When I check my bread with my main course of an omelet which was actually amazing I find my banana bread molded.

The food was amazing until I saw mold on my banana nut bread . It disgusted me and makes me want to stop ordering here .

Food was great, I wasn't a fan of the pancakes or French toast but everything else was good. Service was quick and accurate. Our waitress was awesome.

    This was GOOD!

New Menu Items!! Protein bowls are now on the menu!! I thoroughly enjoyed the Avocado Veggie Bowl-- green and red peppers, onion, corn, black beans, sweet potatoes, cheese, tomato, topped with egg of your choice. This was delicious!!

Bob Evans is one of my favorite breakfast place! I love the fact that they have a good bit of breakfast selection. I always go for Farmer's Choice where you get a choice of meat, two eggs, hash brown and buttermilk pancakes which you can upgrade if you want. Service is always good. Servers are nice and always make sure we got our orders right, always check on us to refill our coffee and bring us whatever we need in our table. We'll keep on coming back!

Dining area & restrooms are bright, clean and inviting. My brother ordered fried fish with a chicken wing,, cabbage and sweet potatoes. He loved the fish & chicken- well seasoned without feeling your blood pressure rise as you indulged- LOL. The sides were good. I did the smothered porkchops - WOW, best that I have had - really enjoyed the main entrée and my sides (greens, black-eye peas). Both meals came with cornbread (another option was a biscuit). I have to say the food, the Staff and the establishment has been my best taste of southern cooking in the DMV area. I ordered chicken wings (6) to go for wife & I to enjoy later. Definitely worth a visit, we will be back - The smothered chops are calling me already. Lunch for two with a take home order of wings & 2 deserts plus tip was around $100.

The fish (catfish and croaker) always tastes like it's been fried in grease that needs changing. There's no flavor profile in the food which is weird for a soul-food restaurant. The mixed veggies were absolutely disgusting-- gave them back. I paid $65 for fried catfish with two sides, fried croaker with two sides, a cookie and two drinks---and sadly, the only thing that was sort of worth it was the cornbread, but it tastes like it has coconut in it. I hate coconut. The item that was the most flavorful for me was the black eyed peas/hoppin John (minus the big pieces of fatty meat in them).

We walked in and felt welcomed immediately. The restaurant is unassuming from the exterior but when you walk in, you're in for a treat. We got two glasses of wine. Food: My husband got a Caesar salad and I got a house salad for starters. They were both good. I ordered the bacon and crab pasta, which was hearty. My husband got the salmon, which he also enjoyed. It's definitely a cute date spot or place to eat with the family. There's something for everyone.

Admittedly, the first time I visited Allison's, I didn't have high hopes - I originally wanted to go next door to Mamma (Nonna) Angela's for my Italian craving, but the group I was with was adamant about coming here instead. Well, I'm glad they did, because everything I had here was five stars and then some! From the bread, pasta, steak to the seafood, everything that graced my pretty little lips here was delicious (and served in huge portions)! I've now been to Allison's three times, and every time I come back, the offerings seem to get even better. I also appreciate how cheap the drinks here are - under $10 for a glass of wine outside of happy hour? Sign me up please! But seriously though, if you're looking for a solid spot to grab some yummy Italian (and American) fare while on your way to Waugh Chapel to go shopping, I definitely recommend Allison's Restaurant.

We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday for a late lunch. We were seated immediately and had a very friendly and attentive server, Farah. I ordered the watermelon margarita which came with a cute note attached. We dug into the old bay wings before I remembered to take a picture. They were good and flavorful. I ordered the salmon BLTA. It was okay - not a lot of flavor, but the proportion of bread to salmon definitely didn't match up. I ended up leaving a good portion of bread on my plate. My husband had the fish and chips. Talk about a huge portion- his fish was huge! He said it was good though. My only serious complaint was that the first stall I went to in the ladies room had a broken lock on the door. That's concerning. Fortunately there was a second stall. Hopefully they get that door lock fixed soon though!

The steak was tender, the eggs were cooked just right, and the chimichurri brought a fresh, herby brightness that balanced the richness of the dish. The feta added a nice salty finish that pulled everything together. If I had one small note, the potatoes could have been cooked a little more for a crisper texture, but it didn't take away from the flavor of the dish at all. The overall taste was still very strong, and the components worked really well together. The pancake was another highlight. Huge, fluffy, and beautifully browned, with chocolate chips throughout and just enough sweetness to make it feel indulgent without going overboard. Simple, classic, and very well done. Service made the experience even better. Bria was personable, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the meal. She kept everything moving smoothly and added to the welcoming feel of the visit. So we drove a good 30mins to get here, with anticipation from seeing this restaurant on a travel channel, but the original location is in NY. We get there, and its plenty of free parking. We ask for seating for 3 and we are told they are only seating individuals who booked a reservation. Totally understandable considering its Valentine's day. I dropped the ball folks. I didn't make a reservation. So I noticed a bar lounge which we were told we could wait for a seat to open up. As we were waiting a coupled jumped in front us and took a seat. The manager Claudia came to the rescue like the dark knight but with more grace. She mentioned she was willing to put us on the list for a table in the main dining area. I accepted her kind gesture and continued to wait for bar lounge seating to open up. A couple was kind enough to come over to us and ask if we were waiting for bar lounge seating. They offered their table to us as they were ending their night. There was a 2 man band playing in the lounge area that was very soothing to the ear. As I tried to help my mother get comfortable at the hightop table, I noticed she was having a difficult time getting seated in such a high chair. Guess who came to the rescue, you guessed, Claudia! She's the best, 100 grand, made me a real fan. So she came over and said our table was ready if we wanted a booth seating and we all know that's the best seats in the house. All I could think is look at God. The wait wasn't even long either. 10 out of 10 for saving the day. In addition our waitress was such a sweetheart. I mentioned a white malbec I saw on the menu that I was astonish to see b/c I never knew of such a thing. She bought me a small glass to taste and my God, I am a true believer Jesus turned water into wine. Its so clear like water but the taste is amazing. The food is so delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very personalable. Everyone cartered to us. You would have thought we were the Obamas or something. As we were stuffing our faces, Claudia comes around handing out roses to the men/boys to give to their dates. Complimenting my son and his daper outfit she hands him a rose and tells him to give it your mommy. At the moment he lights up with a big smile as if he paid for the rose himself. I can tell he felt like a gentleman and good that he could give his mother a red rose on Valentine's day. That small gesture was very thoughtful and appreciated. I apologize for my essay, but they desired it. I love the service, the ambiance, the food, and service. I haven't seen my mother smile so much in a while. So it bought me great joy to give my mother this experience on Valentine's day. I thank Nonna Angela's staff for such a wonderful experience.
