L'Acqua Nail Spa - Don't Over Ink It - new OPI fall color - Waxing Near Me - Plantation, Florida

I was at this location last night 10/20 and I had the WORST experience ever. This was my second time here and I only went because I can walk to the shop from my house. I had a nail that was lifting and it hurt bad so I walk in and the lady at the desk says someone was available so I stood and waited. Here is things went wrong. The is asking me to pick my color and I absolutely hate when they do that before they even say hello or greet you so I was undecided on a color so I of the boards to the desk, we then get started on him, taking off my dip polish, and the amount of kung fu grip he had on my hands. I kept having to pull my hand back you're hurting me and then the pinky nail that would repair that was lifting he kept filing on it and making it hurt even worse, so I kept pulling my handbag, and I thought that he would get the hint, but he didn't. his name is He was the worst doesn't have any type of customer service and he did play the role of he did not understand English my nails look horrendous. He brings out a bowl and it's scorching hot acetone in it and it's like got a cotton I can't even put my nails into this bowl one my nail is sensitive to the water is extremely hot and then he's telling me to rub my nails on the cotton balls so that he won't have to use the file to the dip. Yeah I was a little confused. I just went with it at this point I'm already super frustrated and was getting ready to get up once we got past that I was able to pick a color. He then started putting the dip on my and then had the nerve to tell me how many times he's going to dip my nails when I know that I need a few extra dips and I will pay for to make sure my nails do not break. These are my nails they're rather long. They're longer than average. I'mma say that and to keep my cracking breaking splitting I'd like to have like a few extra layers of dip powder. He told me no, and he only gave me two dips. I still bend my nails after I left there and right now as I'm leaving this review, I can bend my nails dip is supposed to get hard so at this point, my nails have bumps in them. They are not shaped like I want them. They are supremely flat. I have curved nails and they're my nails and he made them super flat as if I have like flat tips so they are very ugly. I then ended my service and asked to speak to a manager upon leaving and they said a manager will call you in the morning well at this particular time it is now 1108 and I have not heard from anyone so I called and now they're telling me the management team won't be in till 6 PM. Know how upset I am and I hope that they business from here either gets better or people just stop going because my first experience with they call him the jokey man or the jokester my experience with him was phenomenal. He kept my nails curved. He gave me good shape. He was phenomenal. I wish he would've been there last night cause I would've went to him, but yeah if they give me John again, I'm gonna walk out and I'll let you guys know if the manager has called me. read more

I walked in and was very impressed with the modern and sleek look of this nail salon. It also looked immaculate, so I was off to a good start. The lady took me on time. I received a manicure and pedicure. They had many colors to choose from. I chose a lavender color. It ended up being very thick. I had that experience at another nail salon and just let it go. Then I regretted it later at home. It started peeling quickly. I did not want that to happen again. I mentioned it to the nail tech and she did not want to use a different polish. I had to insist. She finally agreed to redo the two nails she had polished. This put a strain on the experience. Overall, I am happy with the way my nails turned out but I am not sure I would return. read more

I have been here already a couple of times and the few times I have gone here it's with an appointment. It's best with an appointment because sometimes they get booked but they always take walkings. Will be coming back to do my holiday nails . read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience here. We booked an appointment without requesting anyone specific, and unfortunately the service was far from acceptable. My mom asked for a simple mani-pedi--no polish, just basic cleanup. During the pedicure, she politely asked the technician if she could lightly file the bottom of her feet since she had some dry skin. Instead of accommodating or even responding professionally, the technician dismissively told her to "just use Vaseline." That kind of response is incredibly disrespectful and not what you expect when paying for a service. It didn't stop there. When my mom asked for a square nail shape with slightly rounded edges (a very common request), the technician became visibly annoyed and rushed through the job, leaving her nails uneven and poorly shaped. On top of everything, $65 is absolutely not worth the service and treatment we received. This isn't an isolated issue either--the last two times I've come here, the quality has clearly gone downhill. Customer service is lacking, and the attention to detail just isn't there anymore. Sadly, I won't be coming back. read more

Thr Dragon Lady in the front, is very proud of her moniker. Rude, condescending, and incapable of sincere conversation.

