Items forgotten, rolls brought out after we were finished and still over $70 for 3 people to eat dinner. Glad Ii didn't get my cowboy fries, at least saved some there. I was very disappointed with my meal today at Bob Evans. I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner, which I thought was $7.99 from a email I received from them. That's what I told the server. My meal came and everything tasted weird. I couldn't describe what was wrong with the carrots, just the taste was not good. The stuffing had little pieces of something that wasn't identifiable and was okay. The turkey was paper thin cut and dry. Mash potatoes okay only because of the gravy. Service was good. However I was charged $11.99 for my meal. I said something to the cashier and she stated since I got two sides I didn't get the special for $7.99. It wasn't worth arguing over what I said to the server when I ordered my meal so I paid it and left ( most of the meal wasn't eaten). This was not a good experience! read more

Horrible dinner service. There must have been only 5/6 other tables that had people, but it was dead. The waitress was rude, and not attentive, no drink refills or anything after food was served. I got grilled chicken that was DRIPPING with grease. And on top of that we did not get any rolls, and there weren't any being made. Brought the family here on a Sunday morning before the church rush. We were seated immediately, but that's about as good as it got. The waitress got our drink orders wrong and our coffee cups sat empty for 15 minutes. They were promoting their prime rib breakfast, so that's what my wife and I ordered. They came back 30 MINUTES LATER let us know that they didn't have enough prime rib for both of us to order the breakfast, so they said we could split the prime rib that they had into two omlets instead. After waiting an hour for our meal, they brought out the most burnt piece of bacon that I'd ever seen (pictured). When the waitress finally refilled our coffee, she dumped coffee onto our biscuits (which I can understand was an accident), but she didn't even acknowledge it and walked away. It turned out to be a good thing she ruined our biscuits though, because as I cleaned up her mess, I found a hair on the plate. Overall, it was just one frustration after another, the manager was nowhere to be seen, and we cancelled our plans to come back here for Christmas and likely ever again. The only one who deserves a star is the server. We have been eating here for close to ten years and our server today has been there, it seems, as long as we've been going there. She was moving nonstop the entire time and, during the 40 minutes we waited for our food, it became apparent she was frequently returning incorrect orders to the cook. Ours was no different. My husband's over easy eggs had hard broken yolks and my crepes were cold. Our server immediately ordered new eggs and I heard her ask the cook twice if they were ready. There was no apparent manager around and the servers seemed to be sinking despite their best efforts. Needless to say, Bob Evans will be replaced as our breakfast stop. My thoughts are with the staff. Btw-hubby left a generous tip as the issues were obviously not the server's fault. read more

They were sad on their grilled cheese and under filled our soups and drinks... Not a happy camper.i think that the customer service was bad and the girl that helped was annoyed at me for taking my time as order (I know that that can be annoying but it was actually pretty fast) I didn't know what soups they had so I asked and she got annoyed even more she didnt know what meal ideas they had so she asked over and over again if I wanted a grilled cheese AND a bowl of soup then I showed her my phone and the meal and she said OK sharply. I found a large piece of plastic in my food that management figured out was part of a bread tie since that area is the counter they open their bread at. I gave it to the woman that was in charge insisted on having a free meal certificate mailed to me as the manager was not present. I thanked her and told her I was not after free food just ask the staff to be careful and finally told her I would take the certificate. I do not live in the area and stopped as I passed by when traveling in that area. I always wondered why I have never seen that lot full as others I have visited. We visited this location (4 in our party total) this past Saturday morning (around 11:00 am). We got seated quickly and sat for about 10 min or so when our server approached our table and immediately went in to this story about how "they" assigned her a 20 top and there was one waitress that didn't come to work that day. This honestly should have been our cue to LEAVE. But, we stayed. I ordered coffee and water, and good thing I ordered water, because she never came back to refill my coffee. We were there until almost 1:00 (not by choice, just captive waiting on our food to come). When our food did come, it was cold-ish and my side of gravy began to harden on top, as if it had sat too long under the heat lamp awaiting table delivery. My roast beef in my breakfast bowl consisted of 2 hardened chunks of basically beef jerky at that point. $67.00 later (including the tip), we left. It was a great reminder of why it had taken me 10 years before Saturday to go to Bob Evans. I see some things just never change. ***EDIT to respond to the owner who chose to respond to my review*** Dear Owner, You need not look too far to see that I am certainly not an exception, when it comes to less than stellar experiences at your location. I am befuddled as you why you would choose my review to respond, but, since you did- as a fellow business owner, I feel compelled to respond to your response. With many locations of Bob Evans having been on the chopping block for several consecutive years now, I'm shocked that no where in your response did you even hint at customer retention. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for a free meal or anything- but it's a little telling as far as the direction your location is headed. I encourage you to continue reading reviews for your location, just as you were clearly capable of doing with mine and see, my issue on Saturday is certainly not atypical. In fact, it seems to be the norm (and that's just with customers who take the time to even yelp about it). If you can't retain customers that are the lifeblood of your business, you won't be in business. I'm positive you know that. Perhaps you just don't care about that until you are forced to by closing your doors, like many locations prior to you have had to do too. Very small serving sizes when compared to other Bob Evans Restaurants we have been at. Chicken was served hot. Serving sizes of entree and sides were small except for the macaroni and cheese. Service was poor and scarce. There are better restaurants and choices in this area. read more

