    Brunch menu

This was my second time visiting Boathouse Rooftop under the new management, but my first time dining there. I came for a friend's birthday brunch with a party of 12. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and we waited for the birthday girl to arrive before being seated. Unfortunately, once we sat down, the experience started to go downhill. Service was noticeably slow, and although Melanie was our designated server, it seemed like multiple staff members were checking on our table, bringing drinks, and delivering food, which made the overall experience feel disorganized. The menu was also a bit disappointing. For a restaurant that advertises Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, the brunch options felt pretty basic. I ordered the waffles, which came as a single waffle with no protein included. I had to pay extra for eggs and bacon, which isn't something I've typically experienced at brunch spots. Throughout the meal, Melanie seemed overwhelmed and, at times, unsure about menu items and timing. Drinks took a long time to arrive, and so did our food, with little communication about the delays. When I asked for additional syrup (which the menu actually lists as agave), I was repeatedly told the kitchen didn't have any syrup. A simple clarification that the menu serves agave instead would have avoided the unnecessary back-and-forth and provided a much better customer experience. What stood out the most was that whenever there was an issue--whether it was delayed drinks, food, or questions from guests--Melanie consistently blamed the kitchen or back-of-house staff. While I understand that problems happen, customers view the restaurant as one team. Taking ownership and communicating professionally goes much further than repeatedly shifting blame to the kitchen. The food itself was just okay. The steak and eggs came with a very fatty cut of steak, making much of it difficult to enjoy. Portions also felt small depending on the dish. My waffles were good, but having to pay extra for eggs and bacon made the meal feel incomplete for the price. The cocktails were definitely one of the highlights, but even those took quite a while to arrive. To make matters worse, one drink was accidentally charged twice, creating even more confusion when the check came. Instead of simply apologizing for the mistake, Melanie again explained that the issues weren't her fault and were because of the kitchen, which unfortunately left a poor final impression. Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this brunch because the rooftop atmosphere is beautiful and the space has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, between the slow and disorganized service, lack of accountability, billing mistakes, and underwhelming food, the experience didn't meet expectations. I think Boathouse Rooftop would benefit from better staff training, stronger communication, and a greater emphasis on customer service and accountability. At this time I wouldn't consider giving it another chance, but there is definitely room for improvement.

The good: the decor in this place is giving Mediterranean vibes all the way. It's a quaint rooftop with nice seating all around. The rooftop is nice and breezy but there is also nicer seating on the bottom floor. The food was a hit or miss. My short rib was extremely fatty but everything else I had was pretty good. My mocktail was amazing!!! The needs to improve: Bathroom was disgusting!!! Someone needs to go I. And make sure there is enough toilet paper and it's quite compact in there as well. The location is a bit ackward, it's in a building with multiples lawyers and medical offices and oddly situated in the middle of the block. The view is just ok depending on where you sit you can either have a view of the manhattan skyline or inside people apartments

Went to The Boathouse Rooftop with my cousins for a quick lunch on Saturday. The rooftop is really cute and nicely decorated definitely a great spot for pictures and drinks. The food was just okay. We got the Greek salad, potato croquettes, and my cousin got the truffle ricotta waffles. The potato croquettes were honestly the best thing we had, and the drinks were good. The hummus poblano was disappointing, the chicken was bland and the hummus didn't have much flavor. I'd come back for drinks and the atmosphere, but the food wasn't anything special and I don't think it's worth the price.

Hookah + Midnight in Mykonos Spritz

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. The happy hour drinks were great, the ambiance is beautiful, and the bartenders were very friendly. The biggest disappointment was the hookah. It was very expensive, and afterward it made me extremely sick. My stomach was upset, and I had such a severe headache that I couldn't sleep and had to take pain medication, at one point my headache got so severe I was contemplating going to the hospital. I've had hookah at many places and have never experienced that before.

Starting off the restaurant itself is beautiful. We were seated soon as we arrived. The food and the drinks are good; really I liked the mocktails better than the cocktails. The service however could use some improvement. Our appetizers took forever to come out and, one of our appetizers was spinach dip which they present to you with three pieces of bread mind you there were four of us at our table, we asked for additional bread which never came. There should also be sharing plates if you order appetizers and they were none we had to ask. By the time they bought out the sharing plates our entrées were out. when we ordered dessert it was presented to us with no utensils. It's just the little details that make a difference. I think they need to work on the attentiveness of their customers a bit more.additionally the bathroom was gross, floor was wet and sticky not enough toilet paper; for a busy Saturday night there really needs to be someone there making sure the restrooms are clean.

