I have been to other Scramblers but this was the first time I went to the one in Canal Winchester. I was not disappointed despite I got the Chocolate Chip pancakes by mistake, but it was corrected with my order of The Classic with three scrambled eggs, pork sausage links potato chunks and the buttermilk pancakes, along with a Diet Pepsi to wash it down. Terra took great care of me and rest of my group. I will be back at the Scramblers in Canal Winchester again in the near future because of a great service and great staff. Great customer service with decent food! It was mildly busy on Sunday morning around 10 am but we were able to get seated quickly. The hostess was wonderful and super friendly. She took our drink order as soon as we sat down and gave us time to review the menu. Once our waitress came by, she brought our drinks and took our order. We had ordered coffee and I loved that they bring you a coffee carafe to refill it yourself. Coffee was decent but it wasn't strong. I had the mini chicken fried steak and even though it was a "mini", it was plenty of food - one steak, 3 eggs, and two sides. I had the grits as one of my side dishes and although I could taste the black pepper, they lacked salt. The country fried steak was crispy and the gravy was tasty. read more

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch! When you first enter, there is a large sign board with specials. In addition, they have a regular menu and seasonal menu. We love to go for a late breakfast, which works well since they're open until 3 pm. We've tried several entrees on the breakfast menu. One of my favorites is the Surf's Up with eggs, cream cheese, and shrimp. I'm not a fan of the Hollandaise, but they have always been accommodating and left it off. I usually order double bacon instead of toast. It's the only place I've been that will allow you to substitute bacon for toast. The food comes out quick and hot. Our servers have always been pleasant and made sure we were happy with everything. read more

Love ordering here via doordash. Scramblers at Canal really pay attention to your order especially when you want ingredients in or out of your meal and its delicious. Huge portions as well--perfect for lumberjacks... Just saying I always ask for the ultimate omelette. Getting it omelette style egg is usually rubbery--So I recommend getting the ultimate omelette *scrambled--that way its softer. I mean they are called scramblers for a reason lol. The place was descent food wise but was really bad hygiene wise. The pancakes, French toast and waffle tasted really good. The omelet's and fritta were fine. Fish and chips dint taste very good. They do not wash their plates and glasses well because the main issue i had here was the plastic glasses they served water in were stinking of egg smell and they dint replace the glasses and we were never offered any straws as well. Robin, our waitress, was clearly unhappy with having to serve us. She failed to tell us about upcharges on our order and acted annoyed with us when one of us said that the milk tasted bad & requested a different drink. The manager was told of Robin's poor attitude and failure to inform us of the upcharges and basically ignored the situation. We have ordered from this Scramblers location twice now and have been satisfied with the service and the food! Our service on Mother's Day was a little slow, but that was to be expected. The dining room and patio are both open. It looks like they are following the social distancing guidelines due to the pandemic as I noticed tables that were marked off as not available for seating to ensure that all diners are at least six feet apart. I noticed that all servers were wearing masks too. For both takeout orders, our food was still piping hot and fresh when we opened our containers at home. I had the Awesome Avocado omelette both times and it is so good! The omelette is filled with cheese, turkey bacon, bell peppers, and topped with avocado and sour cream. The flavors all blend well together! I have had both the potato chunks and the hashbrowns with onions as my side dish. Both are equally good. We have also tried the Ultimate Omelette which is stuffed with every veggie and meat option available. So delish! Stopped in while visiting the area. Good, local business. Friendly staff and quick kitchen. They offer bottomless pancakes and a bacon flight. My favorite was the maple peppercorn bacon. Also had the eqq white omelet. A little over cooked (honestly, overcooked omelets seems to be a common thing at most breakfast places). Food is large portions but my ice coffee was almost 5 dollars. Spilt my coffee on myself and on my food. This is the new breakfast stop for you, your family, and your friends! While this is a brand new location, just open 4 days at the time of our visit, believe us, there's nothing "scrambled" about this operation! We went in with high expectations after seeing some local reviews and knowing that this particular address has had a number of businesses in this setting before, but we are certain this place is here to stay! We were greeted by smiling employees waiting to seat us and ensure that our experience got off to a terrific start! Unlike most places, we weren't rushed through the menu and were given plenty of time to peruse the plethora of offerings available to us! We barely had time to have a conversation before we had piping hot food in front of us! The portions were plentiful too! We had skillets the size of our head, and a three pancake platter the size of a football! Needless to say, even though we wanted to, we simply couldn't finish everything we'd ordered! The quality of this place exceeds anything else in the area. We had freshly prepared, evenly cooked pancakes with bananas added right INTO the cake! There were biscuits that were pillowy buried under a hearty helping of sausage gravy that was clearly made with care! Even the hot chocolate, which albeit was from a packet, was of much higher quality than the typical "Swiss Miss Water" you get in other restaurants! We are definitely coming back to this place and hope that it's a line to get in as it should be! The best news is that you've got a friendly staff waiting for you at the end of the line who is eager to give you a clean spot to eat in, and will make sure that things are cleared as soon as you're done with your meal! read more
