    ST Louis Ribs

My wife and I have been to Bobbique numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for authentic barbecue, great rotating beer selection, great live music and a solid bourbon selection this place is for you. Bobique offers a phenomenal selection of smoked and barbecue meats. Of particular note is the Saint Louis ribs. Dry rub, not to dry, not to Smokey. The pulled pork, brisket and sausage are also fantastic. For a change to the usual buffalo bar wings check out the wings here. A delicious change of pace. I can't understand why anyone would criticize the ribs here? They are awesome. If anyone thinks they don't "fall of the bone" check out my attached photo. Oh, by the way .. best baked beans ever! We typically order more food than we did tonight. I'll include more photos after our next visit. EVERY server, bartender, hostess is excellent. The owner is always present and dedicated to making sure you have a top notch experience. Come for the food, stay for the tunes.. Pinkies up!

The bf has been wanting to try this establishment and made 7:30pm reservations for Saturday October 5th 2024. The band 60's Invasion was scheduled to perform that night. We were seated at our table and soon the place was packed! Our server Courtney was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The drinks were strong and food delicious! I had the two meat combo, BBQ chicken and shrimp. He had the three meat..BBQ chicken, ribs and sausage. Each dish was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Collard greens, baked beans (my favorite) and cucumber salad were our sides. We shared a delicious slice of pecan pie for dessert. While we dined, the band sang groovy songs from the Swinging Sixties! The entire restaurant was in on the action. After watching the Mets win...on one of the seven big screen tv's, we all were ready to PARTY! I have to say....A TIME WAS HAD!! We're sure to return again for the food and excellent service!

You won't find traditional BBQ like this anywhere!!! Their combo platters are the best! Amazing BBQ chicken and ribs. You'll thank me!

3 MEAT COMBO with cucumber salad and side of collard greens. Of course had to get the extra cornbread as well. Delicious

Here's The Good, The Bad and The Ugly for Bobbique. (Bonus points if you've seen the movie) The Good: it is barbecue! In a coastal town where there's so much seafood it's good to have a BBQ option. The pulled pork is GOOD. I would prefer a little more smokey bark. But sometimes you get what you get. I'll have to ask next time. The pulled pork is moist and you get a good mix of the different muscles. The ribs are GOOD. Nicely smoked to tenderness and then chared a bit before coming out nice and hot. There are not all sauced up. So if saucy ribs is your thing the sauce is on the table. The wings are GOOD. No actually they're the best thing I tried this visit. Smokey. Crispy. Tasty. Moist. Delicious. No hot sauce needed. And now for the bad. It pains me to say that rhe Burnt Ends were BAD. Well, one of the cubes was tender and delicious. But only one. The rest were tough. There was a good bark on each cube so I have high hopes for the sliced Brisket (that I did not try this trip). But it was clear that after the brisket was cubed it was NOT bathed in butter and bbq sauce and put back in the smoker for another hour or two to get them super soft and delicious. So I don't think of them as Burnt Ends, just ends. And The Ugly? Doesn't exist. The waitress was nice, friendly, and helpful. The bartender was great, she made a good Manhatten and asked my preference before making it.

3 stars for Bobbique of Patchogue on Main Street. Locals- please add an extra one for the place to be in the area which has been there 18 years with owner Eric. The newby Abby has been there a month and likes working there. Seems when we were seated there was a woman upfront who was unhappy with her takeout order of wings. Eric was a gentleman and gave her back her money. This is a caring business man. He also seemed to know his regulars. Wednesday is there most busy day as they have a band (see pix) that does a Jam night and the audience can participate with the band. Cool. It did sound fun. As for the food- while there is a lot to choose from , well I feel like the Bar rescue guy would say - what do you serve- lets see if we can fancy it up. Fatty briscuit (not included in the choice of meats for the package) I wonder how much we paid per pound for it. Large chicken wings - They note that they are large. One order could be 5 and is enough. With the meat special they give 3 as one choice. Cooked very well done and taste grilled . Their sausage choice is Kilbasi and is well cooked. Their mac and cheese is home made. Sadly the corn on the cob is just boiled. Bar is nicely kept, much paraphaniala for decor including many bottles on above shelves and a few unique pictures at the front counter. various tables and bench seats for bigger parties, all covered with brown meat wrapping paper. Bathrooms in back. Even a sign for braclet purchases to the Pinball shop a few stores down. Parking is metered on street or in back and yes there are some handicap spots. The sign notes meter starts at 6pm.

This is a nice spot for a good BBQ meal. They have a bar and tons of TVs playing the different sports games. We also saw that they do bring in live music, so that's always fun. Our wait time for ordering and being served was decent, not too long, so that was another plus! The server was really friendly and helpful. Prices are right on with what you expect for good BBQ, not too pricey...(psst...they have lunch specials mon thru Friday!) What we ordered: Smoked sausage tray with two sides(i picked collard greans and colesaw) and a cornbread. Pulled Pork Sandwich The meats were cooked perfectly, no complaints at all...you can even smell the BBQ when you walk in! The coleslaw was good, fresh and a nice flavor. The collard greens were very acidic, not that crazy about them. The cornbread was decent, nothing to write home about...a bit on the dry side. Would we come back, sure! There's so much more we are curious about.