This is my favorite nail place, I've been coming here for 10 years. Always get my nails done with Liann, she's very nice and SUPER detailed with my nails. They have a variety of services available. Comfy pedicure chairs too! They can use a little deep cleaning sometimes from all the nail dust but at least all the tools are always disinfected properly. read more

I called and asked if there was an opening available for a manicure. I was told there would be within an hour. I made the reservation. I was greeted promptly and introduced to Ann. Overall, it was such an unexpected and very pleasant experience. Ann very patiently listened to where I was going and what I wanted done. After showing me some options, we agreed what would look appropriate. There was no feeling of being one of dozen on a conveyer belt. The shop was immaculate. ...and, although it is a very large room, the noise level was nothing more than a whisper. I'm sure the weekends are a different story! There was no insider banter among the staff and that was refreshing. I have made my next appointment. read more

Do not come here to get dip on your nails!! I've had so many bad experiences here. I came in on Friday to get a dip manicure with Linda. She started my nails by grinding my cuticles before soaking and adding the cuticle remover. It was very painful and I asked her why she did it that way but she didn't understand me and just kept on going. I figured I would just let her work and complete the nails. She did 2 very thin layers of dip and shaped them nicely. I thought it was strange that she only did two but I didn't know any better. Then she added a coat of gel polish on top to add more pigment because the dip powder didn't look like the sample nail. The next day I woke up and went about my day. Within a couple hours, I had already broken 1 nail. It snapped right off. In addition, all the gel was peeling. So I went back into the salon and Linda redid that nail and added 2 more coats of the dip because it was too thin. Two days later my whole nail popped off on my index finger! I called the salon and complained that I don't have time to keep coming in and getting my nails fixed and asked for. Refund but they refused and said it's against their policy. Very unfortunate to me that they would rather make a few dollars than correct the issue with a simple refund. The sad part is this is the second time I've had this issue when getting dip put on my nails at this salon. Even thought I went to someone totally different the first time. read more

Just had the best pedicure of my life! No joke. I rarely upgrade pedicures, but decided to today. I chose the Organic Pedicure for $52, which includes a sugar scrub, mud mask, and massage butter + oil in your scent of choice. I chose green tea, but there's also lavender, cucumber, mango, ocean, tangerine, and Vitamin C. The pedicure includes an extended leg and foot massage and a glass of wine. Book your time at this nail spa and request April! She is amazing to talk to and makes every client feel special. read more

Lam is always my go to, he takes his time with nails and listens carefully. I've always been skeptical about nail extensions and my nails for my wedding came out exactly as I wanted. Also, when I come to him to remove the nail extensions or just regular gel/dip, he's gentle with them and doesn't grind the nails down too much like most places do. Highly recommend! read more

This was the worst nail salon experience I've had in a while. They claimed that gel manicures had a fixed price, but when I asked for a French tip, the price increased by $15-$20 depending on the type of French tip I wanted. To make matters worse, the man cut my cuticles in two different spots without any remorse. When I called to inquire about the pricing, they didn't mention anything except the basic starting price of services. walking out of the salon paying $60 was not worth will not be coming back or recommending to anyone to come here. read more

I've finally found nail techs that take their time and are attentive to detail at L'Acqua Nail Spa! They did a fabulous job and gave me exactly what I wanted. I was well accommodated from the start when I changed what I wanted from a gel manicure to tips with dip last minute. Jolie did a wonderful job on my pedicure and manicure. She cleaned up my cuticles well and took her time. I've been rushed numerous times throughout salons in south fl but she had certain techniques that my nail lady of 10 years in Chicago had, so I could tell she knew what she was doing. Zeus did my tip with dip. Phenomenal job, I gave him a photo and he executed it well. I've gotten tips with dip on my nails before and they looked terrible- too chunky for my tiny nail beds, but Zeus took his time to shave down the tips so they are not as chunky. I personally love how they turned out, I loved that I was not rushed and treated well. Great conversation with Zeus. Will def be coming back- I found not one, but two great nail techs! read more

Checked this place out randomly. Beautiful decor, clean and prices actually weren't bad for the services they provided. I simply got a basic pedicure and manicure, no acrylics nothing. Only reason for my 4 stars is my nail tech didn't talk to me not one time during the entire service. She did a great job but honestly I have never gotten my nails done in complete silence. Even when I tried to make conversation she didn't really speak or acknowledge. Not sure if there was a language barrier but it did make the experience a little lack luster. Overall I may return and hopefully I get someone a little more friendly. read more

Service was fast and the employees were very kind and respectful! Usually when getting my nails done they hurt my cuticles and cut them/my nails too short. This one did not hurt at all! Got a matching mani pedi and was very happy with the results. A little pricey and it's not well communicated, but was a nice little treat:) read more

