Every time I order from this specific location, something is always wrong. Fries forgotten, sauce forgotten, etc etc. I've worked in fast food, it's really not that hard to read a ticket, unless of course you're uneducated. Don't even get me started on the pickles. This place is perpetually out of them. Order after order, no pickle slice. Must be my dumb luck they gave the last pickle slice out just before I walked in. As for the customer service, it sucks. Especially at night, the employees look at you like you're stupid for trying to get your order fixed, like you're wearing the uniform so chop chop. They look at you like they don't even work there, like I'm not the one that can't read a ticket. Put the fries in the bag. read more

Went there for the 2nd time last night. To bad it will be our last time. First time was ok. Food is good but they lack in application. I had ordered the Smokehouse Beef and Chedder and the Engineer both were good except they were very heavy in the mayo. So when we went back we got the Classic Triple BBQ Stack, and the Carolina Gold BBQ Triple Stack and we told them no mayo and the slaw on the side. Charged us a $1.80 for the slaw on the side even though it comes with it on the sandwich. It smelled weird and tasted weirder like the cabbage was off. Go to open the sandwich boxes. We didn't think we were last in line after there online orders. Customers coming inside should be served immediatly. Cashier took too long to greet us when waiting over 5 minutes to take order because busy doing online orders. Waited 25 minutes to make a sandwhich! Love the food and their options. Love that they have gluten free bread options. Hate how the receipt prints in a weird way and they don't mark the sandwiches well-especially the gluten free where is super matters. There are a lot of sandwich joints around, but this one is leaps and bounds above the rest. It's consistently delicious. Toasted subs with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and a wide selection of sandwiches. I personally LOVE the Italian sub (no mustard). They like tons of quality meats on with fresh veggies and shredded lettuce. Food was fine, behavior was appalling. We had a sleeping baby as some woman is walking around with a mop screaming about how she has OCD and it's terrible in here, I understand it's a place of business and it can't be silent but maybe have a little respect and don't be yelling right next to a sleeping child. Also we can still hear you screaming the F-bomb in the back of your kitchen, especially with young children in there and you're yelling the f-bomb. I am honestly disgusted with firehouse subs, will not be going back. So far, I've been to this particular Firehouse twice. The first time I tried their Italian sub, and the second I had the Hook and Ladder. Both times I had to wait 15-20 minutes for them to prepare my sub, despite there only being a few people in the restaurant. The subs themselves could have been really good, but I guess the Firehouse way is to put a sweet sauce on all of their subs. I personally like my subs to be savory, so this was off putting for me. Other than that, they use a good portion of meat, so they're pretty filling. After considering the wait time and the sweet flavor of their subs, I probably won't be returning to Firehouse any time soon. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place since we hadn't before. He had the meatball sub, he LOVED it, said best he's had. I had the turkey bacon ranch, bland. Ranch sauce had no flavor other than a little tang. Turkey tasted like nothing. I tried adding mayo to see if that would help, but it didn't. I had lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, oil and vinegar on it. It mightve been my choices, but these are what I usually get anywhere. Would not go there again. We are visiting from out of town and wanted lunch but it add only 1030 am. We saw Firehouse was open and stopped in. It's a clean restaurant and it is very well decorated. I got the Philly and my husband got the Meatball (the large is HUGE) They were both very good and fresh.one One problem I did have was the way the manager was talking to the employees. Disappointed. On our way home from a soccer game and I was excited to try Firehouse subs. They had gluten free bread and it's been a while since I've had a sandwich. My family ordered 4 sandwiches and none of us got everything we ordered on our then. My club sandwich was missing the bacon, cheese, onion and pickle. This place was a complete joke. I heard they were good and expected a lot more from a place trying to stand out from the sub crowd. I arrived about an hour before they closed to grab a bite to eat. How did I know they were going to close? The chairs were already up on the table. I guess having to clean up after someone would totally throw off their closing routine. While I was waiting for my Chicken Bacon Ranch to be made, the employees were yelling at each other from opposite ends of the building. We're talking 30-50 feet and I'm in the middle of their conversation. The girl actually making my sub was acting somewhat embarrassed by her coworkers. I got my chips and grabbed my bag with my sub in it. I asked if everything was in the bag and walked out of the establishment. The reason I asked if everything was in the bag is because the