It's OK. Seems a bit run down, even the outside is worn. Drinks are good, the view is great, food just ok. If you're in the area and the weather is sunny, it's a nice spot to sit outside and watch the boats. It's been a few years since we had been here and I thought their prices were high for the quality of food. Staff is very friendly! Nice close parking lot.

I give it a 3.5 stars. It's a solid brunch spot, nothing mind blowing. The batter in my chicken fried steak and eggs was cooked well, I enjoyed the seasoning and batter for it. It wasn't too thick. I wish my chicken fried steak was on the side and not topped on the mashed potatoes though because it did make the bottom part soften as I continued eating. The mashed potatoes with it was a first for me and I did enjoy it. The scone served with it was amazing thought, it wasn't dry. The potato's in the steak and eggs were flavorful and the steak was cooked well. The only thing I didn't enjoy was my Bloody Mary, I took 2 sips of it and went to waste, sadly. But overall I'd come here if I want to enjoy a view. But would it be something I'm craving? Not necessarily. But if it was a suggestion through a friend for brunch, I wouldn't oppose to it.

Gorgeous view, somehow the staff are always the nicest upbeat people so very welcoming. If you sign up for texts you can get sent deals. Good for a hearty meal. Try the meat loaf!

    - Food is good. - Ambiance is amazing. - Service is decent, but pay when you order cause paying can be longer than getting your food (ETTP: 20-25min).

Tldr: here for the views and Thai wings Setvice: our server was extremely accommodating. We had shared with her that were sharing he fish and chips, and later I found out she halved our order into separate plates and gave us each our own tartar sauce so we don't fight over it Environment : huge space lost of seating indoor and outdoor. We sat by the windows to watch the blue angels fly over lake Washington. Food: we got fish and chips, Thai wings, and a frozen strawberry margarita. The strawberry margarita was NOT frozen lol, I probably just got all the liquid part of it. The fish and chips were good, but the cabbage coleslaw tasted like the cabbage was not washed properly, and tasted like dirt...if u know what I mean. The Thai wings tho were pretty good, surprisingly. Would order that again if I had to come back.

Shoot, I wish I had taken photos. We were invited here for lunch and to be honest, we were a little concerned based on the reviews,. I have to say, however, the food we had was absolutely delicious. High marks for the fish and chips and we have had our fair share of fish and chips, even in the UK! The crust was perfectly crispy, the fish, tender and flavorful. All the food was seasoned nicely. Now, I will say, there is so much potential for this restaurant to take things to the next level with some renovations. The view of the water can't be beat. The service was decent and always responsive when we asked for coffee and water refills. I say give Bluwater bistro a chance, and management, take advantage of the great potential!

I came here for Christmas Eve dinner service and it was really a lovely experience. The goods: nice vibe, cute restaurant, kind staff and bartenders, and a nice location. The food was uneventful which honestly is appreciated with seafood for me. The restaurant had hired carolers which was a nice addition. They were slammed with reservations and ended up running around 30-45 minutes late. We were sent to the bar, and they were able to serve us pretty quickly given the rush. The bar could have used more staff. Another low was the gross blue lighting which made it so you couldn't see the lake and you felt like you were under fluorescents. I had a great time, though!

We went for my daughter's birthday brunch today and everyone that ordered French toast had ants and they didn't even give us a break on the bill $314 dollars never going back their again

We were a large group attending on Christmas Day. The service was very good and the Ambiance was beautiful and cozy with a working fireplace. They had a nice selection from which to choose. I ordered the Gorgonzola and Pear Ravioli paired with the Wild Seasonal Salad which I enjoyed. Others in our party sitting close where I could see ordered the Christmas Turkey Dinner, and New York Steak. They both were pleased.

My husband and I decided to give BluWater another chance. Service was terrible and the food was horribly overpriced. $44 for a tiny piece of halibut on a huge bed of pasta - seriously??? We should have saved our money and gone next door to Pablo Y Pablo.

