Service was decent but the seating wasn't great. I recommend not sitting near the kitchen door on the right side by the bar. It was loud and cramped with everyone passing by. Have eaten here 2 or 3 times, including tonight. We started with the fried pickle spears--fantastic--at least the second best we've ever had. We each had a dinner salad--large and good. I had a cup of chili (meh) and we split an order of boneless wings. They allow you to have 2 different sauces if you get a dozen. They were great--we even had to take some home. Hi! I'm more writing this review towards management because i was on hold for 37 min. It's clear that you need more staff. I called to place an order and the guy said to give him 5 minutes on hold bc there was people in front of me. I said okay. After some time, i decided to place my order on line. I stayed on hold bc i wanted to ask a question about my order, and even made it to the restaurant and no one had came back to the phone. After about 15min at the restaurant, someone just eventually hung up on me. I know what it's like to be a restaurant employee that doesn't have the support they need. Please help them out. read more

This place is a joke! Restaurant was nearly empty(maybe 4 tables, and a couple people at the bar). Got our appetizer after about 20 minutes. Waited 40 minutes for food which never arrived. The only time we saw our waitress, she was sitting at the bar yacking with a customer. Finally had to go to the bartender to cancel our order(we had to leave). She sends the manager over, who gives a half-ass apology and doesn't even comp the appetizer for our trouble. And these servers out here crying 30% tip should be minimum, or stay at home. read more

Heard the absolute worst steak ever here. When the steak was brought out, I could smell that something was off with the steak. Cut off one bite and put in my mouth and had to spit out immediately as it was rancid. Upon looking further at the stake, I could also tell that it had a grayish tent to it. Called the manager over and explained everything and had the state taken away. While he offered to bring another steak, I politely declined as I couldn't fathom putting that in my mouth again. I am there with a large quantity of people so at the end of our meal, the waitress proceeds to bring me a bill for my four dollar Coke! As I was with this large group of people, I did not wanna make a scene and just paid for the four dollar Coke. Service was good the problem is with the pricing and portion sizes. The wings which they are known for are very lackluster as there is almost no chicken in the boneless wings and are 90% breading and very tough to chew. Taking that into account the pricing is almost double of what other local restaurants offer with much better wings. The portion sizes are also way off as it was $5 for a side of fries and what came out was smaller than a small size of fries from McDonald's. Also found it off putting for the customer to have to pay for their cup of ranch that should come with the wings. Do they not offer 1 complimentary cup for customers!?We decided we will not be going back as it's not worth the price or food and there are much better wing options out there for better prices. read more

First time trying this chain and so worth it. I enjoyed the baby back ribs and wings combo with fries and slaw. The ribs were amazing. Wings were good just ordinary wings. Fries were good. Slaw, my husband and I did not care for it but slaw is a personal preference on the type you like. My husband order 2 meals (it's typical). He had the ribeye with the beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. The steak was amazing (I tried a bite or 2 or 3). He love the potatoes and beans. The second meal he ordered so we could try was the Mac and cheese skillet with pulled pork. The Mac and cheese was delicious. We occasionally eat and drink here. Tonight was the last straw and I don't plan on coming back any time soon. Bartender was great. Restaurant was cold, like 65 degrees cold. Im sure the cooks were comfortable but the patrons were not. Ordered ribs and wings. Ribs were good. Wings came out luke warm and sauce appeared to have been dumped on them instead of tossed as they were not evenly coated and had a few bare wings. At $17 for 12 small (i mean small) wings they had better be perfect. They weren't. Cheese sauce with wife's broccoli side was so cold it was almost solid. I think this is the third time in a row where food was served, basically cold. At these premium prices I expect better but apparently this is the norm. A few beers and luke warm wings and sides later we are out nearly $70 and not happy about anything except the nice bartender, reasonable beer prices and tasty ribs. The rest sucked. read more

We visited Quaker Steak and Lube at the Cincinnati location. When we walked in, one side of the restaurant was closed. We found out later, that was due to labor issues, which is becoming the norm for lots of businesses. The food here is always good, as well as the service. This is the second time they've had the TVs turned up unbearably loud. I asked the waitress twice if they could turn it down, and asked for a manager. One never came. I couldn't finish my meal, so I asked to have a box and left only half done. Too bad, it's one of our go-to places for the food and usual atmosphere, but it will be a long time, if ever, before I set foot in there again. Lovely Quaker Steak and Lube - just like every other Quaker Steak we've been to. Fast service, fresh and delicious wings, and amazingly yummy french fries and ranch. Would come back in a heartbeat - though we always try to aim for off-peak hours because this place can get BUSY during peak hours. PROS: -Delicious food - as always. You definitely go to Quaker Steak and Lube for their Wings. Boneless or bone-in, that's definitely what they're known for - in addition to the freakishly large list of sauces ranging from slightly hot to holy-shit-hot. If you love spicy wings, you might never leave Quaker Steak. -Their french fries and ranch aren't to be outdone though. Both are absolutely amazing. Ranch is perfectly creamy and addictive and the fries are so warm, never-greasy, and delicious. I'm not a Wings person, but I am 100% a "Quaker Steak and Lube Fries" person. -Cook times are perfect too. I'm always impressed by how quickly Quaker Steak and Lube gets my food to me, and this location does an amazing job of it as well. When my tablemate received his order of wings and wanted another fresh, hot order of wings to eat next, he placed his order, and it was done pretty much exactly as he was finishing the current order. -Anyone who's been in a Quaker Steak and Lube interior will remember it. It has an adorable "mechanic" theme (based off of their humble upbringings) and it's beautiful. Lots of yellows and greens, and lots of cars/motorcycles/etc. hanging off from the ceiling. It's pretty awesome. It definitely seals the "mechanic" feel to the restaurant. -When you're done with your meal, you'll get warmed wet wipes and Twizzlers. The warmed wet wipes have yet to actually negated having to wash hands after eating their Wings, but it's a good start to ensure you don't make a mess on the way to the bathrooms. -Calorie counts are on all of the menu items. Honestly, Quaker Steak and Lube is not a place to go if you're watching your calories, though. It's hard to find anything that's semi-reasonable. CONS: -This Quaker Steak is located in the weirdest spot. All of the restaurants are. It's like someone didn't do any city planning in this part of the area. You have to drive through a Meijer parking lot to reach the restaurant - and drive back through it to leave. It's odd. -I have nothing actually useful. Really, I have nothing. I love the other Quaker Steak and Lube locale in northern Cincy, and I love this one too. They've done a fantastic job. read more

