The front desk was accommodating, I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 11 requesting for a gel-x new set and soak off. I was told to come back an hour and a half later which was fine as I had other errands to run and I agreed upon setting an appointment. Since I needed to get my nails done due to having many plans during the weekend. Walking in, I was checked in and wisked away to a station to which young woman was doing my nails and we got started. I requested to have cateye or chrome done and while they're new, their selection of colors was lacking. To which it's fine I was open to anything as I really need to get this set done. The initial service was fine. She removed my old set of gel X and was in the process of sizing me for new tips as well as applying them when all of a sudden the front desk receptionist to which I feel like was either the owner or the manager was talking to my nail technician for a bit and then all of a sudden was sent back to do another customers nails. I was shocked and unsure of what was going on as the nail technician told me my client just arrived I have to leave. Knowing now what I know I wish I would've told them to stop doing my nails and just left with bare nails. To preface. I've had my nails done all over the country and have been getting them done like this for over 18+ years and I've never had a nail technician switch up on me mid service. However, I really needed to get my nails done and I had to go to work within two hours after my appointment so I was desperate. Later, a gentleman came in and tried to finish my nails. His name was Phi and he was very rude, condescending and inconsiderate. Phi went and put an excess of undercoat onto my nails so it flooded over and now it's cured, stuck and uncomfortable. I'd ask him to remove it for me and he said that the area I was pointing too was my natural nail and there was nothing he could do. I still went and tipped him 18 percent because I understand that this is his livelihood but I'll never come back to this spa and will tell everyone I know to avoid them at all cost.

I understand that they will be some wait time as a walk-in, which I am completely fine with. However, if you say it will be a 15 minutes wait, and that turns into a 50 minute way we will have a problem. I would rather the front desk just be more honest about the wait time, or just say that they are too busy for walk-ins at the moment. I would understand if they were too busy to take me, but I would rather know that waste so much time waiting and waiting for a technician.

The plus was it was a quick drive from where I live. As I approached the door one of the nail techs were outside and greeted me and asked if I had an appointment. I did not and she proceeded to walk me inside and inquired about the service I was looking to receive. Upon walking in I was very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the salon. It didn't seem like your typical Asian owned salon. The nail techs inside were all Hispanic. Everyone was super polite. Music was playing in the back. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the staff speaks Spanish and many of them are from my home country, Colombia. The salon is fairly new. It's decorated elegantly and simple but stylish. This last time, the tech who was very sweet convinced me to do the acrylic dip. It was my first time ever getting dipped. It was fast and quicker than my regular powder "mix and spread" technique. Temporary satisfaction. The consequence - a little over a week later, the whole set chipped horribly. My nails look a hot mess. I've gone up to 6 weeks no chipping at all using the other method. I choose for dip nails, which cost $45. Unfortunately, by January 6th, the dip polish had already started falling off on two nails. Over the following days, more nails began to flake off until all of them were completely bare. For the remainder of my trip, my nails looked unkempt, with the leftover dip leaving my cuticles messy and unclean. I've had dip nails done at other salons before, and they've always lasted 2-3 weeks. This experience was extremely disappointing, and due to the poor quality of the service, I will not be returning to this salon.
