Boyfriend and I were traveling and didn't want hotel food. Our waitress, Andrea was such a sweetheart. She was very personable and attentive to our table. I ordered the Mini Sampler with scrambled egg, hashbrowns with onion and mushrooms, biscuit, and chicken sausage link. Soooo good! Boyfriend ordered the carnivore plate with bacon, sausage links, 2 eggs, scrambled & hashbrowns w/ onion. He also ordered a side of French toast and side of sausage gravy and biscuits. I helped with French toast and added some gravy on my taters. Everything was fresh, hot, and good.

Quick and easy stop. Basic breakfast fare and the veggie bowl was a nice option to have. Good prices at their mini market out front and honestly very good and friendly service, super personable waitress. Drinks always full, checked in on us multiple times. I would stop again

You already know what you're going to get with a Bob Evans restaurant. But, this one was recently redone and the interior is very welcoming, clean, and new. They had newer types of seating areas, which looks to be good for large and small groups, which is a win in this location. The food is mediocre, at best, my omelet had little taste, minimal filling, and seemed to be something I could get from a hospital cafeteria. Sadly, the hash browns were burnt on one side and barely cooked on the other. But, the biscuits, not pictured, were golden brown and perfect.

See for yourself. The food has really gone downhill at Bob Evans. To the left is the fruit plate I was served with rotted cantelope and 1 lousy rotten strawberry. To the right is what it's supposed to look like.

Great food at a good price. This place is popular among the locals and the staff was exceptional. The portions are generous and the specialty breakfast selection is a must.

For 3 consecutive years, the Thanksgiving dinner was cold. One year the corn had ice chunks.

They serve breakfast all day. It's usually busy whenever I go for dinner around 5 or 6pm but service is quick. It might be hard to navigate and find a seat because it's a small place. The string lines are cute. They have music playing and Pixar movies on the TV. My favorite is the Sweet Brunch Sandwich. I also really like their biscuits and sausage gravy. Their home fries have the perfect amount of crispiness. I've tried other things on the menu and it's all been decent. Their flavored iced coffee was not great, though. I mean it's a diner so it's not like... super fancy and I wouldn't exactly say it's worth going out of your way for. I gave a bonus star for the service :)

Today we finally caught our chance, and I'm so glad we did. The diner is small and bustling, with closely spaced tables and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We grabbed a seat and were impressed by the expansive menu, but for our first visit we stuck with classic favorites: a cod fish sandwich and a single cheeseburger. Both were absolutely delicious. My husband is convinced the French fries were the best he's ever had--and that's saying something after 65+ years of fry-tasting experience. My Saratoga chips were crisp, light, and full of flavor. A great first experience, and definitely not our last visit.

The actual hostess stand is around the corner. Wait time: 10 minutes with no one in front of us. As mentioned above the hostess Stan is around the corner and they aren't always looking to see if anyone is standing there. Atmosphere: western themed steakhouse. Basically the only steakhouse in Eastgate, which leads it to be very busy on a weekend. Service: we had a very nice old lady, she was very attentive while everyone else was focused on the snow. She was focused on her customers. Food: food is always top notch and plentiful. Served hot, love the bread. I got the country fried steak with extra gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans - I wasn't a fan of the green beans - they were spicy and tasted canned. The mashed potatoes and the country fried steak however were delicious! I also like how they packaged everything seperatly so the gravy didn't make the meat soggy on the way home. The fried chicken was delicious! We both thought it was prepared perfectly. The seasoning was flavorful, the skin slightly crispy and the chicken meat juicy. I chose the side salad and the jalapeño cheddar potatoes for my sides and my husband had the mashed potatoes and green beans. We both enjoyed the sides. My husband said the green beans were really good. I liked the jalapeño cheddar potatoes but found the bagged shredded cheese a bit unappealing. It didn't melt well, was greasy and then congealed while cooling. The potatoes with jalapeños were decent, though. It was a lot of food. We would probably split the chicken next time and order extra sides. The service was fine, the food was good and we'll return to check out more of menu.