bag weighed less than I imagined. The sandwich was tasty, but the size to price ratio is a little insane. I ended up spending $9 on 1/4 of a pickle, a bag of sun chips, a medium drink, and an alright sandwich. It was a pretty crummy experience. It doesn't stand out as being the sub place but it is not the worst either. I came here Sunday for lunch and I was pleased with my sub but I am not running back here for a sub either. I order the Firehouse Hero which has Ham, turkey breast, and roast beef with provolone. The amount of meat on my sub was very substantial and I really enjoyed the flavor of the meat. It was a little sweeter than I like but I could have placed some hot sauce on this to offset the sweetness and chose not to. They have wheat or white buns which is a must for me. I would love to see rye or a whole grain bread choice. The sub cost $6 for 8 inches which is an ok price but more expensive then when i go to Subway. But then they put more meat on their sub than Subway. Other pros: -Coke machine to mix flavors (1,69-2.50), huge variety of hot sauce ranging from 1-10, They have charity options to help give back to the "community" (local or national Idk?), service was functional (max of 5 minutes to wait), 10-15 various subs to choose from. The negatives: Price is a little high compared to other sub places, they forgot to give me my pickle, lack of veggie options to place on the sub, It is a sub only place. I am glad i just went in and ordered after reading that phone in orders are useless from the previous reviewers. OMG - this is my NEW favorite sub place!! Love it too!! We stopped in here this afternoon for lunch - on a Saturday - and this place was hoppin'! We almost couldnt find a place to eat - luckily they had some seating on the side (bar stools). They also have the Coke machine where you can mix your own Coke products. If you want a Sprite with raspberry flavoring -- you've got it!! We will definitely be back. They pretty much slide in the #1 spot for subs in the area!!! Delish!!! read more

Ok, I wrote one a while back explaining why I didn't like this place. I got a message from a person named Hinal P. asking to give them another try and I'll get a free sub. I declined professionally and said I'll try it again and said I'll pay for my own meal. So I deleted my review and decided to put an updated one up. I appreciate the care this person had, but the subs were still nasty in my opinion. Italian- most dry sub I've ever ate in my life. Felt like I was eating sand. Absolutely NO Italian dressing on it at all and it had an unusual taste. The best part about the sub was the onion. New York Steamer & Hook and Ladder were the two new ones I tried with my wife and to be honest, we both didn't like it. We tried a bite of each other's subs I'm sorry to say, I just think the subs from this place is not that great. The Hook and Ladder was good for one bite, then it grew to where I didn't like it by the 2nd bite and it seems all the subs that I've tasted has something to it I don't like. I've been a few times for their delicious warm veggie sub on a wheat bun. It reminds me of the veggie sub at The Thurman, minus the mayo. It is by no means healthy, but good for a splurge, especially when you add chips and pop. The pop machine is cool and has many varieties; I got a Vanilla Root Beer (yeehaw!). Place is clean, staff is nice, and the service was fast. The Italian and Hero both tasted fresh with a nice size portion but were to sweet. Not sure if it is sugar ham or the Italian dressing was off but the taste wasn't the best fit for a sub. The Brisket was super good for a fast food place. So this was first visit. Let me say the food was good, except for the chili. I got an Italian and my girlfriend got the club. She thought the food was good as well. Both were mediums and my son got a kids meal. Total hit $20. The prices reminded me of a deli in an airport or deli in a downtown building. Now to the meat of the review. For cost efficiency this is NOT a place to go. The prices are a bit high and for two med subs, a kids meal and a chili to be $20 I thought wow thats steep, for some subs! The chili was not all that good, and cold too. I asked for brownies for my sons kids meal and got oreo cookies, and they didn't give him the hat. So for the prices being so high for so little, the chili being not so good and cold, and my sons order missing things I give them a 1*. Since the subs were good they gain a star. I bought a 12" Turkey sub on wheat, took it home, commenced to eating it but after I finished about 5" or so, I spotted mold on the bread. I called immediately and the lady said I could get 2 free subs. Fearing a repeat mold incident, I requested a refund instead. I returned with my half-eaten moldy sandwich, showed her the mold, and she was able to refund me $8 from my $12 meal. Whatevs. Keep your $4 for a drink and bag of chips.... keep your free subs too. I was introduced to this place by one of my Mechanics at work. My first thought was, oh another sub joint, but after having it I know that comment is wrong. The subs are delicious, fresh, and original. They don't compare to other sub restaurants. Our family loves Firehouse! Great subs with a very consist product. The Hook n' Ladder is my favorite! The meat and cheese has an excellent flavor and the bread is great.