My partner and I had such an amazing date night here! It was a rainy day so unfortunately the view wasn't the best but the vibe completely made up for it! It was so intimate and the interior is gorgeous. There's plenty of seating but we ended up sitting across from the beautifully lit bar. We found a deal on pulsd for $69 and it offered two drinks, one appetizer, two main courses and a dessert. It was a great value and even better after we had a taste of the food. We ordered both a cocktail and mocktail and they were tasty. Cocktail was strong and sweet like I like it. The scallops were so soft and paired very well with the potato patty underneath, not to mention, they were HUGE. For entrees we got the short rib and a steak kebab. The steak kebab was so tender and juicy and we really enjoyed the spicy hummus, definitely a game changer. My short rib was also tender and fall apart which is exactly what I want in a rib. My only complaint would be the dessert which unfortunately was a bit overcooked so it wasn't much of a lava cake. Overall the service was great and vibes were even better. Even without the coupon, the prices are reasonable for the experience.

My friends and i all had steak and eggs for brunch. The red sangria was def really good. Not to sweet yet fruit forward. Our server jelena was attentive and sweet. She made sure our party had a great time. We also had the tiramisu and we were blown away. That tiramisu was light and fluff and just divine. Will come back again The place is also very beautiful but the seats were low but nothing bad. Its probably amazing if you are having a hookah.

    Fig salad, mussels & shrimp

This is a cute spot. My guests and I all ate the same thing so I can't say much about other items. We really enjoyed the burrata & fig salad. The flavors were fun, fresh and layered. The mussels and shrimp was okay, we had multiple orders of bread (it was good!) For entree, we all had the braised short ribs. It was tasty! I really enjoyed it and it didn't make you feel sloppily full, so I appreciated that. They did forget to put my order in somehow so my guests ate without me, didn't ruin the night but it was noted. Service was good otherwise, waiter explained items on menu and was patient. We ended with dessert, the lava cake with ice cream which was a good way to finish. They had a dancer there and she was engaging with guests and fire so that's a nice touch as we finished our cocktails and waited for the bill. The rooftop was closed when we went so didn't get to see that. Street parking.

This was a top tier brunch in a romantic upscale Mediterranean rooftop in Astoria with chic decor and stunning ambiance. It's like being transported to a Greek oasis. The service here is very refined. They provided warm hand towels to sanitize our hands before the meal. The cocktails here are colorful, well-balanced and strong. The Love in Mykonos drink was artfully presented and was as refreshing as it gets. The potato croquettes were scrumptious with adobo chicken chorizo artfully plated on an avocado mash sprinkled with garlic harissa aioli. The frittata con carne was a standout entree with delicious merguez sausage. The hummus poblano was another unique entree with chile poblano hummus mixed with chicken chorizo on a warm soft pita. The ingredients were super fresh. I definitely plan on returning.

I was skeptical walking into this place, but almost immediately that went away. The manager Harley absolutely attentive. The drinks made by Ricky the bar tender were on point. The music at a perfect level didn't have to scream across the table. Now the food is what took the cake. The lamb sliders absolutely delicious, the tender meat and the mixture of seasoning absolutely delicious. For the main course my wife had a truffle ricotta waffles that absolutely blew me away. The cleverness of mixing truffle with a sweet dish was very hit or miss..... but this definitely hit. Good job chef

Delicious food, belly dancer comes on Friday night and a romantic ambiance. Service was fast and good. Overall good experience and tasty halal food. My only recommendation is to improve on the drinks as the whole group disliked them - tasted like medicine.

Came with some friends for lunch. We all got various combinations of the mixed plate and an order of fried calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded in a flaky batter that brought out the flavors of the squid. Cooked to perfection it was tender, not chewy. As for the mixed platters, we had lamb gyro and the souvlakis as well as the lemon potatoes and fries. The lemon potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a nice tartness to each bite. The lamb gyro was tender. The chicken souvlaki being moist and flavorful is the barometer for the level of detail that goes into every plate served.

Went inside, and it felt like I was transported elsewhere and not in NYC. I liked how the entire place was decorated. There's room to move around and private sections that are closed off with curtains. Food wise, there were two menus, one that was a tablet which had more options and this other large black book. I suggest looking at the tablet. It took a while to decide what we wanted as there were so many sections. I chose the two soups, which were the dumpling langman soup and the shurpa soup. One tasted like chicken soup but with lamb instead. However, both were pretty small. For the table, we got the Manti soup dumplings, which had minced beef inside with soup inside too and beware it is hot. Also, we got the shepherds salad, but they don't have feta cheese, so we got it without that one ingredient. I would suggest this restaurant if you're interested in trying something unique such as Uzbek food.
