. She didn't say it and there are no signed anywhere. The manager happened to be standing nearby and overheard the conversation with the waitress. She came quickly and said it's something new they are doing. I walked back to the table with and explained to my hubby. He was NOT happy and went to talk to the a manager. After a confrontation the manager agreed to bill us the correct amount and gave us a $15 gift card. I didn't want the gift card. But it was all handled so poorly on the restaurants part. That's deceptive business practices and will turn people off. We were diehard fans and loved to eat here. Thanks to tonight we won't be back. So sad. My wife and I had an early dinner last night around 5:30 before going to a show at the Patchogue Theater. My wife ordered a shrimp and ribs combo and I ordered a full rack of ribs each coming with 2 sides. I ordered a Fat Tire on tap and my wife a diet coke. My Fat Tire was great but my wife's diet coke light brown water, undrinkable. Our meals arrive no more than 10 minutes after we placed them causing us pause. My wife shrimp were cold and our ribs were tough and difficult to eat. So for $33 dollars I ate 2 ribs, cold beans and some potato salad served in a small plastic cup. To say we were disappointed in our $80 meal would be an understatement. This place had me from the get-go when I saw they had Boylan bottled sodas. Boylan makes one of my favorite root beers. I came for lunch and had their super affordable "Ultimate Lunch Combo", which comes with three St. Louis style ribs (tips attached), two jumbo smoked chicken wings, a pulled pork slider, and two sides. They included a square of cornbread, which was a nice surprise. The highlight was the smoked chicken wings. The lunch special came with two full wings, smoked to perfection, and finished on the grill for a bit of char. The fat on the wing was perfectly rendered, leaving a nice thin flavorful skin. The flavor was unapologetically smokey. The meat itself was cooked really well and was tender and juicy on the inside. It's the kind of barbecue that requires no sauce whatsoever. I found no fault with it and I'm actually wishing I had more wings right now as I write this. The St. Louis ribs were pretty good, although not great. They were cooked well and correctly came clean off the bone with each bite. But unlike the wings, these ribs were a bit underseasoned and lacked smokiness. It was still good, but far from the best ribs I've had. I ended up needing to dip these in some barbecue sauce to up the taste a bit. The only item I wasn't fond of was their pulled pork. It was okay, but sort of dry and the sauce wasn't fitting (I like a much more vinegar-based sauce for pulled pork). Make sure to choose potato salad as one of your sides. It's an excellent potato salad. I dislike smooth whipped potato salads, so I was pleased when I saw these big chunks of red potatoes. The potatoes are dressed with just the right amount of dairy and it was a really refreshing contrast to the rest of the meal. I liked their mac and cheese, even though the sauce was just slightly gritty. I'm a big fan of using pasta shells for mac and cheese since so much cheese sauce gets into the shell. The cornbread as good as well. For $10.95, the lunch combo deal is an incredible bargain. The quality of the barbecue is evident, the sides are delicious, and I'm sure I'll be back for more. read more

My favorite thing about bobbique, and it's a rarity among bbq spots I've been to, is that the quality of their sides/appetizers is just as good as the barbecue. Don't come here for brisket though--they do a chopped and saucy brisket. Their wings and ribs are excellent. So is the smoked sausage (not sure if they make that in house but so good!). Just had 50th birthday in the party room to celebrate with family. BOBBIQUE staff did an excellent job in helping us plan and letting us decorate before the party. Most of all, the food was outstanding and plentiful ! The catering team and server that night were readily available. And the menu/catering prices were the best around . Food here is soooo good. I haven't eaten here in years and I went back and I think this restaurant has the best BBQ anywhere in Long Island. They should redo their front door to make it more inviting. Just do a facelift and I bet you will have more customers. It seams kinda hidden compared to all the open door shops like Gallo Started.
