It all started when I was getting a yellow jacket or two in my living room on a daily basis, and my general pest control company was not able to find where they were coming from. You can imagine my frustration and disappointment when several technicians of my pest control company and even their district manager were not able to solve the problem. Arterix - Beekeepers have provided outstanding service and helped us multiple times now with yellowjackets in our home and yard, mice, and carpenter bees. Regarding the yellowjackets in our home, Art quickly found where the yellowjackets were coming into the house - through a hole in the mortar of our exterior brick wall, traveling through the gap between the exterior wall and drywall and into the bedroom through a gap next to the air duct. Art treated the yellowjackets and solved our problem. He also later treated 2 yellowjacket nests in our yard, also solving that problem. The Arterix technicians also treated mice in our attic. They found where the mice were entering the home through a small gap next to an external hose bib and sealed the gap, effectively eliminating our mice problem. They also provided an attic disinfection service afterwards to sanitize this space where the mice were. Finally, Arterix effectively treated carpenter bees in our deck. We tried to treat the carpenter bees for years on our own, trying multiple tactics that never worked. After the bees caused extensive damage to our wood deck, we finally called Arterix, and they eliminated our problem within 1 treatment. Pest control is not a subject most people want to think about, let alone write about. That said, Arterix Pest Control/The Bee Keepers has been keeping us creepy crawly bzzz free for several years now. We use the company for a variety of services, starting with our regular pest control service to keep normal bugs out of the house. The ants and insects that once got so comfortable invading our home that they started forwarding their mail here have long been exterminated. Arterix gave us even more critical help when various kinds of bees decided to set up shop in the wood in our back deck, and more menacing bees moved into a tree by our driveway. I am highly allergic to bee stings and the sight of swarms of menacing bees terrified me. The owner of the company himself (Art) came out here immediately and on both occasions and battled the SOBs. They're long gone, too. When our good-natured effort to feed birds resulted in a rat invasion to steal the bird seed scattered away from the bird feeders, Art put an end to their regime as well. Mice and Roach Treatment I used Arterix after I moved into my home in 2019 after repeated failed attempts using big companies like Terminix. They cost a fortune and did not deliver results. Arterix showed not only their expertise but their true care and desire to fix the problem at hand from the very first visit. They were efficient, thorough and communicated well within their organization. I used to have issues when a different member of the team would come on site without knowledge of the prior visit but I did not have that issue at all with Arterix. They documented prior visits well and the tech always did their due diligence with reviewing prior to coming to my home for reinspection or refilling bait stations. I heard suspicious sounds in my kitchen and was convinced we had a rodent infestation. I called Arterix Pest Control late on a Friday at the start of a holiday weekend in the hopes of booking someone to come over the following week. (in the meantime, I was plenty freaked out and avoiding my kitchen). I got a call back from Derrick at Arterix around 6 pm and he offered to come by that evening to check things out. He arrived at 7 pm and we were very grateful to him for stopping by so late. Derrick was knowledgeble, professional and an all-around personable guy, and he did a full hour inslectionary, including our kitchen, in the crawl space and around the outside of the house. He showed us what to look for in terms of infestation, and pointed out several ways we could secure the house against unwanted pests. We were on vacation and renting our house out on Airbnb when we got a sudden influx of mice into our home. The Arterix team came out the next day to start treatment so that our guests felt comfortable and that the last few days of their stay would be safe. After we came home the team came out again to inspect what they had done previously and made some changes to the plan and explained everything to us in such a way that we are 100% comfortable that what we're doing is working even though it will take some time. They'll be coming out again in a few weeks to ensure the new plan is paying dividends and to help us shore up any entry points to the house that they can find. I called Arterix to help with bees in our backyard. They sent someone out immediately, and did a fantastic job seeking out the bees, explaining how they built their nests and making a courtesy check around our property for other pests. When they came out a second time to follow up and see if the bees had come back, it happened to be a day when we had a pipe burst in our basement. The technician spent extra time with me to review the damage, and asked me how he could help. He could see how bewildered I was and offered to help send pictures to my insurance company. He followed up several weeks later to find out how I was. Later we had Arterix fulfill a termite contract for us. They gave us a competitive price with no pressure, and worked to help us find a service time that would work for us. When they were out, they did a quick check in our kitchen and basement to look for house centipedes that I had seen a couple of times - at no cost. I saw a mouse in my kitchen two days in a row. Wanting to nip this problem early, I called Arterix after reading positive