My Cousin ordered the Fish and Chips and Blackberry Cobbler which she didn't eat because it was easy too Sour for her liking. She said it was fried a little too hard 6/10. I took my stepmom out this past Sunday for a belated birthday brunch and we could not have asked for a better setup. We did not have reservations but the hostess seated us at what I would consider the best table in the entire restaurant, right by the window with an open view out toward Washington. The day was beautiful so it really could not have worked out better. Our waitress was fantastic from start to finish. She was attentive, made sure waters stayed full, checked on us often and just made the whole experience feel easy. She pointed me toward the fish and chips and I am so glad she did because they were delicious. My fries were actually hot, which feels rare these days, and the fish was fresh. Both things matter more than people realize. I also had a wedge salad with mixed greens and what I believe were pears mixed in, and it was really, really good. My stepmom got a hamburger and fries and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. To finish things off I had a nonalcoholic mojito mocktail and it hit the spot. It is nice seeing more places offer solid mocktail options these days. Overall the food was great, the service was even better, and the view did not hurt either. I did a delivery order through ChowNow for BluWater (Leschi). The order was placed around 2:10 pm and delivered around 3:43 pm. That wasn't bad from a timing perspective. I chosed a couple small plate entrees this time around. The Thai Curry Mussels in red Thai curry sauce with coconut milk, and cilantro and added garlic bread, and the Grilled Wild King Salmon with ancho honey lemon glaze, wilted spinach, lemon butter, and red potatoes. I loved the dishes, in particular, the salmon was grilled to perfection, moist and delicious! I actually didn't need to add the honey lemon glaze that came in a container on the side. I wish my chicken fried steak was on the side and not topped on the mashed potatoes though because it did make the bottom part soften as I continued eating. The mashed potatoes with it was a first for me and I did enjoy it. The scone served with it was amazing thought, it wasn't dry. The potato's in the steak and eggs were flavorful and the steak was cooked well. The only thing I didn't enjoy was my Bloody Mary, I took 2 sips of it and went to waste, sadly. But overall I'd come here if I want to enjoy a view. But would it be something I'm craving? Not necessarily. The only thing I can recommend BluWater Bistro for is brunch, which is pretty hard to mess up. Plus, I love the banana bread they bring to the table. Dinner tonight was a totally miss for me. I ordered the Roasted Halibut and the dish was completely overshadowed by the red pepper flakes. There was no flavor and it was too spicy, and over-salted, and I like spicy food! I wish I'd sent the dish back. For $47 it was a huge disappointment. I would not waste my money on it. We also ordered the Leschi Crunch for dessert and we were completely underwhelmed. The dessert overall was bland and the chocolate covered pretzels were stale. Don't waste your money on this item either. The highlights of the evening were the service and ambience. Our waitress was fabulous - friendly, bubbly, and attentive; and the restaurant has a beautiful view of the water. Bottom line: come for brunch. I came here for Christmas Eve dinner service and it was really a lovely experience. The goods: nice vibe, cute restaurant, kind staff and bartenders, and a nice location. The food was uneventful which honestly is appreciated with seafood for me. The restaurant had hired carolers which was a nice addition. They were slammed with reservations and ended up running around 30-45 minutes late. We were sent to the bar, and they were able to serve us pretty quickly given the rush. The bar could have used more staff. Another low was the gross blue lighting which made it so you couldn't see the lake and you felt like you were under fluorescents. Took my friends and daughter are there for Easter brunch. My daughter is allergic to dairy and told the waitress. She also told the waitress she doesn't eat meat so you're the ham and eggs, and I told them no ham just eggs and potatoes no cheese no dairy the waitress said, they put milk in the eggs, so I'll make sure they don't do that well, I'll come ham, no eggs So everyone else's starved, and we decide to eat without her. And they bring out her eggs and potatoes, and she can see the potatoes obviously have cheese on them. She asked the waitress, are you sure these eggs don't have milk, also, are you sure there's no cheese? Waitresses oh no they didn't put cheese and I can tell those eggs have no milk. Well, we could obviously see the cheese on the potatoes so she didn't eat those. I ate a few of them. So she eats her eggs, very slowly, and of course there's pieces of ham floating around. Anyhow, after about two hours, she got sick as a dog because they probably put milk in the eggs. Wen spent $200 for brunch for four people, why can't they get it right? Came on a sunny Saturday for brunch with a party of 5, surprisingly the restaurant had no wait and was not busy but we were seated inside and the patio looked more packed. Blended mango margaritas to start and they did not disappoint, our waitress was pleasant and attentive. One thing we decided to change ourselves was the amount of room given at our table, they pushed two small square tables together to seat 5 people which became tight very quickly, so once the party of four next to us left we pushed their table to ours for an L shaped situation that gave us more room. Initially there was nothing brought out to us aside from water and our drinks so we ordered a plate of fries for the table which were both crispy, also noticed the party of 4 next to us requested additional fries that were not "flimsy". The waitress then brought us slices of banana bread for the table and allowed us more time to decide our orders. I got the Bistro Eggs and it was pretty mid - I remember coming last summer and the potatoes were seasoned well and had Parmesan but not today. The bacon varied from plate to plate, but again we didn't send anything back.
