After a long day on the road, we were craving comfort food. We stopped in and were greeted immediately. There was a sign out front saying they were hiring and after we were seated it was clear why. They are very short staffed and while the server did her best, it took extra time for everything to happen. She took our order and gave suggestions on sides and drinks. It did take a while for the food to come out but it was delicious when it arrived. Other than quiet, everything was fine inside. This was my first time here at this location and truth be told it was hidden from the road. I would never have found it if it weren't for gps. What they need is a large sign that can be seen from the highway. It's 5:30 pm on a Friday evening and we are the only customers here. So not sure how they stay in business. I'm guessing they make up for it on the weekends. The food is good! No complaints at all. I had the trio which was ham, turkey, pot roast with stuffing and mashed potatoes and carrots and onions. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because the staff was incredibly kind. Their food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The manager was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our server was also great; she ensured that we had everything we needed. I love bob evans food, and luckily this location is almost walking distance for me so over time I have given them decent business. Things have went down hill bad in the last year there. I call today and immediately told they have my order (apparently there's another regular with the same name... no big deal but I respond "that's not me"). The worker goes silent so I ask "should I start ordering" she tells me to hold on. As I go on to order I'm interrupted many times. I was told food would take 15-20 mins. Food ended up taking 30 minutes while the whole inside was empty. Again no big deal. They hand me the other person (same names) food. Thank god I check or I would've had an even worse experience. Finally I check my food and notice my gravy isn't on my potatoes. The worker looks me dead in the eye and says "you told me no gravy on the phone". First of all even if I did, I'm asking for it now. Second of all I've never in my life eaten mashed potatoes without gravy. I specifically asked for chicken gravy but in what world does a worker speak to a customer like this? Our waitress was inattentive it took 10 minutes just to get drinks and then another 40 minutes to get our food. other waitresses were busting butt getting orders out while our waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally the waitress came over to apologized and said there's only one cook after several more minutes she brought our food. Mine was warm my wife's was cold. As I was leaving i looked in the kitchen area and counted 3 cooks and a manager. I would not recommend this location. read more

Take out service sucks. I got a western omelet and got crusted up ground sausage instead of the ham, which is the only meat I really like there so was upset. When the original meal had ham, so have no clue why I got overcooked fatty sausage instead. The presentation was sloppy. With the brown avocado and not fresh tomato on top of the omelet it looked like puke. The only reason I gave this two stars is because when we eat there the servers are always kind. Worse food I ever had. Ordered blt got home it was awful. Just thrown in box, one piece of bread one way the other piece of bread turned opposite way not even sliced. This is a chain restaurant that provides lower quality food that most Bob Evan's. If your looking for long waits and poor service this is the spot for you. We dined in at the restaurant this evening where we were quickly seated and had our drink order taken as well as our food order. Waited 20 plus minutes for refills on drinks and food. This place is a management and kitchen nightmare that needs some intervention: 1. Employees are unhappy and look tired as if they are suffering working here. One waiter argued with customers and assused them of ordering the wrong items; 2. The steak I got tasted like a piece of meat frozen in the freezer for a decade; 3. I actually really enjoyed my experience here and prefer Bob Evans over iHop. They have both breakfast and lunch, different specials, and their prices are very reasonable. Was in Cbus for work and my boss suggested that we have a quick bite for breakfast at Bob Evans. Keep in mind that just flew in from the west coast the night before, so technically I was having breakfast at 4 AM. Bob Evans is located right next to the hotel that we're staying at so it was as convenient as it gets. Bob Evans is a fairly big breakfast/brunch joint with a huge opening once you walk in. The service is pretty good and their menu is pretty much what you'll find at IHOP, Denny's, and Coco's. Nothing really stood out to me and not much was said on any of the reviews regards to must tries. I opted for their Country Fried Steak, Eggs, and Wheat Toast. The food was decently sized, fresh, and favorful. Other reviewers stated that the service was below average, but at 7 AM it was pretty good. Our cups of joe were kept full and the orders were served fairly quick. I would recommend Bob Evans if you're in the area. However, since it's your basic breakfast food, it's not a place I see myself going out of the way to get to. read more

The more and more that I come here the more I really like it. We had a wonderful experience last night. Food was very tasty and affordable. The staff was very kind and attentive the entire night. We had an amazing waitress who checked on us often and provided recommendations on the menu. I got the pot pie dinner which included endless bread, salad, entree with one side, and dessert. You can make any dinner entree into a 3 course meal just by adding $2 more. So affordable! The pot pie crust was extremely flakey which is just the way I like it. The inside was hot and the vegetables and chicken seemed very fresh. I got coleslaw on the side which was great and bursting with flavor. I don't see why people are leaving bad reviews on here. You're getting great tasting food for a great price and a friendly and caring staff. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with a Bob Evans around but this may be my new favorite place for an affordable meal. read more

Well, I hate to say negative things about a place, but this is just an exception. Came in with a friend from school for breakfast, an it was mediocre from the start. Coffee cups were dirty, silverware was also dirty, our waitress seemed bothered by us asking for new ones. Then our food came out fairly quick, but was missing parts of our meal. This Bob Evans is seemingly better than the others I've been to. We've been here twice now, and each experience was pleasant. The food is nicer than say, the Awful Waffle, but don't go in here expecting a gourmet experience either. It's just a nice place to go when you want some home style food without breaking the bank. I highly recommend the lemon bread, it's just the right amount and not too tart. The coffee is also really great. Don't drink the water though (tap, it's nasty). The roasted chicken and chicken pot pie are great, as well as the eggs, sausage, and pancakes. I'm yet to receive crispy hash browns. Staff is friendly, attentive, and the place is clean. Everytime I come to this location I leave disappointed. I usually only come for breakfast but we decided to eat dinner here tonight, and it was worse then ever. It took about 5 minutes for the server to get my drink order and another 10 minutes for her to bring it back. I got a deep dish chicken noodle dinner with barley any chicken noodle soup on it. Our server never came back to check on us so I stopped a manager and asked for more soup, he said ok and walked away (never apologised) and never brought any back to me. I see why everyone else says the service here is horrible. I placed an order online for the curbside service. Upon arriving 10 minutes early, I called and they said that my food wasn't ready (that's fine since I'm early) and that it'll be approximately 15 minutes. Then they said that they didn't offer curbside service after dark, which is also fine if they would have just mentioned that somewhere online before I place my order. So I went into the restaurant 15 minutes later, but my food still wasn't ready and they said it was probably gonna be another 10 minutes. They weren't even apologetic about it which was the worst part. I'm a pretty patient person and when this has happened at other restaurants, as long as they're nice and sincere about it, I have no problem waiting. All in all, I spent more than a half hour just waiting for my food, which should have been ready right on time since I placed the order online more than an hour in advance. Essentially the same as ordering right in the restaurant and waiting for my food. Haven't tried the food from this branch but will definitely not be coming back anytime soon! P.S. Had Sara as our waitress and she was amazing. I never had to ask for anything because she was on top of it before I even had the chance. Kept the coffee and drinks filled, she was also very ery pleasant and friendly. Additionally, the portions of food were better than I have become used to. For a while it seems like you'd have to order more than the breakfast platters to get full at Bob Evans. But today's visit (8/25/2021) proved that wrong. Nobody in our party was able to eat everything they brought and the food was great. Ok, maybe the grits were a little over cooked, but nothing a little butter couldn't fix. All around a surprisingly pleasant experience that makes me want to go back again.
