Hot child in The City... After spending a glorious day in San Francisco, doing all the things, it was time to head out on the next great adventure, but first Boba! With literally 10 minutes to spare, and yes, no one wants to be that person, but we were the only ones running in to order a quick drink to go. The store is immaculately clean, they have the cutest displays of merch, and a few tables for sitting and enjoying your drink, and maybe a nibble. The menu isn't very extensive, but there's definitely enough to choose from. The drinks aren't overly sweet, but they have a nice light flavor to them. The pearls are delicious! It runs around eight dollars for a drink, which is pretty average. Plenty of street parking, which is totally unusual for San Francisco. Great location, quick service, and a tasty drink!

The strawberry matcha latte was tasty with the balance between the sweet strawberry puree and earthy matcha. You cannot adjust the sweetness of this drink since the sugar is in the strawberry puree, but the barista offered to put in less puree to make it less sweet. The store has a couple of window seating, but this is more of a grab a drink and go place.

I'm sad the Hayes Valley location closed, so this is now my new favorite Boba Guys location. The staff here are very friendly and fast with drinks. There is some seating indoors along the window, but it's mostly standing only. There's lots of other good food on this block and street, as well a public outdoor park and seating area just down the block. I ordered off the secret menu (available only to regulars who unlock the level in their app) and got the Founders's Favorite It's coffee with ube and banana milk. So pretty and tasty! Other favorites include the Hojicha Latte with kuromitsu syrup and the Black Sesame Layyr, as well as the Butternut Squash Latte, but that's a seasonal special they haven't brought back in a while. I've been to several other boba cafés in SF, but none of them are as good as Boba Guys!

I haven't been to Boba Guys in a while. When the Chinatown location first opened, there were always lines out the door. That wasn't the case for this location in Potrero Hill. I was in the neighborhood when I walked by a menu board showcasing their Spring Summer 2025 Seasonal Specials. They looked good so I decided to go in. After perusing the menu, I ordered the Yuzu Pina Matcholada (16 oz - $7.00) with boba ($0.85). +Combo of the coconut, pineapple, and yuzu was very refreshing with a creaminess from the matcha cloud +Not too sweet: The cashier told me that sweetness can't be adjusted b/c there aren't any added sugars. +Boba was soft & chewy with caramelization. +Topped with crunchy fruity bits (freeze dried pineapple?) +No upcharge for no ice +Cup & bamboo fiber straw were durable. -Matcha could be stronger. Side notes: 1.) 5% Healthy SF Mandate automatically added to all orders. 2.) Limited indoor seating: I saw 2 people sitting on stools. Daggett Park is nearby but if the weather isn't great it's best to take your drink to-go. *Verdict: 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 d/t service. I received my drink within 5 minutes after ordering. If I was in the area, I would try another one of their seasonal drinks. Depending on the drink, it can be pricey but they have a lot of creative options with Asian ingredients that I haven't seen anywhere else.

Ugh, I love boba guys, but why was drink so watery! I got the Thai tea and was expecting creamy but it was very watered down. Even upon receiving it I was thinking the drink looked too clear or see through for it to be Thai tea. Boba balls were chewy but not very sweet.

I love boba guys and found this one open near me so was excited to have it as my go-to when I'm craving a classic but good black milk tea. The boba was great the first time I came but seems to be inconsistent in quality the following times. My go-to is always get the classic black milk tea with boba and 50% sweet and default straus milk. It seems some of the staff members (there was a boy the first time I went and it was good) and the other times when I got the boba it was more on the diluted side (an older women, maybe the manager?). When the boy was there the boba was just a bit stronger and perfect. The third time I came the older woman was there again and the milk tea was diluted again, the nice cassia milk tea that I loved going to boba guys for was just almost but not there. Overall okay, but if the consistency of the quality of the flavor in the boba is fixed it'd be a 5 star.

