Ive always enjoyed this spot in my neighborhood. I come by and order drinks pretty often and happened to stop by a couple of weeks ago to purchase a drink and overheard another customer politely addressing an issue with the quality of her order. She explained there may have been a mistake with one of the selected options in the app and even acknowledged that she understood if the drink could not be remade, but wanted to ask anyway. The reason for this review is to address the lack of consideration and customer service from the hispanic male staff member working that night. Instead of listening to the concern, the staff was dismissive and rude, repeatedly saying things like "all I do is press these buttons" and "this is what you ordered," without acknowledging the customer's experience or concern about the quality of the drink. Although the drink was eventually remade, the staff did so while visibly frustrated, slamming cabinets and displaying negative energy throughout the interaction. It created an uncomfortable experience, especially considering how polite and understanding the customer had been. Customer service and basic courtesy matter just as much as the product itself. Unfortunately, after witnessing that interaction, I do not plan on returning. Please teach your staff to be polite and understanding. read more

I got the white peach milk tea with rice pudding and it was not good. I would not come back to get their drinks again. I got no ice and 50% sugar and the tea flavor was mild. I also thought the rice pudding would be more like a drinkable mochi (from the reviews) but it is not. No mochi bounce and quite frankly the rice pieces threw me off. Decided to try this spot after seeing B Patisserie was closed next door. I tried their hot ginger milk tea with taro balls and was pleased with the taste! 25% sweetness was perfect for me. I was immediately hit with a strong ginger taste which was exactly what I wanted. They use Straus milk which the made the drink nice and creamy. I'm usually not a taro ball person, but I'm glad they were in the drink! They were soft and seemed very fresh. I do wish the drink was a bit hotter, but the flavor was solid. Service was quick and friendly. Only a few stools and chairs inside to sit in - mostly a to-go spot. Would come back to try their other drinks. read more

Refreshing fruit drinks that don't taste super artificial! I had the coco melon drinks and tried some of my boyfriend's sable grape. The coco melon at less sweet was super refreshing. It tasted just like blended up watermelon with a delicate and soft coconut pudding. My biggest complaint is that there seemed to be too much ice compared to fruit, because as I kept sipping, the watermelon juice was gone and left only flavorless slush. The sable grape was not my favorite fruit combination (apple and grape), but my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. Again, not too sweet or artificial! Seemed to come during a mini rush but the workers still worked efficiently. We got our drinks within 10 minutes. There is one self-order kiosk as well as the option to order at the cashier. Place is very small with a few window spots, so definitely expect to take your drinks to-go when busy. read more

We were visiting SF for the day and my son wanted a boba tea, found this cute little spot. Luckily we found parking nearby, parking is a bit tricky. Once inside we glanced at the menu but only the names are in English the ingredients are not. There were two people working that night Asian male and Hispanic female, I asked "Excuse me what's in the Mango Dreamer" They both looked at each other and the guy irritated said "I'll be right with you" We waited and he seemed angry that he had to help except he didn't answer my question he came over to the cash register and began to take my order. I repeated the question because my kids are very picky and they need to know what's in it. He quickly said the ingredients and seemed disturbed. I order my next drinks without asking what's in them and waited for them to be made. When we got our drinks we complimented on how beautiful they were we took pics with their sign and we all said thank you on our way out....we were the only people in there....no response ... the drinks were ok but the customer service is nonexistent read more

I got the Mochi Soy Milk Tea with Regular Boba and oat milk. There's a nice soy milk cream top. It's on the lighter side that isn't too sweet, but I'd probably ask for a little bit more sugar. Lots of options from fruit teas to milk tea. They have a kiosk on the front for self ordering. They are also on DD and have a first order discount which is pretty nice. There's some seating option in the front by the window, but otherwise it's mostly a take out place. Will stop by again to try the other options. read more

This Tea Hut location is on a semi-busy street and there is street parking, but it may be hit or miss because of the area. Their other locations may be more convenient, but I had the most positive experiences at this location with it being the most consistent. Smaller location and not the most friendly employees, but if my drink tastes good, then it does not really matter. On this particular visit, I ordered my usual - their jasmine milk with boba. Like always, I was conflicted by their milk option and ended up opting for their traditional dairy, which I enjoyed, so I would probably stick to this one. Milk tea was creamy with a good tea taste, so I enjoyed it, but the boba was on the chewier side. read more

