She rushed, had a negative attitude, and did my nails excessively thick underneath, causing real discomfort. When I politely asked for a slight refinement, she refused to fix her own work and they tried sending me to another tech instead. At that point I didn't want to go back. The Owner Lily was even more unprofessional, yelling at me, refusing a reasonable refund, and handling the situation terribly. Between poor quality, bad attitudes, and lack of accountability, I ended up filing a dispute and won. Would not recommend! read more

I was recommended by a friend to check out Bliss. I have been on the hunt for a home nail salon. I must say I was pleasantly suprised. It's a clean salon and it wasn't too busy on a Monday. Now I know the girlies like their gel and dip, but I just want a mani and pedi. And it seems like many nail salons frown on it because it's not an extra service. I had a glorious pedi by Kevin and manicure where he paid attention to detail. This is important to me, because I like to be focused on when I'm receiving my services. Hello, After going to your shop a few times from a friends recommendation I didn't have any issues until yesterday. I always get acrylics with regular nail polish. I do not like gel. Yesterday I was there to get my acrylics filled. I brought my nail polish, and the girl said that she could not use my nail polish. We don't do that here you have to use gel. I said to her that I did not have a problem before the last time I was here I use the same nail polish, and she continue to say I can't do that. I can't do that. It'll mess up it'll mess up and she continued to force the gel nail polish. I was getting annoyed and I did not want to cause a scene, so I said OK whatever and she continued cut my nails the way I like them then she filed them too short. I complained at the desk when I paid which was a lot more than I paid before with just my acrylics and polish. I'm highly disappointed. read more

Really have tried to be patient with this salon but finally taking my loyalty somewhere else. The attitude of the staff alone is enough for me to never go back. This place is going completely downhill and I've been a customer for over a year. I read a review where a customer felt outright embarrassed, and I just experienced a very similar situation. I usually get a design with Anan Bi, normally she does a decent job but today was terrible. From the time I sat down, it felt like she was having either a bad day or she did not want to be at work. I was patient because we all have bad days, but she turned downright disrespectful when I told her that the design was not up to par with the picture that I showed her. I tried to give feedback as she was doing it and she was not willing to receive it and just told me to wait. Needless to say at the end, I was not happy with the product and she was mad that I'm asked it to be removed. I'm going on vacation to Greece and don't want to look at a terrible design for two weeks. Again, I was very respectful because I know that that could frustrate a Nail tech but I also did not want to pay $85 and leave unhappy for a vacation. Needless to say, she just got up and walked away AND STARTED SERVICING ANOTHER CLIENT. I was left to sit with no direction for over 15 minutes. The next nail tech was just as bad if not worse, bad attitude, snarky, downright disrespectful. The first photo from Pinterest is what I wanted, the second is what I got. I've frequented this place for the last 2-3 months. It's been extremely difficult to find an establishment that offers good service, smooth gel polish and a 5* shape without adding acrylic. There is usually a wait when you enter but less than 5mins each time I've been. I love that new tool packages are opened in the front of, and used for each new client being serviced. I've been going to Bliss Nails for years and have finally decided to take my loyalty elsewhere. I've had many bad experiences but kept pushing past them because I'm a firm believer in client longevity. I'm a very generous tipper and make it a point to be polite/kind, so I am even more perplexed at this sudden decline in service. My last straw was when the technician was far too rough with me despite my protests of pain. He twisted and pulled on my wrists, left me with several nicks, and 1 deep cut. He wasn't apologetic and instead kept telling me it was my fault I was experiencing this. There was no point going to management because the complaints go nowhere. The time before that, the young lady who did my nail skipped steps resulting in 2 nails breaking in less than 12 hours, while I was typing. I returned the next day and management agreed to the nail being fixed free of charge. The technician working on the nail was not happy to repair it. She made several inappropriate comments, skipped steps, and made the nail crooked. I asked her to look at the nail but she walked away. When I showed management the work she initially looked shocked by the poor job but tried to stick by her technician's work. It wasn't until 2 customers at the counter shared they opinions on the lazy job that they agreed to fix it. This place used to be a pleasant relaxing oasis but have since gone downhill. For the past several months going to get my nails done have felt like bracing for battle instead of self care. They do a good job on the nails for the most part but the inconsistency in service and lack of accountability makes the whole thing not worth it. If you have no choice ask for Tim. I called in early in the morning asking if I could set an apt for 7 pm because it says it's open till 8:30 online and 7 on other sites. I have gotten my nails done a week ago with acrylic and I banged my finger against some thing and my acrylic nail split in half and now I'm stuck with 1/2 nail and the rest are done but still I got them done in Ohio to start with and they lasted a very long time even with softball. I love her work and her consistent, excellent customer service. So I checked out Bliss and their new ownership. I was impressed by how clean and pretty it looked. The front of the store is for manicures - their display showcases OPI nail polish and several rings of dip color samples. Past that, there are two glass encased water features flanking the doorway to the pedicure area. My husband and I have spa dates, each getting a manicure and pedicure. As we got our pedicures, I watched bubbled, color-changing water streaming past fixed round glass shapes within the glass enclosures. It added to the calm of the shop. Even though there was a steady stream of customers, the techs didn't rush. We both found that the massages lasted longer than to what we've become accustomed. My husband's nail tech, Helen, even asked him to remove his watch so she could massage his forearms! My husband had their red wine and said it was good. When Nikki's next appointment arrived, she didn't rush through my manicure. Her customer was relaxed about it - maybe it's the air in the salon! They are very accommodating. Several customers asked for ombre dip manicures. I saw a woman show a pic on her phone of what she wanted and her tech agreed to do it. As customers were introduced to their techs, the techs smiled and struck up conversation. You could tell they really want their customers to be happy. The owner was very gracious and appreciative of our business. It was a good experience and we left feeling great about Nikki and Helen's work. I'm so glad that Nikki is doing my nails. Currently sitting getting my pedicure $67 for a "deluxe" gel pedi. Nail tech did not do the full 10 minute massage, did not scrub the bottom of my feet for anymore than 5 seconds per foot. And when putting the paraffin wax, she did not spread it to the rest of my foot. Just put my foot in the bag and walked away. I'm super disappointed right now. I had a great experience at Bliss nails. My technician was amazing and got the length, shape and French dip perfect. For injury on my toe she was also great with a nice pedicure. Maybe a bit longer massage on pedicure is the only thing because it felt more like a wash than massage with lotion but other than that everything was great. I'm so glad I found this place! Jackie is my nail guy, and he always does such a great job. He gave me my first acrylic set and I trust him with every fill-in. He really takes his time and is careful, and if you want something specific he's always willing to accommodate you. He's also extremely upfront about pricing; sometimes I'm indecisive with my nails and run an idea by him, and he'll tell me exactly what the cost would be. Speaking of which, the place is really affordable as far as acrylics go. I was charged $35 for a full set and $20 for a fill-in (though you will be charged extra according to the complexity of design). I'm up at university right now and I wish I could bring Jackie with me so I don't have to search for other trustworthy techs, but I'm coming home this weekend for a wedding so I'm excited to visit him again and watch him work his magic! read more