My friend and I came here for brunch while in the area, and we had a great time over yummy food. I don't brunch often, but HI Spot Cafe made me question why I don't brunch often. The food was delicious in a craftsman home, with a lively setting and friendly staff. We came here on a late morning on Sunday, which was of course, peak hour for brunch. For the two of us, we waited for half an hour. But not to fret, at the entrance is a full coffee bar where you can order a drink and sip on caffeine while you wait. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was fantastic. I'm always on the gravy train, but this gravy had a kick to it with the spices, which I really liked. It was way better than your average, country gravy. The biscuits were soft and buttery and the poached eggs made a sauce after breaking the yolk. Perfection! Unlimited drip coffee for the win. Overall, if you're looking for a brunch option in Madrona, Hi Spot Cafe is a dependable and solid option for just that.

I'm aware that Hi Spot is located in Seattle, so everything is a bit more expensive, but most of the entrees didn't seem like it came with $20 worth of food (almost every entree was $18.50 - $21). However, the restaurant is retrofitted inside an old house, and I absolutely love house-restaurants! It's a very cool vibe inside, and there's even a covered outdoor patio during warmer weather! TL;DR: awesome venue with delicious food, but slower service and steep prices.

We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. The only minor thing was that one of the items, I think it was the hush puppies or cornbread, came out a little lukewarm. They mentioned it can be hard to keep that particular item hot, and flavor wise it was YUM so it was not a dealbreaker. Everything else comes out fresh as it's cooked so just know timing can vary by dish. It did get crowded toward the end and they politely let us know people were waiting outside. They handled it with so much grace it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back. Already curious about what will be on the menu next time.

We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

CAGETTE WINE BAR: WHERE CABERNET MEETS CABLE CROSSES…read more Listen, while other wine bars in Madison Valley are busy being pretentious about their French pronouns, Cagette has transformed itself into the Gold's Gym of grape juice. Their sommelier doesn't just wear a tastevin around his neck - he wears it WITH A WEIGHTLIFTING BELT. The wall of vintage Gold's Gym Venice Beach photos mixed with First Growth Bordeaux bottles is nothing short of INSPIRATIONAL. Arnold's famous posed double bicep shot is perfectly positioned between the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Barolo section, creating what they call the "Pump & Pour" corner. Their wine flights are served on custom metal trays shaped like weight plates. The "Franco Columbu Collection" of Italian reds arrives on a mini bench press rack, and you have to complete three reps before they'll pour your Brunello. The dedication to the aesthetic is STAGGERING. You haven't lived until you've experienced their "Muscle Beach Merlot Mondays" where the sommelier spots you through a vertical tasting while shouting encouragement like "LIGHTWEIGHT BABY" and "AIN'T NOTHING BUT A PEANUT" between sips. Their wine descriptions include both tasting notes AND the optimal rep range for maximum gains. The "Lou Ferrigno Lounge" area features leather seats made from recycled weightlifting belts, and every wine glass has grip knurling. Their coasters are miniature versions of the original Gold's Gym logo, and they refuse to serve anything less than full-bodied wines because "light wines are for WIMPS." Their "Pumping Iron" wine club (which meets in what they call The Dungeon, a clear homage to the original Gold's basement) requires members to deadlift their wine allocation before taking it home. The sight of someone clean-and-jerking a case of Grand Cru Burgundy is both terrifying and beautiful. Five stars for creating a space where wine snobs and gym bros can finally coexist in perfect harmony. I've witnessed heated debates about both proper squat form AND proper wine storage temperature, often in the same conversation. P.S. Their "No Pain No Pour" policy seems strict, but you haven't lived until you've seen someone do burpees for a better pour of Barolo. P.P.S. The bathroom mirrors are positioned at optimal flexing angles, and the hand soap dispensers are shaped like dumbbells. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Note: This review was written while watching their sommelier demonstrate proper clean-and-jerk form using a methuselah of champagne as a training weight. Special Addendum: To the customer who complained about the mandatory flex pose before entering the reserve wine room - this is about CULTURE, Karen. Final Thought: Never has there been a more perfect fusion of fine wine and fitness culture. It's like if Joe Weider opened a wine bar and Franco Columbu was the beverage director. Remember: Every wine glass comes with its own "PR" (Personal Record) tracking card, and yes, they do measure your wine lifting form. No kipping allowed on the Bordeaux pulls. Warning: Side effects may include excessive use of phrases like "crushing it," "lightweight baby," and "yeah buddy" while discussing vintage vertical tastings. P.P.P.S. Their new "Swole Somm Certification" program requires both blind tasting skills AND a minimum bench press requirement. As it should.