We both agreed the fact this boba shop serves No add-ins fake sugars was a major plus- and I loved the fresh and tart flavor my drink had! My Hubby said his Jasmine Green Tea with Oat Milk didn't have a very strong "Green Tea" flavor, and I told him,"Maybe that's only because of how they brew the tea?" Hee. He claimed his Jasmine Green Tea with Boba and oat milk tasted just like "Oatmilk and Boba." Yet he still drank it. I'm always on the lookout for unique boba drinks and stumbled upon Tea Hut! I came around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday and it was empty. It's a pretty small spot, there's not any seating available do def a grab and go. You can order through the kiosk or with the cashier -- you can only pay cash before 6 PM and you would order at the counter for that. I got a rice mochi taro tea with almond milk and my friend got the mochi soy milk tea with almond milk and boba. The cashier who took our order was super nice to interact with and made our drinks quickly! My friend and I literally finished our drinks within 15 minutes of leaving because of how good it was! I enjoyed my experience at Tea Hut. Service was quick: my tea was done a few minutes after ordering at the cashless kiosk. I tried the grape kyoho tea, which was very refreshing and not too sweet (I chose less sugar). A little bit pricey, but the serving was quite large. I've heard that the fruity drinks are Tea Hut's strong spot. There's a bit of seating near the window area, but the store is pretty small. Osmanthus milk tea w/ boba, 25% sweet - The osmanthus flavor is pretty cloying which tells me that the osmanthus tea is flavored with some sort of flavoring like syrup instead of using actual osmanthus flowers or tea leaves. For this reason, I wouldn't get this drink again. The drink was pretty sweet at 25% so I wouldn't get it any higher than that. The boba was good. Soy milk latte w/ mochi, add taro balls, 50% sweet - This was sooo sweet at 50%. The mochi foam they top this drink with is also really sweet. You can taste a lot of soy milk in this drink, and the tea flavor is in the background. It was a really sweet, soy milk nutty drink topped with sweet mochi foam. Not for me. The taro balls had the texture of chewy agar, not creamy like taro. read more

Teahut's coco mango drink is my newest obsession!!! If you typically go for mango sago drinks, then this is right up your alley. Not too sweet, the mango purée blends so well with the coconut milk, and coconut pudding is so soft! I come back time and time again for this drink and it never disappoints! Their milk tea base drinks are quite good too. My go to is the rice mochi taro milk tea. Teahut is also known for their fruity tea and slush drinks. Overall, diverse menu and very consistently good drinks. My go to boba spot whenever I'm in the area! My favorite drink is the emerald grape - yes the frosted one with spinach but do not be fooled, it's tasty and the subtle spinach flavor complements the drink well. My friend likes getting the four season milk tea - which is a tea blend you dont find too often in town which we appreciate! What had me practically dying to visit was their limited edition Orange Persimmon drink that my companion told me about. Tea Hut has a few locations in the Bay Area. This one in particular is minimalistic, quaint, and quiet. You order online or through the tablet inside. Drinks are made efficiently and the service was helpful and fun. Similar to other boba shops, you choose your drink and modify the ice levels, sweetness, and toppings. The Orange Persimmon was orangey, citrusy, and refreshing. I got my drink with Less Sweet which was perfect as the persimmon purée was sweet and soft. Minus the tart orange peel skin, I enjoyed my drink. My companion got their Pom Perfusion--their sixth-anniversary special. He felt that it was average but not special; a simple tart rose tea. Service is fast, the location is off California Street with street parking, and the drinks are good. I'd say it's decent but not memorable, though I'm quite curious about the other drinks they serve. read more

I stopped by this bubble tea shop and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and flavorful their milk tea is. I ordered Four Seasons Milk Tea. The tapioca pearls were soft with just the right amount of chewiness and was still warm when you take the first sip of the milk tea quick, clearly made fresh. I also really appreciated the sturdy cup along with a special lid that allows me to close the drink and keep it from contaminated. The ambiance by the window made it a relaxing place to sit and enjoy my drink. Tried this for the first time based off a friend's recommendation. I went for the Mochi Milk Tea, with recommended dairy and the mochi balls! The mochi balls came packaged separately, 3 pieces on a stick. They were chewy and tasted good dipped in the crema. Not sure if the mochi is made in house or not. The drink itself was nice and creamy, with a strong tea flavor while not being too sweet. They have an assortment of milk teas, coffees, fruit teas and slush drinks and the ability to adjust sugar levels, etc. You order through a kiosk which makes it simple, but there's only one kiosk, so you might have to wait for your turn. I ordered the Very Citrus which is a citrus slush fruit tea with osmanthus jelly. It was very refreshing and delicious! Their fruit teas are made from real fruit vs syrup, which is great in my opinion and can't wait to come back to try more varieties.