Verbal abuse should NEVER be tolerated, whether a first-time offence or otherwise. What adds insult to injury is that neither management or owner may be aware and/or notified of the hostile employee behaviour I endured (which I will described shortly) involving within, thereby setting a zero-tolerance policy. As I researched this business's reviews, the common thread represents this business's challenge with proper conflict/problem resolution applications as evident in their employee's bullying tactics of yesterday. Prior to doing so, I researched all media platforms to understand what we can expect from the cornerstones of this business. Here is what I found and here is my experience... "...professional staff and skillful certified technicians will give you the best nail spa experience with their talent, enthusiasm, friendliness, and charming manner that you can't ever experience in other nail salons. Come to verify those facts and you will yearn to come back!" I consistently make same day appointments due to my busy schedule as business owner as was the case yesterday. Friendly and always smiling, respectfully and politely greeting my nail tech, I realized she ignored my eager positive energy when I asked twice, how are you today Tracey (Dao Nguyen)? No enthusiasm or charm. I began searching the wall of nail colours, still learning how to choose colours as this had never been my strength nor talent. I need their expertise in doing so and so had been accustomed asking as I did next. I asked Tracey if she would select a nice colour? My request was met with hostility and a very condescending inaccurate remark. "You always ask the same thing...CHOOSE YOUR COLOUR...then you don't like the colour..." I calmly and tactfully requested that Tracey recollect my relation with everyone there as one that NEVER represented what she insinuated or implied. I am known for my infectious laughter, bubbly personality, and professionalism, distinctively contrary to and inaccurate to her budding reception. Ironically, my previous visit with Tracey, she had introduced our encounter the same way. I had successfully ignored it and replaced with positive friendly chatter. I had heard the salon staff talking about individuals who come in to change their colours the day after. I am happy to report this has NEVER been my case for the year I have frequented this salon. A broken or chipped nail for repair, maybe. Tracey and her staff have always made my colour-blind handicap one of minimal challenge. What I had walked into, definitely was NOT a friendly atmosphere. Yesterday was significantly different for reasons that are still unclear as there was no closure on the part of the business representatives. Tracey escalated very quickly in raising her voice, repeatedly verbally degrading, and belittling my innocence and integrity. The entire salon knew she was upset. Can you imagine the embarrassment I endured because of my colour-blind handicap? All I politely ask her, was to choose my nail colour and she immediately snapped in retaliation. I walked away very diplomatically in silence to defuse the hostile environment Tracey created. I proceeded to the front desk in hope of an amicable solution for immediate relaxation where I considered this salon my 'happy place'. The lack of conflict management skills was verified. Many of these comments pointing towards the lack of care and concern in making things right are 100% accurate. The other staff member portrayed a helpless attitude towards the developing issue which fueled more energy to the negative display of attention by Tracey. Did any management person call to apologize, accept ownership for the unacceptable degradation, or attempt the proper steps towards problem resolution? Nope! My request to find out the root cause of what felt like a customer's blindsided entry to a verbal war zone, was only met with no employee empowerment beyond Tracey's rant. I was there from 2-4:30pm and though the nail tech who serviced my nails offered comforting words that brought tears to my eyes, the perpetrator of verbal abuse was rewarded. This is unacceptable on all levels especially when a customer articulates a disability and seeks your assistance, number one employee or not. Had any customer retaliated in this like manner, rest assured, they would have been asked to leave. This should also be the case with Tracey. Unfortunately, she was permitted to resume her duties and everyone pretending things were business as usual. I have no yearning to return! No one should be subjected to any level of abuse in any environment for the sake of a service. read more

After my last visit about a week ago my nails tech( AnAn) took me outside once I paid and left a nice tip to let me she does want to do my nails or my mother nails again and that we can go somewhere closer to our house(I drove 30 mins) because we stressed her out.