Ate here about 8 pm on a Saturday night. REALLY REALLY slow service considering there were only half a dozen tables with patrons. Food was very good, but I've had chicken nuggets from McDonald's that were bigger than the chicken tenders. The waitress was accommodating and did bring me a few more. The management staff is friendlier than the other location nearby (Milford). We came to this Colerain location for the Tuesday's $14.99 all you can eat wings. Sampled mild, golden garlic, smoky gold bbq, and original bbq. All pretty good. After your initial 10 wings the refills come out in increments of 4. Since every table nearby was cashing in on the same deal, the waitress was making her rounds pretty frequently and efficiently. If I have to pick my favorite right now it would be the mild. I'm a classic chick, what can I say. We'll have to come out again to try the rest of the sauces, but I can't do anything above Arizona Ranch which is 2,050 SHU. The alcoholic beverages sound delicious, though we didn't indulge in any, but the lemonade is the absolute best you can get anywhere. Freshly squeezed and just the right amount of sweetness. Burgers and other sandwiches are really good, as well. This location is a short drive beyond retail stores and through a construction site (another restaurant?) beside the Olive Garden. There is no drive up "Wingo Window" here for take out orders, like Milford has. I'm considering trying a new item: fish tacos! read more

Sports bar with a menu that's a notch above. Great ambiance with lots of sets, drink specials and a penchant for motorcycles (lots of them hung from the ceiling!). I have been coming here for 5+ years. When i go in the front door i always turn to the right and go to the bar. It is nice that whoever is behind the bar knows what the wife and i drink and starts to take care of us. We were there this past Friday night and just like normal, our drinks were being made. Kristen was busy getting her station ready for her shift, doing bar work, but knew what we normally drink. She has always been on the ball to take care of ALL of her customers. To suggestions from not only her but other staff members on trying something new. Funny thing is we have never had bad service, one of the reasons we keep coming back. I headed over to Ohio to meet friends for lunch and they wanted to go to Quaker Steak & Lube. My friend is originally from Pennsylvania, and this is where this chain restaurant was started. I am not a fan at all of chain restaurants, but this one was decent. I started out with their hot wing challenge. Now please keep in mind when it comes to heat, I am a freak. I have never eaten anything that was to hot for me. I have defeated every heat challenge without breaking a sweat. With the disclaimer, this hot wing challenge was a walk in the park. However, overall the wings were cooked perfectly and the sauce had a nice touch of heat and great flavor. I had a salad and my date had the chicken sandwich. Across from me was two burgers. Everything looked good and people seemed to be happy. There was plenty of grilled chicken on my salad, The chicken was seasoned well and had good flavor. The rest of the salad was well constructed and help fill me up. I would overall give the food a 3 (above average). There was two reason I decided to go with a four for this chain restaurant. One reason was the prices. Overall, the prices were decent! Any up-charges were immediately explained at the time of order. The other reason was the service. Our party had a very attentive waitress who was detail oriented. She seemed happy and appeared to enjoy working at this establishment. Overall, the place was clean and well taken care of. The ambiance was casual with a sorta sports bar flair. There aren't many chain restaurants worthy of either my time or money, but Quaker Steak & Lube meets my standards. Every time I pass Quaker Steak and Lube on the freeway the parking lot is full. I open the coupon books that come in the mail, and there are coupons for Quaker Steak and Lube. I have been curious for some time, and yet it has taken me a year to try this place. Start you engines race fans, and speed into Quaker Steak and Lube. We were sure glad that we did. While we are not race fans, the racing themed decor was fun to look at. There are full sized race cars suspended from the ceiling. Food was hot and fresh. My husbands mac & cheeseburger was the best thing we tried. While I wasn't particularly fond of the sauce on the Lubeburger (a little too acidic for my tastes,) I enjoyed the way the mushrooms were cooked. Best of all, the burger was actually cooked the way I ordered it. My children liked that their food came in a paper race car. My son really liked his ranch wings. Menu options go beyond burgers and wings. Salmon dishes, salads and steaks are also available. The size of their menu surprised me. I look forward to trying more of their menu options in the future.
