Holiday Termite & Pest Control is by far the best pest control company in the area. I've used their rodent services for years, and I used them recently for termite prevention. A few weeks ago, a bunch of termite swarms came out at once in my area, and I was one of dozens of clients needing service. With the high influx of calls, my appointment was made for two weeks out, but I was called and serviced a few days later after a cancellation. Chris came out, confirmed we didn't have termites, but we decided to get the preventative treatment. He was very thorough and took time to explain what happened with the swarm, and what all our next steps would look like. He also gave me a killer recommendation for good chicken wings, and as an Update NY-er, this information is more valuable than gold. I often have other pest prevention companies knocking on my door, and I make it known I'm a loyal Holiday customer. They all seem to know too, because they thank me and head in the other direction without any other questions. Not only is Holiday one of the best pest control companies out there, it is overall one of the best small business companies in the area. We felt frustrated by the lack of expertise with a previous company, so gave Holiday a try. The free inspection with Chris was super helpful. We rent our basement and he spoke knowledgeably with our tenants and us. He spent plenty of time looking over the entire basement apartment and the exterior of our house. He pointed out several entry points around our foundation and explained how the mice were probably entering. He shared the recommended treatment and cost, which was in line with the previous company we'd used. However, his knowledge and time were worth a lot more! The cost included a follow up visit a week later to review how the treatment had progressed and do the final sealing. He did another inspection then and explained what he saw and how the treatment would continue working. So we had a weird and sudden infestation of yellow jackets coming into my bathroom (2nd floor with East facing window) that started a few weeks ago and got progressively worse. Went from one or two in the mornings to, finally, more than two dozen at once. Called Holiday on a Tuesday afternoon and they sent one of their professionals the next day. Anthony called me to let me know he was 10 minutes out and, sure enough, 10 minutes later he was at the door. First off, what an impression he made. Totally professional. Direct eye contact introducing himself and waited to be invited into the house (of course, right, but still). Showed him the scene of the crime, taking out the screen to let him look out to see any visible hives - there weren't any. Then he went outside to inspect. Told me there weren't any established hives where there should be if we had an established 'nest' (my words, not his). He then talked me through what the issue likely was and explained that this was likely an aberration due to the weird weather we've been having. I told Anthony my husband had hot glued some screening to the inside of my bathroom vent fan a couple of days prior and we hadn't seen a yellow jacket since. Bottom line, Anthony told me we didn't have a permanent issue and didn't need their service at this time. But he did explain how their services work - including that they are environmentally conscious and use their products judiciously. He also gave me a quick overview of their pricing. Bottom line, if/when we ever need their services they will absolutely get our business and I will ask for Anthony specifically. Might seem weird to give 5 stars for no actual physical service rendered, but wow. This business clearly has their act together if they've got this kind of professionalism representing them. read more

This company is top tier! After dealing with another company's extremely poor communication, I had to let them go which unfortunately left my house unprotected in the height of the season, in an extremely wooded area with lots of vegetation. A coworker suggested I try Holiday Termite & Pest. An initial inspection was scheduled within one week, which was amazing bc we'd started to have heavy rains and ants and spiders were finding their way inside. Let me tell you about Chris. This guy is extraordinary. He's not just unbelievably knowledgeable in his field, he's badged, certified and titled. Chris's encyclopedic knowledge of bugs and critters gives you 100% assurance that you have chosen the right company. Plus he's just a nice guy whom I probably could've had a chat with all day. Lastly, Holiday Termite & Pest provides far more quality service for waaaaaaaay less than my previous company. Value unmatched. I was actually totally blown away. Don't sleep on this company. One-year update: Excellent and friendly service whenever I call and when I meet the tech in person. That said, I have not reached the goal of zero bugs, which might be an unrealistic goal anyway. Got quite a bit of springtails with the wet weather this spring and summer. Got sprickets and spiders in the house and garage in the summer. A lot of them die (I think from the effects of what Holiday sprays) so you'll find dried-up corpses, but there are still live ones that I have to deal with. I have not had a rodent problem, but Holiday also maintains rodent bait stations in my yard. If you'd like them to spray inside the house and garage, you have to call them for an appointment; otherwise, they'll just check and spray the outside. read more

They arrived on time, took my concerns seriously, (following me around my basement as I expressed my concerns about spiders), and treated me with respect and politeness. We have been clients with Holiday now for at least 3 years. When we moved into the house our first fall and winter...had a problem with tiny mice in winter and spider and ants in spring and summer. It was absolutely an uncomfortable feeling...worked with a couple companies, but their process felt less effective, but somehow very costly. We now are on a subscription program with Holiday and the coin is worth it. They are knowledgeable, effective, and prompt. Everyone who shows up has been respectful and competent. We have been seen an increasing number of ants in the basement, so just to be on the safe side, we wanted a professional to take a look and came across Holiday given its great reviews. It was a breeze to schedule an initial appointment and Anthony was able to come at our preferred time with proper heads-up. He was very professional in explaining why we have been seen more ants and what he would do to prevent them from coming. We noticed a termite swarm in early June and panicked. We called a few companies and some claimed we had a termite problem and "they're probably already inside the walls" despite it only being a few we saw further from the house. Holiday, however, came over and carefully examined each inch of our foundation and porch and said we likely didn't have an issue yet but recommended the termidor barrier. So honest, helpful and affordable. We now have peace of mind for 10 years as long as we have the annual inspection done for a nominal fee. The employee that was sent out was always very informative and respectful (wore a mask even outside to talk to my husband). He left the space completely clean and as if it was untouched ! Highly recommend and trust them. Editing to add that we had to have some drainage work done after our Termidor treatment and afterwards they were so nice and quick to come back and retreat the small area that was dug up by the drainage company. Highly recommend this pest control company! We had spotted a mouse in our townhome a few years ago and called them immediately. They were extremely responsive, came out, and found and repaired a hole that they suspected the mouse used to enter our home. We set up a recurring service with them and never had that problem again. Fast forward a few years, and we moved into a single family home. We had been having a problem with ants in the summer, but when fall started coming around we found evidence of a mouse. We again called Holiday to come out and take care of both the ants and mice. Everyone from the young lady who handles scheduling to our fabulous technician (I believe his name is Anthony) is pleasant and very easy to deal with. Anthony came out and did a thorough inspection, set up bait stations, treated the outside of the house, and came to check on us a week later. He is very friendly, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable! Happy to say that our ant and mouse problems are gone, and we have again established a monthly service with them.