Stopped by Boba Guys this evening for a post-dinner treat. Still one of my go-to spots -- they really set the standard for quality boba. Drinks are always fresh and balanced, and the boba has that perfect chewy texture. I usually stick with the matcha strawberry, but gave the mango matcha a shot tonight -- no regrets. Super smooth and not too sweet. Definitely recommend. Consistently solid spot. Never disappoints.

My drink from Boba Guys was super solid, with a strong tea flavor and subtle sweetness, which I was able to customize! The boba was great for the most part, but every once in a while I got a boba that was a little tough. I ordered the black sugar hojicha latte and was impressed with the quality. I am interested to try their other unique drinks. This location is very small with only one table to sit at, but it is great to grab and go as there is a park right next to it!

Came here on a sunny day, a little bit of a line but didn't wait longer than 20 minutes total and either ordered on the kiosk or talked to the barista. Strawberry Matcha Latte (5/5): this is my go to, the strawberry sweetness and flavor really compliments the matcha Pandan Caramel Matcha Latte (4/5): not really a strong pandan flavor but the caramel matcha was nice!

Drinks are great! Service is great! Ambiance is nice and cleanliness is good. I go to this location because it's the closest to home.

Today the shop had a popup selling Uyghur meat pies from a local vendor. The meat pies were really tasty but VERY expensive. I also liked that the cashier was kind enough to ask if I wanted the pies heated up or frozen. Speaking of the drinks, the boba from this location is of better quality than the other locations like the one near Chinatown SF. The service is quick since we only waited 3-5 min for our order. I recommend getting the Korean banana milk if you have a sweet tooth but you don't care for other known flavors like brown sugar or matcha.

5/5! Been wanting to try Boba Guys for a long time, and while visiting SF, I finally got a chance too! The Food: I went with the Horchata Specialty drink. It was delicious! Had that great horchata/cinnamon flavor. Was refreshing and made to my liking. The Service: Service was great. Staff were friendly. Ordered ahead of time and went to go pick the drinks up. Very fast service! The Atmosphere: Nice and small boba spot. Very Modern and minimal setup. Overall, a 5/5 Loved the drinks and service here. Would come back to boba Guys!

Their new Pastel Paradise Cloud is SO DELICIOUS! Definitely going to be craving this drink often. You'll love it if you enjoy strawberry-lychee flavor combos, and it's also a cute insta-worthy drink to top it all off (very Barbie girl summer). Staff was very friendly when we came into the store and super speedy whipping up this drink at the Potrero branch. Loved my experience here and am definitely very curious about their other seasonal summer offerings!

I fell in love with their creative, artisanal drinks right away. The store itself was clean and welcoming. My favorites are the Crème Brûlée Milk Tea and Matcha Toffee. They're both signature drinks and the matcha and toffee balance each other so well. The toffee does get stuck in your teeth, but it adds a nice crunch to your drink. I recommend getting their drinks in either oat or macadamia milk! Their honey boba was fresh with the perfect texture. I don't recommend driving here unless you're okay with parking a few blocks away. I prefer this location over San Jose because their drinks are more consistent. The line was long, waited about 10 minutes for the ordering system, because it's by machine now. Then waited another 15 minutes for the drinks. There were a bunch of teeny boppers in front of me ordering drinks (6-8ish), so it took a bit. I ordered a house milk tea with 25% sugar. Honestly it just tasted like ash. No creamy tasting like other boba places. Not sure what their house cream was but it wasn't creamy or rich in flavor. Big disappointment. My husband got the crème brulee milk tea and that tasted even worst. It just tasted like bitter burnt pudding. Some sweetness once you get pass the pudding. Not sure who made the drinks but it was not good. The boba however was nice and soft. Not sure if it's the day or the rush of hella orders, but I normally judge a boba place by their basic milk tea and that day it was not good. And maybe that's not what to order? Not sure. But willing to try again on another time.

It's not as creamy as, say, a Frappuccino, and the ice crystals are a little larger, but honestly that works in its favor because the roasted hojicha flavor comes through so much more clearly.
