We are a huge fans of Bobbique and go there often! But the way they are handling the TO GO orders during this pandemic is awesome! With today being Mother's Day i figured it would be busy so I hopped online and ordered our dinner earlier in the day and chose a later time for pick up (that is an awesome feature) My parents both got the 3 meat platter. I don't think I could have been any more disappointed in Bobbique. Took my girlfriend there for dinner one night. She got the pulled chicken sandwich which somehow had chicken that was so dry I could've used it to start a fire yet the bottom bun was soaked to the point where you couldn't pick up the sandwich without it disintegrating in your hand. Her fries were also not seasoned and they were cold by the time we got them. I got the crispy bbq salmon and despite being cooked well was maybe 1/4 of the size of a normal salmon filet. It would've been a disgrace as an appetizer let alone an entree. $50 later (all we got was water and the entrees) and we both left hungry. Do yourself a favor and go to any one of the other 10 restaurants in patchogue before even considering Bobbique. Actually don't even consider Bobbique, your local 7-11 probably has better food. This is absolutely my favorite place to go for wings. They are on the larger size and always cooked perfectly. My boyfriend lives in Patchogue and this is one of the first restaurants he introduced me to when we starting dating, I truly love chicken wings. There is something about the way they are cooked to perfection. We always get chicken wings and sweet potatoes, then depending on how much we want to bring home, we add more. To mark my son's birthday, albeit 76 days after the fact, we had dinner at Bobbique, in Patchogue, since he is unable to find this cuisine in his Brooklyn neighborhood. We had intended to dine outside, but with just two 2-seat high top tables on the sidewalk and only two other diners inside, we opted to take another step out of our comfort zone and dined inside. Tables were well spaced and all of the staff were masked. The menu is available by scanning a QR code with your phone. Alas, tap beer, a specialty here, along with the barbeque, was unavailable, but we were able to quaff a couple of canned craft brews, including the recently released Blue Point Octoberfest (malty, but a tad light) and DuClaw Brewing 's Waffle Cone Imperial brown ale (a sweetish, heavy Belgian-style brew). Both complement our food. My son and I shared a tray of tasty, moist pulled pork with baked beans and cole slaw and an app of burnt brisket ends, which were fall-apart tender and sweet. Corned bread, however, seemed a tad underdone. My wife, who dislikes smoked meat, was happy with a bowl of cheesy French onion soup (the cheese was a tad overdone) and a tray of Asian BBQ ribs, glazed with a sweet, but tangy, blend of orange, ginger and sesame. For dessert we opted for chocolate mousse, which was served in a plastic, pint take out container. It was richly flavored, but seemed more like pudding than mousse. Also, a slice of Pecan pie, served with a container of vanilla ice cream on the side, also provided a sweet ending, but seemed to have a store-bought crust. It's something I'd pass on at a future visit. Our server was cheerful and checked on us frequently, but an order of fried pickle slices never found their way to our table (the kitchen printer, it seems, stopped working). There is no way I drove down south in 15 minutes, but that's what it felt like at Bobbique! It's excellent food with a noticeable smokey taste. I showed up at 12pm but didn't realize they opened at 2pm so after a short detour around town I made my way back. Two store down, before I got to Bobbique I new it was opened because I smelled the place before I got there. I felt like a mouse drawn to cheese and I couldn't turn away. When I got inside there were a lot of people there, so I see patrons don't waist time getting there. I was excited to see the waitresses so happy to greet me. They walked us to a table, I didn't want to sit there so they let me pick the table i wanted, nice touch! Our waitress, Sera, was perfect! We never waited for a thing, Sera was on everything. The bartender, even though she had a Jets jersey on, was also very inviting. I felt like I was king of the mountain, and I couldn't find one thing wrong. The place was low lit with visuals everywhere to keep you entertained while we waited. But there was no waiting at all. Sera put our orders in and they came out nice and hot fast. The loaded fries were covered with cheese and meat and had a smokey flavor to them. They gave you enough to enjoy while you waited for your meal. My meal in one word, magnificent! They smoke all the meat so it has real flavor and the meat on the ribs, slid right off the bone. The BBQ sauce they use is a top shelf marinated too! I would buy it if they would sell it to me. The mac & cheese was good and they give you a nice size corn bread with your meal. Why did I not come here sooner? My favorite item was......I really loved the.....wait I can't decide!! I liked everything! You can't pick anything on the menu and not like it. This place deserves 6 stars if Yelp would add that