I stopped in yesterday to escape the rain and for a quick regular manicure and pedicure. I was a little nervous because as I sat in the pedicure chair I pulled up the reviews and they were not great. Everything seemed clean, I went in around 9:30am on a Thursday in the middle of August. The man who did my pedicure also did my manicure. He was very quick and polished nicely. There was hardly any massaging at all, which was disappointing as that's my favorite part, especially for pedicures. In the end it worked out and I was happy with my nails. The polish I chose for my toes was #444 and for my nails it was called Tea Time. Both were nice colors! In the end, good place if you're in a bind and not looking for pampering. It's also kind of pricey. I live in New York, so for me, $50 seemed expensive for a regular manicure and pedicure with no special polish and no massaging at all. read more

I came in last Thursday for a manicure (no polish, just a cleanup) and a pedicure with gel/acrylic powder on my two big toes. Although the guy doing my nails were nice during the manicure, the technician nipped the skin on my right hand, and it bled for several minutes after I left. A kind staff member offered me a bottle of alcohol to take home, but I declined and left with a paper towel and alcohol instead. My pedicure was also disappointing. I always request a square shape on my big toes, but they came out uneven, with two different shapes. The gel/acrylic lost its shine within a few days and looked like it had been done weeks ago. I returned today (Tuesday) to fix a chipped toe, while taking off the acrylic power with an acrylic fake nail she broke my toe nail in half , she apologized . i still got charged $5, but now the big toes are different lengths and still uneven. For reference, I paid $80 (including a $5 tip) on Thursday for a basic manicure with no polish or shine coat where they didn't even clean under the nails and another $5 today for the fix, totaling $85. I've been going here for 2 years , so I guess now's the time for a change of salon read more

I've been coming to this Salon for the past 3 years and I've never had a complaint. My nail techs are usually Lee and Kimmy, they both do an amazing job each time. I've a very picky and particular person when it comes to my nails. I don't like having any residue on my skin or crooked nails and they make sure I always leave with the best. I've been doing dip on my hands for 6 years now and it's the only thing that doesn't allow my nails to chip or break. If you're ever getting your nails done, whether it be gel or dip, make sure to not touch your face or hair after they've cleaned your nail off. The oils will remain on your nail and causes the gel or dip to easy peel off or start to chip. It's something I learned from Lee! I love coming here, definitely recommend. read more