Bob Evans is one of my Dad's favorite restaurants (give a country boy sausage gravy and biscuits and he's happy) so I've been to more than my share of them throughout the US. My friend, CK, and I came here after going for a jog at 3 Creeks Metro Park the other week and I didn't expect it to be much different from the others. And it wasn't. Except they had flat screen TVs showing the World Cup. That alone bumps them up to 4 stars in my book =) But really, they were so accommodating with our request that we have a table where both of us could see the TV that they seated us a table that was too big for 2 people just so we could be annoying watching World Cup action! They also have free wifi, so I'll definitely be coming back when there's matches on in the middle of the day and I don't feel like going to a bar or pub! read more

We waited over an hour for our arty of 6 to be called to be seated and yes there were lots of people waiting to be seated but to our surprise when they finally seated us we at least counted 8 empty tables clean and ready to go EMPTY!! we ordered and our food came and the tables still sat EMPTY! WTH!! Lol.. So we ordered drinks my wife got root beer and I got a diet coke when the waitress comes back with the drinks she looks at her tray and takes a glass and stick it up to her nose and said "yep this is the root beer" lol never seen that before. read more

I give three stars because even though the initial experience started a little rocky, the end result wasn't bad. The food is always delicious. It was my boyfriends first time here...we sat at the bar and waited a few minutes before our server came and took our drink order. Coffee and juice. No menu was given nor any silverware. I made a comment to the guy next to us that it would be nice to have something to stir our coffee with. He was also waiting. He said something to one of the servers walking by about silverware. Which we promptly got. Still no menus. Again, the guy next to us said something and we promptly got menus. Our original server was helping a large group. Ordered our food and as always, delicious! The man next to us, ended up paying for our meal to our surprise. As it turns out, he works for Bob Evans. He said he didn't want us to know, but he obviously knew that the service initially, wasn't good and wanted to rectify the situation. Kind gesture on his end and representing his company. Dirtiest restaurant I've personally ever been to. From crumbs and gunk all over the booths to splatters all over the table dividers, dirty silverware, worst tea ever, to hair in my sons food! And to top it off, the morning servers and manager on duty are HORRIBLE. A joke really. Waited 10 mins to be sat when restaurant only had 4 tables inside! We love Bob Evans and have been to many, but we left this branch rather disappointed. The waitress was hardly ever seen. I even asked my wife once if we did have a waitress as we never saw her. The manager came out to check on us to see if everything was okay and she looked like she had been spackling drywall for the entire day. We all looked at each other after the manager left and wondered if the messy and grotesque looking manager really did just appear at our table. Some of our food was burnt too. A couple other small things (like dirty restrooms) left us thinking that next time we'll drive a little longer or further to the next Bob Evans. I hope management steps up and fixes these things, so this branch can be a good representation for Bob Evans. read more

I've eaten here several times and each time I never know what kind of service I'll get ... mostly it's bad. The managers here simply can't get the kitchen adequately staffed. Tonight was the last time that I'll eat here. It took over 35 minutes to get a plate of chicken and mashed potatoes to my table. One table of a mom and 2 children had to leave because their food wasn't ready. No sign of the manager who should have been in the dining room offering apologies and price reductions for the slooow service. Terrible! read more

I like almost all the food at Bob Evans, but when it comes to ordering food to go it has been messed up at least 4 times out of 5. If they tell you it will be ready in 10 minutes plan on it being a half an hour, always check your order before you leave the store. read more