feature for me, I could honor the best in dining experience, I will not abuse it, just saying. Bobbique is not only a great place to eat when you're in the mood for some great BBQ, it's also one of my favorite stops for rotating craft beer taps, the place I go for awesome Happy Hour deals, where I watch the games, and where I go just to hang out. Ok, so I love this place. Being that I worked here once for a hot second, I know the ins and outs of this place and you know how most people don't eat where they work....well I continue to eat here and sometimes want seconds. The kitchen is clean and the staff working back there execute the food perfectly. Pulled pork is always delicious, the ribs are tender and fall off the bone, the burgers are juicy and cooked to order, and the BBQ Chicken sandwich is one of my faves. They have plently of craft beer on tap and a big selection of bottles if you can't find something you like on tap. The bartenders are knowledgeable about the beer and can also whip up some pretty fantastic mixed drinks. If you're looking for live bands, you can find them here most Wednesdays - Saturdays. Bobbique is so fun! I'd recommend it. Here's why: 1) SURPRISINGLY good BBQ! I don't have high standards for NY BBQ, but the food here went above and beyond expectations. Juicy and flavorful pulled pork and chicken, tender ribs that were not overly sauced (+1), nicely grilled shrimp, yummy sweet potato fries, and large portions. I was here with a semi-North Carolinian who agreed... the BBQ is good! 2) Fantastic booze selection: 10-12 beers on tap, and I couldn't even count the number of bottles & cans-- all priced appropriately. If you enjoy craft beer, you'll laugh at the "If you must" list. The liquor selection is very bourbon forward. Simply put, Bobbique gets it. 3) Lively atmosphere: I've never seen this place not packed. Be prepared to wait for a table, and you'll most likely be elbow-to-elbow with your neighbor. While this is usually an annoyance, it works here because it makes it somewhat communal, and that's fun for enjoying for good beer and BBQ. 4) Busy, but nice staff: I felt bad for these girls. This was my first time here and I'm sure it won't be my last. The pulled pork sandwich was BBQ goodness on a bun, and the BBQ sauce was great; not too hot, yet tasty enough to appeal to most people. Excellent beer selection as well. Anyone who gets a Bud Light should be thrown out! The atmosphere is great as well, usually a blues band playing and a pretty good crowd. I realized I have never formally reviewed Bobbique's on Yelp. Insane, since I make it a point to stop in to eat here on almost every visit back to LI. Always a solid craft beer tap list, with a lot of focus on locals. Finback is usually my go to for an IPA these days. Pricing very reasonable and typically serving full pints for beers under 7% abv, which is appreciated. My must have items are the whole wings, collard greens and BBQ beans. Their pulled pork is always a hit and their ribs and sausage are great too. Burgers are enormous. The space is large enough, that I don't believe I have ever waited more than a few minutes to be seated and the service is always solid. The place can get loud when live music is happening, but that's just fine with me. Less talking, more listening. Highly recommend. Keep in mind, they are not open late and don't open until 1pm on the weekends. I can't tell you the # of times I have showed up at noon and they aren't open for another hour. Go to Hoptron for a drink and then head back to enjoy a fantastic meal. read more

The fries are really good, the cornbread was bland (though maybe it's unfair to go by me since I'm actually from the South & have had homemade cornbread) & I did not care for the cheese in the macaroni & cheese. Had my first bobbique experience at the Great South Bay Music Fest. They had a tent setup. The pulled pork sandwich I got there was delicious so knew we had to try the restaurant. Went a few weeks later and was not disappointed! I had pulled pork again (why branch out when you know what's good!). My husband had ribs. We loved both. Ribs were very tender and tasty and the pork was again amazing. For sides we split Mac n cheese, collard greens, French fries and cole slaw. The collard greens were a little too vinegary for me. Not bad but I wouldn't order them again. Mac n cheese was just ok. The fries we're delicious. Kinda soggy which is the way I like my fries so I mean that in the best way possible. Cole slaw was good too. I put it on top of my pulled pork which was the an idea I did not regret. The corn bread that came with the dishes was good. Under my pork was a piece of white bread I wish they had left out because it was very soggy under there and basically inedible. Overall very good and I recommend. But they need to work on their sides. Also they need to open it up so you feel more outside. I had a late lunch 3:30pm here with my son and his friend. The place is clean roomy and offers different types of seating, high tables and chairs, average tables, and the bar. All lined with a butcher theme of white butcher paper table linen and a tall beige roll of paper towels. The service was quick and friendly. You have to request a straw if you want one and they are individually wrapped paper straws! (Nice and responsible for our environmental good). I ordered the chilli bowl.. it was good, but a bit dry for my taste, and the pulled pork sliders which were out of this world delish!!! The lunch menu is under $10.. for average size portions, and the potato salad and Cole slaw is pretty yummy too! I left there full and satisfied. Less on the check gave me an opportunity to tip well for the good service. I recommend this place for anyone who loves pulled pork and I will be returning in the future. read more