I, unfortunately, went here last month for a mani & upgraded pedi while back in town on a recommendation from my brother, who is a regular. Never again! My mani was okay but the pedicure was horrific (which was validated by 3 other nail techs there), yet still charged full price. $80 for an awful experience & my toenails have yet to grow out enough to straighten them out by an actual professional. And yes, they offered to have another tech straighten & repaint my toenails but, there wasn't enough nail left to refile or clip to straighten the severe angles. read more

I had my nails done at this place a few times. My previous ok experiences are only reason why I don't give 1 star. I'll be talking about my last visit. When I made an appointment over the phone I specifically asked for the best tech to do my mani/pedi. I was promised by the reception that I'll be happy with the results. When I arrived to the salon I asked again if the tech who is doing my nails is good and for the second time I was assured. Turned out I had probably the worst manicure of my life. Andrew clearly didn't know to shape the nails evenly, how to make the length the same and worst of all is how to apply the nail polish. The edges were not a clean lines, nails have heels and bumps, color is lighter and deeper on some nails... I couldn't take proper photos right after because the nails were too glossy and pictures didn't do justice. So here are a few pictures on day 1 and after the nails grew. read more

The place is located in a shopping strip where it is not easy to find parking. I had an appointment and was helped over 25 minutes after. The nail tech name was Emily, she did not seem very experienced, or at least it do not seem like she had taken the course. After I left, I noticed that nail polish was left around my toes, which was understandable, since I never saw her clean up after painting. I also felt like the massage with rubber gloves felt very weird. Overall, if you go to this place, I do not recommend this nail tech. Response: Sandy thank you for your response. However, I should not need to tell your "top technician" to clean the polish, that should be standard. read more

I just love getting my nails done here. My go to tech is Mariah. She is the bomb.com. You can tell she takes pride in her work. I love getting dip powder with my natural nails. Through experience, this service is hard to perfect but she's a master at it. There was a tech before her I loved for about a year however, the last time she did my nails they all started breaking and chipping for some reason. But if that never happened, I would've never found Mariah so it's all good! This salon is very modern and always clean. In my opinion, it's one of the best in the area. Although my fave right now is Mariah, a lot of the staff appear very professional and knowledgeable to me. You should def considered giving this salon a try. read more

My experience is always pleasant. I only get French gel because they do a good job with French pedicure/manicure, I have not had any issues. The staff is nice and professional, offer water and the are is clean. Only downside is the cost. For French hands/feet $105 not including tip. Truthfully you can get the same look for less elsewhere but you might not get a good tech. I'd say if you want a place reliable for last minute event or special occasion you can't go wrong here. If you are looking for same quality for less try T nails in Coral Springs. read more

Everyone is nice and does good work. They take your cell number when you make an appointment and have called me if they're running late.

My nail artist was great at her work but not once did she try to socialize. It was first time and she barely said three words at a time. Wasn't helpful with finding nail color. Just stood there and stared at me. She just pointed to the sink for hand wash and then said done. I'm not asking for 5 star treatment just asking for normal social interaction. Why would I spend any money to get my nails done with alllll the at home stuff today. Because people that's why. You get to be around people. Maybe I'm old school just annoyed at how she or no one spoke ever. Never going back just not comfortable. read more

Found this business on Yelp while looking for a new nail place. It's spacious, very clean and wide variety of colors. The two people I have had so far were very pleasant and did a good job. I found it to be a little pricy though. $70 for dip manicure with chrome finish was a little more than I expected it to be. Nail designs are extra and mine were $4 for each nail. read more

I had an amazing experience here! I've been shopping around for a location and tech and I was referred by one of my friends. I think I found my forever home. I'm so used to one technique and process from my previous salon which is a franchise. But here they did everything the other salon did, just in a different order and maybe even in a better quality! I got dip mani and gel pedi. Price was average. But service was amazing! Both my nail techs were kind and respectful. Definitely coming back. Location is on University and Peters where the Vegan Parlour is. It's a quiet and quaint plaza, not so busy, and parking isn't difficult. I just moved to the plantation area and needed a new salon. This one was close by, had longer hours, good reviews and was able to get me in on a Sunday! When I went in I was directed to pick my color for my dip and pedicure. I chose an OPI shade. I like my colors to match so I made sure to ask my tech, Charlie, if there was matching shades for the dip and regular polish for the toes and I was told yes. The pedicure was nice and the chairs were relaxing. My toes looked great- the perfect pearl / metallic shade I was looking for. The dip manicure did NOT measure up. The color is not similar at all. Before Charlie put the top coat I even asked if there was a different shade he could add on top to make it match my toes. I was told no, they didn't have anything. I specifically asked for gel top coat because that's what makes my nails last. He only used gel base coat! Not the gel top coat over that. I left very disappointed - especially because these are my birthday nails.!! read more