reviews on Yelp. Derek arrived the next day. He inspected my house and walked me through the process, clearly explaining what the plan was and why he thought it was the best course of action. He left some bait stations in suspected problem areas to get a sense of how the mice were moving around my house. They were out of the way and hidden from my curious little dog. After a couple of weeks, Derek came for a follow up visit to seal off any potential entrances the mice might be using. So far, no more mice. There will be at least one more follow up visit in a few months to check up on everything. The service comes with a one year warranty, so I feel confident that Arterix is going to do everything it can to keep the pests at bay. I recommend their service. LOVE these guys! Treatments by Terminix did absolutely nothing to reduce the number of bugs/ants/centipedes/spiders in my new construction house, so I called these guys and I'm so glad I found them! The treatments WORK and are even natural. And then when carpenter ants decided to set up a nest in my car (!!!), these guys were my first phone call, and they fixed it! Because seriously, who can even stand driving down the road and having great big carpenter ants falling down on them from the car's ceiling or having those same ants crawling up their legs or across the steering wheel while they're driving?! Seriously - talk about a car crash waiting to happen! Also had these guys do a whole-house termite treatment and warranty, but only after doing tons of research to make sure that the product they were using was the best on the market (it is). Art came to my house to evaluate a boxelder problem I had. About a week ago hundreds were sunbathing on my house. I started attacking them myself and finally called in a pro. I texted Art on a weekend and he showed up promptly on Monday at a time that worked around my toddlers nap. I don't know any service provider that does this :) He evaluated my house and the boxelders and nearby trees. It was sunny and about 55 degrees. We only saw a couple of boxelders. He easily could have done the treatment anyway and charged me. But he was honest and told me it wasn't necessary and perhaps we should watch and wait to see if more surface as weather warms. He gave me advice on how to seal up cracks around my house. Professional, honest and he knows his pests and how to best treat them. I wish every home contracting professional service I hired was half as good as Art and his staff! For routine maintenance they are competitive, thorough, so VERY knowledgeable, and prompt and communicative. The rates are reasonable for a tremendous service. And when you have a problem they go from super to just plain AMAZING! We had ground bees infest our front lawn. Infest meaning almost 1000 entrance holes. They were on the phone to me from within an hour of the call in the evening and were on my doorstep at dawn the next morning. Problem handled-- each hole. We have not used our yard or deck in years in the summer due to mosquitoes. I looked at a few of the big name companies but was frankly worried about the toxicity of the chemicals they use. Enter Art. They use a treatment that sterilizes the mosquitoes without poisoning the environment. And we are deck partyers once again! And have I mentioned how nice they are to deal with? Sudden ground yellow jacket nest stung us over the weekend in back yard. Derek and Arterix offered outstanding service, clarity, and speed to treat the hive. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. Nice. Then they texted at that time. Nice! Then clear text exchange to set up a time and then they came AT that time today. Nice. Derek and others in company seem to have extensive pest experience and he was clear on the two chemicals he used -- underscored that there will be activity for a few days as the 2nd chemical poison kicks in/spread by members of the colony. I get it! yay. Also - fair that the treatment was for a smaller hive and likely wouldn't need a 2nd treatment so offered a lower price. I greatly appreciated that. read more

We had just found that were had some sort of bug issue and highly suspected termites, AND were leaving on vacation with 5 days. Arterix had the best review in the area. We found out why. Art (the owner) return our call and was able to come take a look that same day. He also treated the inside of the house where found a small colony. That was SERVICE!! He came to do the outside treatment once the ground was drier, and found that there was an additional part of the colony that extended to the floor above. He fixed that right there and then, then proceed to treat the outside. I should note that this colony was found in an area of the house that used to be exposed to the outside OVER 15 YEARS AGO before being enclosed. I STRONGLY suggest that you hire them to inspect and set up an annual agreement to make sure these nasties do not damage your home, and yes, we also set up an annual inspection schedule with them. read more

Great communication and service. Art contacted me within hours after requesting an appointment, which we confirmed on the call after he explained his pricing and service guarantee. He sent me a reminder text with my time window (2.5 hour window) the day before the appointment. The morning of the appointment, Art sent me text saying he was 10 minutes away. Very impressive thus far. When Art arrived he graciously introduced himself, put on his booties (thanks) and asked to be shown where the problems were. He clearly explained his remediation strategy (3 different treatments) and then went about his work, which he completed in 30/45 minutes. When he was finished, Art said he would contact me in 2 weeks to schedule a follow-up visit. In sum, wonderful service from an owner/operator who values professionalism and great customer service.