This place is yet more proof of the fact, which i have declared before, that. Patchogue is now without a doubt Long Islands best drinking town. An incredible selection of beers on tap and a huge amount of bottles are offered here ,which happily seems to be par for the course for most of the places in this town. They also offer some tasty and dangerously strong mixed drinks, which are sure to please those seeking a break from all the beer. The Place is definitely four stars, & is guaranteed that status on the strength of its wings; Some of the best on the Island, & not fried! I believe they are grilled and smoked in some combination & are unique & delicious. Its important to note that they are severd whole. meaning that ordering one wing is the equivalent of two at most places (the drumstick & other part sometimes referred to as a "flat"). That helps make the happy hour rate of a dollar a wing, actually turn out to be a pretty good deal. That happy hour is pretty good all around in fact with 3 dollar 10oz mugs of most of the drafts (a few are 4), and very tasty slider options of 1.50 cheeseburger & 2 dollar Pulled Pork minis. Also the dirt cheap lunch menu is also served thru happy hour, which Im told has been a relatively recent development. The rest of the bbq menu is pretty solid, definitely above average for NY standards, if maybe not on par with any Memphis/Carolina/KC/Texas legends, but hey we are on Long Island here after all. The space is big and semi-industrial and very open. Theres a bunch of screens to televise sports including a large projection screen that is raised when live music is performed, which I think happens pretty regularly. The Bartenders, are cool, knowledgeable and friendly and never leave you with an empty drink for too long. Crowd ranges across many demographic and age groups from rowdy singles to families with young kids to older beer geeks. All and all a great spot and an excellent choice in a really fun town. Food 6 / 10: Food was good but not great. Meat was prepared ok but did not taste smoked at all. The sauces on the ribs was not inspiring and seemed to primarily be there to add moisture. You certainly don't get the impression they were smoking the ribs for 5 hours in the back room. There is zero odor of a fire pit in place or smoke rings in the meat. Fried pickles were ok. Corn was plain, Beans were mushy but were nicely seasoned. Sausage did not taste smoked at all. Beer selection is exceptionally good bumping the overall grade of the food from a 5 to a 6. Service 8/10: Service was quick and friendly. We were seated right away and the waitress was very attentive. It seems like other waitresses were also doing a nice job. No issues at all. Cleanliness 6/10: No obvious sings of sanitary conditions in the dining area except the horrible restroom conditions (see below) make you wonder what the kitchen is like and therefore drag the cleanliness score down to a 6. Ambiance 7/10: Blues music plays live frequently. Aside from the stage the restaurant is pleasant but not outstanding. While a live band is playing if you get seated too close to the stage you can forget about talking. Value 6/10: Decent amount of food. There were no leftovers. Price was ok. Restrooms: 2/10: The restrooms are a disaster. Clogged unusable toilets and just gross. This is a real issue. Parking: 5/10: No convenient parking as this is on a main street. There is however a decent lot across the street and back a block. It's a short walk so it isn't that bad. Overall: 6/10: Long island is challenged with too few barbeque places, so I have found that when people claim a BBQ joint is "the best" they are not comparing it to enough competition. Simply slathering some basic sauce on some ribs does not make great barbeque. The blues live band adds a nice element to the experience but if it's the food your going there for, I would be surprised if you would be exclaiming the food is delicious while your eating it. I didn't have anything to drink when I was there but the bar selection was top notch - a very good variety of draft beers and a lot of different whiskeys. The bar looks like a fun place to hang out and as it got later in the evening a lot of 20-somethings began to fill it up. Live music plays many nights, and a band was setting up just as we were finishing our dinner. As for the meal, I had the combo of pork and chicken. The pork was okay, nothing special. I had read really great reviews of the chicken on Yelp and perhaps that raised my expectations too high, but it wasn't as great as I was expecting. Sides were very good, cornbread mediocre.