Terrible experience. Anna did my nails and was very rude and unprofessional. I simply let her know that the design and color that she was doing wasn't reflective of what I was asking for. She began to yell at me and say it was my fault and that it's too late for her to do anything about it. I asked her to not be rude to me and she continued. I then said that we can stop and they can cut my nails off because I do not want to pay for this unprofessional and rude service that was not going well and she threatened to call the police. And let me not forget to mention that she cut me while filing my nails and didn't clean the cut. She just covered it up with glue. I can here for an acrylic overlay and the "certified" tech put an extremely small apex on my nails and all of my nails broke off one by one. I have been getting my nails done since I was 14 and I've never experienced this. It took me 1 year and 3 months to grow out my nails and they all broke off 2 days after coming here. I called and was dismissed and left disappointed. No refund approved. This CHOP SHOP needs to be shut down. They don't clean their tools after each customer, they don't properly clean the cuticles. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! this is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review on any business. I wish I would've looked Blush nails up before trying them... I was looking for a place closer to home as I am on maternity leave, and my usual place is close to my job and pretty far from home. The place was dirty! If you are used to having lotion or hot towels, this is definitely not that type of place. I had a man do my nails before starting i explained that I wanted a manicure with dip and a regular pedicure he started with my hands he had me put them in a bowl of acetone thus was super odd because everyone tgat has ever done my nails wraps them while getting the pedicure.. he removed my old dip and immediately started dipping my nails I reminded him nicely that i really needed a manicure he said "yes you get manicure" I asked him why is he painting my nails before pushing back and cutting the cuticles he got a little anoyed and said it was to prevent chipping "if you dont like to go back to your old place" I was in shock! I thought maybe its a language barrier maybe he misunderstood so I told him how convenient it was that they are closer to my house and that i dont have time to drive far and leave my baby and his response was "well you have no sitter but you here" i have never been treated soooooo nasty before i was about to tell him to stop and literally walk out but i was afraid i would get in trouble or who knows and this was my only time i had with a sitter at home. The Next day my nails chiped I went in with an open mind thinking maybe i can have someone else fix my nails and that maybe it was just this man that was super mean. I walked in and nicely told the front desk girl that my nails had chipped and that this had never happened to me with dip that. Maybe it was something with the product. She told me she could fix it and then tried to convince me to do acrylic.. mind you I have nice long natural nails ‍ I tell her no I just want to stick to dip she proceeds to tell me I would be charged again because at this point it was 4 nails so it would have to all be done. I asked for Sam, the owner, and he was not in i asked why am I going to be charged this if its something that was not my fault her words were that they do not guarantee nails I told her then I don't want to risk getting a bad job and walked out. Welp. Pretty much had a nightmare experience. I should've known when I was paired with a male tech whose hands felt like sandpaper. Everything went wrong from the start. He didn't soak my hands at all; there were no lotions, no hand massage, and very little oil. So, he basically cut my cuticles raw... which would explain the massive bleeding that ensued. He tried to fix it, but ended up painting one nail in some mess of dried blood and paint (so gross!) It took a second person (a manager type), who stepped in and SUPER GLUED my skin together to get it to stop bleeding. (Is this legal?!!!) I had an event to go to, otherwise I would have raised hell. PLEASE READ - REVIEW FROM 3 YEAR CUSTOMER I've never been treated so poorly by any professional in my life. Let alone a business. I gave these people 3 years of my business. So I know them pretty well. As far as the work they do- it's not up to par. Everytime I did dip the colors were always a shade or two lighter/darker. The customer service is non-existent and actually abusive behavior. The reason I went for so long & people like them, is because they work fast. But let me explain why it's worth the extra 10-15min for good Service. I've been a MONTHLY loyal customer for the past 3 years and I always over tip. I got my nails done (Dip) 7 days ago and the breakage began. NEVER HAVE MY NAILS DONE THIS BEFORE!!!! 2 broken on the nail bed + 1 cracked diagonally. I do not heavy lift, I use gloves to wash dishes to maintain my natural length. The only thing I can think of is the nail technician may have over-filed and thinned them out. So I called with 2 hour notice to make an appointment. Even with an APPOINTMENT they asked me to wait 20 min (which I always end up waiting 15-20 min anyway) Not to mention- if you're 3 minutes late, you will be turned away! So of course, they asked me to wait, So I did. I didn't request a certain person. So As I'm waiting, To my disbelief they took a Walk-in!! In front of me. I was there on time, if not, early !!! The owner Leena who sits in the front, Let me know, very firmly that yes I would have to wait and will pay full price. I was well aware and answered that was fine. But I did inquire why I wasn't taken before that Walk-in. She told me they were busy, then they proceeded to tell me to leave and go somewhere else. "Up the street they have nail salon" were the words. At that point I've been waiting 20 minutes. Witb 3 painful broken REAL nails hanging off, I asked to let me wait for my appointment. I pleaded with them because it was the end of the day & knew it would be difficult going elsewhere. They said they weren't going to service me. Why? I'm not even sure. They literally asked me to leave. I was Genuinely confused how I just lost my appointment for inquiring about the walk-in. And my biggest regret is not taking a photo of my nail breakage . Although here is an identical picture of the way my nails broke. 3 of them like that. Keep in mind my natural nail is 1.5 inches long. So the damage was very painful. That's who they refused to service. A loyal Customer with an appointment to fix her nails (done by them 7 days earlier). And expected to be seen before a walk-in. I have never been as disrespected as I was today when I walked in for my appointment. I had a 5 o'clock appointment, walked in a 4:56pm to see Dawn who was with someone else. The person at the front desk told me Dawn would be ready in 15 mins. I was obviously annoyed because my appointment was at 5 and didn't want to wait 15 mins to get my nails done. After some back and forth between how they could have called me letting me know that Dawn was running behind, they told me they wouldn't do my nails anymore. I come back every 3 weeks on the dot to get my nails done here but I will NEVER be returning. I found this place through a friend on Instagram and I decided to try it out before my trip. Lee was amazing! From the moment I walked in he greeted me very kindly, was very gentle with how he handled my nails and constantly asked if he was hurting me. He took his time and I love how smooth my manicure is! He was also a great conversationalist. The gentleman who did my design, although I didn't get his name, was also very kind, talented, and quick. He made this beautiful design in under 10 minutes. I know this is long but definitely worth reading. I never do these unless it's something that consumers should know. I had a horrible experience here, not once but TWICE (I always try a new nail spot at least two times, maybe it was the tech.....) where I was previously going was pretty expensive compared to this location so I decided let me give it a try, save some money. 1st experience - I paid to have my nails done with dip (which has always lasted me AT LEAST 2 weeks) my nails looked good..... for two days before they started chipping, and by the end of the FIRST week one of my natural nails broke. So after one week I had to go back, I requested a different nail tech (again maybe the nail tech wasn't the best) 2nd experience - again got my nails done with dip, next day FOUR of my nails were chipped. I have never ever ever had to return to a nail shop, let alone the next day FOR DIP. They fixed my nails free of charge, and yes friends you guessed it.... two days later and the same nails they just "repaired" chipped off by me just typing on a computer, this time again damaging my natural nail (photo attached). Each time I was there the nail tech(s) would criticize the surrounding nail shops bragging on their low prices. Maybe they should take a step back and realize it's cheaper because BLUSH USES CHEAP PRODUCTS. Also their nail techs don't use the proper bonding and sealant for dip nails. If you don't do fake acrylic nails done go here. I do enjoy getting my nails done very much, I do not however enjoy making multiple trips in one week to fix nails that should last me 3. I decided before I post on yelp, let me reach out to the owner and let them know what's happening... I get a notification that the video I sent was replayed, I however never received a response or even an apology for wasting my money and my time. THEN - I go today to copy and past my review on here for everyone to see and the nail salon BLOCKED me. The lack of professionalism is the least of my worries.. I'm posting this because why waste your money at a place who doesn't value its clients or use propers tools required. Don't get got like I did.