I came for dinner with my mother and we had Jenifer. She was super super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked up on us a perfect amount of times. I really enjoyed my visit. Also played good music. The food was amazing and it was nice and quiet for a bar! Huge portions so make sure you're hungry!! My mom and I shared the bbq chicken salad and the sausage pretzel and had left overs still! It was so yummy will definitely be coming back.

Not all that great. You can't beat the price for the lunch special and although it looks amazing, it wasn't great. Our service was alright, our waitress forgot my boyfriend's drink but it wasn't busy and eventually brought it! Great place for a night out when they have music but not crazy about the food.

I've been coming here since they opened and still to this day, BobbiQue has the best wings I've ever had. The staff is great. Over 100 Beers to select from. I recommend the Banana Bread Beer. You can also catch some amazing Live Music performances.

Seeing as her birthday is next month, we wanted to go ahead and try to go to a tea house and see if she enjoys it enough to invite a few friends to our home next month and replicate the event.. now it is on the pricey side, but we thought it would be a special day just for three of us. We not only called for reservations, but then arrived early and although we were sat, we did not get any fresh brewed tea. we got hot water and no authenticity at all bagged tea not loose and if she tells you she had loose teeth, then the waitress was at fault, but I don't wanna blame the waitress either like she has so-called reviews that she answer she blames it on someone else whether it's the waitresses and there was a prefix menu, but she didn't have time where she's really busy or somebody had the flu or they're lying or a wall review. I am not that person I have been using yelp since it began. I am a top contributor and I have to say this was a very bad experience and I will not blame it on a single person except the manager and the staff themselves who were not doing anything in the back as we were watching like all the other if you said it takes forever it is a bad luck and they don't come back to the table and serve properly. They don't have time to even say hello and really get to the table in a timely manner. At that point, we got a small salad with no silverware and no cream and sugar so basically we were waiting for our beautiful two/three tiered high tea that was a prefix menu "supposedly??" But after 45 minutes and absolutely no one coming around and still no silverware cream or sugar we had to ask for three times including the owner and we still had nothing else. It was nearly 4 PM and my little girl was starving as was my husband who would've rather been anywhere at that point After the third go round we decided to leave! I'm diabetic and this was crazy! In my almost 46 years. I have never left a restaurant. I hope that you all have a better experience than we did...next time go to a diner! Don't waste nearly $60 pp something. You can buy at Sam's Club and serve yourself if it ever shows up! Angry is not even the word! Prefix my foot! ***Update: I saw what you decided to respond and like I said you are your own worst enemy because I have NO responsibility to tell you anything about being diabetic if I have to wait an hour for a $60 plate of food that you never served me what do I have to pay for? I don't believe that the world is built on you do nothing then I have to pay you for something? Wtf? I saw the other post you blame everybody by yourself. You blame when you're busy you blame it on Valentine's Day. You blame it on your waitress is having the flu. You blame it on everybody by yourself and as far as I'm concerned from sitting there and watching you for an entire hour go back-and-forth and do absolutely nothing. It's your fault nobody else's don't tagline my editorial because you think you wanna be right that doesn't work! I can go home and get hot water. Thank you very much for nothing. You are not only a nasty woman, but you also show a very sincere lack of understanding when it comes to how to run a business not only is it not my job to tell you I'm diabetic it's not my job to take my autistic daughter and have her wait over an hour for food. I don't care how many people you have. All those things are just excuses and as far as I was told when I grow up, it's about results not excuses!!!! SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR RESTAURANT WILL REPOST ALL OVER!!!!

In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Our wait staff was nothing but kind and patient with our moderately large party and checked up on us without being overbearing. Ambiance is very cool, and definitely leans into its classic and nostalgic feel of its name, but not in a campy way. If you bring a date here, they would be impressed by the nice tile and wooden features alone, but it's the food that is really going to blow them away, but we will get to that next. The menu and cocktails do rotate seasonally a bit, so your experience may vary on availability for some items, but if you come back often enough (and spoiler, you will want to), you'll see them comeback! We started with Caesar salad, calamari, and Korean fried wings with the easy standout being the fried wings, a bit spicy but delicious but buyer beware they are messy (don't worry though, they give you moist towelettes to clean yourself off), calamari was cooked exactly how it needed to be and not rubbery, and the Caesar salad was as good as I've had it anywhere (although there's was made with tahini, giving it a little sesame flair). For mains, we had a pesto pasta, steak frites with an au poivre sauce, with sides of jersey asparagus and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked just right and I'd dip almost anything in that sauce, and the pesto pasta was a nice lighter and herby balance to the meal. Fries were perfectly crisp shoestring style and the other end of the potato spectrum was the delightfully smooth mashed potatoes and gravy. Asparagus has always been my favorite green, and adding a cream sauce with bacon only makes this version of it that much more enticing. Capping off with dessert, we had the chocolate Basque cheesecake, a brown sugar pie, and a pistachio cake. Choosing a favorite out of these is like choosing a favorite child I'm sure, but I am still craving more of that cheesecake, RUN do not walk to get that at the very least. Parking can be crazy in patchogue, there is a small attached lot and some street parking, but I'd advise using one of the municipal lots nearby and walking a little bit for your own sanity. One of my favorite dining experiences in patchogue to date, and will be happy to comeback here to try more of the menu for any occasion!