My first time here. First, I got a very nice pedicure with the fluffy gel. It was quite relaxing. The tech took her time and did a good job with the painting, massage, etc. Then, I was sent to another tech for my manicure. I requested to have a powder dipped one in lieu of gel due to the harshness of the gel. Upon sitting, I told the tech I had never had this type of manicure before. She began by drilling off the top layer of my nails. Then, started dipping in the powder, etc. After a bit, she said I was all done. I asked why she didn't manicure my cuticles. She said it was extra to do that. Also, no massage, no lotion, no anything. It was $40 for the service. Hardly worth it! My nails don't even look so great. My cuticles look horrible! I asked why she didn't tell me it was extra. I should've known was the reply. I definitely don't recommend this type of manicure unless you're willing to pay $50. My total bill was $80 + tip. read more

Today I decide to get a pedicure and it has to be the worst pedicure I've had at this salon. My prior pedicure, done at another salon, over a month ago, looked better than what I walked out with today. I had gel polish on, which the tech used a drill to remove however, seemed to not have removed completely because my nail now looks bumpy. Plus she was too lazy to take the polish all the way down to the cuticle which looks like I have half a toe nail. Two stars simply because there might be better techs in that salon, it is clean and the rest of the pedicure service was okay. Total cost for the service was $30 plus an additional $5 for removing the old gel polish. Some techs do not speak English, which result in them not doing what you are asking of them, they just nod and pretend like they understand until you press the issue then they ask one of their co-workers to translate. I guess your experience will depend on what tech you get, I was extremely unlucky and possible got the laziest or Newest tech there. read more

I paid $60 for this without the $10 tip I also left . I live in east Fort Lauderdale and have never paid more than $45 for a full set of dip including a tip. I didn't see menus or pricing anywhere so was shocked when they gave me the total . I wouldn't have had a problem with the price if the work was worth it but this is probably one of the worst nail jobs I've ever received . Scratched up cuticles , product everywhere , shape is all off (showed her a pic twice that I wanted shorter almond shape). Also got a $30 pedi which was average but wouldn't complain about that. I'll stick to getting my nails done on las olas for cheaper and better! Don't recommend at all. read more

It has been a struggle finding a great nail salon/ nail tech after my nail tech of 2 years moved. I can't tell you how happy I am my friend recommended this salon. She stated that she goes to anyone Bc it's always a great experience which really helped with my anxiety going to a new tech. Upon arrival I was greeted and advise to pick a color. Their color choices were pretty and updated. So many choices - and they were neatly and pretty colors to choose from. The salon is clean and beautifully decorated. 1st red flag: I was questioned '" Why do I just want one nail cut?" (by the quote on quote manager by the way). I don't understand why that should even matter I am a customer that wants a service. Thats like asking "why do you want a polish change?" 2nd red flag : After waiting 20mins I am informed that one tech is available does not work on acrylic nails. Mind you this place is suppose to be upscale but does not have techs with their craft up to par. So I have to continue waiting. Patiently and quietly not even fussing. 3rd red flag: After waiting for a total of at least 35 mins and seeing customers who came in after me get taken care of I get this tech who seems she could care less. Plus before she came up the manager asked if she could cut one nail jokingly and the tech seemed annoyed. So once the tech seats me my experience continues to be unpleasant. She is rather rude and rushes my already short service. She seemed like she had better things to do. She still didn't even do what I wanted. I didn't get the name of the tech but she was older, had a short dark brown bob and wore glasses. So to put the icing on the cake I inform the manager of my situation the one that sits at the front. She literally laughs and apologizes. SHE IS LITERALLY LAUGHING WHILE APOLOGIZING. LOL I work in the customer service industry and this is def not a way to handle things. No " oh please come back and lets make it better". It was more of a condescending sorry get over it. Mind you this is from the manager... Come here if you want to be treated like crap and get laughed at. Or I guess if you don't look a certain way you won't get treated with common decency or be a priority.
