If you're visiting this boba shop for the first time like me today, I've got some tips for you. This shop is Drive-Thru ONLY, so when you're about 4-5 minutes away, start driving slowly on your right side and get ready to join the line and place your order. We tried their Large Hokkaido Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba and another Large Brown Sugar Boba, and both were absolutely amazing! The tea was just the right strength, and I ordered mine with 50% sugar and no ice, which was perfect. Next time, we're excited to try their Takoyaki and Sweet Potato. Sservice was amazing! The girl was incredibly sweet and made sure to say hi and ask about our day. She confirmed our order before we paid. I'd definitely give her a 10/10! Can't wait to go back! read more

Hi MANAGEMENT PLEASE READ My husband and I genuinely love this place when it's good, it's really good. The drinks are refreshing, the food hits the spot, and it's usually our go-to spot for a treat. But unfortunately, the quality can be extremely hit or miss depending on who's working. There have been multiple times where the food tasted bland or off, the drinks were watered down, smoothies full of chunky ice, and the boba was so hard and cold it was almost inedible. We've noticed a clear pattern: whenever the guys are working, everything is on point -- flavorful, well-made, and just all around delicious. But on the days the girls are on shift, it's a completely different story. The drinks taste rushed and sloppy, and the overall experience feels careless. It's disappointing to even say that, especially as a woman myself, but the difference in quality is that obvious. We actually find ourselves hoping to hear a male voice when we pull up to order, because we know our drinks are about to be great. Update: I don't want a refund. I want the old recipe, the original brown sugar milk tea formula that we got before the shut down. Owner: I appreciate you leaving your number but i feel texting or calling u on this matter will bring emotions that you may not be ready for. Fyi I went on Tuesday night Dec 10th around 7pm. I tried the brown sugar milk tea and after tasting it I thought to myself this isn't the same, and maybe it's just an off day. I went back the next day on Wednesday, 5pm, and confirmed it was not an off day for yall. I've deemed boba ave/8090 the absolute best boba in LA. I've traveled all over Asia and can confirm it was the best. My pallet for milk tea is 2nd to none and I know the drop in change, and to ignore the recipe change would do the boba community an injustice. Thank u. Spoiler alert: they changed the recipe! The brown sugar milk tea is not he same since the reopening, December 2025. They changed the milk or something. The milk tea before was magically, with a sweet sugar tea taste, silky smooth texture and soft sweet boba. Recently after trying the reopen brown sugar milk tea, all that's changed. The new flavor is has a strange after taste, maybe burnt/Smokey flavor, texture is more watered down. We cannot ignore this change and if you're reading this boba ave, change it back. I have been wanting to try this place for so long and finally got around to it! My bf and I shared a large hokkaido milk tea with boba and no ice -- it was amazing. It did err on the side of too sweet, so I might try toning down the sweetness level if I get Hokkaido again. The portions are huge and the service was fast (although it wasn't busy when we were there so I can't attest to peak traffic hours). Things to note: - this is a drive thru only, no seating (so don't come here to study or socialize) - they can only adjust sweetness as 0%, 50%, or 100% read more

I've been to this boba location quite frequently as it's one of the few that stays open very late and whenever the wife has the boba craving it's always a huge hit! We are huge fans of the popcorn chicken and fries though today when I received my order it was a bit soggy. So though I can't recommend the consistent quality of the kitchen items, I can say that their drinks are great and I love that they have seasonal limited drinks. COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some outdoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located in the back. Not a lot of parking spots. It can get full very easily and quickly. Honestly, just park at the Aldi and CVS parking lot and walk over. There are plenty of parking spots over there. Drink: I ordered a jasmine milk green tea. It was a bit too sweet for me. Next time, I'll have to tell them 25% sweetness. Even though it was a bit too sweet for me, I still really liked my drink. It was bomb. This is the first drive through only boba place I've been to and I have to say with my social anxiety I love not having to go into a store to get boba. I love that I can just grab and go with my boba. On top of that the quality of the boba and drink is so good and the service is quick! I got the Uji matcha w cheese foam 100% and it was the perfect amount of mild (not too) sweet with just a little fresh grit in the matcha which I love and the cheese foam was so light and frothy!! I've been wanting to try a drive thru Boba place forever and was in the area. The menu is super small, so I was bummed it didn't have more options. I pulled up and an they asked for my order, but it turns out it was an automated voice or something so I had to repeat it when the girl was ready. I got a mango strawberry smoothie.
