Patrick from Bluebird Pest Solutions came out about a month ago because I was, after several years, hearing mice in my attic again. I'd used probably three other companies over the years, and the mice would be gone for a few years and then come back. Patrick was different. He showed me where holes were around AC connections and around my outside faucet and sealed them, in addition to setting baited traps. Because I'm in a townhouse, he wanted to check the spot where my foundation joined my neighbor's (I'm in an end unit). She had been away, and only a few days ago could I speak to her and ask her permission for him to come onto her property. He just today plugged up where he thought there was an opening in the corner between our homes. No other pest control company had ever plugged any holes before, and certainly not on an adjacent property. So far, I have not heard any mice, and I'm very hopeful with today's additional hole plugging that I won't ever again. Rather than signing contracts to have treatments done over and over to try and keep pests out, it makes much more sense to have someone actually try to eliminate your problem. We've used Bluebird for more than 3 years now, and are completely satisfied. Patrick and his team have seen us through rats, mice, ants and spider infestations. He has been endlessly creative and willing to experiment, especially when it comes to protecting birds, chipmunks and squirrels, which we like and want to promote / avoid harming. Echoing other reviews as I found Patrick great to work with and would recommend using this local service. I generally look for local services with good reviews through review sites and online communities, this was how I found out about Bluebird. I was experiencing rodent problems and had another company come out and take a look, they were only interested in selling a subscription service and did not meet expectations (trying to upcharge and fear monger insulation replacement that conveniently, was something they also provided). I contacted Patrick to get a second opinion, and once he came out, he identified entrypoints and explained his approach in getting rid of the problem. We are so happy with Patrick and Bluebird Pest Solutions! We reached out to FOUR companies, and all they did was try to get us to sign a contract and set up traps around the house. We gave it our best shot--over and over again--but NOTHING worked. That is, until Patrick came along. Patrick came out alone to our home, he blocked every hole around the house and the garage door, and set traps wherever he found openings, and did not charge us at that time. He even came back four times to make sure the issue was solved, without any additional charges. Incredible, he got rid of our mouse problem! We have a baby monitor in our attic and caught 19 mice last year, however, they kept coming until Patrick stepped in. Now we have no more mouse problems. Wish I would have found him in the first place. Bluebird's pricing was incredibly reasonable with no contract needed. When we would talk to the other companies, we asked them to go around and seal all of the holes, and they had no interest in doing so, they offered redoing our entire attic's insulation to "solve the issue", another company's inspector told my secretary privately the only way to stop the mice was covering the holes but the company he worked for would not let him do it and he suggested we find someone else. The other companies in my opinion just want to continue coming back and continue charging you. Cannot recommend Bluebird highly enough after trying many other highly recommended companies first. We spent a year hiring many other companies to deal with one little mouse getting into our kitchen. All the other companies we tried fell into two categories. 1. Those that set up mouse traps inside and set up bait stations outside, and that's all they know how to do. They put in no effort to problem solve with you, to find out what's causing the issue, and they absolutely don't care about your pest issues. They'll try to sell you a contract, where all they'll do during service visits is refill your bait stations. 2. Another kind of company will recommend very expensive services and repairs to your home such as sealing your home from the outside, encapsulating your basement, putting in expensive barriers, and paying for an expensive monthly contract. These companies will charge you thousands of dollars for their services and, when the repairs don't work, they'll recommend even more expensive repairs. Bluebird is neither of these. They have expertise and understand pests. They will problem solve with you. They work with you as a partner to figure out the cause of the issue instead of just throwing bait and traps around thoughtlessly. They don't provide unnecessary expensive services and won't try to sell them to you. They are responsive and make themselves available when you need them. Unlike the many other companies I tried first, Patrick at Bluebird figured out exactly how a mouse was getting onto or kitchen counter within 10 minutes in our home. He did a much more thorough sealing of the outside of our house, identifying numerous holes missed by a previous company that we had paid $1000+ to. He understood how mice worked so was able to explain our situation accurately to us - what to be concerned about, what not to worry about, and what to expect. He told us that the thousands of dollars we were about to spend on basement encapsulation at the recommendation of another company was a waste of money because encapsulation is not a pest solution. And over several months, he problem solved with us every step of the way. It took 7 months to stop the mouse from getting into our home. I honestly believe we never would have figured it out if not for Bluebird. Even though it was a stressful time, finding someone we trusted, who genuinely cared and was committed to trying to resolve the issue, made it so much easier to handle. It's very rare to find a company that really knows what they're talking about, does their job well, and offers no BS or overselling.
